ihedioramma:using 18% as an example u will get #200naira each month. if the rates remain at 18% for October, 200naira will be added again |
ihedioramma:in lay mans terms, its simply an vehicle where the investment company pools funds from different investors and help to invest on their behalf on low risks assets, typically treasury bills, banker acceptances etc. The screenshot I uploaded above, shows where the funds of investors are going to. from that pic above u see that about 46% of the funds are going to Tbills, 40% to bank deposits and 9.9% to commercial papers. with this you know where your money is going to. There are different departments, if I am to use that word. like fixed income fund or balanced fund, these ones have low-mid level risk because funds here go into the stock market. .Most people prefer the Money market fund because of its low risk! You can check up The websites of these Fund managers eg First bank. stanbic ibtc, arm etc to learn better. Below is the factsheet from first bank 2015 (using this as an illustration).. - You see where the funds are going to in the pie chart - You see the yield on a month-month basis - You see the charges and read the news affecting yields
|
ihedioramma:Regardless of the amount, its best to lock in on the present high rates in Tbills. If possible tick the re-invest option in your form to get a higher yield. My take is that In money market funds, the rates aren't stable. You may get 18% today, next month it could be down to 16%. But if you choose let's say 6months in Tbills, that rate is fixed through the whole of that 6months Look at this FBN fact sheet. and watch how yields dropped by 2% from November 2015 to December 2015
|
cucumbar:of course it will 400-500k monthly for a year amounts to 4.8-6m per annum. with the rates hovering at about 18% 35million should yield 6.3 million Gross! That's still enough to meet up with his standard of living. However it's best u invest that sun in Tbills where you can lock in on the 18%. With money market fund, the rates could drop further affecting the yield from 6.3 to a lower sum. Nevertheless, I don't suggest he quits the job |
lool, naira landers dey vex o. so this offering thing dey pain una like this. na why social media good o. At least people get to voice out their frustrations , not faking cheerful givers in the midst of Christians, lol |
This man abi boy no be true nwa afor. His stupidity is beyond imagination. All your 8years sweat, you stupidly put in a car that will be subjected to cross examination at the ports. You dull die. You could even spread the risk by sending it in bits. I am sure this will teach him enough money lesson to last him and his generations |
Wait o she didnt just dash the pastor the car, she also gave him 80k for the maintenance. Which kain mumunity be this now Now wey her eye don clear. make she better go join charly Boi for him protest, nansense!

It wasn't actually 100naira that lead to the K.O punch, it was the girls Tongue spitting fire and brimstones. Her words engulfed the man and brought out the beast in him. This is why the holy book says Guard your tongue! Women have very sharp mouth, it takes one with HUGE SElf-CONTROL to avoid their tantrums.

Usually this sort of case arise when a lecturer threatens to fail a student except she sleeps with him, or the deed has been done and he didn't award the necessary mark to her insteading seeking more "Flenjo" time. Well I won't judge you yet until I hear the other side of the story from the girl. Naso The holy book teach me

in her own definition of rich maybe na like 500k ohh.

vizkiz:Kpele but this one show say u no sabi fashion. Harrysong added more details to the overall concept with the hat and a rolled up sleeve. Plus he has the body for it. See as wizkid be like broom inside the material. |
Pesuzok:If you had maintained your stance with stanbic, then I may just have agreed but to say that with FBN MMF, you didn't get charged means you are not observant. Look above at the screen shot. it says 0.75% for Management fee. I even posted the chart that shows the portfolio where the funds go? Do u even monitor the Total Investment funds monthly (fund size) coz most of y'all dont? Nna go and do your homework well. if I hadn't invested in FBN MMF I would have kept quiet |
That's true, chamberlain has always been referred to the next big thing at arsenal. Time and time again we didn't see what he is good at. People will say he is good as a winger, some say he is best in the midfielder. Dude na average!!! |
Edenoscar2:u dey mind am. The guy think say everything na gra gra. Dem suppose give am some match ban
|
I laff at you guys ignorance. have u guys suddenly forgotten Liverpool? The slayer of big teams. The game is Liverpool to win/draw Mancity stands no chance in the game |
Just look at her. after misbehaving they now want to leech on someone's emotion forming youth empowerment. That's the height of her insecurity, You can't deal with the fact that you messed up and so seeking a youth empowerment programme where u can pour out your frustrations. Will u get inside, nansense

talktrue1:No investment house will invest on your behalf without a charge. How then do they feed and run the business. Go and do your research well with stanbic ibtc. there must be a charge! |
Partnerbiz3:I haven't terminated before, so I don't know what the penalty charges would, however be rest assured that the charges would be on your interest and not capital. .Go to the bank and they will compute it for you. Cheers |
You guys forget the most important thing, which is rate fluctuation. With Money market fund, you are exposed to rate fluctuations. Rates that was once high can crash so badly affecting your general roi, likewise it could also increase. ( look below at my screenshot with first bank money market). But with Tbills you can lock in at a particular rate over the period of time you plan investing.... Ur rate will remain constant for that period of time you are investing. Also With First bank money market, you get your interest paid Quarterly ( after every three months). With Tbills your interest rate is paid Upfront. Also the charges in MMF is sightly higher than what you will get in Tbills 0.75% against 0.1% mostly in Tbills For me I am more comfortable lending to the govt than to banks, I dunno how banks plan to repay investors in time of crisis, but with the Govt I know they can always print currencies! Tbills over MMF anyday anytime!

doublezero7:MI na boss, because of mI I became more interested in 9jq rap music. His song cuts across every age or gender. Usually you won't find girls listening to rap, but with M.I girls too became interested in rap. Look at Olamide, started with eni-duro and I was like damn this dude is on fire even tho I barely hear Yoruba. same with Phyno but now all they do is singing. They sing not because its what people want like they always say in interview. They sing because its the easier option. Its hard to always drop bars that are tight in your tracks or tracks that have you featured in. They have experienced the writers block writing raps and so resorted to singing. For me Olamide for example cannot be classified as a rapper. Out of 5songs he releases just one is a pure rap

shinel:No mind dem, I wonder the way some people think. Most of them are guilty of the same offence but will come online to form saint so they can seek likes. Primitive thinking mist of them have, If you want to know why naija no dey grow. enter Nairaland and read the archaic thoughts of our youths. |
Evaberry:common, I opened my first Yahoo mail at age 11 by MYSELF, it was such a big deal then. I was so fascinated about getting an email Addy. In fact the trend in school was trying to chat with our school mates or foreigners via Yahoo messenger. Isnt yahoo messenger some form of social media? I dunno why y'all like to form saints on NL when most of us did have such freedom. What am I saying? There is nothing wrong with an 11yr having access to social media. It spurs the IT knowledge in you from an early age. Ever since I opened that email at age 11, I have become so interested in computers. I knew all the short codes that some class mates would ask how i knew what ctrl v or ctrl C was for during test/classes. What kids need is proper discipline, social media or not

MrBrownJay1:Bros why English language hard you to understand? |
sgtponzihater1:I have some kinda belief he could be a celebrity hiding under that moniker, because whenever news regarding a celeb host frontpage, he was quick to comment about the persons past and say stuff that majority of nairalanders never knew about. |
I am not inspired by this story and never will. 35k? When I dey university, I no how much I dey collect monthly as pocket money and e no dey reach me. Even during Nysc, allowee + ppa pay + small extra chips didn't give me a very comfortable life, e come be married man. MBA MBA MBA!!! Op God help you, If I were your brother I would have advised you waited a little more so you can open a second source of income. If Your friends can contribute money for wedding, they can also contribute money for you to Start something by the side. Op You are on a very Rough road, fForget all this sugar coating you see on nairaland, you will need a tough skin to pull through. Accumulating degrees don't translate to financial success! Goodluck

IamKashyBaby:That's best! stay off the contest. |
IamKashyBaby:inasmuch as you seem lively to chat with, u don't stand a chance in the contest. #no offence taken |
sgtponzihater1:very true After seun as no1 lalasticlala as no2 Nwa amakipe was no3 in popularity dude wanted go steal the top spot |
I don't just understand what this story is about. Is it that NSE has prevented Rocha's okorocha from acquiring the said stock, or they don't want that huge volume to be transacted in a single swoop? If its to prevent okorocha from getting the stocks, the question then should be; is it legal to restrict certain people from investing? I thought the stock market is supposed to be free entry for all investors? |
youngin:That dude isn't brilliant. He didn't account for purchasing power, he just heard the figure and assumed it was a paltry sum. In 1978, it was said he Dangote borrowed 500,000naira from his grandfather. I am sure when he heard 500,000 he equated it with the value of 500,000 in today's world...Well its been said by some that in 1978, that amount could buy 20mercedes benz, some say its 100. And u know how luxurious Benz cars are, so its sure a whole lot of money to kickstart ur career |
Phyde:maybe so. but the poor will always exist. Jesus says the poor you shall always have amongst you. Just as no one is destined to fail in a class however you will still find students who failed. that's life |
35k? No! I can't even let my sisters marry one who earns 35k monthly. Neither will I as a male be thinking of marriage with 35k. Money is the no1 problem in marriage, with 35k at stake there will definitely be problems. I didn't grow up in a house where Dad started with 35k, so why should I or my siblings start with such. I didn't grow up to think like that low. If your Dad started that small in marriage then that's a good motivation for you. For me, Nope.
