Yungsix best rapper?
Even Phenom will eat Yungsix anyday anytime. Knight house general!!! Go listen to M.I ft Phenom - 6foot 7foot and see how he gave Mr Incredible a run for the best verse.

p.s Eriggas rap sucks! His lyrics can't spark the genius in my thinking faculty.

it droped to 7 percent and missed some days from maturity to reinvestment how do u calculate that.....now let do local investment maths if i bought rice of 13 million at 7500 i will have 1733.3 bags but with my 20 million now after 5 year @16000 per bag 1 will have 1250 bags i have lost 483.3 bags just like that . u can clearly speculate on the Naira against the dollar in 5 year it might hit 400 naira it mitigate the risk spread investment..if could have bought some dollars and kept in the dorm or safe 5 million(32000 dollars), tb (5 million) land (1 million)money market fund(1 million) gold(1 million) am sure my net portfolio will be around 30 million naira as at today
Well, Everybody has his or her own risk appetite. It seems you can stomach the risk of currency speculating. What I do know is Concentration in an asset builds wealth, diversification preserves it.

I don't know your age but let's say you decided to Stash this 20m UNTOUCHED for 20yrs at 13% annually (although its doing higher than 13% for now). With compound interest at your mercy , after 20yrs your 20m will turn ATLEAST 230million or more. I believe at this age you should be thinking retirement.

How certain are you that if you do business with 20m today it will surpass 230m in 20yrs?

In the end its good to diversify, For me I am a strong disciple of COMPOUND INTEREST.

For now, Tbills is good atleast within 2016 and 2017, rates have averaged 17%. Someone who started with the same 13m as you in January 2016 , by December 2017 would have made 17m in just 2yrs.

in 2012 i invested around 13 million naira in tb that about 81000 dollars ,dollar was 160 rate drop to 7 percent per anum around 2015 and pick up around 2017 when my investments was 20 m from compounding ....now do the calculation 20,000,000/360=55,000 dollars i have made a lost of 25000 dollar x360= 9 million naira just becos one useless apc and buhari scattered the naira ....i almost had high bp when the naira peak at 520 i almost died from daily devaluation news ...

2 .if i had just bought dollars and kept and sell @520 x81000 my investments capital will be 42 million naira

3 tb is not risk free there is risk of devalution and low rate

4.am not discouraging any one from tb investment but learn to spread your portfolio (dorm, land, blue chip stock, bond, rents,tb,business, salary)
5. we are hoping the naira to recover to 280 when dangote refinery start work then we are mitigate our loss from devaluation
Mr Alikote
You have spoke some sense tho. but I need to set out some few misconceptions in your writeup.

Putting your money in a Tbills vehicle is Investing, whereas exchanging your funds for dollars is Pure Speculation. Its the same speculation that is driving the crypto currency in today's world, And need I remind you that Speculative investment is very risky!

No one is a guru at being speculative, eg you cant even tell when dollar will drop to 280 you are just HOPING on Dangote's refinery to kick off.

Alhaji Dangote who is more versed than you in business had a drop in the valuation of assets when converted to dollars.

Rather than worry over how you are keeping up with Exchange rate. Its more feasible to worry over the effects of the exchange rate on you and I, which is inflation.

In 5yrs, your funds increased from 13m to 20m. What 13m could afford in 2012, I am certain 20m can afford that today and still leave change!.

Nevertheless I don't believe ur 13m should yield 20m in 5yrs because by my count
13m should yield 22m at 12%.
Tbills has averaged atleast 12% annually in the last 5yrs, I stand to be corrected!!!

You claim you are not discouraging anybody from Tbills but you indirectly are. I believe most people here have active business that yields income for them , Tbills is just a way of providing passive income with lil or no risk attached of defaulting.

A true investment is in investment in a cash flowing asset, From rented properties to a leased land to Money market its the best form of investment. Investment strategy where you buy and hold hoping for an Increase in value before selling is not usually advised by Top Investment gurus.

I have a concern, what if the Federal Government is unable to fulfill its TBILLS obligations?

Based on the budget, we should have a full year budget deficit of N2.37 Trillion, but at half year, we already have N2.5.

Based on the budget, we should have a full year debt service of N1.66 Trillion but in half year we already have excess of N1 Trillion.

Revenue is not increasing. Where will they get the money from in the next years when these TB reach maturity?

Just trying to voice out my fears about my investments.

Elders in the house?
simple they issue more volumes. coz that's what they do always.
Eg If FG issues 1,000,000 units at 364days for 20%
It means they need to pay 1,200,000. so what they do is
Offer a bigger amount at the next auction date.
They offer 1,200,000 and people subscribe to it, they use the new investors funds to pay off the old investors matured funds. Its kinda like a ponzi cycle, lol.

As old one is maturing, use new funds to pay off the old guys. A logical cycle!

This is the major approach they take. Revenues and money priniting are other alternate methods they can use to cover up the increasing debt obligations

TinaAnita:
That's just the fundamental reason for the high rate of divorce. Take for instance, how is it possible for a marriage where the woman is the breadwinner to work? How can a marriage work if the woman earns more than the man? Such a woman can't be submissive to a reasonable extent.
Let's keep deceiving ourselves.
Well I have no problem with a woman earning more than a man, I mean who says the wife I marry now cannot be richer than I am after few years in the marriage.

The crux of the matter is, Am I the one handling the financial obligations in the house?

Myles Munroe would say A woman should Never be under Pressure to contribute! If a man keeps pushing his wife to bring out money simply because he knows she earns more than her, he is setting his marriage for doom because soon she will see him less of a man!

No matter how much a man earns, he should be the one handling the financial aspect, except the wife decides to share the burden OUT OF HER FREE-WILL/LOVE

Otherwise its wrong to coerce a wife to contribute!!!

Many people don't know that one of the major reasons a man cheats is boredom. Me I have made up my mind that if I can't find the kind of woman I know I can communicate with and she's interesting I will just have kids. Beauty will fade and sex will reduce but what will remain is communication. Many women need to learn how to communicate.
Boredom is not a major reason people cheat. You cheat because you can't control your desire. You van marry an Introvert, What you term fun may not be appealing to your Introverted partner eg going out often or Visiting places. To an introvert, that's exhausting but you could term your partner boring.

You cheat because you have given in to the desire/fantasy you have created in your head, period!!!
FamilyRe: Why marriages are failing and solutions by chukzyfcbb: 1:57pm On Sep 02, 2017
coz times have changed.
In the past, The roles of a husband and wife was clear.
The man brings home the food, protects and provides the needs of the family while
The woman cooks the food, nurses the kids, takes care of the home. it was that simple, both parties were clear on their roles.

But Now the roles have changed.

Men now want women to contribute to the needs of the family, while women feel since they are earning money and can take care of themselves and their kids, they don't need a man bossing them around in the family.

So because both the man and woman don't know what it is to be a wife and husband in now citing these new roles, it leads to divorcé.

some people should stay put and focus on things which will benefit them rather than wasting time doing what will not yield you a better result.

just saying my mind!
Lol I kinda like your reasoning. She is going to waste 4yrs on crude methods taught in the Dept of theatre arts at our Yeye schools, when she could having done maybe 1-2yrs professional training at a Film school abroad.
2yrs of Intense training in a Filming school than waste yr1 on learning calculux, humanities and those bull shi.ts

Nigerians always have this mentality that who no go university na illiterate. She is already active in movies, all she need is little more knowledge to hone her skills.

A good Filming school for 1-2yrs will really sharpen her acting skills. Naija and this Certificate madness self!

Although I don't subscribe to the idea of going with police/soldiers, but you should let her know your state of mind in an Unruly manner! If she truly likes you. she will apologize and feel bad afterwards turning a new leaf

Actually for food processing companies, they should integrate backwards to generate and sustain adequate supply of raw materials. Dangote should organise a cooperative of tomato farmers. Assist with improved seeds etc and have a purchasing agreement with them

Most tomatoes are lost to waste due to lack of storage capacity. Processing to paste would help reduce the waste
I believe this comment was written out of lack of information. sheer ignroance.

Do you even know where the plant is situated?
Dangote being much smarter than erisco, constructed his own plant right in the hub of the tomato source. at Kano! Also made some sort of aggrements with the farmers to be supplying his plant the needed products, I mean thats why we have a plant to preserve the waste due to lack of storage.

You think those working with Dangote haven't thought of those criterias you wrote? lool.
He has done all those. infact The other guy Erisco took a big L by erecting his own plant in Lagos.

How can he compete with Dangotes plant in kano?

One rule of bizness is
- Nearness to Raw material
this is what is taught in Economics Secondary school.

The real crux is that you and I are not ready to buy a tin tomato/ puree that will be more expensive and not also will not make my food red simple!!!!

Dangotes group has observed all those ur points sir and nothing worked!

Some people foolishly think this man is a shrewd business man, he isn't. Who knows Dangote before 1999? Nobody. Monopoly from Obasanjo's government is what propelled him. Someone should tell him to meet that Igbo man that has the largest paste factory in Nigeria to teach him business. He doesn't have access to dollar like Dangote, but knows what he is doing.
actually the IBO man whom you are quoting threatened to close his factory (sack 1500 workers) because he couldn't cope without govts intervention.
He asked for an outright ban on tomato importation and cited lack of Forex to run his business.

The true opponents are the importers of tomato paste. The ones produced in Nigeria are said not to be reddish in colour by consumers, Nigerians want tomato that's cheap and makes their food appear reddish in colour which has given preference to the Products imported from China.

So its not just dangote, but to all who owns tomato plants in Nigeria , including the Igbo man Ericso!

Producing tomato in Nigeria is more expensive than the ones imported from China. Naija no dey look quality o.
