This was a funny interview Buhari's accent is getting more understandable. Kudos to him. I liked the interviewer. He didn't sugarcoat his questions. All buhari needed was to give direct answers instead of ambiguous ones. Do you still support sharia. Yes or no? Why haven't you found the chibok girls after claiming your predecessor was inept at finding them? Simple simple questions. |

Yea. I think more awareness on the issue should be raised too. It's really sad. thorpido: Most women who suffer post partum psychosis usually have a history of mental illness or a family history.A proper assessment of a pregnant woman is the best way to pick such cases. Most women will also present a few days after birth so the hospital can start treatments for such cases on time.in the western world,it might be easier to do follow-ups but in Nigeria follow-up is poor. If the problem starts at home,it might be difficult(I guess that's the case of the woman in the story).
Generally mental illness is on the increase. In the case of post partum psychosis,i don't know if single parenthood(baby mama) contributes to it.Being in a loving and stable relationship does help to prevent it. |

faith551: Believe me, anything can happen, but only a man without shame will report to a hospital because of rape. What are you going to be treated for, a broken hymen, fractured joystick #scofs bullshit!!!!
Btw where did you hear a man ranting about being cared for? This kind of opinion is why boy victims hardly report rape. But then they come online and create anonymous threads about how their older house girl used to molest them when they were eight and how it affects them now that they are older. Pls if you don't care about being raped, don't spoil the market for those who might. @hospitals they could be treated for STDs if any and/or counseled if they require counseling especially for younger boys. |

nd07: Pls how is it possible 2 rape man? sex can only transpire when there is erection & erection can only take place amidst williness. Wrong. No be una dey talk say the thing has a mind of its own? I bet it can respond to touch without the person being willing to participate. And What if the guy is underage? Even he's willing, it's still rape because he's not of age to give consent. Count the number of teenage boys losing their virginity to older females and you'll know some guys are being raped under your nose but they think it's okay. Or if he's an adult and he's drugged or the women were far more in number and overpowered him? And ooh what if it was by fellow men stronger than him? I know you're sitting there and going "eww. God forbid" . But it can happen. I know male adult rape is not very common but it is still possible. So apart from prosecuting the rapist, the victim still needs help to heal. Where there's the institution for female victims to get help, there should also be for makes to get help. It doesn't make them sissy. |

faith551: Silly ppl, so they approve to gender equality and open a hospital for male rape victims So gender equality makes the ladies stronger and the guys weak? Well what do I say, Western countries where men becomes bitchy sissies. What are you saying? So male victims of sexual assault don't deserve care because it will make them sissy? You're not serious. Do you believe men can't be raped? It happens if you don't know. Gender equality doesn't make the ladies stronger and more capable of rape. It only means that as much as female victims deserve care, the male victims also deserve care. That's what gender equality here means. |

thorpido: I knew she had to have psychiatric issues before opening the thread.
Poor baby. It's seems like this issue of post partum psychosis is now more common than ever. I think hospitals should be doing impromptu follow up checks on new born babies within a certain period after birth and assess the mental health of the mothers before and after birth. I don't know know what the statistics are for child mortality resulting from post natal depression/psychosis but they seem pretty high and increasing. |

This is funny and accurate. babygirlfl: True. Read some posts on this thread and you will see the subtle attempt by some posters to make medicine appear softer than Engineering. It's not that they don't know that they are both difficult courses, it's because women are now doing medicine and are even dorminating the field so it must be easy because to certain people, when a woman can do it, then it must be easy. The same thing they are saying about women in Engineering and technical courses today is what they said about women and medicine some years ago. If women started doing Engineering and these courses, it would suddenly become easy. |

She should tell the man. That's what I'd do if I was her. That will even be a valid reason for him to walk away. At least he won't feel obligated to keep staying with her.
They should See it as a kind of solution. The two HIV positive lovers can raise their baby while he moves on and stops living in fear of getting it from her one day. |

Reprehensible? Do you even know the meaning of the words you're using sef? Anyway nothing much to add beyond what other posters have said. If you really believe the woman alone has all those duties you mentioned in your post, then you might as well believe the man had no role at all in the marriage. Because according to your post, the man and wife aren't even partners in the marriage. He's just a bedside decoration. Highcuerayte: Thank you for the reprehensible remarks. It is not for fun I wrote "A woman that cannot keep a home as failed in everything" To you it might seems unrealistic but that is the truth.
A woman's duty is to protect her home,Eve was made to be a helper to Adam but which kind of helper, and which way is she to help? On their home; the garden of Eden. Remember Adam was to keep and dress his home but he cannot do it he needs someone to keep it for him and that's why we have Eve.Eve is to keep the home but when she failed what happened to their garden home?
My audience basically are women.I wrote this for women who are loosing their marriage. |
