I don't think it has anything to do with looks or lack of offline attention.

Different people have different personalities and for some, it's hard to go against the popular opinion even to their own detriment.

fellis:
I think women that can't get any type of male attention in real life are the ones that rush to bring themselves down online so that men will praise them.

They are typically fat, ugly, smelly and dull so they go their whole lives not getting any male attention that's why they become so desperate to the point of turning themselves to footmats online so that men can notice them.

That's some women for you.

Instead of helping to secure the future for their daughters and grand daughters, they are more interested in winning the approval of men who actually consider them sub-human in comparison.

If our brave fore mothers that brought feminism to where it is today didn't do what they had to do and endure dislike for our own good, we would probably still be at the stage where we can't vote or go out without the approval of a man.

I wonder what's more important. Being liked by some faceless insecure men or doing what's important for the future generations.

The men will still turn around to label them fish brain. I wonder what kind of masochism makes some women single handedly uphold all the ideologies and traditions that oppress them.
I don't understand them.
People are really different. That I see now.

fellis:
You see all these men? They are all superior to you.
They are better than you and their lives have more value than yours.
The first is a theif, the second is a mass murderer and the third are three mentally unbalanced/lunatics in an insane asylum.

They are all superior to you dolly joy.

Gerrard59:
Nobody is saying men have to wash dishes, however, leaving dishes unwashed and even clothes for your partner to come and wash when you could do it isn't fair. Saying that a lady who comes from work late in the night to come and cook even when you came earlier than her is not fair. What stops the man from cooking and keeping some for his partner? This transcends beyond feminism, it's about doing to others as you want others to do to you.

Furthermore, feminism has helped the world and obliterated useless misconceptions and culture. Why should a lady have a male as a sponsor before she can rent an apartment because she's single? That's what feminism has done to help the society. It has given rights to my sister, nieces, female cousins and definitely my future daughter(s) to do things hitherto they weren't allowed to do or achieve. Saying that women have to put up with terms like "men are polygamous by nature"; which gives you the freewill to cheat isn't fair whatsoever.

Nevertheless, there are fanatics in any system or movement. However, feminism, however you look at it has contributed to global development. It has given rights to those who don't have any, hope to the downtrodden, opportunities to those who didn't have any to grab, dreams to those who never had any, education to illiterates and many more.

I'm proud to be a feminist.

A home is a habitation of love. Where there is love, there is no law. Dos and donts are commonplace and draw alot of attention where love isnt supreme. If she is busy, why cant d man wash their clothes, or cook? Its nobodys job. Its up to both parties to do whats necessary to keep d right atmosphere in d home. My wife washes my clothes. But i do them when i can or when she is busy. We both do what we have to, period.

Does that mean abused people should stay with their abusers?

Because I don't understand this your rant.
Men who go through abuse have my support to leave their abusive spouses.

I don't see how telling women to leave husbands who abuse them negate the occurrence of male abuse.

You gat no point

Go google it and stop droping names of the shondes and arowolos.the weaker vessel aka women have been found to kill there husband's more than the other way round. There is a case going on in Ibadan now where a lawyer of a wife slit the husband troat in the middle of the night after an altercation in the evening, the landlord evev advice the guy to not go home yet after he was stab by the wife.violence is not gender based in marriage. You will not even believe what goes on in marriage. To tell you we have 4 types of abuse, physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological, research as even gone ahead to show that there are about 75% of women that are capable of doing the whole 4 Abuse's on the male folks.

Their kids who have lost a mother and a father are the ones suffering at the hands of Lekan Shonde and Arowolo
All Titi and Ronke's Loved ones are the ones suffering at the hands of Lekan Shonde and Arowolo
How will you feel if God forbid you were Ronke's Brother?
Be honest
I am almost sure that those kids are being treated as househelps in one uncle or auntys house
They are the ones suffering at the hands of Lekan Shonde and Arowolo

I want to correct your mentality that a woman who is not married due to whatever reason is half a human being.
Its not by force to remain married especially if your life is at risk.
People who are being treated with love and respect in their own marriages dont have 2 heads
I will never advise anyone to stay put in an abusive marriage just to satisfy society

You asked if someone will marry juzzybabe
I ask you, How much have you given to the upkeep of the Arowolo and the Shonde children and how much daddy time have you given them?

I think I posted a link to the video...in this video, a woman was describing an incident that occurred in the beach.....Mummy calling daddy names and shouting at dad. 5 year old son present. She turned to her son and said ..."your daddy is an eediot".

Growing up we had this neighbo9ur who would stop at nothing to announce to the whole world how useless her husband was.If this man ever hit his wife, I have no idea...infact if he did, she was crazy enough to tell everyone on the street. She gat mouth.

I just think it's about time we all said something about violence against men. Sometime back I was reading the news online where a hospital/clinic was built in Sweden to care for male rape victims.

Focus on the bolded.

The first bolded statement might have set the premise for the second.

The second bolded statement looks more like a back-up story to the consequence of anything that might have happened during the course of the first.

Anything.

If it did happen, it would have been normal (married women got pregnant, hence it's their husband's child)

But it didn't happen- now backup story is a lie.

It would be easier to say : ask her why she lied. But then how are you sure you won't get another lie?

Marriage is one funny institution.

Family › Re: One In 3 Victims Of Family Violence Is Male. Why Aren't We Paying Them Any Mind? by cococandy(f): 1:12pm On Jun 16, 2016
You'd be surprised it's the men themselves that will come here to shut you down.

I remember speaking about this on some occasions in the past and was accused of trying to emasculate men by encouraging them to show weakness. Odd eh?

We (our society) encourage men to swallow emotions and not show weakness because it's unmanly thereby making it difficult for those who are truly going through abuse to speak up for fear of being laughed at. (Mostly by their fellow men).

The truth is that not everyone can retaliate especially when it involves violence. So making mockery of a man because the woman in his life attacks him and he couldn't 'put her in her place' by beating her blue and black is counter productive. It turns people into what they are not.

Don't even get me started on male children who are victims of sexual assault. What do we do about them? High five them For scoring where the big men failed to score.

Older men are assumed to enjoy being sexually assaulted. And I'm confused because I can't speak for men in that issue. How is it that so?

Disgusting.

WellEndowed:
I have, in the past, come in contact with male victims of abuse. It makes me wonder though, why the society hasn't shone light to this issue. Is it too much for me to say that it is difficult if not almost impossible for a man to walk out of a relationship citing abuse than it is a woman.

Society maybe? the fear of being called weaklings or laughed at, is enough to cause a man to sit back and endure it all.

Is it impossible for a woman to rape a man? if such happened, what man would speak up for the whole world to hear?

If we all are fighting for equal rights, shouldn't we fight for these people?

Instead what he saw was an opportunity to paint a group of women black. Mtchew.

Of course,

Because they are not inclined to fast and pray for cheating wives like the Naija sistas here, they are evil.

Yea. Ignore the fact that guy is a user who's marrying someone he feels nothing for just to get papers and become a citizen himself.

If he gets there, cheats on her tomorrow and she files for a divorce, you'll claim you were right. But you conveniently forgot that it takes two people who really want to be together for the marriage to work.

eyeview:
I feel for you.
You're walking into trouble. You've got to understand that the value system women hold in the Us is entirely different from that of ladies obtainable here. Women from there are so empowered by law over the men. Though you'll be the husband, get ready to be thrown out of the house,to be arrested by the cops, etc if she you two have a misunderstanding.
I was besieged with such 'introductions' about ten years ago by aunties in the Us who had 'nice girls' over there they wanted me to meet and marry. First of all, their concept of 'nice girls' are way off the mark by our nigerian standards. For eg,you will run a profile on this 'nice girl' and you will find out that she has a boyfriend whom she spends weekends with, drinks(but occassionally),wears some tattoos in some hidden parts of her body, has smoked. You and I know that by our traditional value system, such doesn't fit the bill of a nice girl, talkless of my christian values.
I know some guys who got married under such arrangements. Today, they are either divorced over there(and the courts always will everything to the lady, leaving the guys to start afresh) or they are constantly being walked out of their own house by the cops because their wives called the cops on them. Some of them now call me to express their regrets and wish to even walk out of the marriage and return to Nigeria.
Most times, your interests are never the same but for the temptation to get 'papers',guys jump in. You should consider what you really want in a marriage.
Goodluck

P/s,there may still be ones whom you can strongly connect with and with good family values too
