You're only 24. Your sister is younger and it happened 3yrs ago making her even younger when it happened. Probably a teenager then.
Your man should have known better. I bet he was well older than that when he went slept with her. I'd end the relationship despite how hard that must be for you. I could forgive if it was someone else. But my sister? Na. |

No one has the power to do the stuff you described in your post. Your mother might very well hate your wife, wish her ill and even try to hurt her if given the chance. But she's not responsible for what's going on now. (Not that she's not trying to be). It's just that it's physically impossible. So while you and your wife seek medical help, forget the notion that your mother has such power over your lives. That's just a distraction from the serious issue at hand.
Be wise though and avoid her. So that she doesn't harm your wife if she gets the chance. She will come around by herself. Or not. You don't beg for love. |

Abel202: CHAI !!! Dictator Buhari can not stand any opposition. That is too bad, damned too bad for our democracy. Under Obasanjo, sitting governors Bola Tinubu and Orji Uzor Kalu were real thorns in his flesh, but he never did anything close to this. Under Jonathan, Amaechi was a thorn in his flesh, yet he couldnt do something similar to this.
Buhari is busy hounding every dissenting voice. Looking for trouble everywhere. How on earth is he ever gonna succeed this way?
Those applauding him on shall soon make the man over reach himself and self-destruct. His health in just one year is already showing signs of over reach.
The Nigerian democracy consistently improved from 1999 - Obasanjo to Yaradua to Jonathan, but in just one year of Buhari everything is retrogressing - that is too bad.
In 2016 Nigeria the truth is that Buhari's style of Tough Dog approach to everything is unsustainable. This is only one year. If he continues this way he will surely over reach himself, self-destruct- and crash - End of story, another person will take over. We deh here deh watch.. Egwu adighu at all. |

So buhari is really shamelessly going after his opponents so brazenly. Only a liar and a pretentious person will act like they don't know what this is. Keep supporting tyranny and megalomania. After he consumes his opponents (if he's able to get that far) and there's no one left for him to attack, he will turn on his followers and make life very miserable for those who don't kneel down and say and prayer to him every morning and evening.
This man has a mental problem. He has a god complex and that will be the undoing of this country. Someone who believes he's always right and detests criticism so badly cannot make a democratic leader. Nigerians were warned. Leopards can't change their spots. |

tearoses: Thanks dear How are you all doing
I cheated a bit though, all these flowers come back year after year I just need to prune them in the Autumn or spring and just feed them We are fine thank you. Yea but you still did the original work (planting etc) that is yielding these results now. I don't see the cheating here. You invested and now you're reaping the fruits. I just use 'I'm too busy' (although I am ) as an excuse to not get off my butt and put my money where my mouth is. Look at all that gorgeousness. I'm jealous |

Mmmmm. Rings true shaybebaby: I'll answer that one for you coco, it's fear. These "women" are not empowered and fear taking responsibility for themselves and happiness. To be truly free from subjugation, you have to accept the rights and responsibilities that comes with it. Right now, there is the default position that when things go wrong, all they have to do is work harder at pleasing their men and somehow they will be rewarded. Their belief is that men are responsible for their happiness and fulfilment. Take that ideology away and they realise that they are solely responsible for shaping their lives. That is one step too far for many, having no one to blame or look to as a messiah of some sort. Truly, the thought of taking ownership of oneself is frightening for them, they would rather be owned this absolved of the responsibility of nurturing their self growth. |

She will learn to think before yarning dust. Omotola that doesn't know where she belongs. One day she's not a feminist. The next day her husband goes to market for her because of her 'status'. Lol |
Celebrities › Re: Uche Jombo Blasts Wuraola Ogunwusi Over Her Speech On Gender Equality by cococandy(f): 8:43pm On Jun 18, 2016 |
That's the gender inequality at play. Olori is now more of a somebody than Uche because she married a man who's a king. .i.e the quality of her husband defines her. Not her achievements. Meanwhile a man who married up will not be considered more of an achiever than his counterpart who struggled to make it to the top. When women talk crap like this I don't know if they really think about what they are saying. To endorse a value system that doesn't consider you anything until you have a man to validate you. SMH. MsGlobalwonder: lmaooo.. so olori that was a "nobody" this time last year suddenly is more lofty than a veteran that has paid her dues in her profession because she has a differing opinion? Nigerians ehen.. too funny |
Celebrities › Re: Uche Jombo Blasts Wuraola Ogunwusi Over Her Speech On Gender Equality by cococandy(f): 8:26pm On Jun 18, 2016 |
You're doing such a good job. Wish I had your patience. Tolatutu: There is no law in place against gender discrimination right now so even if a woman goes to court and the family say its the custom since the Dad didn't leave a will she won't have a real legal leg to stand on. where theres no law theres no crime and that is why it must be spelt out .Abroad you can't be asking stupid questions about someones gender or marital status for things like renting a home and even employment because there are clearly defined laws in place and everyone knows the consequences of such discrimination.
Gender equality does not mention anyone gender, its simply saying no one must be denied oppourtunities based on their gender so it applies to both. Its only more relevant to women in these society because women tend to be the ones discriminated against.
Ministry of women is absolute crap so we dont need that or ministry of men. Nigerian politicians only came up with that to deceive women that their interests are being looked after when clearly we can see those ministries active nothing and are not needed. |
Celebrities › Re: Uche Jombo Blasts Wuraola Ogunwusi Over Her Speech On Gender Equality by cococandy(f): 8:25pm On Jun 18, 2016 |
They need to reassure their men that they are still very much under them and not rubbing shoulders with them. You know we don't want food money to stop coming or for ooni to stop taking us when he goes abroad. Tolatutu: The most irritating part is all these bimbos that don't have anything in their brain beyond marriage. we are talking about important issues affecting women who can't fight for themselves and all these ones care about is my husband this and that. They really think the law is interested who washes plates in their houses or put on the generator |
Celebrities › Re: Uche Jombo Blasts Wuraola Ogunwusi Over Her Speech On Gender Equality by cococandy(f): 8:19pm On Jun 18, 2016 |
That's the big problem. Educated ignorants. Like anyone cares who wears the pants in their relationships. Tolatutu: one thing that is clear from the comments here is that the Nigerian educational system is very lacking if so called educated women and men don't even know what gender equality is about how do we then want to explain to the villagers.
Black people try and read and educate yourself before commenting on an issue. The Olori should have done that and she would have realized no one is talking about her marriage. |
Celebrities › Re: Uche Jombo Blasts Wuraola Ogunwusi Over Her Speech On Gender Equality by cococandy(f): 8:16pm On Jun 18, 2016 |
Very well said Uche. Very well said.
Those who want to be inferior to men can contuire to be. No one is stopping them. But they should keep their inferiority in their homes and not try to stop other people's quest for equality. It's not by force. No one will come to into your life and force you to accept the same respect a man commands. If you want to be beneath, that's good and fine.
Just leave those who want otherwise alone. |
