You can, abi you no fit?
How about taking the lead?
Hehehehe lol see me see wahala, JW & AjanleKoko, are you guys afraid of death? Anyway I don't blame you, nobody wants to die and we wan go heaven (2Face Idibia). Same here brothers, my family needs me @ dis time of my life and i can't afford to die now. Another aspect many of us have to be conscious of is the fact that there are many traitors among the so called Nigerian youths, most especially among the Yorubas, inherited from the popular group known as Afenifere (The ancestral Yoruba Leaders). You can crucify me for saying this but I am a Yoruba by birth and not by nature because i know what am saying. Nigerian youths can do anything to make money not minding the consequences. I could still remember my days at the University Student Union Government, where agreement would be reached on certain matter and some members will go behind others to leak our plan for the purpose of cash thereby putting others in dilemma. Besides, that was university days, but not any failed plan against the Government or top Government officials can earn you your life. Don't forget, our mind-set is corrupted already and don't rely on the honesty and integrity of anybody most especially Nigerian youths (not all anyway). In addition, the protests carried out in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, were carried out by determined, courageous and honest pple who share the same dreams and ambitions for the betterment of their lives and generations to come and not hypocrites and traitors type of youths we have in Nigeria. Believe me or leave it.

There is no such youth in this county. All what they want is sleep, wake-up, go to their slave site called "work" earn chicken change, eat and Be Intimate.

Nigerian youths (in which I am a part) are set of slow set of apes I have ever seen. Their leaders are their breaking cash in billions. They sit down and pray to God in Church/masalashi for miracle from God. If I were God, I would be pissed off with these useless youths. Wasted set of generation.

I posted on a thread last week on holding a similar protest to that one of occupied wall street and Egypt. Useless Nigerians were making jest of me. A lun.aatic monkey even told me, Nigeria is ok as it is, he want to enjoy his amala.

Poverty mentally programmed set of luns.
Only a fool or a criminal who feeds on embezzled public fund will say he's ok with the present situation in Nigeria. From the look of many things, it seems Nigeria is suffering from powerful curses beyond human comprehension because things are growing worst everyday.
No light, imagine PHCN official are going on strike
We have petroleum with non function refineries. We are the only OPEC member who buys petroleum products at high prices yet our leaders are planning to build refineries in another country
At the expense of our abandoned roads our leaders are flying in the air, am sure the next sosoliso await to crash their bones.
Despite regular strike action in our education system, many schools are increasing tuition fee session e.g Lagos State University
Imagine all these and we called ourselves the giant of Africa hmmmmm, na lie we are not, Nigeria is cursed. We experience set back in everything, in football now am sure any country can beat Nigeria, besides our players in foreign countries are performing woefully everyday. Mikel is killing Chelsea on a daily basis, Odewinge is out of glory in West Brom, Aiyegbeni is out of career if not Blackburn, others…sorry is their case.

you guys are given more power to these scammers, the fact still remain that even with all these information the bad eggs which are very many on this forum will still scam people, because you are not going to be there when the two parties will be transacting their business, so it is better not to ask anybody to bring any information for you to post them as confirm agent like Inspired did on Auto Section, please i am not trying to say it is a bad idea but Travel Section is far different from Auto section, you can buy a bad car with fault from a car dealer but if you are careful like checking the Car History and also getting a good Electrician with a Good Diagnosing Machine to check the car you will save yourself, but a travel agent is different they can go and collect photocopies of visa pages from people and claim that he his the one that got the visa for the person, they are so many things involves that i cannot start to explain so my suggestion is for anybody who want to travel and feel he has seen a traveling agent either via nl or other means should properly investigate and one thing i always do i will ask the agent to show me his own passport so i can see if he has traveling experience but most of all prayer.
I don't think you get it, it has nothing to do with visa, and any visa biz transaction on this basis is at the owner's peril. If I am right, it’s aimed to bring professional touches to travel section by partner with some honest professionals in the field of travel and tourism. Besides not all in the field of travel and tourism are scammers, the success of this section so far had been on the verge of individual experiences and by doing this; it will bring professionalism to travel section if accomplished as planned.

You can start it and others will join you, one man started it in Tunisia by setting himself on fire then millions followed. That was how Arab awaken started, so get on with it.
Oh boi, you are very wicked oooh lol, if you advice anyone to do that in Nigeria, mind you, if such died in the process, you will only die for nothing, nobody will mourn such for an hour. Don't forget many are engaged with hypocrisy work (working for politicians) to earn a living and don't be surprised to see your brother plotting your downfall because of money. Virtually all Nigerian youths, our minds are so corrupt to the extent that many don't mind doing anything to make money, ride first class cars and live an exorbitant life and that is why you see desperate Nigerian youth trekking across sahara desert to Europe, while some are selling their kidney for money in Malaysia and so on. As far as 9ja is concerned, that is a suicide mission, how will you go to that extent when you are not one of the recent Boko harams? God have mercy!

You made very good points and I like your objective approach. However, with brainstorming and analyzing, we can reach a consensus and collectively organize online just like the North Africans did. How do you expect us to co-ordinate if we don't decipher every aspect of the system as like minded group online on social networks or forums. The North African revolutions have been in the making for years. They congregated and organized online before mobilizing.

We are dealing with very powerful and intelligent status quo. If we are not informed and up to date with their bad policies, We will be floating without substance. We also need to raise awareness amongst our peers who don't understand the real issues instead of complaining and labeling them.

Does an average Nigerian know the longterm negative effects of our foreign reserve depletion or the printing of worthless money to prop up reckless banks who gamble with our deposits?

These political thieves are now stealing us massively with a stroke of pen or click of a mouse. We have to make the average Nigerian socially aware; that inturn stoke courage and action.

Amongst foreign people that I have come across including many Africans, It is quite unfortunate that we Nigerians are the most socially unaware group. Instead we pride ourselves in living in distant lands by running away from our problems. No matter how far you run to; your Mother's land is your ancestral land and your host will always remind you of that.

Bro, whenever you are ready for action. I am always available for it cos the madness by these men who have hijacked us for decades can't go on forever. My children and grandchildren deserve a better future in this potentially blessed country.
Look my brother, don't be deceived, the problem of Nigeria is not a problem of today, Nigeria is suffering from long term damage which bring about proportional increase of socio-political upheavals of today’s torment and anguish. Meanwhile, it also require years of accelerated rectification to bring back the lost glory. On the other hand nobody is willing to be part of this remedy, they can only strategize for others to act, many prefer to run away while some engaged in whatever means to sustain livelihood. What we need in Nigeria is a formidable team made of honest, intelligent, brave and courageous Nigerians who can sacrifice the lives and enjoyment to heal the denatured nation of Nigeria and not the run-away types who seek solace in another man's land leaving behind their problems despite the emotional bruises and disgrace inflicted on them in their quest for good life and already made joy.

You dey gbam yourself?
Sorry is your case

They sit behind a computer and they complain. Point fingers and ventilate blame without thinking of something positive to redeem Nigeria as a whole.

Who gave you the impetus to classify Nigerians as either a disgrace or a pride. Are you trying to sound intelligent?  It is obvious that you are not.  It is my understanding that those who try to identify the wrongs in others are actually culprits and hypocrites themselves.  Sure, some Nigerians are engaged in illicit dealings that have damaged our image immensely. But people like you bow down to these 'big boys' in real life as sycophants. I challenge you that you don't have the guts to confront them about spoiling our image in person.  You come to a forum to lament and posit yourself as a saint.

If you think you have got something tangible to offer and contribute, come to the politics section; where real men talk in depth about savaging Nigeria and moving her forward. Show yourself in the technology, programming, economy, literature, education sections; where real Nigerians brainstorm and analyze Real issues.

In all honesty, what do you do for a living?  If you are so passionate and dedicated to stopping these guys who tarnish Nigeria's image. Why not create a website or blog dedicated to this cause? So that you can address it in depth and offer solutions. You could be appointed head of Task force for Nigerians in Diaspora; working in hand with Interpol to bring them to order. Thereby redeeming our image in the process.

Quit the talking, complaining and blaming. Start some action or show us what you have started or done.

He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone.
The problem of Nigeria is not all about brainstorming and analyzing, it's all about actions. I am tired of reading and listening to critics and analysts both online and on the screen. What we need in Nigeria is a team of vibrant Nigerians who carries the mind of fire, who possesses the heart of a lion, who has the power and the strength of a horse and not the timid set of pple who hide behind their computer home and abroad and talk rubbish. Let me say this emphatically, many Nigerians are so fearful and that is why things will never change. At the same time 70% of the Nigerians in Diaspora can never do anything to revive the glory of our nation rather than proving holier than thou whereas many have their impact in destroying the glory of Nigeria. You can say whatever you like, I don't care but don't you ever think you can right the wrongs of Nigeria with sweet talks and brilliant articles from afar, it will not work. Besides, you alone cannot do it, it requires a conglomeration efforts and actions with God's backing.

I know her very well, in fact she's a wonderful friend with good heart and intention toward Nigerians home and abroad. Sometimes ago, more than a year now, she came here looking for someone to share her two bedroom apartment with, could you believe some funny Nigerian guys here in Nigeria pretended to be abroad while trying to set her up in order to scam her. On this note, a wonderful friend like the poster needs to be careful most especially in her quest for socializing with Nigerians home and abroad. The few bad ones have polluted the mind of others. ^^^ I think that the people who siena had in mind when he brought up this suggestion were the "visa agents" or whatever name that they go by. I am sure that Siena himself will be in a better position to clarify when he comes on line.

Taking a quick look at the general theme of posts on this section, there are more people advertising their visa business than travel agents advertising ticket fares & hotel prices.
Pls try to read all over again, siena never suggested Visa Agents

2all

By my own understand, Travel Agency is a corporate body or a travel retail business body that sells travel related products and services to customers on behalf of suppliers such as airlines, car rentals, cruise lines, hotels, railways, sightseeing tours, package holidays(Tour Operators) and give professional advice to travellers. They serve as agent btw travellers and the listed bodies above and provide services to the pple at a discount rate popularly known as commissions. Every day i see many questions on NL travel section unattended to most esp. about Tour sites, low cost airline, car rentals, hotels, travel insurance etc If some of these honest and legitimate Travel Agencies are given the opportunity to operate here, I am sure many will benefit from their services either with a fee charge or free of charge.

On the other hand, every other visa related issues will be handled by numerous members here who know the process and experienced members who at one time or the other went through such process.

Ticketing, hotel booking and tour packages excluding visa are not the main problem of Nigerians who want migrate to other countries and most adverts on this travel section is all about visa.
Again, I don’t think many legitimate travel agencies (i.e. for ticketing, & hotel booking) in Nigeria care more about advertising their services here in this forum. I don’t genuine Travellers may have any problem buying their genuine ticket from either the airline or from the Travel agencies.
Therefore, if this is only meant for “travel agencies” and not “Visa agent” then I still see nothing much important about this.
As far as I am concerned and by my understanding of what Siena has introduced, it has notin to do with anything called Visa Agent. Beside, i wonder why would you seek the assistance of Visa Agent in securing your visa? I will never be in support of any partnership with any Visa Agent on this section. By doing this, we are merely encouraging more scamming activities.

I don’t think that the people more at risk in this section of the forum are Mr and Mrs Bloggs who already have a 5 year visiting visa and are only looking for a BA ticket to London Heathrow and a room in the Holiday inn.

Many of the airlines if not all, have ticketing offices at the airports and I believe that you can purchase tickets direct from them if you choose not to go through a travel agency.

The people more at risk of being conned on this site are disillusioned Nigerians who want to leave the shores by all means but don’t have the necessary travelling documents. The big money for agents doesn’t come from ticketing but from visa processing.
Booking flight ticket is not only what you can gain from a honest and legitimate Travel Agency, besides why dying of travelling when you don't have the required documents. I believe real travellers with genuine documents don't patronage Visa agents, it's when you don't have authentic documents for visa processing that many scam victims of nowadays go from one visa agent to the other and at the end of the day the so called visa agent will give you wrong advice and fake document that will get you banned from your dreamland. On this note, partnership with Visa Agents on this section is not allowed. Personally, i will never be a part of it, take it or leave it.

The truth of the matter is that in reality an unscrupulous agent can supply all the things you ask for and more, but if he/she is going to do a runner with someones money, they will and I dont think that anyone here is going to go searching the whole streets of Lagos armed with a picture and an email address for looking for a runaway agent.

I think that this section will be better and the safety of users are better safeguarded if the mods set up a panel of say 10 people who know the ins and outs of the visa process for different countries/situations and they answer questions etc that users may have. That way users are informed and they know what is and what isn't feasible and if an unscrupulous agent offers them heaven and earth at least they can make an informed decision on whether to part with any hard earned money or not.
I don't think you get it, we are not talking about Visa Agents here, and by what i have in mind am sure honest pple with legitimate travel agency business will benefit enormously. Besides, every visa assistance will be dealt with here on this section black and white. At the same time, i am sure many pple will be happy at the end of the verification process to deal with many Travel Agents on matters regarding the following: flight booking and ticketing, travel consultation, hotel reservation and booking and many more except Visa Issuance which am sure no Travel Agent can guarantee you. Pls check previous posts for clarification.

The moderators on this section are doing well. it is not just to drive them away from travel section but from Nairaland if possible.
In that case, mod of such section should be compelled to delete such visa advert related posts
