God bless you immensely my brother for this enlightenment. You see my people, everybody dey try protect their own garri, which is why some thought the actions on the part of Nigerian government is poor.Try and get the correct info, the senator involved was allowed entry even after being alleged to have the same fake paper and the worst of all, same senator felt unconcerned and ignored the rest of the pple involved. The question has no answer because it is based on the immoral, illegal and perverse existence of your institution and the willingness of those who own/operate and participate in its activities. It cannot be compared with any Universities in Cyprus or the rest of the world. You have to go back to the dark ages of apartheid in South Africa to find a comparable, namely an educational institution created and operated on the basis of supporting a bigoted and racist regime dedicated to ethnic and religious cleansing/division.Sincerely, i don't know where you are coming from but i am highly interested in where you are going with this comment. With respect I am familiar how accreditation works and how it can be manipulated and obtained. Bearing in mind your boasting, why is it that you refer to a 'south Cyprus' when there is no such legal entity. There is a Republic of Cyprus, created in 1960 whose sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitution was and should be guaranteed by Turkey. Clearly your accreditation does not extend to law, politics and geography. If you are so quick to spread Turkish propaganda in this forum I dread to think what it would be like at the campus.I wonder if I actually understand the basis for your argument, looking at your responses so far on this thread, they add no value rather than derailing the focus and the purpose of the thread. Either North Cyprus is a country or not, I don't think that is main purpose of this thread, your argument is derailing the thread pls try and apply some sense of maturity. Gbammm over and out |
As many as possible who have access to listen to Radio should pls tune to Naija Info FM 99.3 This issue is up on air. |

@talk2tosep, I think that is a great development for SA government, it was revealed some months ago that there is no more asylum for Nigerians and some other countries and I think it's a very good development because I wonder why Nigerians will travel all the way to SA, overstay their visit and trying to seek asylum, for what and on what basis? Boko haram or what? If many are deported through this medium, I think it will reduce the rate at which Nigerians fleeing to SA. Gbamm over and out |
my friends pls can any one here tell me what they mean by power of attorney?A power of attorney (POA) or letter of attorney is a written authorization to represent or act on another's behalf in private affairs, business, or some other legal matter. POWER OF ATTORNEY is used in respect of an application for (A) IMMIGRATION PERMIT(S) OR TEMPORARY RESIDENCE IN THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA, OR FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE VALIDITY THEREOF (B) SEAMEN VISA (C) BUSINESS VISA (D) STUDY PERMIT and others [See Sections 25 and 26 of the Aliens Control Act, 1991 (Act No. 96 of 1991): Regulation 13A] Currently, the Immigration Act, 2002 (Act No 13 of 2002) aims to facilitate and simplify the application and issuing process of permits, as well as regulate immigrants by making sure they adhere to certain criteria. As a result of this, Home Affairs, decided to give legal right to various immigration practitioners who are registered with the Department to assist immigrants in putting together their applications for the specific type of permit that they need. In making use of such a practitioner, you are essentially giving them power of attorney to act on your behalf in South Africa, so make sure that they are legitimate and that they are genuinely registered with the Department. Power of Attorney form is usually completed by the applicant, with a revenue stamp pasted on it Generally it's not applicable to Tourist/Family visit visa. Gbammm over and out |
@Buddywalker, Use a paid hotel booking to get your visa in place of letter of invitation. @all, power of attorney form/letter is not applicable to tourist/family visa. Below are the comprehensive requirements for tourist/family visa: Tourist/ Family Visit • Passport, (valid for at least 30 days after the intended stay/departure date from South Africa; at least three unused/blank visa pages). • Fully completed visa application form-(BI84E) – must be completed in black ink and block letters. • Application form-BI84E must be signed by the applicant and signature should match the signature on the passport. • proof of financial means in the form of a 3 months bank statement, or salary advise; • proof of hotel booking, (verifiable) or letter of invitation stating the following: physical address, as well as contact details of the host and host’s name and signature; • certified copy of the host’s ID or copy of residential status, (permanent residence permit or work permit) • Reference/introduction letter from your employer. Letter must have the physical address, as well as contact details of authorised signature’s name, designation and signature; • Vaccination certificate, (yellow fever) If applicant will travel through and stay in yellow fever belt. • Confirmed return/onward air ticket. • two recent (not older than 30 days/1 month) passport size, ( 45mm x 45mm of the picture)photographs • marriage certificate, • Notarised letter of consent for minors, and a full birth certificate. • Copies of passport bio-data pages (photo page and address/parents page if applicable. With all these, bliv me you are good to go. Gbammm over and out |
@faakay, I thought your intention was to guide the op not knowing you already have a plan. Gbammm over and out |
Unfortunately, I am typing with a phone so I can't quote you guys. First and formost, flight booking is one the visa requirements by South African Embassy in Nigeria so Faakay and TayoFTC is right and Vicjustice is wrong but no airline will allow you to make full booking without payment but you can make seat reservation without payment which is allowed by the South African embassy and you make payment later when your visa is issued, so Vicjustice is right with his defence that no airline will grant full booking without payment. On the other hand, Faakay and TayoFTC are also wrong by using the word "booking" rather than seat reservation. On the other hand, hotel booking is also one of the most important document required before visa is issued and it must be a paid hotel with evidence and this can also be done online. Most importantly, pls avoid insults while replying to post because we are all here to learn and educate one another. Gbammm over and out |
I still think it is unfair to require payment for such, some people paid huge amount of money and they have only had their National Passports for as little as six months before they were warned to pay another huge fee for the E-Passport even while their National Passport had some 4.5 years left.I believe you know Nigerians so well and many atrocities committed with the old passport so i don't expect much deliberation on this topic. The FG finds the need for the implementation of the E-passport, it was introduced and to certain extent, it reduces crime of impersonation and other related offenses. Even if Nigerians with valid old "P" have to pay to get for the new "P", i still feel Nigerians should be happy that such was introduced. Considering the secure usage of the new "P" with finger print and other secured measures i think feel it right for the FG to stop the uses of the old "P" world wide. The introduction of the new "P" to me is still one of the best things Nigerian Government has done so far to help reduce rate of impersonation. It was done to protect your right as a Nigerian in term of alteration made to stolen passport by fraudsters, nothing more beneficial can be done than implementing the new "p" and stopping the use of the old "p" Gbammm over and out |
@wip4 I just applied for Msc in comp sc in MUN but unfortunately I realised that they were demanding a GRE.I do not want to put all my eggs in one basket because I am not sure that they might eventually take me.Please can u refer me to some other schools even if its technical programs in Networking or Graphic designs? I feel its better I apply to other schools in Canada or does anyone have any idea of where I could also apply to? I am a 2-2 stud with a Masters degree also. What exactly do you want, low tuition graduate school for int'l students or schools with quality education? At the same time, Considering your first master degree and if your first degree CGPA is around 3.4 you can try and apply for your computer science at Acadia University in Nova Scotia Province, their annual tuition fee is around $9,376.00 but you could be allowed to pay in two installment payment depending on your entry period. Better still, contact the school directly through an email and find out your chances of being admitted. Note, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is one the requirements into their graduate programme, so pls be informed. Check for more details through this link; http://gradstudies.acadiau.ca/admission.html On the other hand, looking at MUN graduate application procedures, strong emphasis is not placed on TOEFL and GRE most especially for applicants with English as mode of instruction, so you still stand a chance considering your first master degree. GRE is not included as a strong requirement in the school website; http://www.mun.ca/become/graduate/programs/computational.php but code for TOEFL and GRE was only shown in the departmental website; http://www.mun.ca/science/graduate/interdisciplinary/cmsc/requirements.php for applicants who may wish to send TOEFL or GRE score to them in support of his/her application. I will be glad to be part of this dream, setting up a company like this has been my dream but according to this OP, i need more than enough training, skills and acquittance to be the very best. I don't wanna start like the current faces in the Nigerian Movie Industry so that i won't end like many of them. I am an editor, I was once a director in my school, I can also handle the camera perfectly but i still feel i need international exposure to equip myself to meet international standard. I will sincerely love to be a part of this. |
Hmmm! i think jennykadry is 100% right. So, no need for my advice anymore. I wish you heavenly protection and best of luck in all your endeavours. Gbammmm over and out |

I must confess, today's episode is one of the best episodes I have ever watched on rafael. I am glad to see rafaela and jose maria togather again. Thanks to anhell for his maturity and selfless efforts in bring jose maria and rafaela back together, he sacrificed so much and gained nothing. It's hard nowadays to see any guy doing what anhell did to make rafaela happy.Hmmm I love the movie rafaela. |
Gud day writers, i love writing, i write stories a lot but don't knw how to develop it to become people's need nd dnt ve enough idea of writing, because of my academic background. I am a science student in high school nd now studyin mech eng. in higher institution. I love writing, nd wud love to become a writer but don't know how to go about. So, any advice may be i can still make as a writer or not nd which aspect of writing. TanxWriting has different facets, believe me anybody can write and anybody can flow with words, grammars and ideas but it takes quality choice of word (diction), quality sequence of arrangement of events (plot), quality inductive and deductive reasoning and many quality terms to be prolific in writing. Sometimes, academic background is not the basis for writing but many scholars from the faculty of arts tend to be prolific in writing than their counterparts from other disciplines. As earlier advised, attend creative writing workshops, study some basic literary writing concepts, be familiar with various literary terms and their appropriate usage, study previous works, styles of prolific writers and authors on the aspect of writing you wish to write on, then work hard to justify your work. I hope this helps? |
Share your surviving tips here. . . -How did you get your part-time job . . -Cheap student accommodation . . -How do you call home cheaply . . Ask your questions here and if there is something missing on the list then suggest and it will be added. @JW, when i saw your previous threads on the surviving tips of Nigerian students in the UK and Canada, I decided to come up with this, I think it will be of great benefit to many Nigerian students who wish to study in the following countries mentioned above. Gbammmm over and out |
Good info flying here!I am not sure but i guess you can contact any school of your choice directly, they are in better position to give you first class info but i think some schools in UK do accept HND graduates with good grade. Gbammmmm over and out |
Hi wip7, i've visited memorial university site www.mun.ca and i think the school is cool (tuition fee wise). I sent an email to them concerning MA Economics and i think i met their requirements according to their grading system (cgpa: 3.67 bsc. Economics). I want to know if u have an idea if they accept installmental payment on the tuition fee? Thanks! As for Graduate Studies @mun, their graduate tuition payment system is per semester payment and that is one the advantages why many Nigerian students prefer mun to other schools in Canada because it is affordable and easy to cope in terms of tuition payment.
