Now, some people condemn him because he clearly states that he doesn't offer or promise any job to clients, this to me suggests that his targets are recreational traveller and tourists, not those would-be immigrants, this is not difficult to understand as not every traveller is migrating

I am the only person talking about job as regards this issue and i am not condemning him. What I only said was of the fact that the programme in question is not encouraging as I will never support it. When all you need is the applicant passport and other vita documents then why charging so much money. All these things you typed here are mere claptrap and nothing more. Are you the embassy that will grant them visa? I guess you have nothing to offer, you are just working for somebody on commision basis. Mind you, NL is closed to your advert. Maybe you no know say the least mumu for here don upgrade weller, with little advice am sure they are better than you in visa procurement.

Well, i thought this thread was a handy grenade, but how it turned into a nuclear bomb simply shows how scam conscious Nigerians are, and therefore, Nigerian can hardly trust any Nigerian establishment.

It is hard to trust pple in this country, besides, most of the comments you see here were as result of hatred NL members have for one another. Gradually pple have continued to attack one another and deviate from the cause of the upheavals.

@ 1-WORLD, i can see that you came in to make a brief contribution and therefore, i think maybe you need to prove yourself before the doubters: i hope your username is not under a banned or something for reason of spamming; If so, i'll encourage you to create a new account to make your contribution pending the release of the original username.

Hmmmmm finally am here after being banned all because I was trying to post something useful on this thread, anyway, thank God am back. For somedays now I hv been tryin to post something here but reverse was the case, nevertheless I still have my words and I will give base on my observation and opinion.

@Justwise & anybody who can answer this; Is it every companies {small or big} registered in every advanced countries such as Canada, UK, US etc that can be traced through google map? Nevertheless, justwise has made a very good findings but nt until the address issue is cleared, I tell you I don't hv any evidence to call him a scammer or somebody running a bugus traveling service.

@Vicjustice & 1 WORLD, I don't like when you pple are using the collective words 'Justwise & co' I know some do nt really have anything to say but to support other comments but it's unfair to generalise. From my own piont of view, I am nt 70% in support of this Learn Live and Stay in Canada and Paraguay with pragramme fee of $2,500, $3,500 and $4,500 respectively which include months of dynamic Spanish lessons, soccer training, home stay, insurance coverage, feeding, visa fee and medical test in Nigeria. I am nt an enemy of progress and I am nt against this because of the amount attached to it but my reasoning is far beyond that. If the sole aim of this programme is chanelled mainly on learning spanish and soccer training then I think it doesn't worth its value and risk. From the few questions I asked 1WORLD sometimes ago abt his company capacity to help applicant in getting a job after the expiration of their programmes, his response to my question was nt encouraging claiming he did not promise anybody a job which simply means pple will be left to face their fate after paying so much to travel to south America to learn spanish and soccer training.

It will be too bad for anyone to travel all the way from Nigeria to Paraguay and have nothing to do or find it hard to make a living after spending so much. Would these pple not turn otherwise in their quest for survival without work thereby polluting the image of Nigerians abroad?

I think it doesn't worth it except if the company will assist applicant to get a job when through with their programmes. Pple are just attacking one another without paying key interest on the benefits and likely consequences of this programme. I am nt trying to discourage the poster or any interested applicant but all these have to be examined. I hv heard diff stories of pple assisted to travel by an agent for a programme like this and were all left to survive in the hard in another man's land which they know nothing of. To me sometimes it's nt all abt the authencity of a company but how they are able to assist pple to the fullest. In a nutshell, the programme must be worthwhile considering the risk and cost because the lowest cost for this programme will cost nothing less than 700k with ticket.

I just want u all to examine this and I will appreciate 1WORLD to come out and clearify the prob sorrounding the address issue.

pls don't turn urself to a slave, you don't even think you could be given a fake visa and get urself arrest.

I never shy away from the fact that i adviced him not to include his personal bank account, i never knew of anybody who is going on official duty that has to include his or her personal bank statement for visa application. I think few of u are turning this into slag-off match, even with all genuine documents and meeting all requirements, the ECO will sometimes still refuse an applicant a visa and a reason will be given for that.

I never claim to know it all here, i have assisted alot of pple here and off-nairaland to secure visa, this case is an unfortunate one and i can sense that it will be used as a springboard to have a go at me.

Reply to statement with red colour: If you check my comment very well, i only said we should try to do more research b4 giving anything out here as an advice because most pple here have their integrity to protect including you as seekers of advice to some extent don't doubt some pple here. VISA DENIED! they said,you have stated dat your trip to uk is sponsored by your employer,hwever,i must take into account your personal and economic circumstance in naija wen coming to my decision, u have failed to provide any evidence of your finances, so guys u must provide your bank statement and not fake ones o! It is beta to be denied than banned.

Ohhhhhhhh! Am really sorry abt you being denied but it's nt the end of life anyway you can still re-apply but make sure you get every required documents when next you will put in another application. I am very sure of something, God will make a way as long as He can make water to spring forth in the desert.

Your bank statement is not needed, all documents should come from your company signed and stamped.

Don't forget to send details of your business trip to the UK, e.g. letter from the company in the UK.

His personal account got nothing to do with this, his company is sending him to the UK, so the company foot the bills and will give him all supporting documents.

I understand the fact that we all here to help one another but let's always put into consideration that things can change anytime most esp anything that has to do with UK visa stuff. I am not try to blame anybody for ceejay80s' diappointment, even if he added his personal bank statement he could still be denied (God forbid) but let's do more research on comment and advice we give to innocent pple here. @ceejay : first of all you need your personal statement. I one time processed a uk visa for a client of mine saying the company was going to foot the bill , so the company"S statement and coy registration docs were added to the app, and guess what, it took 3 days and we got a txt back saying it was ready for collection. when we got there, picked up d passport and bam the application got denied. Now on d letter it says that, you claim to work for this company and the company will foot your bill but still you have not provided a bank statement to show where your salary is been paid in to, we know nigerians can make up documents such as letter heads. so bruv get your statement its very important, even its low, let me know and i will tell u wat to do, you are not doing anytin dodgy i will tell you how to go about it.

Dude he still needs to provide his account, if he works for the company, he needs to provide his too,

I am new on nairaland and this will be my first post Smiley.Little about myself; i am a Nigerian,21 years old and presently undergoing a training in UK and in few months time,i will fully qualify as a Deck Officer.I have already secured an employment with a shipping company where am supposed to be doing 4 months on sea and 2 months off rotation.Salary is about 31,800 Pounds which translates to 2650 Pounds monthly (tax free).

As a Nigerian and at the same time as a person in the shipping industry in Nigeria, I will advise you to consider places where your friends are considering. I work with a shipping company in Nigeria and I know much about working onboard vessels trading the coast of Africa. If you are coming to Nigeria to work onboard a foreign vessel, yes I will advise you to come over here but if you are coming down to naija to work onboard Nigeria vessels then I can bet with you that you will regret coming back to naija. Nigerian vessels are worst than you can ever imagine. Your safety is not guaranteed. There is loss of cargo onboard Nigeria vessels every now and then, even if you are not involved, you will be implicated by other crew onboard. There are difference cases in Nigeria court today which has to do with loss of cargo btw cargo owner, ship owner, agent service provider and crew onboard which even involve NIMASA itself.

Considering salary, the first shipping company I worked with which serve as ship owner is Fleet Coordinators Limited (www.fleetcoordinatorsltd.com) and I know roughly how much crew members onboard are being paid. Your position onboard will determine your salary: MASTER, CHIEF OFFICER, 2ND OFFICER, 3RD OFFICER, CHIEF ENGINEER, 2ND ENGINEER, 3RD ENGINEER, 4TH ENGINEER, CHIEF ELECTRICIAN, BOSUN, PUMPMAN, CHIEF COOK, WELDER, AB, OILER etc. If you fall btw Master and Chief officer onboard a foreign vessels trading the coast of Africa then you can earn that amount or a bit above it but anything below chief officer onboard both foreign and Nigeria vessels forget it, you can't earn up to that except you get a job with Government company like NNPC or some company like Total Nig Plc, Sahara Energy, NLNG etc and then you will have to work in the office maybe as superintendent  or chief Engineer.

Anything aside this, my brother don't even think of coming back here. As an onboard officer, since you are not gonna work a full year onboard vessel offshore then you can still be close to your pple in naija. You will see your pple whenever you sign off and disembarked after completion of your work during onboard in btw 4month interval.

That is just the truth.

I have seen pple resuming late due to one reason or the other so i don't think it's a compulsory tin.

for example assuming your school is resuming june 11,

considering your resumption date, it look somehow because it's almost late but let me give d poster this funny advice, "Go ahead and submit you application and let's see who is right or wrong" I pray God will make a way IJN, have faith and pray towards it.

Too bad, the countries you listed above are the only countries you are 80% guaranteed on getting a job abroad. Other contries abroad forget it. Only if you are lucky u can get in other countries. Your guarantee on getting a job in other countries is 20%. That's the truth.

All u need is to keep that money for 28days in your account b4 printing the statement. 6months thing is not necessary.

@all : Been going thru all d post. But i have a question to ask, so i need someone on travel section to give me an answer. Now when someone puts up a post here abt assisting someone to get a visa for fee does that mean the person is out to scam someone, cos if getting a visa for someone is a crime, i think there wld be no travel agencies in Nigeria that is duly registered at CAC. Why I do ask is because been to the Uk several times and other European countries and they do have travel agencies too, assisting people to get their passports and visas too , now my question is are they out to scam ppl too ? I been to Atlanta and they do have travel agencies there too who assist clients to get visas to their destination, are they out to scam ppl. I am just confused cos since i got on nairaland on the this travel section when i see someone put up a post that they cld get this visa for someone the next post i see is SCAM, THIEF, all sorts of names just to rubbish the person. Even at Ghana they have travel agencies and they assist ppl to get visas and charge so how come they are not also call scammers. pls i need reasonable answers, am not out here to diss nobody, just need answers. I agree with Justwise that some folks here are out to steal from ppl but lets ask ourselves is it everybody that is out to do that. As per suxes2005 issue on this Canada thing i have no comment. If we want to be honest with ourselves majority of the Nigerians who are out in Canada neva got into that country with a valid visa, most of them made it to Canada through one illegal means or the other, some with tampered passports cos i know bunch of ppl who used tampered British passports to leave the uk to Canada, some from south America but all i want to knw right now does it mean anybody that puts up a post abt visa processing and charges a fee is a scam. pls respond. For the record i don"t support suicide missions, many have lost their lives or ended up in jail but that's the life they choose cos they know d consequences before embarking on that journey.

There are travel agencies everywhere in d world but d situation with Nigerian travel agencies is exceptional because most of these agencies are out there to feed on pple's blood with exorbitant charges in the name of getting documents for pple whereas many of them paraded embassies with fake papers. As for Nairaland travel agents, most of these agents who come here with diff advt do nt run legal travel agency. Some are here to scam pple, some have relatives in one embassy or the other while some have links to one travel agency to bring pple on the basis of commission. The situation in Nigeria is pervasive and so everybody wants to get rich through any mean. I think the issue with Nairaland travel agents needs to be addressed.

As for suxes, ur research is perilous and suicidal and i wouldn't advice even my worst enemy to go thru it. Many have lost their live in d process why many are still in jail up till today. I have spoken with u unknowingly on diff occasion abt travelling issues, even if ur intentions are nt to scam maybe d 1.4m charged is nt for u only, but u suppose to know dt merely introducing dt to pple as a Christian, you are putting pple's lives in jeopardy. If it's so easy as u hv said, why don't u first embark on it?

As for Justwise & Yemming, you guys have done a very good job, i will do the same if i were in ur shoe. Kudos!

Above all, i so much bliv in repentance and i love pple who accept mistake and turn a new leaf. I have fought a lot of pple here and some later change their ways. As for suxes, i know u too want to go to Canada to start a new life on one reason or the other, bt let ur ways be pure and clean. Go to http://www.hi.is/en you will get whatever info you want there but i think the application deadline was sometimes around 1st of Feb, 2011 which means you will have to wait to Jan 2012 to put in your application for 2012/13 academic session. I think they are right with the 60k annual registration fee only and any other fee will be personal expenses like feeding, accommodation etc.
