Its not as common as billionaire entrepreneurs and founders, but it can happen.

The current CEO of Apple Tim Cook was not a founder/owner like Steve Jobs. He rose through the ranks and became CEO. With his executive pay (which includes bonuses and stock options), he is now worth $1.8bln. No be career be that? Afterall as CEO he is still an employee.

There was a time I studied in the UK. One day, I got into a car with some friends, (church things), and we went on the expressway. I noticed all the painted lines, with very thick paint. And I asked them, how come their own paint is still on their road? Our own Nigerian paint don clean comot tey-tey. They just replied that road lines are there, because it's regularly painted there.
Though this image is google maps, it is exactly as I saw it back then.

Its also because in Nigeria in most cases we use normal paint. Whereas abroad they use thermo plastic paint that it hard and stays on the road for much longer. Its only JB and a few other bigger road construction companies that use the proper thing.

However, when it eventually fades off, they renew regularly. Also they drive in the lanes a lot more over there, so the tyres don't rub against it as much, compared to here where we drive anyhow. Our weather is harsher as well.

True that! I'd rather pay N500 toll to drive on a smooth, well marked, privately managed Lagos Ibadan expressway than drive on a pot hole riddled version managed by the FG. Whether it should be or not is another matter, but reality is that in Nigeria, what belongs to government belongs to nobody. The minute the road is completed, no body in the Ministry looks at it again until it falls apart and its time to award another contract.

If oil is the principal exchange commodity of the country, and the assumption is that the value of our currency is tied to the price per barrel of oil, how come the Naira plummets in value arbitrarily, and without explanation, all when the price of oil is high? We're still joking with our fiscal policy with the BDCs still around. Redesign notes, raid BDC offices... All will amount to nothing on the long run. When all is said and done, and the dust settles the hydra headed demon called the BDCs would again rear up their ugly head and wreak financial havoc. Jokers!

The reason Naira depreciated even during high oil prices was because of unparalleled crude oil theft, which caused a lot of shut downs. For an extended period in the last 3-6months, no single drop was exported from Forcados Terminal and Bonny terminal -2 or our biggest terminals. So of course the country was not earning jack from there, hence our oil production dropped to as low as 900l barrels per day. For a country that should be doing 1.6mln to 1.8mln per day. Calculate the loss of 700k barrels per day for the past 10months at an average of $105, then see how much foreign exchange the country was loosing.

This is the first time in my adult life that the currency has depreciated at t time of high oil prices. We normally suffer depreciation when there is a crash in crude oil prices.

After this, the next one we need is the line to go along the Lekki axis. Good enough the Lekki road is pretty straight from Oniru axis.

I think that one is called the green or yellow line in the LASG rail master plan. That will greatly help the traffic in that axis if implemented well.
