femisplash: Who's this daft ipob?.. I posted a screenshot of Tinubu sealing a multi million mega deal before becoming a senator in '92. He not only worked in oil sector but top Accounting firm as Deloitte and GTE, one of the biggest communication firms in the US. He is a shareholder in Apple & ManUnited as at 80s. Nobody in your generation could have afforded being a shareholder in such massive institutions then, now or ever. Go to Deloitte at Zenith Towers in VI and ask them how much they earn. If they earn so well, they wont be losing so many staff to japa runs. Same for PWc and KPMG. For your information i work for Shell, and I can tell you that even someone who works in an oil company today with a salary of say N2 -n3mln a month will struggle to buy a brand new Toyota Camry today of N35mln - as if there is nothing better to do with money than waste N35mln on a car that okada and danfo will scratch for you in a matter of weeks. America as a salary earner is a difficult place to even save, much less invest. Didn't he pay bills? Didn't he eat? Didn't he pay multitude of taxes and insurance in America? You people just don't think critically. Funny enough Tinubu has never said himself that he bought shares in Man U or Apple. Its only gist circulated on social media by his cohorts. The same Tinubu that today we are struggling to say whether he went to Chicago State university or University of Chicago. For years, no one including he himself has been able to put the record straight with EVIDENCE!, but we should believe he bought shares in Man U and Apple. Even if i bought 10000 shares Apple in 1980, I might have $2mln today (just N800mln). How does that equate to the billions upon billions ascribed to Tinubu. |

femisplash: Una too mumu. He resigned from a Multinational oil company before his adventure into politics in 1992. He had worked in several top US Accounting and Communication Companies prior. Tinubu as at the 80s has had shares in Apple Corporation and also a shareholder in Manchester United FC. Obi was still in pampers when Tinubu was sealing mega deals. Peter Obi had nothing going for him until he inherited his father's money. https://www.nairaland.com/7325439/throwback-inherited-170-million-parents Story. So what if he worked in Exxon Nigeria? There are thousands of people who work in the oil sector. You can be very comfortable, but not stupendously rich. We all saw Tinubu becoming mega rich after becoming lagos state governor, so isn't it clear how he became rich? Use your brain and stop saying nonsense |

COMPAQ: Really!!! Gosh the lack of sense of those in government baffles me! Is that they are smart and choose to be dumb for government sake? Or they are really dumb? A government that cannot pay its own workers is actually making a fuss about other people paying low wages. The same way a government that cannot provide security is going to Sierra Leone to lecture them about how to provide security |

Instead of you to talk up and promote the strength of the naira so that traders and users out there can gain confidence in it.It is to come and spew trash and make everybody's work to improve its strength including your job more difficult... Illiterate Nincompoop.[/color] Not sure any amount of parking up makes any difference. The whole world is very clear about the issues Nigeria is having with respect to dollar revenues, so I don't really think it really matters want finance minister says. Mumu BMC Standard of living was not my point! The point I made was that there is GLOBAL INFLATION at the moment, not only in Nigeria. And people are complaining everywhere. Simple! Learn to stay on point! You are type that they ask A in exam, you start writing answer in response to B that nobody asked you. |

That's why it's easy for politicians to jam una head while looting the country dry cos common Nigerian man lack sense of reasoning I tell you! The reasoning capacity of many Nigerians is very low. That's part of why we argue endlessly! |

CocoaOla: apc does not mean well for nigerian
Nigerians are now turned to rag slave in their own land. jalopy car cost 5m now cars are cheaper everywhere else except Nigeria. more inflations more poverties minimum wages remain 30k
standard of living zero
car sold for 800k a year ago now 4m welcome to the land of the dead's nothing works
government is behind this inflation sinking Nigerians into deep abject poverty In case your head has been buried in the sand for a while. Look up and read the news for a change. There is massive inflation going on pretty much everywhere in the world. A loaf of bread I bought in the US for 88 cents 6 months ago is now $1.35 |

nedekid: For real, I hear the cheapest car to clear now cost minimum 1.1m! I was with a friend last week at Sam's yard. Container loading point in rainham. He loaded 2 cars and was complaining of the clearing cost. That the cheapest car to clear was ₦1.1m upwards. That they are evaluated as 2013. So you buy a 2003 car but you pay 2013 duty! All he complained about was the increased cost of clearing and that if you have a car in Nigeria, keep it well cost the rising cost will make it difficult for Nigerians to buy. He said our leaders were all gov pikin that never struggled for money so are insensitive to the plight of ordinary Nigerians. Do you know we are poorer than people in the UK, yet we pay more for cars than they do? How do you pay more for cars than those in UK. |

COMPAQ: Assuming this story is true, this is a classic example of how military campaigns against these folks should be effected.
I have never understood how militants lay siege to an army barracks for 5 hours without air support arriving. A military jet should be able to fly from Lagos to Maiduguri in 5 hours. How much more from Abuja or Taraba.
If you outfit an attack chopper with better machine guns on either side and rockets up front, there is no way BH should be sacking military bases. It makes zero sense!!
Seems to me there is no synergy and combined operating procedure across different arms of the forces. Are you trying to tell me our military outposts have no sos button to press for help once bandits are sighted? No radio communications? Attack choppers should be on 24 immediate response readiness at our northern NAF bases.
