ytdivine:Lol! You keep getting it wrong. Removing Jonathan was a matter of morality. It was in Nigeria's collective best interest. Jonathan had nothing to offer, so you can't blame Atiku for anything. Only God knows what Nigeria would have turned into had Jonathan continued beyond 2015. What we are currently facing, especially in terms of rising prices and insecurity, are global in nature. Till tomorrow, the choice of Buhari in 2015 was a good one. Macron is seeking cuts in citizens' use of electricity by at least 10%. The situation is near worse in the UK, US, Germany etc. Canada is in a manhunt for a suspect in a mass stabbing incident. Just early this week, Timaya's Manager was shot dead in a car theft incident in the US. Buhari has undertaken and built more critical Infrastructures than PDP has in its entire 16 years in office. Whether in Aviation, Agriculture, Solid Minerals, Infrastructures etc, Buhari has done way better than all PDP presidents put together. |
Joevics:Akuko! Under her as Finance Minister & Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Nigeria borrowed to pay salaries. Abeg, make we hear word. |
dyera:Lol! Everybody na entrepreneur for Nigeria. Oga, these guys belong to the first cadre of business fronts for Nigeria's topmost corrupt politicians. |
Racoon:All na politics... After all, Tinubu worked to get Jonathan elected in 2011 before things went south between them. People must not remain enemies forever. People in PDP haven't treated Jonathan any better since his leaving office. |
Esseite:Almost all governors pay pensions and salaries. You think raising IGR through innovation is about overtaxing the masses? How come Lagos has more inflow of businesses and manpower than other states? Why aren't people leaving because of over taxation? Please, give me three of Obi's landmark projects and stop being diversionary. |
Millimann:Wike is actually holding himself. Wike is in a mess now. If he settles with Atiku, he will still be dealt with, if Atiku wins. Atiku and PDP will never forgive all of his tantrums, ridicule and insolence. They just want to see how much more they can use him. If he opts for APC or LP, there is not much he can get from them after the elections. Everyone just wants to see how much more of Wike they could use, in terms of his financial investment and votes gathering. Wike should realize this. Nobody send am. He will find this out sooner rather than later. Make e go ask Jonathan how e dey be. No party or person is bound by any agreement they make with you. Agreements can be reworked or outrightly jettisoned, especially when it is not contractual or constitutional in nature. Jonathan no make agreements with ASUU...how far? |
AllTheWayUp:Oga, North will support Tinubu. Mark my words! They will be advised accordingly. |
Esseite:Great! Give me the figures in each of the banks...and let's see where the bulk of the fund was kept. And can you talk to us about Obi's stake in Fidelity bank and any of the other banks, and what that constitutes in terms of the law? Also speak to us about how much proceeds came out of the savings and its deployment in favour of Anambra people; how much jobs Obi created in 8 years; how many industries were established under Obi; poverty index pre, during and post Obi; IGR growth pre, during and post Obi; public accounting for LGA funds etc. As for your comment on Obiano, you are obviously uninformed about governance in Anambra state. I am from Anambra state, and not a supporter of either Obi nor Obiano. I will name three signature Obiano projects in Anambra and let you name three of Obi's projects of similar stature in the state...so, the public can compare whose administration was below par as you described. 1. Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport. ( The first ever since the state's creation in 1991). 2. The International Convention Center, Awka. 3. The Awka City Stadium. |
Meyldon:Will you also say that Jonathan and the PDP initiated the insecurity that Buhari is dealing with today, since for every infrastructure Buhari puts on ground, you guys must claim that Jonathan initiated it? What do you mean by 'initiate'? Did Jonathan perform a groundbreaking or commenced the project to a certain level or just thought of it in his mind throughout his 6 years in office? See the nonsense you are talking....'it's basically an upgrade from the old one bla bla'....you call migration from a narrow gauge to a standard gauge track a minor thing? Even the train terminal building is far from a mere upgrade as you presented it; it's a total overhaul and deserves commendation from everyone. |
Praxis758:Na FG build am o. |
Hi Esseite:What is the bank's name again? And who are its owners? Oga, stop beating about the bush...no one other Obiano is in the best position to corroborate Obi's savings claim. I would rather go with Obiano, whom even Obi himself trusted so much, and helped become governor. Why is it on the savings issue that we should now stop trusting Obiano? Obi brought Obiano and asked Ndi Anambra to trust him....so, why should we now start mistrusting Obiano now? Is it because he said that Obi's savings claim was untrue? |
Esseite:What can you say about this? Who else is in the best position to provide proof to Obi's savings claim than Obiano? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/obiano-denies-obis-n75bn-handover/amp/&ved=2ahUKEwiWjKGWhYD6AhU0XvEDHbj2CtIQFnoECBEQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1QoxclJysFiv1GvsuaAwA5 |
Esseite:Pictures and videos please, including printed proof of the N75b saving.... |
hisgrace090:He is not. No one is. Except you are saying that he is God. Which clean man invests his state's money into his family business without shareholding in favour of the state in the business? Has he accounted for how he spent Anambra LGA funds for 8 years since he didn't conduct LGA elections? |
Zee0007:Yes o. Na their sniffing work, especially for US. Tell me how dem wan take stem gun violence? Which responsible government dey allow cocaine sniffers to dey carry arm up and down? These are the issues, yet US go leave their issues dey waka up and down for Ukraine, Taiwan, Libya, Nigeria etc...no be yeye people that? |
Blessedmercy8:You have a point. But why even rush into eating food bought by him? I think that women should insist they know the reason(s) for any hang-out or date with a guy, without actually eating or drinking anything. Just a serious one on one chat, in the first instance. Once, you get his intention sorted, then you may decide to take his offer of food or drink, if he still deems it necessary to make such offer after getting your position on his intention. This trend of being quick to 'rush into eating or drinking' is both demeaning and negatively mind-setting. Abi, most Nigerian ladies dey 'perpetual' fasting, which must be broken whenever a guys asks for a date? The matter taya me o. I no really like the way guys dey treat babes so cheaply. The thing dey vex me. But make the babes too help themselves na. Some no go even hold transport go for date....na so guys dey leave many of dem stranded, if the plan no go well. As per dashing a guy slap if he touches you....I no support that part o. Many mkpurummiri guys full the street o. Dem fit faint you with just one blow and damn the consequences. My simple advice is; get to know someone considerably before going out on a date with him sololy....and chill small before rushing to eat rice and chicken. Give yourself some respect...rice and chicken no dey finish for market. With less than N3k you fit prepare your own rice and chicken for house. So, what is the big deal? If he touches you inappropriately when you are eating 'his' rice, and ofcourse it should be in a public place, politely request that he stops. If he continues, quietly get up and leave. No dash slap o. Make I come dey go. |
Iliveforever:You should pity yourself instead for not knowing that Obi, like Tinubu, Atiku and Kwankwaso, has had his own fair share of leadership in Nigeria. If you can associate Atiku and Tinubu to Buhari because of their support for his presidency....you should, in the same way, associate Obi to Jonathan 'cos he played different economic advisory roles in the later's uninspiring administration. Obi was my state governor. He has nothing outstanding to show. By how much did IGR grow under him? By how much did poverty index improve under him? How many industries and factories were setup under him? In practical terms, no person aspiring to be Nigeria's president should talk rhetorics about what they want to do without talking about how they would substantially raise revenue. Without significant expansion of revenues, nothing can work. We will keep having poor infrastructures, poor funding of education and healthcare systems, poor workers remuneration & welfare, slow paced industrialization due to paucity of funds, low FDI attraction due to increasing insecurity, stemming from joblessness etc. That is why we must stop attacking the candidates' personalities and look at their past records, particularly as it relates to how they tackled insecurity and expanded revenues for infrastructural, job creation and economic growth. These are the issues that I expected you to throw up. For instance, Tinubu raised Lagos IGR from N600million to N4billion in one year, and by the time he was leaving office in 2007, Lagos lGR had grown to N14billion. Let's compare their achievements in different sectors, and not dehumanize people with unnecessary insults. No one is a saint, including you and me. |
Antyislam:Tinubu won't be rejected. Those that want him will vote for him. Same applies to other candidates. So, support you candidate and let others support theirs. |
God1000:Now, you are the one who is demonstrating real ineptness. Buhari isn't holding on to power. He is serving out his mandate, within the provisions of our constitution. Buhari has performed very well. You may not know this, but many enlightened and widely travelled Nigerians do. Go and check the states of our key airports; there are massive ongoing and completed railway projects, including the Port Harcourt - Maiduguri and Lagos-Ibadan Railways. There is the near-ready 2nd Niger Bridge / Road project; multibillion naira, first ever Bonny - Bodo Bridge project etc. We have seen real achievements in the resuscitation of over 30 fertilizer blending plants across the country and huge rice production of over 6 million metric tons, among others. Through the TEFfund, we have seen substantial infrastructural improvement in tertiary institutions, and in the healthcare sector, following the establishment of several new FMCs in the country. Economy and security are where the challenges are. These two will remains huge concerns for governments all around the world, for a long time. This isn't peculiar to Nigeria. Our military is doing a decent job with combatting banditry and insurgency, especially with the renewed onslaughts. We all know that the key factors fueling the high inflationary rates are Covid and the Russian - Ukraine war. We should pray war doesn't break out between China and Taiwan 'cos there would be far more consequences. This one no be Buhari matter o. Na Buhari cause the strike of ariports workers for Germany, resulting in the cancellation of almost all flights? Or the suggestion of possible fuel / energy rationing as a solution to the energy crisis in the UK? Or the decline in job creation and losses in the US? |
alsudan:Obi can't win the presidency. |
Jennifer663:You go wait taya o... because he won't become Nigeria's president. |
divinehand2003:Peter Obi is the worst of all the presidential candidates. Forget his cheap lies. Ask him how much of production Anambra did while he was governor. Obi is heavily into importation. If he was serious about Nigeria producing, he'd close deals with his partners to come establish here, and stop importation. For your information, I am from Anambra state. Obi wont be good for Nigeria. Do you see any SE governor supporting him? Not even one, including Charles Soludo. |
Johnrake69:Exactly. Very sad development. And this goes to underscore the raging sense of materialism among youths. The very unfortunate incident only portrayed a case of choosing a car over one's precious life. |
robinso01:If no be currency power difference with Nigeria and superior infrastructures. US no better pass us. The insecurity there na dead. One can die at any minute. Nowhere is really safe as you said. |
TheNiceGuy:Exactly. This is really sad. Something of this nature actually happened to me just three nights ago. Some burglars cut my living room net, believing I was in the bedroom sleeping. Fortunately, I was in the living and very much awake. All I did was quietly position at a safe place, and made a slight, uncomfortable noise and they fled. When I narrated the incident to a close friend, he was like, if he were the one, he'd come out with a cutlass and challenge them. I just tell am say make e no try am o. Person wey dey alive fit replace anything wey dem take. |
khadaffi:You dey mind am? Common read and understand....e no fit. |
sureboykris:Wike is just not smart. He thinks being smart is all about talking all the time. How does it even sound that Secondus left few months to the primary; Ayu comes onboard to handle the primary; then Ayu leaves immediately after the primary, because a Northern candidate has emerged, to give room to another Chairman.....that's senseless. He fought Secondus and succeeded. The North won't allow him humiliate Ayu or anyone else. When I say that Wike doesn't understand politics, people think that I am joking. For him, everything na about force...How many of his key associates in Rivers state are still with him. I mean the Meabas, Omehias, Obuahs etc. What Ayu promised is immaterial at this time. The key question is: has Ayu contravened any party or national constitutional provision by deciding to 'backtrack' on his alleged promise to step aside and to remain in office? We are all humans. Has Wike or anyone never broken any promise before? Wike don loose election, make him go rest abeg. The fact is, wetin APC go do Wike after using him....e no go fit recover from am. No matter how he sees it, PDP is still his most comfy place. I rest my case. |
Doyou2019:2023 is still in front of us. We go know who the real urchins be after then. |
