TimmyTen:Perhaps if all Igbos leave Lagos on account of the ills you described, people will have no choice but to agree with you completely.... Also, everything you described remains the challenge of most large cities all over the world....from traffic congestion, crime, drugs, over population, sanitation issues etc, Lagos isn't an exception. |
Pwettylinda:Make them leave na.... What is special about being a lecturer? Isn't it like other jobs? Which workers or employees aren't deserving of improved welfare? Nobody should feel more entitled. This is self centeredness. The call should be for an upward review of salaries and remuneration of workers, not just members of ASUU. No be same market we all dey buy from? People that keep recycling handouts of since the 1970s... What are they doing about sex for grades, cultism, drug abuse etc? Why isn't ASUU campaigning against these ills? Many of these lecturers have ventured, and are in politics like Goodluck Jonathan, Shehu Shegari, Yemi Osinbajo...what were their contributions to fixing the system. The rot in the Nigerian system actually stems from our universities, to a reasonable extent. There is corruption all over the university system, including in the SUGs. Let's not try to exonerate these lecturers from the mess. If dem give dem political appointment now, dem go, go tv dey defend government upandan. |
CYBERSOLDIERSre:Keep leaving in self denial. Onitsha or anywhere isn't Onitsha or anywhere. Elites have special, more organized, peaceful and safer sections where they live across towns and cities in Nigeria. We mostly refer to such places as GRAs... Cursing is the hallmark of Obi's supporters, and people are already used to it. It only shows how low you guys are. Obi won't be win the presidency, so start getting used to this. You can save my post. |
Alpharey:Lol. Politicians do this all the time. There is nothing simple about them. What is simple about not conducting LGA elections, investing public funds into family business without the state getting any shareholding or constructing shabby infrastructural projects across the state using family and cronies? Please, let's stop celebrating gross incompetence, failure and ineptitude. Maybe, you should find out what Zulum has done in just 2 years as Borno governor. Perhaps, then you can stop celebrating incompetence. Zulum achievements in two years dwarfs Obi's in Anambra in 8 years. Despite not being a governor, do a research on what Marwa has achieved with the NDLEA. These are people we should be celebrating and clamouring for, for higher political responsibilities, not people with little or nothing to show for the huge public trust invested in them. |
PresidObi:That is a big lie! No candidate will win 99.9% anywhere. You guys are just being emotional... elections aren't about emotions. 2023 dey around the corner. |
plusfield:Does he live in Odoakpu or Upper Iweka? He certainly lives around the GRA area in Onitsha. So, why sound like he lives in an average neighborhood where anyone could walk up to him and have a chat? |
stano2:Searching of phones is okay on grounds of suspicion. We urgently need to rid Nigeria of drugs, as this is what is fueling the rising insecurity and criminality in the country. I have always said it that a Fashola - Marwa or Fashola - Zulum would have been Nigeria's best bet. |
faithfull18:She nor understand life... Everything no be by gragra... If you die, life goes on. People must learn to appreciate that life is precious, and can only be lived once. As much as we can, let's preserve our lives with peace of mind. If your wife wan end you...discharge am, women plenty for outside; if your husband wan ruin you, leave am, men never finish for the world. We no say death go come, but no kill yourself over another person, wey no send you. |
ZeroAccess:Obi is only a dream. He won't win. Besides, Tinubu is a way better choice than Obi. Make we forget the discrimination of age. Obi didn't perform as Anambra governor. Go and verify the states of the roads he constructed...also check poverty index before and during his administration. |
Totilopussylick:Lol... E go be president without erection? Abi una don dey develop cold feet? |
tuoyoojo:Politicians spend money to mobilize people.... including Obi, so forget the talk that he doesn't spend money. Where is that picture of Obi sharing money again sef? I guess you just started following Nigeria's politics. What has never happened? The presidential election that brought Jonathan in 2011 portrayed a much more unconditional following of a politician than this one, especially when you consider spread. Jonathan won several states in the North, including Adamawa and Taraba. I doubt that Obi can win any state in the North. If we are to talk about real 'magical' following of a candidate in a presidential election...we should be talking about the Abiola's and Buhari's of this world. |
BOOOMNAIJA:Main opposition to ruling party for social media na.... What were his party's records of performance in the Ekiti and Osun elections? Don't forget the rally held in his home state....any of the candidates would pull huge crowd in their home states. Kwankwaso would shutdown Kano completely. Tinubu and Atiku would pull thrice or more of this crowd in their home states. |
vicdom:Wetin you dey talk sef? So, Atiku should abandon his PDP Presidential candidacy because of Wike? Who sabi Wike outside Rivers state? Atiku has Okowa, Udom, Diri in the Southsouth? Wike or Rivers alone does not make the Southsouth region. Atiku has done his bit for peace. The PDP BoT Chair was sacrificed to make peace with Wike, but he keeps insisting on Ayu? Now that the Campaign Council has been inaugurated, Wike can go hug a transformer if he so wishes. Election na win or loose. If Wike was so much of a juggernaut, why didn't he win Atiku in the primary? Atiku beat Wike and Tambuwal in 2019 right there at Wike's backyard, Port Harcourt....and in 2022, he beat Wike again. Atiku no be him mate. |
SlavaUkraini:Lol. If Buhari contests election with Jonathan again today, Buhari go still win am. What projects does Jonathan have? Buhari has outperformed Jonathan by miles.. Had Jonathan remained in power as global economy worsened, wetin we dey face now go be like Christmas celebration compared to wetin we for face.... If you know the huge projects ( both competed and ongoing) undertaken by Buhari, u no go mention Jonathan name again... |
Totilopussylick:Face no dey too show for huge crowd... If say the place scanty, you for see their faces. Tinubu carry crowd o. |
sarrki:Na wetin I dey tell them since.... From LGA Chairmen to State Governors.... Once we hold these guys tightly accountable, we don fix Nigeria... This is not much Tinubu, Obi or Atiku can do.... |
Corridon:Same APC backed and ensured that she became head of the global body. Both GEJ and Iweala didn't do well in office overall, and that is a fact. However, that does not mean that there isn't areas where they succeeded. GEJ was great with quality ideas but lacked will to execute. Na where Buhari take trounce am be that. Iweala own na just to dey tie headgear and issue advisory while Sambo Dasuki did her job of disbursing government funds... GEJ's administration was an extremely thieving one. Had half the global economic problems we face today emerged under GEJ, Nigerians for hear 'am. |
blesson04:You talk no follow abeg... Tobi Amusan no be Nigerian.... Wetin concern Buhari with Anthony Joshua? |
edward1106:They have no pending issue with ASUU. ASUU isn't the only workers' group in Nigeria. Let's stop all these 'unreasonability.' Were you not in Nigeria when government, against all odds, made certain increment propositions, which they outrightly turned down? So, government shouldn't increase the number of universities in Nigeria until they pay what ASUU says...did you even read what you wrote? Creating new varsities means expanding access to higher education to more Nigerians; increased job opportunities; economic development; tackling illiteracy etc. Besides, you said approved...it does not mean that the universities are already being built. It will certainly take a couple of years for the approved universities to come up stream. Government funding for the proposed new varsities may also come from hybrid sources. Are you saying that all government projects should be stalled until ASUU demands are met, notwithstanding concessionary propositions made by government, which they turned down? Like the ASUU people would claim, they are are the country's best brains ( though I completely disagree with that nonsensical assertion. Having a PhD or professorial doesn't make anyone superior to the other). People of all kinds of occupation deserve enhanced welfare, especially in the face of challenging global economy. Can anyone take away from the essential, near indispensable services of people in sectors such as Agriculture, Transport / Logistics, Security, Telecommunication, Informal etc. Are we saying that the guys in ASUU deserve more than these guys? Your 2 children, 4 children analogy doesn't fit at all. People do not decide to have more children because they have met all the needs of their existing offsprings...that doesn't fit. |
Anndrew:Who cares what you say... You don't determine who is from or not from Anambra... As far as I am concerned, you and whatever you say are insignificant. |
rusher14:U dey mind dem? Someone that failed woefully as governor... He wants Buhari to end strike by increasing pay of ASUU members in the face of dwindling revenues; global economic crisis etc, but he couldn't conduct LGA elections or account for LGA funds in 8 whole years as Anambra governor. They never stop to ask themselves if ASUU are the only workers' group that deserve a pay rise or enhanced welfare in Nigeria? Even in the US and UK, railway and aviation workers are on strike. Why haven't their governments increased their pay if it is that easy as Obi says....In France and elsewhere, energy cuts and rationing are being proposed to try to manage the global economic crisis. Someone that talks and sounds like a palm-wine tapper.....always churning out warped ideas and analysis. Hand Obi Nigeria and he would ground her in less than 6 months. |

rusher14:I neva see man wey dey lie like Obi.... |
Bendeco02:After 2023 elections, we go know who get sense? |
Tochi3:Obi can never be Nigeria's president. We can't have a president that talks carelessly. His lies are out of this world. How is Obi a man of integrity? Has he accounted for Anambra LGAs' funds? Has he told Anambra how much shareholding they own in their money he invested in his family business? Let me tell you something. Obi's refusal to conduct LGA elections contributed immensely to the hopelessness, joblessness and collapse of security in Anambra. Maybe you should go and verify what the poverty index was before Obi became governor and compare it to during his time as governor. |
Throwback:Obi has always been finished. I am from Anambra, a full blooded Anambra man. Obi would be the biggest mistake that Nigerians will ever make. The fortunate thing is, he won't be president. That's why I don't take him seriously. The man just talks anyhow without thinking. How can a presidential candidate talk more than his entire campaign team put together? He has no chance whatsoever in the North...now he has lost the SW completely...how can he become president? |
SlavaUkraini:'know that and know peace'. I do not need to know anything about you to know peace. I no sabi you, you know sabi me; hence my peace of mind has nothing to do with you. My point is simple...we can disagree but you can't scare me with death. Death wey everybody go die? You claim that I insulted you first....did I also threaten you first? Did my last response contain any insult? Didn't you still insult me in this your response? I see that you are insolent, and that isn't my problem but yours. I be small boy.... keep your big boy for your pocket. I no dey drag am with you. |
SlavaUkraini:Big man, I no fear you or death. All man go die...don't sound like you own anybody's life. You dey tell me wetin go happen to me.....as God abi? People dey fallout with people everyday, both online and in real life, no come dey form like say you be God. You don't insult people and expect them to be nice to you or fear you. You dey call me small boy...na you dey pay my bills? What makes you think that you are older than I am. Better respect yourself... |
SlavaUkraini:Big man, I no fear you or death. All man go die...don't sound like you own anybody's life. You dey tell me wetin go happen to me.....as God abi? |
otipoju:Lol! The man na talkative. Even as governor, he had no roadmap for Anambra. He led Anambra without a blueprint. Obi na where-belle-face politician. Always talking about how he intends to make Nigeria turn into China...yet he's heavily into importation business. I don't take him seriously sha....he was my governor, so I sabi am well. Na so so talk e dey talk. |
Totilopussylick:Fortunately, that won't happen. Obi isn't going to be president. His performance as governor was below par. No conduct of LGA elections; No account for LGA funds; Worsened poverty index under him; No landmark projects etc. |
Validated:Obi is not doing badly on Social media. He won't win the presidency though. He needs either the North and Southwest to win. And he is neither going to get any of them. Tribalism is a huge problem in Nigeria, but we keep downplaying it. |
