SmartProf:Your herdman with NEPA bill qualification analogy is completely out of place. While I agree that Soludo has to bring aboard bright minds, having a PhD and professorial does not make anyone a bright mind. Are you saying that you haven't seen people with PhDs and professorials, who going about sleeping with teenage girls on campuses and constituting nuisance in the society? I know you were referring to Buhari when you mentioned NEPA certificate. Buhari will be commissioning the 2nd Niger Bridge in few months, the single must important infrastructure in the Southeast; something a PhD holder could not get off the drawing board. These things aren't about PhD o. |
lexy2014:On Alpha Beta? I won't answer you. Find out yourself. As for the comment credited to Fashola, the news source is little known and I can't comment. However, this was in 2015, and the assessment, if true, couldn't have included the current administration that hadn't kicked off then. As for standard of living, that will depend on where you are coming from, and who is making the assessment. As for me, I do not see any good living standard in throwing monies around without infrastructures and improving key sectors, especially agriculture. Let's make it easy, name key infrastructures built under Jonathan, with incontrovertible facts to back them up. Please, leave the 'nearly completed' ones. |
flokii:Lol! |
after4:Where did this idiot come out from? Where did I call Dangote and co. businessmen in my post? You no well at all. Mind you, Allen Onyema is from my state...onye iberibe! |
lexy2014:Your guess is as good as mine on Alpha Beta. What would you call a man who couldn't complete a water project meant for his own people....but had to wait for a Fulani man to do so? A man whose administration sold crude at over $100 for a significant part of its span, yet couldn't fix our roads, bridges, rails etc? |
after4:What is this one saying? Who in Nigeria does not know that Dangote, Adenuga, Elumelu etc, are fronts to a group of corrupt politicians? How did Fulani or Tinubu come into the discussion? Common, don't be petty in your needless attempt to justify Allen Onyema. |
obedugo:Allen Onyema is no businessman. He is only a front for a group of fantastically corrupt individuals connected to Nigeria's immediate past and most reckless administration, led by the infamous, clueless President Goodluck Jonathan. No be Allen Onyema get Air Peace sef. |
Max24:Oga, Buhari has proven not to be interested in imposing governors in states. That is the type of president he is. Otherwise, Wike no reach. We all know how petty and brutish Obasanjo and Jonathan can get over such issues. Buhari was not even interested in having his brother-in-law as Adamawa governor, despite pressure from his own wife. Na part of wetin make Aisha talk wetin she talk for that her famous interview wey make Buhari come give am the landmark 'za oda room' response. Wike is uncouth and reckless. Forget being governor or not, Wike and Obaseki no dey the same class. Obaseki pass am for everything. Na so so quarrel Wike dem quarrel with everybody...e don fight Okupe, FFK, Dokpesi, Amaechi, Fayose, Tambuwal, Atiku, Secondus etc. Is that what you call consistency? If you want to see a professional liar, go and meet Wike. He is a serial betrayal. He is unintelligent. He is too dominating.... infact, he is everything negative. |
Lubumbashi:I taya for Wike stupidity sha. Obaseki is a governor just as him, what makes him believe he has more stake in the party. Wike is being used and he doles out Rivers money recklessly. Perhaps, this is what makes him think he has more stake than anyone else. Wike is just making a fool of himself. |
Nwodosis:What Uzodinma said is 100% correct. Name any past president of Nigeria and their landmark accomplishments across the six geopolitical zones in the country. You guys need to go to Bonny Island to see the Bonny-Bodo Bridge project to appreciate what Buhari has done. These are landmark projects that have been on paper and recurring budgets for decades. Imagine, common Zik Masoleum project, Jonathan couldn't complete in 6 years, despite being an inherited project by his party men (Obasanjo and Yardua). It took a Buhari to complete it, but his wife, Patience, completed a multiple billion naira hotel (Aridolf) in Yenagoa, in less than 3 years. Should we talk about the Ogbia Regional Water project in his very own place which he abandoned? |
Hisbah21:Is there a law that criminalizes defection? That does not justify his being disrespectful of others. Wike talks anyhow, and acts like a tout. |
BluntCrazeMan:Are you an African? Is this the first of such document to be put together by a state in Nigeria? How far with Nigeria's Vision 20: 2020 Plan; Plateau State Development Plan 2019 - 2023; Borno State 25-year Development Farmwork etc. Abia state recently launched their own long term development plan. Are the absence of these plans the reason why Nigeria is still grossly developed? Is it responsible for the incurable, massive corruption? What sort of 'clear direction' does anyone need to fix bad roads, enhance the healthcare and education sectors, combat corruption, improve security, create industries and factories, grossly mechanize agriculture, expand transportation options, develop mining and solid minerals etc... No two leaders understand the priorities of their people in the same way. So, I think it makes no sense developing a development plan for leaders of several generations to come, especially in a world where global realities change everyday. For instance, what Soludo and his team that developed the development document, understands as the priorities of Ndi Anambra, are not what I or anyone understand as our collective priorities. |
BluntCrazeMan:I am very certain that those details won't be contained in the document. I am from Anambra, and I know these people very well. It is evident that it is an unworkable document. First, what are Anambra's comparative advantages? How have the administrations of the past aligned their programs, including the one that commissioned this document, with these comparative advantages? What is the composition of the Committee that produced this document, in terms of representation from every nook and cranny of the state? Was the document ratified in all the LGAs that constitute the state? Do they even understand the 'seriousness' of that document? If they did, it would not be used as a tool for a 'last minute show' by the outgoing administration. I do not need to read the document to know this. You didn't get my view on yearly budgets. My point is, if yearly budgets are well articulated, designed to meet prevailing human needs and wholesomely implemented; what is the need for a 50-year long development plan that successive administrations are unlikely to adhere to? |
todaynewsreview:All these are waste of precious time and resources. While it is good to have a governance, if you like, a developmental guide for a state, the big issue is, is there any law that criminalizes deviation from such development plan. What will happen if a governor emerges and decides to execute his own programs outside of the state's development roadmap? That is the issue. It is not all about having a development plan. What sort of development plan disenfranchises its people by not conducting LG elections and allowing the people choose their leaders, at the lowest level of government? Shey, you can see that the document is nonsense? Does the document address the lack of transparency in IGR collection and utilization? These are nothing but facades. I prefer a yearly, thorough prepared, high human impact, and strictly implemented budget to all the compilation of intangible hogwash being paraded all over the media. |
plaetton:You dey mind am. Pastors and politicians....who better pass? Pastors even worse pass sef. |
Unruly7:How exactly? I dey Awka now, and I am not happy at all with the condition of the roads. Yes, the airport, Convention Center, Women Development Center and Stadium projects have been completed....but there still exist alarming gaps in human capital, road infrastructures, agriculture, security, transportation, road infrastructures etc, in the state; and these are the lifeblood of any society. IGR collection is still shrouded with corruption and the LGAs remain grossly inactive, owning to the deliberate illegal refusal of successive administrations to conduct elections. I expected these to form the pillars of the pre governorship election debates. Anambra is a total mess. You will not understand. There is no real governance structure in place. Obiano could have done far more. Soludo has so much to do, and I want to believe that he understands the real situations beyond what he has put together on paper as manifesto. I supported Soludo because I didn't see a better candidate from the array of contestants. However, I still have my doubts about him. He seems to be a man readily given to controversies, hence could easily be distracted. His leverage is obviously his intellect and known prudence, but whether he has the 'will power' to break the strong chain of 'political gluttons', milking the state, is a key issue. |
Zonefree:And maybe recall Segun Odegbami and Etim Esin too. |
YorobaPIGS:Onye mkpurummiri! How is Obi my own? If he cared about anyone from Anambra as governor, he would have done his best to fix Anambra. Go and see all the roads he constructed across the state. They have all become death traps, and you are there talking nonsense. |
Mooh247:Who be Obi again sef? Obi is one of the worst things that happened to Anambra... E no fit conduct LG elections sef. Which e say him save Anambra money sef? Fidelity abi....which people get am? With him yeye woman voice and Chinese roads wey potholes don destroy finish. Na real Obi Pandora!! |
mrvitalis:What is this one talking about? Don't we have Igbos in Buhari's administration? Oh, I didn't know Onu, Ngige, Onyema, Ogah, Ikeazor, Nwajiuba etc are Fulani. It is people like you that would talk about the entire North as a single region, and then compare it with the Southeast. Na your type dey argue say Hausa / Fulani don rule taya...Are Babangida and Gowon that ruled for a combined 17 years Hausa or Fulani? Buhari does not need to call Igbo or Southsouth leaders to convince them about anything. Mention one Nigerian president that has outperformed Buhari in the South East or the entire Southern Nigeria? Trust you ke...do you even trust or know yourself? If you did, you write what you wrote. |
[quote author=surebona post=110859450]Chai which kind capping be this one na. Me no wan involve with man self o[/quote) My guy, when death don come...dem no dey fit hold am. See you....see death. |
surebona:How you dey take mix wetin you dey take? |
DozieMartin:So what? There are toll gates around the world. If this is what will drive infrastructural development....why not? Na make the roads be death traps naim you prefer? |
foryourmindlol:Your illiteracy and ignorance are incurable. You are so foolish that you couldn't imagine that any Nigerian could use the rail to Niger? Do you know how many traders from Southern Nigerian that do business between Nigeria and Niger? So, it is only Igbos that would use the 2nd Niger Bridge? E be like say kerosene pour inside your brain. Do you think the old Niger Bridge would be tolled or dismantled because of the new one? This one think say toll gates no dey abroad.....if you no wan pay toll, you use alternative route. No be fight. You no how much wey gridlock for the current Niger Bridge dey cost (manhour losses) the country? For your information, na Julius Berger dey provide the most fund (over 80%), and also dey build the bridge. I no no wetin carry Chinese investors come 2nd Niger Bridge. |
obanioluorun:Who is this please? Praise himself? How? He is a public officer for crying out loud, and therefore owes the people updates on his stewardship. Is that why you call praising oneself? They depend on oil from Niger Delta you said.... that certainly shows how uninformed you are. How then was Nigeria able to come out of recession even when your oil sold for less than $30 per barrel? How were they able to embark and execute more projects than your Niger Delta brother and co-oil owner, Jonathan, while he was president? Fashola and Buhari are the two best things to happen to Nigeria. Did you say they have got no ideas? Perhaps, you meant that you are not informed about their programs and projects. Go and read about The Presidential Infrastructure Tax Scheme. That ingenious idea grossly tackled corruption and gave birth to the completed 8-lane highway from Apapa through Oshodi down to Oworonshoki in Lagos. This was done by the Dangote group. The same idea is birthing the first ever land access to Bonny Island in Rivers State, valued at over 100billion... likewise the Onitsha-Awka-Enugu Expressway among others. What do you even know about the Niger Delta? You are a defender of Niger Delta abi? Where were you when billions accruing to the NDDC was swallowed by your brothers? What did your uncle Jonathan do in the Niger Delta? Are you aware that Buhari has signed the FID for NLNG Train 7 project? You think that they are clueless yet they fixed the rail infrastructure, which was hitherto abandoned for over three decades, from Warri, passing Agbarho, Ughelli, Agenebode and Agbor (all in the Niger Delta) to Itakpe in Northern Nigeria. They 2nd Niger Bridge that provides stronger link between the SE and SS is nearing completion. Lagos-Ibadan Railway is up and running. If these are what you call cluelessness...then we need more of it. |
africanpride1:Fashola is most likely Nigeria's next president. |
abeyaktech:Oga, the fuel scarcity issue isn't Buhari's fault. Nigerians are panic buying and terribly greedy. The NNPC has come out to say that there isn't shortage both in storage and supply. There are fuel stations that still sell at N165. Citizens have the right to jettison greedy marketers of petroleum products. As for power supply, we dey get light for my town for, at least 22 hours, a day. Infact, light could stay for 1 week, 2weeks or more without an outage, except, of course, there is an issue. Abi no be Nigeria my town and several other neighbouring towns dey? As for ASUU, those people aren't serious at all. |
revived2:No be only 'on the North' na 'at the North'. |
SarkinYarki:Wike wey no sabi himself naim wan address insecurity.... Anyways, na joke u dey sha. How safe is Rivers State? |
LegendHero:Lol. Person wey no like Buhari, make e go hug transformer jare. |
LeoDeKing:Lol. You sabi dem well. Dem no well at all. |
