SpatialKing:Don't be ignorant! That position belonged to the North. That was the position Amina Mohammed left to become Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations. Every state must have representation in the FEC. Your comment was uncalled for. |
Ezeama400:Let me have a list of wealth creators that Obi raised while he was governor. All the roads constructed under him are today ridden with potholes. He couldn't conduct LGA elections in 8 years. What sort of leadership did he bring in Anambra? Have you ever heard Obi name his key policies and projects during his 8 years as governor? He only talks about paying salaries and pension, and of course, his savings for the state. Abeg, are public servants and retirees not meant to get their salaries and pension regularly? Is this supposed to be an achievement? Can you now see that this man is not well? He was my governor. I am so ashamed of him always being repetitive and celebrative of salary and pension payments, which are supposed to be statutory duties. Shouldn't a governor who owes salaries and pension be removed from office immediately if the state houses of assembly truly know their jobs? Why was Obi busy saving Anambra's money, in his Fidelity Bank and a few other banks, while roads being constructed under him were being shabbily done? Couldn't Obi setup large mechanized farms in each of the Senatorial zones in the state to create massive employments, boost revenue generation and make Anambra one of the food hubs of the Southeast / Southsouth regions, instead of 'dashing' commercial banks Anambra's money for their businesses, in the guise of savings? Some dumb people claim that Obi is good with economics, and I ask a basic question, should the priority of a good economist, in an largely underdeveloped and jobless economy, be to mass up funds in commercial banks or invest in high labour-yielding, income generating, necessity sectors, such as agriculture, transportation etc? |
NaijaCoverBlog:UBA is officially Nigeria's most useless bank. |
SisterFire:That's cowardice. Dem suppose paint am for day time. |
osinbanjoisaliar:Oga, the person you quoted is very correct. I doubt that you seriously understand what is going on. Nobody send Obi, even in Anambra. I am from Anambra. We no even know say e dey. What happened to his two candidates (Henry Obaze and Val Ozigbo) in the last two governorship elections? Put together, his candidates no fit boast of winning 4 LGAs in the two elections. You check am na.. I guess say na people like you bin dey root for Saraki before the PDP Presidential Primary of 2019. Did you see how Atiku messed them up? Including Wike wey be Alhaji bringi bringi, Tambuwal and Kwankwaso. No be for social media dem dey do election o. |
hydroking23:Wike is just making a fool of himself. What food product does Rivers state contribute to feeding Nigeria with? Only a senseless person wouldn't commend Buhari on Agriculture. Unless Wike smuggles himself into the Senate (which I think he should be working on), this is the last political position he will be occupying in Nigeria. It is much more easier for me wey never be anything for Nigeria to be president, than for Wike to near that position. |
TheNiceGuy:Lol. I thought that after downgrading Wike, you'd mention a better candidate... mtchewww. Na Obi you come dey mention.... Neither Obi nor Wike can even get the PDP ticket. None of them can beat Atiku in a primary. Mind you, I don't support PDP, but I know this for sure. |
FirstSon01:Oga, u dey learn? Buhari will never hand over power to PDP. Forget it! |
otipoju:Buba Marwa, VP to Peter Obi? Mtchewww. Wetin Peter Obi sabi about governance? Because e dey always shout 'China, China', una feel say e fit be President... Why couldn't he turn Anambra to China? How well did Obi handle Anambra's economy? Let's talk facts now. I am from Anambra state. |
MajesticKris:It is just foolishness. Na only dem dey hungry? |
Truthisunique2:Akuko! Political analyst! Who wan throw Atiku out? You dey learn for Nigeria politics? The Ortom-led PDP zoning committee has thrown open the contest to all contestants. Anyone who understands Nigeria's politics knows that this gives Atiku an edge. You can already see Bukola Saraki, Bala Mohammed, Aminu Tambuwal etc, already running helter skelter to form a consensus. Can Wike face Atiku? Wike dey learn. He should remember what happened in his backyard in 2019. The fact is simple and direct. PDP is not ready for 2023. Which sensible party will have its Chairman coming from the North, would be talking about throwing its presidential ticket open? Naturally, the ticket should come down South. You can see that they are not ready. While the APC talks about Tinubu, Osinbajo, Fashola, Amaechi etc, PDP has mostly Northerners aspirants. |
Salvador1:No Presidential Candidate would want Wike as running mate. Not one! Wike is uncouth and disrespectful. He is terribly ambitious and insensible. Besides, who even says Wike can be Vice President? If can't be President, he can't be Vice President too. Anyways, PDP is going nowhere. We just need them to join the fray and let the money go round. |
Starzo:And who says you need NIN to track location? Is this one well at all? NIN obviously effectively assigns an identity to a phone user. Can you rule out the importance of an effective data system in combatting crime? E be like say you don craze before? |
Theunbothered:No be by force o. Don't link your phone line. You dey do me? See this one!!!! |
Ray07:Your thunder na audio one...e never still reach where I dey o. Abi, e don fire you? Beriberi! |
madridguy:Not doing the right is another different thing entirely, but to tell me that SIM-NIN linking does not have substantial potential to enhancing our security, wouldn't make any sense. So, you need to understand the direction of my argument before just commenting. I certainly understand that right policies require the right set of attitude and actions to work. For now, SIM-NIN linking is a right framework being put in place. How we leverage it to better security is another issue altogether. |
slickycee:Oga, you mustn't show ignorance in everything. Wetin pass you, pass you. So, the victim's phone wey the kidnapper wan use no go dey linked? That is the idea. So long the phone line is linked to a NIN. Tracking efficiency, and by extension, is enhanced. As for you using your friends linked phone line, that one na una palava. Your friend never know wetin e dey do, except of course, you no dey do crime. |
Haryoife:You could think this out but couldn't ask why anyone would want to kidnap anyone when they aren't certain of a communication channel with which to negotiate ransom. What is the point in engaging in deadly kidnapping if it is near impossible to guarantee collection of ransom? Did you hear of the Rugu forest invasion by the military in which more than 20 kidnap victims were rescued? Rugu forest is in Kastina state. How about the rescue of Okonjo-Iweala mother? How was that possible? What of the over 200 bandits that were smoked out from their hideout in Niger State? Do you even know that the police and military have dedicated tracking units? I know of countless cases where tracking was deployed to save lives, hence the SIM-NIN linking is something to be taken seriously. I have a tracker friend who works with security agencies in kidnap rescue operations. Dem don rescue tons of people, and recover wanton stolen properties. So, you either link your phone line or get barred. Dem no dey beg person. Your comment is really disappointing, I must say. |
CaptainAyub:Let me get your kidnapping stats before and after the linking commenced. Oga, I am not a drinker. I no sabi beer parlour gist. I will be glad to have your data and source(s). |
ChristineC:Mtchewww. Do you even know the relations between access to communication and security? The blocking is long overdue. What does it cost anyone to follow a national directive, with obvious collective gain potential? If na abroad now, we go queue for line like 'zomos' to do am. Go see as Nigerians dey rush Covid vaccines just to travel abroad...but dem sidon since dey spew nonsense about the same vaccines because the advise come from our own government. |
slawormiir:See person wey claim to be ICT / Digital / Technology expert.... SIM-NIN should happen before phone lines become active and functional. Communication is central to security. That should be a prerequisite for having a phone line in Nigeria, as this will significantly improve security and tracking of criminal elements. At a time that insecurity is growing by the day, we shouldn't be waiting for 'whatever' to fizzle out before doing the needful. Nigerians should either comply with this directive or have their phone lines blocked, until after it's been done. Everything should be about 'when we want it' and freedom. This blocking penalty is long overdue. We are too laid back and lackadaisical in this country. Only proactive in blame games. |
donbrowser:That is the essence of the block. They should start blocking all unlinked phone lines. This will go a long way to enhancing the fight against banditry and criminality. |
IamBabsjnr:You no sabi Nigerians? Dem go soon start to dey blame Buhari, after deadline was shifted severally. How do we expect insecurity to be fought effectively, when these unlinked phone lines are left functional? They should block them all. |
Frigga13:Lol. I agree with you though. Wike knows nothing about politics. Just watch and see how he will be humiliated. |
robosky02:How did we even end up with this Pinnick guy as NFF President? The guy is such a dumb, arrogant fellow. |
casppyjay:No comma, how would anyone understand what your writing? Maybe you should go do a research on train attacks across the world. First, 99% of Nigerians are poor. That's a demonic lie. So, you expect all the countries of the world to send condolences to Nigeria over the train attack? How much have you done about the millions of lives that have been evacuated and have died in the Russian-Ukraine war? Do you know the crisis going on in Europe? Every country has its crisis. You don't start waiting for condolences. |
Mintum:Who takes a country where men wear skirts seriously? For me, Buhari has done well. |
Xhuntra:Abeg shift! Keep defending the shame that the Southeast is fast becoming on account of IPOB activities. Everything na Fulani herdsmen....na Fulani herdsmen slap Ebele Obiano too. Until the SE begins to take responsibility for her destiny....we will keeping chasing shadows. |
Xhuntra:Wetin this one dey yap about sef? |
rayvelez:Lying against GEJ? What lie? There is no lie about the fact that GEJ was a total failure in governance. |
Ejanla69:You obviously come from a lineage of foolish, illiterate individuals. What do I even say to someone who begins a sentence in lower case? Mtchewww. I have been everywhere around Nigeria. I don't do tribe or emotions. Peter Obi isn't suitable for Nigeria's presidency. He does not have the track record, charisma and sincerity to be president. He was my governor. I have met him in person. I had a little chat with him while he was Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP, at an interactive section hosted in honour of President Emmanuel Macron of France, somewhere in Lagos. This was the same emotions people showed over Jonathan, and he ended becoming one of Nigeria's worst presidents with nothing to show, after 6 years in office. Have you wondered why Anambra people keep humiliating his choice candidates (i.e Henry Oseloka Obaze, Val Ozigbo) at governorship elections? I know people within his close circles and what they say about him. I was expecting you to comment on issues that I raised; viz shabbily constructed roads across the state; non conduct of LGA elections etc. |
mrvitalis:This isn't even the direction of the discourse. The issue is, does being an engineer connote that one cannot perform repairs or maintenance tasks? As in, you become too big to perform maintenance tasks because you are an engineer... I know all those details you shared regarding COREN. |
