What we need are strong institutions, especially the judiciary and law enforcement agencies. We must start electing credible persons into positions of trust. We must emphasize financial probity, merit and accountability. We must develop an effective way to shame, punish and excommunicate proven looters of public treasuries.

Importantly, we must deemphasize religious and ethnicity, if we must move ahead as a country.
