Nigeria's debt profile is a disaster that will eventually be the downfall of the country several years from now. Forget all the whitewashing, the failing naira and the thieving politicians will make sure the country never full recover from crushing debt. Another Greece in the making

So sad . . But Buhari doesn't give a shiit.

In another country, The Minister for Defence would have been giving daily press briefings since that time.

Magashi didn't address the issue for almost 2 weeks.

Why? He knows that with all his failures as a Minister, he is leaving the portfolio in 2023. No fear of sack.

Quick one guys…Asking for a friend…

Her international passport is still valid till January 2023, however she got married sometime last year and has done name change so she applied for a new passport very recently(expedited/fast tracked). The issue is she just got PPR today so she wants confirmation on whether she can send the old one for CoPR and whenever the new one comes, she’ll attach both and travel without issues or should she wait for the new one and send to Accra.

I really wonder what she was changing name for. That was unnecessary.

Lol, I am new here and can reason with some points
There's nothing surprising, unique or unusual there. It's all just your Nigerian background that's making you think it is. There's absolutely nothing wrong for people to say they don't want kids or don't want to marry. That you grew up in a Nigeria where people think that's normal doesn't make it the right thing or the wrong thing. It's just people's preferences. Being open-minded helps. Many Nigerians who go to Canada in their late 20's and early 30's are stuck in a way of thinking that's not open nor tolerant. They are the gay-haters and the cat-haters. Mindset still wrapped or trapped in 90's traditional thinking. The ones who won't see women as equals. Again, nothing wrong with the Canada dating scene. But everything wrong with the way you look at it from a Nigerian prism.

Crime / Re: Toyosi Was "Wrongfully Restrained" by the Suspects - Police Release Statement by CountVersailles(f): 5:49am On Apr 15, 2022
Nigerians are a funny lot. When the police don't do their job, they complain. When the police do their job, they still complain. Complaining seems to be part of their life because they always the one in the right. What that girl did was very wrong, and she should be prosecuted for it as deterrent for many girls who think they hold the power to tweet whatever suits them in order to discredit anyone else, man or woman. How can you say you were being RAPED and KIDNAPPED, when none of that was happening at all. Ha! You should go to jail for that, honestly. And for the guys to forcefully restrain her from leaving their house? They should also be prosecuted for that. Some twitter warriors will soon start saying shebi she tweeted that she was fine. Okay, we haff heard. But what happened to that first tweet when she was basically screaming on Twitter that she was being assaulted, raped and kidnapped. We should just go to sleep and forget that she ever tweeted that? Haba! Nigerians!

Education / Re: I Feel Like I Wasted My Time On Education by CountVersailles(f): 10:39am On Apr 14, 2022
shogsman:
I'm in my early 30s, I've got a bsc in sociology, a master's degree in statistics and like a dozen other professional degrees in human resource management, gerentology, demography, financial risk management, oil and gas services, pmp and so on.

Infact I'm basically one of the most educated individuals I've met. The sad part is I've never made a cent off my educational qualifications.
Heck I work in a totally different industry and make a good living which I'm definitely not going to trade for social work or psychology, so this past few days I get myself thinking what a waste of Time and resources that was, I literarily spent millions on my education, even relocating abroad to study but it was all a goddamn waste of time, all I got is a useless paper I'm never going to use.

My advice to young ones out there is to set your goals right and stupid untraditional ideas is better than no ideas. You don't necessarily have to pursue a degree to be okay in life.
The very reason you think your education was a waste is the same reason you have not been able to make any substantial off it. Think about that.

Currently reading from the beginning. And I seem to observe that it's mostly married people getting this PPR. Can't someone get it as a single person please?
The age range 20-29 constitute the largest population of express entry applicants who get the visa. Many are unmarried. infact, it's far easier to get it as a single person than as a married person. Just be below 24, have a masters and a few years experience and you will almost surely get the visa. So, I don't think it's true most people who get it are married.

Many will not realize that this guy is a criminal. I'm waiting for David Hundeyin to dig the dirt on him. He wasn't just invited to EFCC for no reason. Guy is also probably into drugs and money laundering. He may have stopped sha. But it's common knowledge that's how he started. But in Nigeria, just do little philanthropy here and there and you will have enough supporters for the authorities to look like haters when they come after you.

You're at fault here. How do you even cope with generator noise? Look around you there, do solar that can power your gadgets. I set up my solar for about 400k it's been two years now I don't use NEPA light at all. I'm on 24/7 on solar. My panels are up on the roof charging my battery always. You can go for cheaper one. So look around you.
You are very stupid, honestly. How did you even conjure up the trick that he is at fault? Your mind is suffering from misdirection, honestly. Instead make una dey blame the Buhari government, you are blaming your fellow citizen and saying he or she is at fault. See craze

Hello rooms
I find it so disgusting when ever I am talking with some of my friends abroad sometimes
They feel they’ve made it in life because they are abroad
Meanwhile you are even doing better than them. I see them as a modern slaves because they do all sorts of works they can’t even think of doing here

What is your view please because this same people will complain to me about too much tax and difficulties they are going through. Some Had to sleep with,Mary older or ugly women to get papers and all sort of things like that.

Why complicating your life when we all gonna die sooner or later ?

See, the idea that Nigerians end up doing better abroad is very real. Don't let all those chin gum boys doing carer job and marrying older women deceive you. Those are often the desperate ones who go illegally. Let me tell you the story of a friend I know personally. No be say I hear story.

She was working in one of the big4 accounting firms in Lagos as a secretary making about 120k per month. She could barely save enough for her rent in Lagos, though she was living good too sha. She moved to Canada via express entry some years ago and now doing a bare customer service job with a telecoms provider she has been able to buy a home (on mortgage, of course) and paying comfortably. In a month, she makes more than she made in Nigeria in a year even after you take out mortgage and utilities. She could never have thought about making that much while she was in Nigeria. Her standard of living has improved greatly on just a customer care job.

see, my friend, if you go to these countries legally and you do legitimate work, there is no reason your standard of living shouldn't be much better than you left it back in Nigeria. Don't let anyone deceive you.
