If there are so many people against these noises in church, then who are the Nigerians going to church? |
They steal and steal and steal like say they will never die. Then they still die. Rubbish leaders. This one was even worse. Stole the whole of Oyo state. Is he now carrying it to wherever he's going? |
Now, they are happy. Soon, they will start cutting their head off and they will be crying. ![]() |
When will you people learn how to do time-lapse videos ![]() |

An article made front page recently claiming to offer reasons why you should quit porn and masturbation. Naturally, I would have read this and just moved on because the arguments are typically stale, offer no new ideas, and always come from a religious viewpoint. But this was a little different, claiming to offer some scientific theories on why porn and masturbation is not good. The problem is that the opinions, for that’s what I should call them, appear grossly retarded and totally unfounded. 1. Boost in your energy level? According to the author, you should stop masturbation because stopping boosts your energy level. That is just total balderdash. There is no scientific evidence that shows that masturbation causes you to lose energy, nor does staying away from masturbation boost your energy level. Of course, releasing semen may cause partial loss of energy just like any sexual activity does. However, you quickly regain lost energy and can sooner focus on more important tasks. Scientific studies have shown repeatedly that masturbation has zero effect on your energy level. 2. Boost in your confidence and self-esteem? Again, the typical narrative is that masturbation leads to loss of self-esteem. Totally wrong. If you suffer loss of self-esteem after masturbation, you should probably consider your own views about masturbation rather than the act itself. Because of the conservative background of many Nigerians, it is not untypical for them to immediately feel guilty after masturbation or after any sexual activity for that matter. Sex is still a taboo subject in Nigeria, as is masturbation. But tying your post-nut clarity to extreme guilt is really your own fault. It’s not the fault of the act itself. There are millions of people who are incredibly confident and with huge self-esteem who masturbate daily. You think celebrities and major sportstars don’t masturbate? Think again! 3. You become more attractive and sexy? Now, this just gets weird. Brighter eyes, deeper masculine voice? Are you nuts? It would help if you cite scientific studies that have shown that brighter eyes and deeper masculine voice results from not masturbating. I just find it extremely hilarious that many Nigerians can just pull conclusions out of their rear because it sounds good to the ears. Masturbating does not make anyone less attractive. Again, a lot of attractive celebrities with deeper voice and brighter eyes masturbate. Didn’t Banky-W confess lately about masturbating? Did he have duller eyes while he was at it? Last I checked, he probably had a lot of women tripping for him even while he was masturbating… 4. You will become more productive and focused? If you are less productive because you masturbate, then you should probably focus more on your self-motivation as a person instead of on your masturbating act. Lacking self-resolve has nothing to do with masturbation. Many people live lethargically through life and have to be prodded each time to do things beneficial to themselves. Tying their lack of drive to masturbation is just total hogwash. Again, there are countless people who are productive and who masturbate, perhaps even daily. Bill O’Reilly was one of the most productive Fox News host, yet reports came out some years ago that he often talked to women about "sexual fantasies, masturbation and vibrators while sometimes seeming to pleasure himself." Now, that's wrong because he was being a jerk. Nevertheless, his "masturbation" did not stop him from being so productive. Gabriella Union, one of the most productive black American actress, talked about masturbating a lot while growing up. That didn't stop her from achieving her dreams. Many who think like the OP may not never achieve 1/10th what these people have acheived. Yet they think masturbation is their problem. Don’t let anyone deceive you. Work on your motivation, not on your ejaculation. 5. Your sexual social life improves? If you are lacking quality social life because of masturbation, then ask yourself questions about whether you know how to socialize, not about whether you should be masturbating. No, there is no way stopping masturbating suddenly improves your ability to walk up to women or to want to mingle with strangers. This author just pulled this again out of their rear. Where are your scientific evidences which prove this? There is nothing to suppose that your suddenly become more confident. If you are lacking in confidence, stopping masturbation is not suddenly going to improve that. What will improve that is working on yourself as a person. Finally, I will add that if you are struggling with guilt after masturbating, then you should stop doing it. Your guilt will probably keep eating at your soul and you will conclude that every thing negative coming to you is because you are a chronic masturbator. But that’s a wrong way to think and no one can help you with that, except maybe a psychologist. If you masturbate healthily, you are even helping your body improve. Science has shown repeatedly that there is nothing wrong with masturbation and that is, in fact, a very healthy activity. But of course, our Nigerian people, being as religious as they are, will always find everything wrong with sexual expression. Strangely though, they find nothing wrong with extreme womanizing. But seriously, in freer countries, millions of people masturbate and it takes nothing away from their lives or achievements. cc: lalasticlala, Seun

You know it's desperation times when a university is fighting tooth and nail to keep its bad decision afloat. What do they stand to gain from rewarding the terrorist with a professorship? |
angrybutsane:Why do you need to carry any food to Canada? Are you going to a camp in the bush where food is scarce? Or is there no food in Canada? I can't remember ever reading that people were starving in Canada |
solofresh:Why should I care why you are poor or why you are rich. I don't care in either case. I just care that you obey the law and not pursue anything illegally so that the country can be conducive for everyone to live in it. It's only a pity that Nigerian laws are hardly enforced. Hence, we won't be having this discussion. |
Sadly true. What everyone cares about is the end (money), not the means. And whoever comes out at the end with money is never questioned about the means to their money. |
finishedworks:I'm just learning about segregated funds. I'll look into this. |
finishedworks:Can you explain what you mean by not "guaranteed"? As in total loss? You don't have to talk about stocks or crypto. I know those already. |
ednut1:Na 50k be money for your eye. Just one of my few accounts. I sure say your papa no get half of that
|
affoncad:I'm also interested in this. I wonder where one can put $50k to steam quietly and earn good interest. Investments in Canada don't seem that high yielding. |

This country likes playing kalokalo with people's lives. The country is just a disaster away from actually blowing up. |
Lasunray01:OP, I think you got all the advice you need already. But my own is that it's a complete NO taking her abroad for now. Don't even think about it. It will certainly end in tears. |

Some were trying their best not to fall. Others were clearly delusional and were rolling in the mud. Bunch of misguided folks. |
If there hasn't been any significant event in his life to make him change for good, then the same thing will happen again. It's a mental disorder he can't escape. Don't test it. Stay where you are. Example of significant event? He became a born again Christian, for example. But even that is testy. Move on with your life. |
QuinModah:Legal age in that joke of a country? Do you realise some of your senators marry 13-year-old kids? |
This people will not stop striking. Like if they were the ones occupying that minister seat they will actually do something for education. Bunch of no-do-gooders |
