I read the appendices of LOTR- the return of the ring and also skimmed through the silmarillion to learn about the second age. I must state that the show has enough resources to become great unless Amazon doesn't own the right to many of Tolkien's writings on the second age.

Amazon can also mess things up if they choose to go "the political correct" way in such a way that political correctness would dictate the plot and direction of the show.

I feel this is the major fear of the fans of Tolkien's work. It's too early to judge anyway.

It is not requisite to adapt a show faithfully to its source materials. Historically, the best adaptations are those that take liberties and deviate slightly from the source. To some extent, Game of Thrones did it.

My point is that TRoP making changes isn't necessarily a bad thing. It is within your rights to object to the changes, but these changes may be important to the plot and may be crucial going forward.

Let us not make snap judgments. It takes time for the best wine to mature. I have no doubt that, given enough time, these changes will begin to grow on everyone, and people will completely forget their initial reservations.

Dark elves in Norse mythology have black skin. In some translation, they are called black elves.

Let's say you earn 150k a month. A typical outing in Lagos could set you back by at least 10k and that's just to meet and know each other and hang out. Now imagine doing that 3 times a week. These frivolous outings that guarantee nothing to you could pretty much be eating up all your salary if you aren't careful at all.

There are men that do get sex without spending or going on dates but these are like the top 1 percent of Nigerian men probably by looks or social status considering that the vast majority of Nigerian men are ugly (I inclusive) does dating make sense for a Nigerian man? Datings are just one part of it the extreme energy and time it takes to keep up a relationship is also something else entirely.

I have got turned down by women sometimes in the past and never had a problem becoming friends with those women.

But almost all the women I have turned down or attempted to friendzone when they attempt to date me have resulted into a sort of cold war.

The latest is a very good female friend, who attempted to pair me with her younger sister.
At first I was considering the sister and was making moves and advances, but the sister was very cocky and rather "proud" so I moved on mentally and would only check up on her occasionally.

Now the sister is in full pursuit mode, literally doing everything to get my attention and wanting us to date, I have codedly let her know I am not interested in anything more than friendship.

I never toasted this lady in question I only discussed with her elder sister about the possibility of dating her and the elder sister linked us. Now that I have moved on, the elder sister who used to be my very good friend seemed to have gotten the message and she has been rather cold towards me.
