When I met my last ex that worked in Chevron, he never felt it during that time and he never complained because hm.. this one carry aka odu. No truer words. The way the lady playing young Rhaenyra flows Mheen, loving her is just so easy, seeing how she is with Ser Criston, I wonder why he switched sides. And for Alicent she's just playing to her father's tune, I wouldn't call her his puppet yet but it's kind of close to that

Viserys told Rhaenyra to chose her husband, I wonder how she ended up marrying from House Velarion. Rhaenyra's death in the book is horrible I hope it won't be like that in the series because e go pain me.

I'd seen Matt Smith in Morbius, he was good there but I never forsaw his near-perfect depiction of Prince Daemon.

I'd assumed they'll just age up Emma D'Arcy Milly Alcock (Rhaenyra) as the series progresses. Chances are the show runners intend to milk the Dance of Dragons civil war story for at least five seasons, so the actors/ actresses will have time to "mature".

Edit: I was severely disappointed by how GOT ended so I pointedly ignored HotD production and cast news. Hence my ignorance on young/older Rhaenyra.

I did give you points on elves but then again, velyaron were described as pale now they are black. I wonder what skin tone aegon the conqueror will have now.
Harfoots, if memory serves are described as having a darker skin and dwarves can be black

I read the appendices of LOTR- the return of the ring and also skimmed through the silmarillion to learn about the second age. I must state that the show has enough resources to become great unless Amazon doesn't own the right to many of Tolkien's writings on the second age.

Amazon can also mess things up if they choose to go "the political correct" way in such a way that political correctness would dictate the plot and direction of the show.

I feel this is the major fear of the fans of Tolkien's work. It's too early to judge anyway.

It is not requisite to adapt a show faithfully to its source materials. Historically, the best adaptations are those that take liberties and deviate slightly from the source. To some extent, Game of Thrones did it.

My point is that TRoP making changes isn't necessarily a bad thing. It is within your rights to object to the changes, but these changes may be important to the plot and may be crucial going forward.

Let us not make snap judgments. It takes time for the best wine to mature. I have no doubt that, given enough time, these changes will begin to grow on everyone, and people will completely forget their initial reservations.

This is the age of colour. Not the black and white age. Anyone with sense will include as many people of colour as possible.

First and foremost, Tolkein didn't invent the concept, he merely borrowed from it. As such, dark elves can be whatever color writers want them to be.

Dark elves in Norse mythology have black skin. In some translation, they are called black elves.

I don't mind seeing white people shit on TRoP on twitter because of the diverse cast but it's embarrassing and damning to come online and see some black people shit on the show for the same reason.

People like you have come to believe wholeheartedly whatever western media feeds you to the extent that you believe that black characters don't belong in medieval fantasies. It's sad to see.

There's nowhere it's written that elves can only be strictly white, in fact, dark elves exist in many lores. In Scandinavian lore in which LotR is based on, Dark elves are among the oldest known species in existence. Ditto dwarves.
