I think the reason is that the teachings by the leaders of the Church today have gone awry. My proof is based on the fact that Christ went with the apostles everywhere during his days on earth, confirming their word. (through His power, which resulted in miracles of all kinds) The word they were preaching, were simply Christ's words and the message of Christ. They preached Jesus, God confirmed they were telling the truth, and people were being healed and set free all over the place. Today, most churches don't necessarily preach Jesus, Instead they lay more emphasis on tithe and offerings. They build dozens of expensive universities and acquire private jets. They live in luxury and show little concern to the flock God instructed them to lead. They twist and quote the scriptures to their ignorant members and extort them the more. They make all kinds of evil prophecies so their name can be heard...but instead, they end up bringing shame to God's name. They are very hot tempered and can slap you publicly should you by any means provoke them. And finally, they neglect the passage below... Matthew 6:19-21. Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 1 Like |

@op You're still a kid, you have no wife an children to keep sleepless nights over...you have very little worries about your feeding, clothing and shelter cos your parents see that as their responsibility...therefore I would suggest that you have a re-think of the decision you're about to take. From the pics you posted, its obvious that you're also a student...incase you don't know, there are thousands of youths out who didn't have the opportunity to put on that gown you find yourself in. Just confide in an elderly relative or your parents and share that burden with them. Good luck and many years ahead. |

I think I would subscribe to pastor's kun out burst on the so called MOGs.... They all seem to be practicing christianity not the commandment God asked them to keep...(Love thine neighbour as thy self) Look at it this way... If Jesus was a christian, Bodyguards would have barricaded him, the woman with the issue of blood wouldn't have got her healing. The woman in Samaria would continually thirst, Because he has ethnic preference. The merchants in church would bring tithe and returns. He would have rejected the poor widow's offering. He would have built universities his members can't afford. In his 'holiness', he won't wash the dirty feet of his disciples. For his reverence, he won't sleep in the streets. Miracles would be public spectacles, Lazarus would have paid a handful to be raised from the dead. He would have sold his soul to the devil, for the riches of the world. He would send the 'holy ghost' fire, to cremate judas, He would have used the courts, to block the pains of the cross. He wouldn't have asked God to forgive, the mob that cursed and killed him. he would never have died like a thief, to bring humanity everlasting relief. Oyedepo and co should learn from the lifestyle of Jesus...christianity isn't about buying private jets collecting tithes and building universities. Its about love... 3 Likes |
