Ilekeh:
Make I hear word
Treat him like Shekau
Nnamdi kanu and his cronies of unemployed touts have threatened the lives of Nigerians, esp Yorubas, on their cowardly instrument called radio Biafra.
Let him spend a few days in jail.....let him serve time for indulging in illegal prostitution. The man is even married sef..... Unfortunately, you can't prosecute such immoral action.

No one, man or jungle animal, should reserve the right to threaten another life or to call for genocide of a certain ethnic group.

Nnamdi Kalu is a lowlife moraphucker
You can always air your views without having to be so abrasive.

What's really killing this country is exactly what you've just displayed (tribalism)

Okechukwu, Ikenna, Okubanego caught with various kg of cocaine. Yorubas would rejoice and refer to the igbos as drug barons, chest beaters, criminals...etc.

Yemi, salami, kunle paraded for gang ra.ping and 8 year old girl...all the igbos would resort to name calling.

Truth is if we want this country to experience any form of growth, we should direct our aggression at the right people (our leaders)

The country is getting worse by the day. Our leaders (past and present) keep looting our treasury in order to enrich themselves and descendants till the 20th generation. What have we done?

We have been promised jobs by past and present governments, up till date none of such promises have been fulfilled. What have we done?

Even those who claim to be amongst the employed class are being underpaid. No thanks to their bosses who have taken advantage of the unavailability of jobs in the country to price them below their standard. What have we done?

Our roads are bad, we die like animals on daily basis. No thanks to the countless tankers and trailers that have ended the precious lives of law abiding citizens. What have we done?

We lack constant electricity, you can't run any business that requires electricity without putting a budget for fuel. Most small business has folded up as a result of the high cost of running it. We have recorded countless deaths of families as a result of inhaling generator fumes. Our leaders keep shifting the date of their regular power supply promise cos they see us as animals. What have we done?

We lack portable drinking water. Every year we record various deaths as a result of cholera and typhoid outbreak and other water borne diseases in some states. What have we done?

To make it worse, despite all the billions of dollars borrowed by the immediate past administration for the rehabilitation of our airports, one of our airports was ranked worst in the world. What have we done?

If you think typing hate comments against a particular tribe would make Nigeria a better place, then you had better wake up from your slumber.

Nigeria will only be great when we work collectively with each other towards making this country habitable for its citizens. And we make sure we hold our leaders accountable to their campaign promises and finally, we begin to see each other as fellow Nigerians and not igbos, yorubas, hausas...etc.

Good.

but I will advice prospective corpers on this forum to avoid any form of up-front payment regardless of how good the offer sounds. If you must make any form of payment, it should be in their parks when you've seen the luxurious buses.

Good luck and journey mercies to you all

redeploy me? Meaning i'll be posted 2 another state first b4 i will be redeployed?
Yes!!!

To the best of my knowledge, re-deployment on marital grounds is the surest and most guaranteed way to re-deploy. So don't be scared, you'll be away from your hubby for just 3weeks, after which you can be re-united again after your re-deployment.

Pls fellow pcms, I'm a married woman but yet to complete my reg, my hubby stays in akwa-ibom and dats where i also schooled. I heard slot 4 akwaibom is not available anymore. As a married woman, is there still hope 4 me to serve in akwaibom now dat d state has been ruled out 4 selection? Ur candid response pls.
Yes there's still a chance for you to serve in Akwa-Ibom state. You can re-deploy on marital grounds once you get to the camp.

Good luck.

CareerRe: What Is The Lowest Income A Person Living In Lagos Should Earn To Live Decently? by CrazyMan(mod):
jackpot:
650k
How many companies in lagos, banks inclusive (apart from oil companies) can pay you up to 650k a month?

Lagos is over-rated. I have a friend who left lagos some years back and moved to ogun (illogbo to be precise) he owns a petty shop. You won't believe that he has completed a 3 bedroom bunglaw as I speak to you.

Come to the east, you'll marvel at the houses built by teachers, traders, farmers...etc. Despite the fact that their monthly income is peanuts compared to what people who own such structures in lagos earn.

How many lagosians who earn up to 250k can boast of a 750corner piece of land? None if you ask me, cos the standard of living in that city is so high.

I will always tell people, you'll make it easier when you put your efforts in less densely populated states and cities. Lagos is a place where you can work for 15-20 years and despite the fair income you receive, you'll still have nothing to show for your years of labour.

Reasons are

1. Food: farming is very rare in lagos so they practically import every form of consumable agricultural produce from abroad and other states. These produce include yam, onion, meat, eggs, rice, garri...to mention but a few. When they bring them to lagos, their prices doubles, and you as a resident of the state have no option but to buy it at the hiked rate unless you want to die of starvation.

2. Transportation: I remember when I came to lagos last year for a cousins wedding. I boarded a bus from CMS to Ajah and I was asked to pay N250, the equivalent of the distance of that journey in the east and the price you'll be asked to pay will be more cheaper compared to what I paid that day.

3. Accommodation: its no longer news that to get a comfortable 2-3bedroom flat in lagos will require you budgeting 500-800k. The big question is how much is your monthly income? So many opt for face-me-I-face-you accommodation which is much cheaper.

This is just but a few of the challenges lagosians go through. So the issue isn't about your monthly income, cos even those that earn up to 400k aren't finding it easy in Lagos. May God see them through.

its not me though.
Its possible jare...my younger sister is 15 yrs studying microbiology so its no big deal
If she's studying microbiology in a federal or state university, and her admission is directly from jamb (not a diploma or pre-degree program) then you're lying cos the standard age for admission into universities in Nigeria is 16 years.

If its a private university, I wouldn't argue cos anything goes in private schools once you've got cash.

So you're telling us that you finished your secondary school at the age of 13, gained admission at the age of 14, finished your ND at 16, did your IT at 17, then acquired your HND certificate at 19...I find this story hard to believe biko.

CareerRe: Transport Staff Ask Buhari To Probe Dangote, Say He Is Underpaying For Labour by CrazyMan(mod): 10:47pm On Sep 05, 2015
otunsman:
But why will expatriates be earning more than the citizens of the country?
Because of Inferiority complex...that deadly cancer-worm has eaten up the brain of the black man to the extend that the black man hates himself and doesn't feel that anything good can come out from what he does if he doesn't involve a white skinned fellow.

The black man hates his brother, and can even kill him if it would make him gain favour with the white man.

The black man prefers to spend billions on a white man for a project that his fellow black brothers can do perfectly for a far more cheaper amount.

The black man prefers to patronize the white man's products and refer to the one's manufactured by his fellow black brothers as inferior. And even go as far as mocking people who purchases them.

I can go on and on...

Now you understand why we pay expirates 10times what we pay our citizens. And the annoying part is that most of them do practically nothing...they just sit in well air-conditioned offices, give instructions, collect their millions and head back to their various countries. Whereas our citizens who labour under the sun and rain for the sake of the company's growth are being treated like slaves.

Truly there was a country...

sometimes i wonder if ppl get sense or are just plain greedy ...........
like many hv said, minimum wage in ng is 18000 n the driver complains that he is recieving 20000 minimum , others get 25k, 30 and even 40k, whats the guarantee that if they quit and go for another job they wil be paid up to that amount? maybe he forgot that other ppl work for dangote, ...... and the last line where he said the expatriates are paid 2.5m, shey d driver fit do 1% of watin does ones dey do?
If you're employed in a government parastatal or you find yourself in a similar environment as the aggrieved drivers, and you're being given 18k-20k per month for yourself, your wife and your kids, would you still make this statement?

Driving (long distance) is a very dangerous job. You're away from your family most of the time cos you spend days on the road...you're constantly exposed to road hazards such as accidents, armed robbers, breaking down of your truck in a remote environment thereby leaving you stranded for days...etc.

If you ask me I'd say 20k a month isn't worth such risk. The pay should equal the risk.
FamilyRe: My Husband Is Killing Me Emotionaly, How Do I Deal With Him by CrazyMan(m):
angelchinny:
Okay will do jst dat. What if I fake calls and make him jealous as well cos I told him recently dat my 1st love re-sufaced n he is realy hrtbroken dat am already married cos he came bk 4 us to rekindle our love. He got realy mad n couldn't sleep dat night
I would advise that you don't follow this path...you should know that two wrongs don't make a right.

Making it look like you're trying to cheat on him when you're not, will only worsen the situation.

You already complained of how abrasive his friends are, imagine if he tells them that you've started cheating on him...they might encourage him to turn you into a punching bag. And then you'll have a cheat and a wife beater to deal with.

Also, you stated that the major reason why you can't leave is because you wouldn't be able to cope with the financial burden of you and your kids.

You just have to be independent if you want your man to respect you...you cannot keep depending on him for everything and expect him not to misbehave. There are lots of petty trading that fetches a reasonable income with very little capital. Ask your friends to put you through so that at least you'll have something you and your kids can survive on if worse comes to worse.

Finally, in the area of sex, my advice; buy condoms, and stop him from sleeping with you...if he insists, give him one of them (the condoms) and tell him point blank that you're doing this to protect yourself cos you cannot trust him anymore.

Good luck.
Jobs/Vacancies10 Common Sense Interview Tips Too Many People Flub by CrazyMan(op): 3:53pm On Aug 29, 2015
EVER BEEN GUILTY OF BREAKING ONE OF THESE SUGGESTIONS? STEP UP YOUR INTERVIEW SKILLS AND CHECK OUT THESE TIPS.

When we refer to something as being “common sense,” we usually mean that it is something we think everyone should know. Often, though, it turns out that what may seem like common sense to one person isn’t always so to someone else. For example: Veterinarians spend their days around animals, so they might consider it common knowledge that cats sleep about 18 hours per day; hence the reason your vet seems so amused when you bring Muffin in for a checkup, concerned about her inability to stay awake. Similarly, because human-resources professionals constantly screen and interview candidates, what may seem like a common-sense interview tip to them might not have crossed a job seeker’s mind. Following are “common-sense” interview tips straight from the experts’ mouths.

1. Be presentable:
Wear a suit that fits, and don’t cut corners when it comes to ironing or dry-cleaning, says Monique Honaman, CEO of leadership development company ISHR Group. “I knew one guy who was in such a rush the day of his interview that he only ironed the front of his shirt. Later, during the course of his interview day, it was hot and he was encouraged to remove his jacket and get more comfortable and it was clear that he had cut corners and only ironed the front! He was very embarrassed,” Honaman says. Also, while you should always wear deodorant, try to avoid perfumes and colognes. You never know who will be allergic or just downright averse to your scent. “A hiring manager once told me a story of how he didn’t select an incredibly well-qualified candidate for a role because she wore the same perfume as his ex-wife,” says Danielle Beauparlant Moser, a career coach with Blended Learning Team. “He said she walked in the room and his only thought was how to get her out of his office as quickly as possible.”

2. Don’t be too early:
While you should always arrive at your interview a few minutes early, try not get there more than 15 minutes before your scheduled interview time, advises Ben Yeargin, a manager at Spherion Staffing. “[Arriving early] will lead to anxiety on the candidate’s part because they have to sit and wait for an extended period of time, and it will lead to frustration on the hiring manager’s part because they will feel rushed with the project that they are trying to accomplish prior to the interview,” he says. If you find yourself getting to the building earlier than you thought, wait in your car or take a walk around the block until it’s closer to your interview time.

3. Know whom you’re meeting with:
“Know the name of the interviewer so that you can ask for that person at the receptionist’s desk,” advises Cheryl Palmer, president of Call to Career, an executive coaching firm. “It’s embarrassing when the receptionist asks, ‘Who are you here to see?’ and you can’t remember. Have this information either in your head or write yourself a note that you refer to prior to arriving in the waiting area,” Palmer says.

4. Remember: You are being interviewed as soon as you walk in the door:
“Most people would never think of the receptionist as being an interviewer, but it’s true,” Palmer says. “It’s fairly common that the receptionist will report back to the hiring manager how candidates behaved in the waiting area. Don’t be remembered as the one who ate all the candy out of the candy dish or spoke disrespectfully to the receptionist.”

5. Make proper eye contact: “One of the most obvious mistakes interviewees make is with eye contact, and it costs a lot of people a lot of jobs,” says Barry Maher, who owns a California-based career coaching firm. “Eye contact is simple,” he says. “Any given eye contact should last about five seconds at a time. And if there’s one interviewer, make eye contact with him or her about 40 to 60 percent of the time. More than 60 percent is intimidating. Less than 40 percent comes off as shifty and perhaps insincere, even dishonest.”

6. Eat before the interview: not during it
Duh? Not according to Yeargin, who has experienced interview-snacking firsthand. “I was in an interview, no more than 10 minutes into it, and I got called out for two minutes to answer a question,” he says. “When I returned, the applicant was eating some sort of granola or other snack bar. Needless to say that individual did not get a job with my company.” No matter what the candy bar ads have to say, your hunger can wait.

7. How to eat: Make sure that what you do eat beforehand does not involve onion or garlic
You want to be remembered for your professionalism and outstanding skills, not for what you ate for lunch. Advises Palmer, “Don’t eat anything that has a strong odor before the interview.”

8. Don’t look at your watch:
Block at least two hours of time for the interview, says Cindy Loftus, co-owner of Loftus O’Meara Staffing. Loftus also advises keeping your schedule relatively clear on the day of the interview, to avoid feeling the need to rush. “Don’t create distractions to your interview,” she says.

9. Tell the interviewer you are interested:
Don’t forget to tell the recruiter you want the job. “If you truly feel the position is a fit, let them know and tell them you would like to get to the next round of interviews, and be prepared to tell them why,” Loftus says.

10. Get business cards from your interviewers, and use them:
“Ask for the business cards of all of the interviewers that you have met and make sure you take a second or two to read their card,” Loftus says. This will not only be helpful in remembering each person you met with, but will make it easier to send proper thank-you notes and follow up e-mails, which should always be done within 24 hours of leaving the interview.
