I saw comments about a general day for everybody, like, for real?

It’s way more likely that everyone alive today will die before this “last day” or “judgement day” of the world. Some will die today, some will die tomorrow, some will grow old and still die without seeing this judgement day. There are so many things waiting to kill you including old age that are more likely than “a judgement day”.

So why can’t we focus more on the important things? We hurt everyone around us because we are only scared of the “last day” which we actually know that it’s eternity away. We don’t see the need to change because we feel God will judge the world at once and we feel that “Oh, I’m not the worst”, so there’s no urge to become better.

It’s like being in a class of 7.9 billion pupils, without a particular date for a final exam, but you’re never going to care since (according to your beliefs) you’re not at the bottom of the class. Christianity for example will even make you feel like you already have some advantage over 5.6 billion that aren’t Christians and other 2.3 billion who don’t attend your particular church, so why would you need to change?

If we can tell ourselves the truth that we can die at any given minute and that would be our own “judgement day”; that we’re writing this exam alone (salvation is personal), and that we can be called at any minute to write ours, and that our final grade is not going to depend on the performance of our classmates; then maybe we can become better.

And another thing again is when people talk about a paradise. Please, whoever wants to go to a paradise should do so immediately, this world isn’t so good, so why wait? Go now!

If you can’t take good care of this world that you see, what makes you think you will be able to live in a paradise that you can’t see? If you can’t nurture this world that you have, what makes you think that you deserve a paradise?

The world needs good people. If we can give less focus on a paradise that we can’t see, then maybe we can heal this world that we can see and make it the paradise. Maybe that’s the whole plan.

The same person (western media) who told you that Ukraine is winning already will also tell you that Russia is bullying Ukraine, then tell you that Russia is evil because they killed a young girl, and still tell you that Ukraine gave out 10k rifles to civilians (so they can get themselves killed for cheap sympathy); and also tell you that Russia has been isolated by sanctions and later say that the same isolated Russia is trying to escalate the war by hitting UK (a member of NATO); and you won’t even bother think critically, everything makes sense as long as they said so.

These heartless people have 500million ($$) to give out to a far away nation for war, but won’t care about homeless and hungry people in their own country, too bad they don’t report this also.

This is my first comment on the Russian-Ukrainian war Conflict, and it might just be the last. There are more pressing issues in this world. We need peace everywhere especially Nigeria and also those sovereign countries that were invaded and destroyed by the US and UK.

But I’ve met other Africans who just wish to get married, get comfortable and live, maybe send something to their siblings once in a while; but you see ‘most’ Nigerians, they hustle anyway or get married anyhow so they can have enough money to go back to Nigeria and oppress people, be a chief of their village, join a club, build a house for no reason, etc. Their favorite saying is that “any time can be 6 o’clock”.

The major problem with you and most of the comments up there is the length of the article.

According to the post, the boy was first rescued in a very bad state from his roommate’s village, where he couldn’t recognize his father (there’s a photo of him looking really lean). Who took him there?

Secondly his “lifeless” body was retrieved from the same ROMMATE’S village.

His parents can also testify that his roommate controlled his phone and ATM cards.

The writer took a while to explain his good grades in computer science; for someone who didn’t have a PC before going to school; and now started having 4 CO’s in 2 sessions. It’s unusual, it’s either he was influenced into doing drugs or something of sort - by the same roommate (since they were always together).

Someone mentioned the writer not stating the name of the village, or giving more details than he did. Well, I guess that’s all he knew. If we need any other info for investigation, it should be gotten from that roommate.

Most Nigerians are just too loud and less observant. Slow to listen and quick to speak kinda people. When they read a new paragraph, they lose what they read in the previous, because their mind is already busy looking for what to say
