Politics#revolutionnow - DSS Arrests Ex-daily Trust Editor Over Facebook Post by Cutezt(op): 9:16pm On Aug 05, 2019
Operatives of the Department of State Services have arrested Dan-Halilu, a former Politics Editor at Daily Trust newspaper, for endorsing the #RevolutionNow protest.

Dan-Halilu was picked up in his room after writing a post on his Facebook timeline, endorsing the protest.

Dan-Halilu was a staunch supporter of President Muhammadu before the 2015 elections.

The post reads:
“I feel I should share because it resonates with me. If (it) resonates with you too, please share until all oppressed people of Nigeria get the message and domesticate it. This is #not the Nigeria of my dream.

“Somebody asked me why we need a revolution now, this was my reply: The aim of the revolution is to challenge the uncommon hardship (and) why we have 16m children on the street; challenge why we have become the poverty capital of the world; challenge why we have 20 persons with corrupt cases as federal legislators and would-be ministers.

“We need to restructure the country. We need to put an end to trillions spent on electricity while we live in darkness and pay the estimated bill for electricity and meters. Why do we have huge oil reserves but our refineries are dead and we are re-importing what we exported as crude oil? It is time to ask why those in government travel abroad for medical care when they have left our hospitals dilapidated; why they send their children to school abroad when our children learn under mango trees.

“We are revolting against the continuing killings that have left 20,000 Nigerians dead while those in an office move around under state-paid security and do nothing. We are revolting against this because over a thousand Nigerians soldiers killed by Boko Haram have been secretly buried without identifiable graves, dignity or honour. $16m was purportedly spent on mosquito nets but our children die daily from malaria. $320m Abacha loot was purportedly distributed to the poor. Where is the verifiable list? N500bn was purportedly distributed to the poor as so-called Trader-Moni. Where is the verifiable list?

“…With divine grace, God gave us about 40 natural resources spread across the length and breadth of the country. No country on mother earth is as blessed! The persons destroying Nigeria in and out of government are less than 10,000. For how long will the 201 million of us be silent? Forever? It will be sheer stupidity and very unfair of us to be silent and bequeath today’s sorry Nigeria to our children. For how long shall we continue to endure bad leadership from certificate forgers, election riggers, ritualists and yahoo politicians, hoping upon hope for a better tomorrow when things get worse by the day? We are too rich to be poor. We are too blessed to be a mockery of the world!!! No!!!”
A security source, who spoke to PRNigeria in confidence, confirmed that DSS operatives had invited the former DailyTrust Editor for interrogation on why he endorsed the protest.

He said, “Contrary to the speculation going round, DSS just wants to get some necessary clarification from Mr Dan-Halilu on vital security issues. That’s all and nothing more.”

The #RevolutionNow protest held in major cities across the country today.

The protest started peacefully until police personnel begin to clampdown on the protesters by firing tear gas and randomly arresting protesters and journalists covering the protest.

Over 20 people were arrested across the country.

Ooooooooooooooh my beloved Jos, Plateau!
Jos was predominantly a peaceful place when I was there some years back due to the fact that farmer-herdsmen clashes were always at the hinterland.
Gosh! How did Jos become a haven for cultists?
I can bet that those from the south of Nigeria have imported this craziness to the Plateau.
You are very right bro, 98% of the cult members in
jos are from the east.

i am not a bigot, my family house is in the most populous igbo area in the whole of plateau state, i was born and bred there, 90% of my friends are igbo's, but i can tell you for sure that igbos brought this shit to jos.

CrimeCult Clash Leaves 1 Dead In Jos, Plateau State (photos) by Cutezt(op):
An ongoing cult clash between rival groups in Jos, Plateau state, on Thursday, has claimed the life of one man.

The man, simply identified as Innocent Prince, was allegedly shot and killed while going about his day.

The shooting which broke out between two yet-to-be-identified confraternities in Jenta Apata, Jos, caused panic as people, including businessmen and women, scampered for safety.

This is to highlight the worrisome reputation of Jos as the hub of cult related activities and killings in the whole of the middle belt as the state is constantly plagued with killings, and broad day robbery with the state government, doing nothing to combat the situation.

CrimeChurch Keyboard Player Impregnates 6 Women, Fired by Cutezt(op): 11:26am On Aug 02, 2019
It seems like keyboard playing was not the only thing done by a young man at Worship Centre, as he also impregnated six girls from the same church.

This is said to have been revealed by Mbabane Worship Centre’s Apostle Justice Dlamini to the congregation in church on Sunday.

Information gathered was to the effect that the apostle strongly denounced the member’s act.

Apostle Justice is known to be a transformational and dynamic speaker of the Word of God.

Sources privy with details of the matter said mothers of the girls separately informed the apostle that their children were impregnated by the keyboard player, who will not be named.

Victims

Suspicion was that the man was in love relationships with all the girls, though it could not be ascertained or proved how he managed to juggle all of them. It is said that the total number of the young man’s victims tallied up to six. All of the girls are said to have given birth to their babies, who are almost the same age.

Upon noting that the number of the keyboard player’s victims was increasing, a source said the apostle was infuriated and he publicly declared his stand on the matter.

After filling in the congregation about the matter, Apostle Justice is said to have further announced that the keyboard player would be relieved of his duties with immediate effect.

When sought for comment, Apostle Justice Dlamini confirmed the matter. He said when he heard about it he was too shocked and disappointed.

He said he informed the congregation about the keyboard player’s antics, and that he would no longer be participating in the church’s activities because he wanted to set an example that will act as a deterrent to others who might think of doing the same.

Banish

Even so, the apostle clarified that he did not banish the church member from attending services, because he was as entitled to attend as anyone else who wished to be part of the church.

“It is only for God to forgive sinners, so he is welcome to still congregate with us if he so wishes,” Dlamini said.

The apostle further stated that it was forbidden for Christians to behave in such a manner, especially in church.

He said Christian men should not be allowed to sleep around willy-nilly as it was a violation of human dignity.

With regards to pregnant girls from the church, Apostle Justice said they should report to him so that he can follow-up on the fathers of their unborn babies to be responsible.

Importance

For those whose partners are not from the same church, Dlamini said he would still make means to track them down and kindly make them understand the importance of their involvement in their children’s lives.

Worship Centre has had a fair share of such cases, which the apostle resolved by engaging the parties concerned, who later repented while some ended up leaving the church.

PoliticsWe Have Lifted 5 Million Nigerians Out Of Extreme Poverty - Buhari by Cutezt(op): 11:05pm On Aug 01, 2019
Pres. Buhari says the Federal Government’s introduced National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), has in three years, lifted no fewer than 5 million Nigerians out of extreme poverty.

According to NAN, he made the disclosure at the opening of the Global Youth Employment Forum of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Abuja on Thursday.

He noted that the FG had an in-depth understanding of the rapidly changing demographics and the emerging world of work.

“We note at this point that the issue of youth unemployment has assumed a global significant, and on the front burner of development discourse.

The government understands the need to focus attention on youth empowerment by creating the enabling environment for job opportunities and capacity building.

The present administration from the onset, made the investment in our people, one of the key goals of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, which is the national development blueprint from the period of 2017 to 2020.

The implementation of the plan also has the flagship programme such as the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP). It has yielded some measurable outcomes in the form of increased school enrolment and the creation of more jobs.

One of the key components of the NSIP is the N-Power programme and its sub-components has led to the creation of job opportunities in different sectors of the economy.

For example, in the past three years, the programme has yielded over 2 million direct and indirect employment opportunities and has lifted over 5 million Nigerians out of extreme poverty.

In addition to this achievement, some sectors of the economy with high propensity for massive job creation and employment generation were specifically target by the government for various forms of support.’’

The president said some programmes were also targeted at the informal sectors, improving their capacity and boosting the domestic economy, such as the import restriction the executive order on ease of doing business.
