Emperor007:He is 72 for heaven's sake. Do you expect him to start jumping around dancing shoki? How does Pastor Adeboye carry himself these days? How did Mandela carry himself as President. At that age do you really expect him to be 100% fit? |
ULSHERLAN:Leave them all to be playing God. I lost an uncle who was 53 just last week, yet I have others in their 70's who are still good to go. Only God can decide who goes first abeg. |
Jarus:Aha? Na only you waka come. You guys are just knocking them across the ball park this morning. Another classic statement. E too early o! Choi! |
modelmike7:Hahahaha..., CLASSIC! |
Ilekeh:Yet another funny comment. So Enyeama was mediocre this year? We might as well conclude that Messi was mediocre in 2013 simply because Ronaldo was named as the best player of the year. That someone did better than the other doesn't mean one's achievement is mediocre bro. |
Iykebestbt:Guy, this your question is very funny. What was Enyeama's achievements in the last one year? That's like asking what the achievements of a student who scored eight A's out of nine are simply because he was beaten to the prize by the guy who had nine straight A's. How often do you see goalkeepers making the final shortlist of any football awards across the globe? Yet Enyeama has been nominated twice this year. That in itself is a testament to how well Enyeama has done in 2014. No doubt Yaya was the better player in 2014. I would have voted for him too ahead of Enyeama. But to dismiss the goalies performance with a flippant wave of the hand is totally unfair. |

All we hear in this country is committees indicting people since 1808, yet no one is ever prosecuted. Second base abeg. |
Found out yesterday morning that my uncle had died the night before. The entire day went by like a haze. Saw this thread last night but couldn't even bring myself to comment. He was my mom's youngest sibling; the baby of the house. He was just about 15 years older than I am, so he was like a big brother; and he treated me like one. My fondest memory of him was way back in the late 80's when I was about 9, and I went to holiday with them in Ibadan (he was still living at home with grandma then, just fresh out of university). One day he decided to take me out with him to see the town. I remember grandma saying "don't stay out too late". We did anyway. He took me to my first nightclub experience. It was a jazz club and my uncle played in the band. I was mesmerized by how he handled the guitar and played on the keyboard. Even got a kiss that made me blush in my dark skin, from one of his beautiful female band mates who thought I was a cute little boy. I thought she was cute too, and she sang like an angel. It was my most memorable experience in Ibadan, even though I've been there a gazillion times.Even as an adult, you never let me pay for anything when you were there. Not even for the aso-ebi for grandma's burial. The saddest part is that grandpa (his father) died just about three months ago, and we haven't even committed him to the earth yet. It's a real double whammy. I'll miss you uncle. I'll miss you dearly. My wife cried a bucket when I broke the news to her last night. Can't imagine the grief your wife will be experiencing. We'll all miss you. Gone too soon. But God knows best. P.S: Thank you Safarigirl for this thread. I've known you on Nairaland to be a very outspoken young lady in the Sports section; especially where Keshi and the Eagles are concerned. This thread though is something else. Sorry for your loss. |
MurderX:So you're saying sleeping with your wife is like sleeping with your sister? Have you "slept" with your sister before? ![]() But on a serious note, sharing a room with your sibling, even a sister, is in no way comparable to sharing a room with your wife whom you share conjugal experiences with? I think the misconception here is thinking that marriage is all about se.x. Is the OP expecting se.x every night? |
sukkot:So after having separate rooms, what next? At what point does sharing the same living room, kitchen, doting on the same old kids become too familiar too? How long will it be before she needs to get her own apartment so that you guys can keep things fresh? You can then share romantic dinners once every week, just like when you where dating. That would be cool right. After all, 10, 20, 30, 40 maybe more years of marriage is too much familiarity for any sane person to handle? Ehn, OP? |
okoolori:He who must come to equity must come with clean hands. Imagine Julies Aghahowa advising Messi, Ronaldo and Luis Suarez to improve their goalscoring in 2015. I can relate with objective criticism, not below the belt jibes from someone who should show class. Etcetera should leave that to petty gossip bloggers. |
slap1:I tell you. I'm still searching for the punchline.
|
FKO81:Not here to support any candidate, but I always wonder if folks like you really think the Presidency will never return to the Hausa/ Fulani. As long as this union exists power will swing between North and South. PDP will most definitely field an Hausa in 2019. Politics of religion and tribe does us no good. |
I can bet 70% of the guys telling her to go and marry are still single. Pray tell, why are you still single? And don't tell me you are young. I'm sure your dad was much younger when he married your mom. Practice what you preach. |
gurunlocker:Oga " military source," since you keep photocopies, why not make that available for public scrutiny? |
KMB:Nah to set face gidigba collect the slap now. After all the caning wey person don receive free of charge for boarding school back in the days, a little remuneration would be welcome. But on a serious note, I think most folks here are just goofing around. I've been on a few political threads during the day and left many annoyed and irritated. The comments on this thread have cracked me up though. Don't think anyone is really trying to promote violence. I certainly hope not. But men, babes una harsh o. Guys dey talk about love and not slapping for money while girls just dey wire slap without hesitation. Chai, diaris Godu o! |
parrotibaba:We are used to Mou's mind games. He's been playing the same card since he first came to the Epl in 2004. He tries to put handcuffs on the refs by claiming they are partial to other teams over his. Nothing new. I respect Mou as a tactician, but these mind games have become lame. |
Funny thing is before him there was a Cristiano Ronaldo who got fouled a lot. When refs tried to protect him, coaches like Mou complained and said United was being favored by refs and that CR7 was a diver. Now Mou knows what it feels like to have such a flamboyant player in his team. |
KenJak:A country that has never won the Afcon before want to employ a coach who has won it before. How is that not progress? |
ILRNZH:*rolling on the floor @FFK* Guy e too early for 2015 o. No kii me with lafta. |
Defcon1:In the late 80's as I can remember. IBB and Abacha crippled the NRC. |
xandy84:My sentiments exactly. There are areas where I will give the President thumbs up, e.g. agriculture as well as trying to revamp the railways. But then you look at other actions and inactions and you begin to wonder what's up. Truth is, there is no Nigerian leader to date that cannot point to one capital project or the other as his achievements. Even IBB, OBJ, GMB, and the ultimate despot Abacha can point to one project or the other. Ultimately, the question is how have their dispensation improved the lot of Nigerians? Is the standard of living better? Is the economy more vibrant? Are there more opportunities for Nigerians to grow and make a better life for themselves? |
hansad:Choi, I don hear another one. Buhari prevented MKO from getting his mandate? I see. So what about the man in Minna that our own President visited and called his father? Buhari made him do it ba? Sorry oga, what year were you born? |
I don tire for all these party bashing threads sef. Where are the issue-based campaigns we were asked to engage in? Mtscheww. |
customized13:You are funny my friend. Even when Tinubu sold Ribadu out to the Pdp in the 2011 elections, ACN still delivered the Southwest. Or was it Fola Adeola that won it for them then? Is it now that they have a stronger candidate for President that they won't deliver? |
joelsky:By the way, bombs are still going off in Kano, Gombe, Borno and Yobe. Their governors are not Christians are they? |
Isiterere:This is what I keep telling folks. Ethnicity is stronger in Nigeria than religion. When a Hausa man stabs a Yoruba guy, nobody stops to ask if it was a Yoruba Muslim or Christian. They attack every Hausa man they see in sight. Even Asari Dokubo, a Muslim will die for his Christian kinsman Gej over any Northern Muslim when the die is cast. Ethnicity is what will defeat any planned islamization agenda. |
joelsky:I am not denying the fact that there are people propagating an Islamic Nigeria agenda. That has existed for as long as Nigeria has been an independent nation, if not longer. The question is how will it succeed? Nigeria is not only multi religious, it is multi tribal. The moment such Islamization agenda is labelled as an Hausa or Fulani agenda it becomes a tribal issue. The Yoruba, Igbo, I jaw, Itsekiri, Urhobo, Tiv, Jukun and every other tribe will not consider it as just a religious issue any more but an attempt at Hausa/Fulani domination. It will be the end of one United Nigeria. A united, Islamized Nigeria is not going to happen. |
joelsky:Is Buhari the only Northerner with tendencies for Islamic fundamentalism? Or do you guys assume that power will never return to the North again? I'd be glad if you can answer this objectively. |
BTFormular:Sorry Bro, I'm not even Igbo, but I still call them my brothers. I also know that they will not sit by and let someone from across the Niger force Islam on them. |
luvinhubby:Sorry Bro, but these comments make me laugh. Okay even if Mr. President wins the next election, where do you think power will return to in 2019? Where do you think PDP'S candidate is likely to come from in 2019? Will a Fulani or Hausa person never lead Nigeria again? Enough with politics of religion and tribe. |
