Rhino.5dm:Have you or any one you know being prevented from building your own cement factory? Please give us the full details ....otherwise STFU |
tunnytox: I don't hate GEJ but I hate bad governance, I hate corruption, I hate enemies of Nigeria however, if my criticism means hatred to you then wake up from your hallucination. Please can you tell me how GEJ has governed badly, point out what corruption issues you are talking about? |
tunnytox: nothing worst than being ignorant, continue to wallow in ignorance, living in fools paradise.Look at ignorant calling others ignorant....weak mind |
tunnytox: You're just being paranoid, who is talking about Buhari here? Why are you guys so obsessed about Buhari and the assertion that he was going to islamise Nigeria? How is it possible for a president in a democracy to islamise the whole country? My friend keep quiet.....in a country like America where things are running almost like a welled oiled machine...its taking almost 3 to 4 years for Obama to bring about some of the key changes he promised, here you are expecting magic wand government...even resisting the policies that will get us to the promised deliverables... |
kingoflag: No, Jonah is the crook, charlatan, and corrupt's choice. Free and fair? You wouldn't even know what that meant even if it zipped down and smacked you in the face with something stiff, long, 11inches in length with 2 balls attached to it; you're all deceitful like that.So in your own opinion, buhari/bakare won the election abi? olofofo |
kingoflag: I read all the Pro-GEJ postulations and , sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Nigeria will never be shiyyyt unless they (the followers) and their corrupt mindsets are also wiped off the face of the earth when their Politician God-Fathers are destroyed. SMH What a shame that a significant about of her citizens think like wild beasts and animals. They can't even see that they're suffering, how then can such a people be helped? But, one day na one day. . . When you back a goat into a wall It will either scale the wall or turn around and bite you. Oh, you think Goats don't bite or climb walls? Exactly! Nigeria, expect the unexpected very soon. Nothing is impossible when a hungry man decides to eat the rich man for dinner. People are tired and its obviously clear that the only way the affluent people will find out will be the hard way. Its history, baby, re-read and heed it. The writing is on the wall.See another adolf hitler in the making...no body has called for Bakare and armed chair distructive critics to be wiped of the face of the earth.... Shebi you all can see how Bakare and Buhari are slowly but surely planting the seeds of hate and violence into ignorant minds.... |
dedeike: The truth is that the circurmstances surrounding GEJ's emergence as President should convince us all that GOD has a hand in this administration. It is clear even the blind can see it. I have maximum respect for men of God but I think Bakare is fast loosing it. He is just acting like a sore looser. Chris Okotie did not act this way when he lost elections to Obj. If you must criticize, do so constructively. Which one is up up Jesus, down down Jonathan? What I expect a Man of GOD to do in this our trying times is to pray for our country and offer opinions on how we can tackle our security challenges. It would make more sense, if we hear that Bakare prayed for God to give GEJ wisdom to lead and Nigeria. Then during his sermon, he can volunteer workable solutions to our problems. That way Nigerians will take him seriously and he will gain more support. But this resort to cheap blackmail and mudslinging is unbecoming of a statesman talkless of a man of God.You would never find him doing this, at best he will join populist struggle to fight for cheaper fuel...very bad looser |
jp philips: and how far has GEJ taken his wickedness on the Nigerian people if i may ask?You and Bakare are ridding high on the way to hell fire... |
kiyosaki1: The reason is not far fetch, let the C IN C who's empowered by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and is also by law the CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER OF NIGERIA do is work of eliminating the menace called boko haram. And the last time I checked the Nigeria constitution we have what we called freedom of speech embeddedin it and we have right to correct our. elected leaders when they err.So get that into your thinning brainBakare is not responsible for criticizing Boko haram... But responsible for criticizing GEJ... Na wa ooo |
dedeike: Come on, keep quiet. Forbes ratings remains the best and its the universally acclaimed destination for such statistics.Just because they have brought out a report that exposes the lies and falsehood that the fake Ghanian Proffessor has been peddling , that is why you want to discredit FORBES. Which rating should we reckon with? SAHARA abi NAIRALAND? I took time to pick holes in the Ghanian Proffessor's tirades earlier in the week. First, he proceeded on the faulty and unfounded assumption that GEJ did not declare his assets. On twitter, I told him clearly that his paymasters did not properly brief him hence the high level ignorance that the Prof has been exhibiting on social media. I pity his students. A real prof would have taken prudent steps to verify the position of Nigerian laws on the issue of public declaration of Assets. Secondly, he goofed when he said our Agricultural revolution is only tied to distribution of palm seedlings. Every toddler in Nigeria knows the Agric minister is pursuing a reforms of fertilizer distribution in Nigeria and has succeeded in eliminating the middlemen cartel that made access to fertilizer very difficult. Beyond this, he has launched the cassava bread revolution campaign aimed at reducing our reliance on imported wheat. An Agricultural loan scheme has been floated alongside the CBN for local farmers. He is building silos across the federation and has imposed high import tariffs on importation of rice and wheats inorder to encourage local farmers. As part of the national campaign, the president on his democracy day speech directed that only locally produced food should be served in Aso rock and govt public functions. Thirdly, the fake Prof blabbed about GEJ's inability to use Maidugri Airport. If only this Prof was told by his paymaster how much renovation and rehabilitation that this govt has carried out in all the major airports in our country in just one year. Both the ABUJA, LAGOS, ENUGU, KANO AND BENIN airports are under massive reconstruction. On the flip side, the state of the runways of Accra airport is nothing to write home about. When it rains, the runway gets flooded thus leading to the crash of our cargo airplane recently. The prof should hve directed his tirades to his aviation minister, who came on air and made a useless defence of the flooded runways of ACCRA AIRPORT in this mordern age. Finally, the fake prof said our president is of unsound mind. That was the height of rascality by a prof who should know the language of diplomacy. I beg to ask those who have been supporting this retard prof, where did this man derive his allegations from? Which doctor or Health expert pronounced our President insane? What proof can he offer in support of his allegations that our president has a history of unsound mind? For all KOBJUNKIES of this world, I have one word for you.THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENCY is an institution, We should not sacrifice the integrity and dignity of that institution on the altar of hatred and beef for the present occupant. We don't know who will be president tomorrow. It may be you. It may be me. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.Where have you been all my nairaland life.......you are just too much abeg |
Ngwakwe: Mr Man,Socialism breeds laziness, dull brain, lack of vision and so on. That explains alot about Nigeria. |
1forall: 100% privatization. This is the only way forward, everywhere you look, government agencies are causes for complaints, but nigerians naturally refuse to buy the idea of govt letting go of this agencies....na wa ooooo.... We would rather spend the time complaining that a government agency is not running well than to insist that it be privatised.... |
Its a lot cheaper to provide common services for people in in cities, roads, water, telecommunications, transport services etc it makes a lot of sense.... Even though we are gradually moving away from rural areas to urban areas, most of us still refuse to openly accept it...we still believe rigidly in ties to our rural areas...well I feel this may have to do with citizinship and settler issues that are still prevalant on nigeria, of which the root cause in in governments monthly alllocation of funds... Note the responsibility for delopment of cities in nigeria is the responsibility of states and not the federal government |
omosexy1: @mustpin I would have loved to engage you too. When you pass the batton to a sprinter to run, he/she doesnt run a half way and stop, the sprinter goes all the way to the finish line and complete the race. Fashola is implementing half-way projects in Lagos and I dont know who he is leaving them for. What was the project or objective - to turn lagos into a mega city. He should be commended for the oshodi park renovation, also the beautification of Lagos Island. I observe that Fashola concentrates on areas where he gets more tax revenue from, well the idea is good but don't neglect other areas. The jobs most of the governors in nigerian do including Fashola are the work of local government chairmen and they make noise on top of it. In developed cities, Local govt are responsible for road construction and maintenance, public education administration, health and safety e.t.c but in nigerian local government are circus centres for sharing state allocation. Fashola has lost the zeal and energy he brought during his first tenure. If tax revenue is his problem has he consulted tax specialist to brainstorm on how taxable individuals in lagos would pay their taxes. Fashola can actually put bus drivers out of business through competition. I thought that was the game plan when BRT buses were introduced, but as usual another half-way project. He should introduce a viable system of Governance and let other states copy him, let our local government be more responsible, let them be empowered. These are not theories but models that are working in develop countries, these are best practices. He also should not bear the burden alone, free up some aspect of social infrastructure for private business men to come in and provide quality services to the public. Like the BRT Fashola should have given it to Private companies who will bring in their money, procure buses that maybe enough for lagosians and compete strongly against the mad bus drivers in lagos. Okadas should not be plying on the street of lagos, they are dangerous. So much sence in what you have said so far...and it applies to most, if not all states in this country, if we had just 10% of nigerians reasoning like this, the country would be much better... instead we have people attacking him and making excuses why we as a country cannot adopt a structured way of living our lives... Omosexy you made my day with your write ups.... |
Tony Spike: I've read all the responses so far and I must say that I'm not disappointed. Somebody said I just registered In 2012, does that person know that we have guest users on Nairaland? Does he know exactly when I joined NL?If you are talking about Hitler appologist...that analogy would be prefectly suited for GEN buhari.. |
Mandelaguy: I have been called a govt agent severally, it is a game of absurdity because I personally want this country to succeed,I desperately wish her to achieve the giant status she has been carrying like a burden since he independence but has not been able to achieve,I have taken keen interest in the politics of this nation, and am solely interested in showcasing the positives and x-raying the negatives. I want to see this nation work, not by hurling insults, accusations and counter accusations. I became angry when I saw the vebal insults and war people are waging against GEJ, not putting into perspective the environment he inherited to work in. In as long a time as I can remember, we have not had a better president, talk of one contending with all these forces. I was labelled and even banned because I stand on what I believe. There is freedom of speech and association in this country and the truth is that most of us will never sell our conscience and personally, when I believe in a cause, I take my time to analyse before I follow. I AM NOT PAID BY ANYONE and not afraid to maintain my stand because I know how difficult it must be for this guy trying to set us on a new path (GEJ) and am willing to give him time. The haters are at it because their turbines sucking the economy has been shut down, and this is their way of retaliating(and hence misleading their gullible followers). Trail blazers,be it inventors or new school has always met stiff opposition and GEJ will nt meet a different reaction. I rest my case!Nicely said... I once replied someone on NL, that the reason I defend GEJ blindly is because he has choosen to attack the president blindly, I told the guy that whenever he decides to be reasonable in critisizing, then we would have a sensible exchange.. But that tsaid..there are much fundamental reasons why GEJ seams to be attacked for the sake of attack... |
Apart from the fact that this videos were poorly shot by someone standing/sitting infront of a TV with a camera, whats the hulabalo about? Man you guys keep hitting new lows on a daily basis now... I believe GEJ answered his critics well in that media chat...I would score him 90%. A+ |
ahidjo: In a country, where 99% are blind. In a country where 99% can not make intelligent arguement devoid of sentiments and emotions. In a country where the arguements of about 99% can not withstand intellectual and logical scrutiny, the one-eyed man will continue to be the king. Nigeria will continue to be a joke as long as we continue to allow misfits to continue to rule. Is the end to these in sight? definitely not. At least not with the tacit support of some proudly ignorant folks here who are mostly paid to support mediocrity. Yes it is said that "he that settles for lowered standards celebrates mediocrity". That is the situation of Nigeria today. Some support mediocrity because of lack of knowledge. Others support it because of the financial gains the reap from such unholy support. The media chat today, was not dissappointing to me after the last disgraceful media chat where the president was shamelessly defending oil thieves. Let me say that no amount of preaching, sermonizing or inaction can change any nation, Nigeria in particular. Yes Jonathan was right to order investigations but the crucial part of the issue is ensuring that no crime goes unpunished. At least that is how decent countries operate. Nigeria, to my estimation has the highest number of financial fraudstars in both the private and public circus at least as we read in the papers everyday yet non (at least the big ones) are going to jail. None since 1999. This country will never move forward until we set up an enquiry to look into how all monies appropriated since 1999 till date at all levels-local to federal, were used and all those found to have stolen the money made to pay back and sent to jail. Anything short of that will amount to continued celebration of incompetence and mediocrity. You can see that this is a tall task for our incompetent leaders and their supporters most of whom are paid to attack anyone that opposes Jonathan's methods. Let me also say that I have come to this conclusion that the biggest mistake we ever made as a nation was allowing the whiteman leave on October 1, 1960. Had they continued to stay, say till 1990, Nigeria would have continued to maintain the giant of Africa status. I took this conclusion after waiting patiently to see things change since 1999. I will also love to be proved wrong that a black man especially the Nigerian type can lead intelligently in the mist of largely ignorant, mischievous and docile citizenry. Paid agents over to youThere is actually no meaningful point in this plenty write up... Same old complaints ....abeg move on.... |
dedeike: kobojunkie, just admit that you were more interested in spreading falsehood on Nairaland than paying attention to the presidents speech during the chat. The question was, Mr. President why didn't you declare your assets publicly. the president now responded that he always had issues with declaring his assets publicly because it was beyond what the law says. He says the one he declared publicly as VP wasn't so long before he took over as acting president. Stop spreading your ignorance further. Ask anybody you know in authority, Assets declaration forms must be filled before any swearing in ceremony is performed. It's a precondition that must be fulfilled. Why do you think the opposition in the House has kept quiet over it? Ordinarily, failure to declare assets is an impeachable offence because it violates the constitution so the ACN or CPC in the National Assembly would hve headed for Gej's neck if he had breached it. But that's not the case. GEJ declared his assets in the frm but it is his principle not to make it public and it's extra constitutional to do soThe woman or man, kobojunkie, will never admit she is wrong, as long as its GEJ. |
Akainzo: None of those situations includes amending an existing law validly passed by the legislature of the Federal Republic of Nigeria! Renaming Unilag can ONLY be done by an act duly passed by the National Assembly amending the University of Lagos Act 62 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and not by a pronouncement of GEJ.Bros did you see this part of my post? DaLover: There are certain situations where the president can make a public pronouncement before sending it to senate to ratify.... |
Ileke-IdI:The guy spoke publicly very well..as a proud ijaw man....he doesn't have to speck like, or imitate anybody else... that's left for people with inferiority complex issues |
dedeike: kobojunkie, you re a chronic liar. Gej never gave a timeline to power today. Stop hating and distorting facts. He also did not avoid giving answers posed to him on power. What he said clearly was that the Minister of power had given a detailed account of activities in the power sector during the ministerial platform series. So he may not want to contradict him but that he will offer a summary. He now went ahead to talk about the revival of NIPP and how he is using that to beef up generation to the national grid. He hinted that during his trip to Brasil, he was able to attract a foremost Brasilian Electricity company to come and invest in Nigeria's power sector. What don't you understand about this. Or you just want to deliberately misinform people on Nairaland?the woman is yet to say what her real problem is...I am pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with Nigerians growth |
bayooooooo: You can't break a law before obeying it! It's illogical. Why didn't he assume presidential powers before taking oath of office? Why didn't he appoint Ministers before approval by NASS? The procedure for declaring state of emergency is quite different from naming an institution of government. His understanding of rule of law in that instance was at best petty. He should have acknowledged his mistake rather than justified illegality. There are certain situations where the president can make a public pronouncement before sending it to senate to ratify.... He just signed the uniuyo into existance...Gowon gave bakassi to camaroon.... better yet...if the senate rejects it....then the unilag name reverts.... But why is your bad belle so much for this gentle man who has become our presido? |
Wow, I tot everybody wanted to watch the match..... Fake ldiots all over the place |
See Maupe nor fit talk again!!! GEJ gave a very good account of himself...the poster above me is seriously looking for faults... Try his hat or his Ijaw accent |
Dont be surprised that the same nonentities who said the media chat has nothing to offer will gather here on nairaland tomorrow to comment on something GEJ said at the chat!! |
Some children stubborn sha!! |
Kobojunkie: Like I saidAnd I say, in a politically charged atmosphere like we have now, you don't invite Buhari for questioning without hard evidence.... some words that readily come to mind are strategic thinking and wider implications.... Better to get him with hard irrefutable evidence, tru carefull surveillance or a sting operation.. |
Joey82: I seriously doubt if GEJ prepared himself for the position he is handling,Just imagin if GEJ had used the tactics to eliminate Tinubu...who would be the first out of the blocks to tell us how we are operating a democracy, despite the known strong links between the saudi royal family and Osama bin laden...the american government did not go about harrassing members of the royal family the same way they would invite the average arabian on the streets for questioning.... for every action you take, always consider the wider implications. |
Kobojunkie: You don't need evidence to bring someone in for questioning. He was not to be arrested but questioned. Two different things.Chineke me!! see wetin human being dey talk..Ok, I go just assume say this post mistakenly enter this thread, if not read, read what a fellow poster using his brains posted.. dedeike: Post sack blues by Azazi ft Bello Haliru. You want Gej to arrest a former Head of state abi? Pls when ever they want to effect such arrest on Buhari, they should tell me so that I will pack my bags and head to my village. It's not as if Gej cannot arrest Buhari but he acted very right to avoid such arrest. Let me tell you the likely consequences of such arrest. 1. Buhari himself will never co operate with the security agencies so the real aim of extracting information from him will be defeated. 2. While he's in detention, the opposition in Nigeria led by Tunde Bakare will mount a groundbreaking Occupy protests in Lagos and so many haters are beckoning for such opportunity to come so that they will rubbish Gej. 3. ACN and CPC will heavily poiticise the issue as a deliberate witchunting of the opposition. 4.The entire North West will explode in protests and thus draw more support for Boko Haram. 5. Buhari will come out from the detention and earn more popularity overnight. 6. Renouned Gej haters on Nairaland will now have more ammunition to attack the president as being clueless and vindictive against his opponent. Abeg I no follow. Now I even know why Azazi was sacked. |
soe: Guyz...azazi is drunk...he said bokoharam is pdp and now says he wanted to invite buhari OF CPC OOO...hmmm...but what i don't grab is why some1 who served last as personal security aide to IBB before abacha sacked him, wud b appointed as N.S.A...now i see whose interest GEJ just has to cover...wao....i now believe azazi meant IBB instead of BUHARI...i dey look oLol |
mko abiola: Hw can Azazi called d president weak n soft cos he was fired.lolThat how life is... the president is strong when you are in power but weak when you are sacked.. |
