No that somali woman supports al qaeda and she says 911 was bla bla bla and she hates the only democracy in the middle ehast

But here comes the hypocrisy of American democracy and freedom of speech. Is the woman in question not supposed to air her opinion as hypocritically guaranteed in the American constitution? I think the Americans often say they tolerate other people's opinions, why is the woman being persecuted for saying Isreal is not a democracy for practising apatheid against the Palestinians? A as black man will you be happy if the apartheid in South Africa has not ended? Just as you criticize other people for their opinions and beliefs ,so also other people will criticize you for your opinion and belief. You have to show tolerance.

Blessed be presidents like Donald Trump, Bashar Assad, Al-Sisi, etc who take strong decisions to keep their country standing. Unlike Buhari whose balls are too saggy to make a good decision. If Trump was president, this Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram shît would have been solved by now. Like in the US they are bloody immigrants causing problems wher they don't belong too.

Please can you tell me why USA has not been able to solve its gun violence problem which claims an average of 15000 lives every year? I just want a dispassionate answer for you.

Tinubu is as 2-faced and slimy as it gets...

It's unfortunate that its now that Afenifere and Yoruba Youths are beginning to see the conflict of interest in Tinubu's every move

My brother there is nothing like afenifere or Yoruba youths. They are just people seeking recognition and wealth in the name of ethnicity. Because they can't compete politically they have decided to hide under the umbrella of ethnicity to deceive those who are gullible. This is what happens in a backward country practising democracy where people cannot be organized on the basis of ideology.Nigerians are too poorly educated to be organized on modern ideas needed to make the transition to modernity, which is why we are seeing the proliferation of so called ethnic groups in all parts of the country since the financiers of those groups understand perfectly that our primary loyalties are tied to our different religions and tribes. Nigerians are too tribal and religious for any modern ideas to work.

Nigeria is poor not only because of bad leadership but most importantly because of low IQ. Just imagine what will happen when the low IQ youngsters on this thread becomes of age? Our inability to think and rationalize issues are our biggest problems. No nation develops with a high percentage of low IQ people.

What you should know is that china achieved such growth rates because of foreign capital .Foreign capital
in such large amounts thatt the u.s and Western European countries never had access to.

U should also know that the Western world had the advantages of colonizing much of the world, using in the process the raw materials found in those countries for their development. U should remember that slave labor became the foundation of American economy that little credit is given in the evolution of American industrial development. Western imperialism subjugated colonial economies to the exclusive benefits of the colonial powers .All these, in addition to settling millions of Europeans in New world, provided the early impetus for massive capital accumulation that could be described, in modern language, as foreign capital investments for Europe. For more understanding of this read Walter Rodney and Andre Gunder Frank books.

Nigeria can actually do much better than China but the government must allow the best of economists do their job and not second guess them like Buhari is wont to do.

As someone said, if Buhari treated the economy the way he attended to his health, the economy will be humming. He goes overseas for the best treatment available and not dictating to his doctors what to do.

U must be a joker to have said Nigeria can do much better than China. How on earth do you compare a country of more than 5 thousands years of history with a country that only began to record its history with the coming of the Europeans?China is one of the world's greatest civilizations with notable inventions like printing, paper, fireworks, compass, gunpowder and porcelain.Civil service and imperial examinations into it were first introduced in China in about 1500 years ago before it was copied by the Europeans even almost a thousand years after its introduction in China. Please try read more about China before coming online to say anything. There is absolutely no way Nigeria can do much better than China that was unified more than 2000 years ago.

The U.s grows at that rate because it is a developed country , you can't compare it with china ,when you are playing catch-up you have faster economic growth rates. Developed countries hardly have more than 4 percent growth r
ate.

China growth rate is slowing because it is gradually becoming a developed country. When China was really doing the catch up, it grew 12 per cent annually which neither the USA nor any western European countries could do when they were developing countries. In 1978 the GDP of China was a mere 223 million dollars, forty years later in 2017 China GDP became the world second largest at 14 trillion dollars, seven times bigger than Africa's GDP. This is a spectacular achievement for China and the rest of the world. All we need do in Africa is to learn from China's economic miracle so that we too can move our people out poverty.

Nigerians are a difficult people to educate. U want to go America but you forget that about one thousand to three blacks are killed annually in America in racially motivated killings. About three month ago armed robbers came to Idoani and killed people but you did not condemn the killers because it serves no political purpose.Evans ,the notorious killer, has been in prison for some time without having being charged and you didn't criticize that because it serves no political purpose. But when attacks are linked to herdsmen u begin to take on the government as though the government ordered the herdsmen to kill innocent Nigerians. Why do u always sympathize with killings linked to herdsmen and those not linked to herdsmen?Have you not lost humanity by being uncessary political? Will you feel the same empathy for killings not linked to herdsmen?

Politics / Re: Why Do Igbos Hate Buhari? - Mustapha Gembu, Hausa Activist by Damod88: 6:21pm On Jul 13, 2019
The hatred has no basis whatsoever. The politicians who felt their interests would be eroded following Buhari's victory began to brainwash the ignorant Igbo masses to hate Buhari. Even IPOB was created for the purpose of fighting Buhari and not for the So-called Biafra's independence, because if the purpose of IPOB was to fight for independence they should have done that under Jonathan's regime for which they had the greatest chance of victory. The unfortunate thing is that the hatred Igbo have for Buhari does nothing because it has not stopped him from becoming the president .

Car Talk / Re: 'Lion Ozumba 551' UNN Makes Electric Car (Photos) by Damod88: 3:31pm On Jul 09, 2019
Nigeria wants to show off in a world that doesn't notice whether or not it exists. Trying to develop electric cars, which of course we don't even have the technology, is a pure waste of time. What I think we should do first is to develop our steel industry without which we cannot do any meaningful manufacturing. The preconditions for industrial development are steel industry, skill manpower, R&D, good infrastructure, shrew entrepreneurs, foreign companies and countries who are willing and ready to transfer the necessary technogies, availabl markets and an advanced education system. Unfortunately, all these pre-conditions are lacking in Nigeria which, of course, will continue to make industrial development a daunting task.

We have several institutions doing one fabrication or the other like the one of the UNN without anything coming out it. I could remember when I gained admission into the federal polytechnic Ado Ekiti, I saw a similar car built by the school's engineering faculty , so this is not the first time a vehicle will be developed by a Nigerian school.

For those ignorant fools who are trying to read a tribal meaning to it, I think they should understand that the vehicle was designed by Nigerian students in a Nigerian university drawing its students from all the states of the federation and not just from a particular ethnic group. Even my eldest brother graduated from that university with the overall best result in his set.

What you are more likely to see is the vehicle being ended up in the University's museum,if at all they have one. We don't have the basis for even low end manufacturing let alone high end manufacturing. We still need to create the basis before we begin to impress the world that doesn't notice us. We need to have a disciplined work force, a strong and stable government that can drive up investments in key sectors of the economy, a well fed population, highest priority being given to R&D and technical education. But all these require huge amount of money and investments.

Education / Re: Buhari’s Education Policy Anti-masses, Says ASUU by Damod88: 7:14am On Jul 08, 2019
In five or six years time, ASUU will issue the same release attacking government for not funding education just as they have been doing even before I was born and those poorly educated Nigerian youths who are joining ASUU to condemn the Buhari's administration for not doing anything in education, will either keep mute or find reasons to support the government because the next president might be a person from their area. You see even if the government decides to give every single dollar its earns from oil to ASUU nothing will come out of it. The University system is just as corrupt as any other system in the country. Why don't you people ask how each of the universities spends the money generated from sales of various forms, pre-degree and part-time programmes? What I have noticed in Nigerians is that so many of them are just to irrational to be called human beings.

[quote author=nokatakata post=80025201]That's why they will do anything to hold on to power. Take that power away from them and it'll look like you have taken oxygen away from them.
Most of their few educated depend only of government jobs and appointment and they are able to get it based on nepotism and not qualification.

Their elites depend on politics to acquire wealth. only few of them are genuinely honest , especially their farmers.
It's funny for anybody to say nigeria is developing. The whole of Nigeria is backward. The north is only more backward and that's due to high level of illiteracy. Politicians intentionally want the masses to be poor so that they can continue to take advantage of their poverty.

The northern elites should stop talking and take actions. control their population, send their children to school and stop depending always on govt jobs and free money. Every nigerian masses should also wake up and stop deceiving themselves thinking that the country is developing. Nigeria is very backward as a whole and until we begin to tackle these politicians, things won't change.

I agree with you that Nigerians are deceiving themselves that Nigeria is developing. If Nigerians should know how extremely backward their country is they will feel very shameful. Where I disagree with you is about what you said regarding government jobs. To be sincere the same nepotism being practiced in the north is the same other regions practise.Nigerians have the same mindsets in almost everything.
Religion / Re: Biodun Fatoyinbo Was Rusticated At UNILORIN Over Cultism - Aliu Bolakale by Damod88: 3:51pm On Jul 06, 2019
Nigerians are blinded by religion to the extent that they have lost rationality. It doesn't matter whether the man had repented and become a pastor, his past life is still very important in the rape investigation. You should remember that the court which will decide the case is a secular institution and not spiritual. If the investigation reveals that he was indeed a cultist, that might be a vital piece of evidence in the court of law. However, it might not actually be enough to prove that he is indeed guilty,in any case it constitutes a strong evidence against the pastor.

What Nigerians should understand is that court judgements are not based on emotions and metaphysical explanations. The modern court system , also called legal positivism, works on evidence. The court will not entertain any religious or spiritual claims which are not verifiable. In court there is not going to be a plea to the effect that because the pastor is now a man of God that his past cannot influence his current behaviour. The court works on evidence and strong arguments.

For those who are arguing that the past doesn't matter once a person has repented of it. Surely it might not matter in the spiritual world but it does matter in the secular world .If the past does not matter, then companies and organizations will not be asking the institutions their potential new recruits attended to attest to their characters. If not for our backwardness many of the criminals representing us today would not be representing us. In civilized societies potential leaders are screened before they are allowed to contest or serve in government or any organizations.Singapore even does psychological test to determine a person psychological ability for a particular task. But here in Nigeria anybody can become anything due to corruption and backwardness.

Politics / Re: Igbo Youths Declare Intention To Commence Cattle Rearing by Damod88: 8:23am On Jul 06, 2019
I wonder if Nigerians actually have common sense. They sometimes make references to places they have not been as though things work perfectly in those places. You are still likely to find pastoral ethnic groups in almost all the countries of the world, including the developed ones, doing the herding thing. But the difference is that some of these countries have enough grazing land due to rapid urbanization. For instance, Argentina has the pampas which happens to be one of the largest open grasslands in the world ,which was why the country was able to develop its meat and dairy industries. This is also the situation in leading exporters of diary products like New Zealand and Australia. These countries have the advantages of large uninhabited land and weather favourable for the cultivation of alfalfa, the best quality grass for feeding cattle.

No matter the statement from a politically motivated ethnic group, cattle business will still remain the business of the Fulanis for many reasons. The Fulanis have been doing the business for centuries and have in the process become accustomed to the hardships and the techniques required in cattle rearing that it is unimaginable any other tribe will be able to compete with except a Superior technique is introduced. So the statement by the Igbo youths is just to seek attention. Just imagine the survival rate of their cows despite having little or no scientific knowledge. What this means is that they have this traditional techniques of animal husbandry that you and I not born into pastoral culture do not have.

For those who are saying people should go into cattle business are saying it just for the sake of saying it. I Hope they understand it is not a business you can just start like, for instance, opening a shop. It is a business that is demanding in terms of attention and knowledge. It might not be rochet science, but, definitely ,it has its own challenges. It requires research into the varieties of cattle suitable to a given climate zone and also the best quality grass to feed the cows that will be largely immobile. These are things that an average person, not born into pastoral culture and also of little education, will find difficult.

For the Fulanis to be displaced, we need real investors .However, Nigerian business people are not likely to be interested because it takes much longer for any investments in diary business to yield returns. This is in addition to the risks involved because here we are dealing with life. Nigerian business people are more interested in oil, import and politics than in any business which has to do with production because the returns on these businesses are quicker and huge. For those who are saying the Fulanis are going to be put out of business are either ignorant or don't know what they are saying. However, there will be some individuals having few cows in their gardens as they presently do in the south, but they will still not be enough to reduce the monopoly of the fulanis.

The final solution to the persistent herder-farmer crisis will come when Nigeria becomes fully industrialized.Industrialization will create many opportunities for the people, including the Fulanis, leading to many traditional practices and businesses being given up for modern living. Bouyed by the hope of finding better jobs in cities, the fulanis and other ethnic groups will prefer to give up their traditional Businesses for a much better life. This will encourage large scale livestock agriculture that we often see in advanced countries. But this is not going to happen until we become industrialized and advanced in knowledge.

No matter the level of education of a Nigerian citizen, the fact that she or he is a Nigerian means she or he must be stupid. When citizens of serious nations are busy finding solutions to human problems through scientific research we are here discussing rubbish in the name of politics. This was the rubbish our forefathers were doing that they had not time for empirical knowledge leading to them being enslaved and colonized by the British. We are yet to recover from the indignity and humiliation that foreign domination brought upon us only to have started the same stupidity that will eventually lead to another enslavement.

Some Nigerians do talk as though they are fools. About four to five years ago an incident happened in Anambra state involving some Chinese Nationals working for Innoson motors. these Chinese nationals were kidnapped by gunmen ,taken into the bush and had one of them killed just because the ransoms the gunmen demanded were not met. Several other foreign nationals have also been victims of abduction and torture in Nigeria over the past ten years. I am not in anyway supporting what happened to the Nigerian who died, but we should not outrightly condemn others when they treat us badly because we sometimes do the same. Just imagine the young Chinese who was working to help a local auto company stand only to have his life cut short by Nigerians.

Politics / Re: Buhari Regime Looted N26.7 Trillion, $322 Million, N500 Billion, PDP Alleges by Damod88: 12:37pm On Jul 03, 2019
Kola is suffering from symptoms of elections defeat. As a matter of fact , if not in Nigeria where anything goes, he(kola) should not have been made PDP's spokeperson in the first place because he seems not to be well grounded in the art of rhetorics.

Such allegations are just to bogus to be believable even if we believe that there is corruption in Buhari's government. What is even more annoying is his suggestion that the national assembly members, who are also in government to make money, should investigate the largely unstantiated allegations.Perhaps Kola and his PDP people think Nigerian society is largely made up of fools who believe everything coming from their foolish party.

Even in the heydays of Jonathan's government known famously for its corruption, we never heard of that amount of money being looted. If PDP has nothing to say the party should keep quiet and stop spreading falsehood in the name of nonsense opposition that doesn't exist.

It is a known fact that all political parties in Nigeria are the same .People go into politics in Nigeria to make money because politics offers the quickest route to wealth. Take money away from Nigerian politics and notice how disinterested people will become. So it is money which motivates people to go into politics. For that reason, Nigeria will continue to remained backward.

Religion / Re: Rape: Prophet T.B Joshua Raped Me, Trapped Me In Synagogue For 14 Years – Woman by Damod88: 4:18pm On Jul 01, 2019
There is no logic in dismissing the woman's allegations even before investigation has been launched into it. Our problem in Nigeria as far as religion is concerned is that we tend to hold in awe pastors and religious leaders just because we wrongly believe doing otherwise will bring about the wrath of God. These people are human beings and are just as fallible as anybody, so the myth that they are holy should be discarded.

If the woman in question has any evidence to back up her claims, she should come forward with it. Proper investigation should be done and if the accused is found guilty, the law should take its due course. And if the allegation is found not to have any merit, the law should also take its due course as regards the accuser.

The suggestion that the T. B. Joshua was innocent is at best premature when one does not have enough evidence. The allegations should not just be dismissed just because T. B. Joshua is popular, powerful and influential. If we succumb to these factors, as we often do in Nigeria, we are most likely to be victims of our own doing.

Because of social stigma which sometimes discourage women from speaking up when raped, million of Nigerian women are victims of rape. It only takes courage and support for women to come out and say they were raped. I Hope the outcome of all these cases will empower women and children to become more protected.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Job Loss, Unemployment Rate Reached 23.1% In June — Expert by Damod88: 12:51pm On Jul 01, 2019
The official unemployment rate in South Africa is 27.8%.This is an economy said to be the most advanced in the continent. Many people think creating jobs in backward country like Nigeria is as easy as ABC. If you keep believing what people are saying about jobs, you will just be living in a fool's paradise.

Jobs creation has to with huge investments in science and technology, human capital, infrastructures and research and development. Of course, for now, we don't have these investments in place. Our infrastructures are in terrible shape, requiring billions of naira of investments to begin with. We have a terrible educational system that churns illiterates as graduates. We have to restructure our education in such a way that greater emphasis is given to problem solving instead of the reading and writing thing that we do. To fix this, we also need billions of naira in investments.

There is this illusion on the part of educated Nigerians who have had the privilege of studying abroad that the government has to stop intervening in the economic for greater private sector participation. This is an illusion because it contradicts the obvious trajectory of economic development in places like Korea,China,Taiwa and Japan. What these countries did was ,in their early stages of development, to have a strong government involvement in enterprises to support both foreign and private investments. This approach paid off with government in China having a massive SOEs (state owned Enterprises),accounting for a much higher proportion of jobs created in China. For example companies such as Haier, Gree, JAC motors, JMC motors, Hiense and several other large companies are state owned in China. How many companies does Nigerian government have to provide employment?

Development is something that doesn't happen our night. Our leaders had not the foresight to kick proper development in the 70s and 80s when Asian tigers were busy attracting foreign investiments when European and American companies began to outsource. This was the period that marked the begining of globalization. Asian countries were smart enough to get involved in it, while Africa, suffering from the yoke of both colonial and military rule, was left out. Now, the world economic climate has changed fundamentally. With rising trade protectionism in America and Europe, it is highly unlikely that the trade benefits of the 70s will ever be seen.

Human capital development is crucial for development.Industrialisation requires highly skilled individuals especially in science related fields.Nigeria does not have sufficiently skilled and disciplined work force to attract foreign investments in these areas. How can a country industrialize and create jobs when more than 70% of the population is chronically deficient in science and technology skills? It cannot just happen. This is the reason we end up, after graduation, in government ministries even if we have studied engineering courses in schools. Our education has not changed from the time of foreign rule. Then the training Nigerians received was to make them clerks in colonial administration. This pattern has continued till today.

Nigeria, and for that matter all African countries, will continue to experience rising unemployment rates just because our share of global manufacturing is just too low. Just imagine African share of global manufacturing at 1% with 1.2 billion people. This is ridiculous when compared with South Korea's share with 50 Million people. Africa is economically disadvantaged for any meaningful jobs creation efforts to take place. In this regards,we will continue to be poor unless and until we increase significantly our share of manufacturing.

I have heard news of people sleeping with their goats and sheep. Should we on that basis stop eating goats' meat because some individuals slept with their goats? There is no reason he should be eating goat's meat when there are several cases of people sleeping with goats. As for Fulani not eating cow's meat, this is a liar. Some do actually eat cow's meat. I have some of them as friends years back and they used to buy meat from me at a restaurant I was in charge of then. You see, listening to online news sometimes makes you become detached from reality, and it may have the effect of making you become a bigot if care is not taken. The likes of FFK are doing buhari bashing because they are being paid for it. In addition to this monetary reward, they also hope to become Ministers should they succeed in defeating the government in elections. For those of you who seem to believe in this seemingly but merely political tug of war, I only pit your ignorance. Politicians are not reliable people and they should not be taken seriously.
