Education / Re: Eight (8) Ways To Identify Carry Over Student On Campus by Damsman10(m): 11:35pm On Aug 28, 2016
Guru9ja:
Students are scared when checking their results in order not to be a victim of carry over grade which apart from the burden they will bear for the next level, insult from their juniors is enough to ruin their reputation.
It is however obvious to spot them in campus which is the aim of this article and let's take a look on ways to identify such students.

Insult lecturers on regular basis

Carry over students view both good and bad lecturers as enemies by abusing and bashing them from all angles. Most times they are the ones who sit at the back of auditorium during lecture period causing distraction and blaming lecturers for their misfortunes.

Struggled and stressed looks

This feature is obvious when you see carry over students. Owing to the fact that life is not fair to them on campus, they look worried and tattered due to too much thinking, long lectures period and less sleeping hours.

Violence flow in their blood

The life of a carry over student is so frustrating that anything can steer up anger in their life. Due to the precipitated bitterness in their blood, they become captain during "aluta protest" along side with their bedevilled colleagues.

Unfriendly attitude

Larger percentage of carry over students possess introvert attitude that makes it difficult for them to socialise. Suggesting any form of entertainment to cool their nerves is like mission impossible for them.

Single relationship status

It's difficult to see a carry over student in a relationship which is more synonymous to guys. If eventually he steps up his game to woo a lady, she will ridicule, condemn and bash the hell out of his life.

Bond with efikos and giraffe at exam hall

This is very common at exam hall as carry over students form covalent bond with intelligent students to save them from academic embarrassment. Also they frequently giraffe during exam using angle of depression mechanism.

Hand outs are always littered in their rooms

The room of carry over students can be likened to the dust bin at ojota in lagos. Because of the bulk of courses they offered per semester, various hand outs are always littered on their bed, wardrobe, floor, kitchen and even toilet if care is not taken.

Disgusting outfits and terrible body odour

Some carry over students always look un kept with bad body odour and funny outfits since they care less about their well being. Also, they hardly make their hairs, shave and sometimes skip brushing their mouth.

Odigie-Oyegun: we’re confident Senate will speedily approve nominees

President under pressure to relax criteria on ministers’ appointment

By Nduka Nwosu in New York, Iyobosa Uwugiaren and Onyebuchi Ezigbo in Abuja

The much-awaited list of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees will be released on Wednesday, the last day of the month. Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed this yesterday in New York. Adesina described Buhari as a man of his word, saying Nigerians would not be disappointed as September, the date given for the announcement of members of his cabinet, remains sacrosanct.

With just three days to the end of September, the month Buhari promised to send the list of his ministerial nominees to the Senate for approval, his senior special assistant on media and publicity, Mr. Garuba Shehu, had earlier assured that the president will keep his promise. Shehu gave the assurance yesterday.

This was as Buhari’s party, All Progressives Congress, expressed its confidence that the president would not disappointment the citizens with regard to the appointment of ministers and governance, generally. APC National Chairman John Odigie-Oyegun told THISDAY yesterday by telephone that Buhari meant well for the country and he will do everything humanly possible to ensure good governance.
THISDAY also learnt that the president was under intense pressure to relax his tough standards for qualifying persons for positions in his planned cabinet to avoid alienating many members of his party.
Shehu said, “The president had said it twice that he would submit his ministerial list to the National Assembly in September. As you can see, that position has not changed.”

The presidential aide, who spoke from New York where Buhari was attending the summit of the United Nations General Assembly, advised Nigerians to wait till the end of September.
Odigie-oyegun also urged Nigerians to continue to support the APC administration, saying the party would not shirk its responsibility to the people.

On APC’s position on the release of the ministerial nominees’ names this month, Odigie-Oyegun said, “There is no cause for alarm. We are confident the president will keep his promise. He will not disappoint Nigerians on his pledge to provide good governance for the enhancement of the nation.”

The national chairman also assured on the readiness of the party to galvanise support for the speedy approval of the ministerial list when it is presented to the National Assembly. He said the APC members in the National Assembly were already aware of the need to cooperate to ensure that nothing delayed the roll out of the administration.
The delay by the president in the release of the ministerial list has been attributed to a “suffocating pressure” from some powerful political forces requesting him to shift his ground, especially, in relation to the appointment of persons who, though accused of corruption, have not been convicted in court.

Buhari has consistently said he would not appoint people with questionable character as ministers.
But this well-intended stand of the president has been exploited by political opponents of whoever is believed to be on the cabinet list, as all sort of petitions sometimes containing spurious allegations have been written against likely nominees.
An insider told THISDAY yesterday that the president was still battling to resolve “this moral question.”

The source said, “President Muhammadu Buhari has consistently told us that he would not appoint corrupt and people with questionable characters as members of his cabinet. But in the last few weeks, he has come under suffocating pressure to shift his ground.
“The argument of many people is that the president would side-line his party, the All Progressives Congress, if he maintains his ground to appoint only clean people. This is what has caused the delay and this is the moral question he is currently battling to resolve.”

THISDAY exclusively reported yesterday that as preparation for the submission of the ministerial list to the Senate by Buhari heated up, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Buhari met on Friday at the United Nations Plaza in downtown Manhattan, New York City. Their meeting, which was held at the 37th floor of the plaza behind closed doors, came on the heels of speculations that the ministerial nominees would be announced soon. It was widely rumoured that the discussion of the two men centred on the appointment of ministers in the Buhari government.
A source familiar with the meeting told THISDAY, “The leaders decided to hold the meeting to discuss key national issues, crucial also is the ministerial list.”

The meeting came amid allegations of infighting and differences between Obasanjo and APC national leader and former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, over the nomination of ministers.
THISDAY learnt that at the UN General Assembly meeting, there were several lobbyists wanting to court Buhari’s attention ahead of the ministerial appointments.

Religion / Re: You Are Spiritually Matured If You Have "Perfect" Control Over These Things by Damsman10(m): 9:24am On Sep 20, 2015
starlingslimnet:
The phrase "Spiritual maturity" seems to many Christains a non-attainable feat while many have been doctrinated to believe "Spiritual maturity" can only be attained by the G.O's and "they"are mean't to be Spiritual reta'rds like the Galatians. Be it as it may, whatever it is,is totally unscriptural; a siege made to limit your full usage of your right as a Christain (A disciple of Christ).Spiritual maturity is attainable and you can grow into it in few days. But first we must understand what Spiritual maturity means.

Contrary to what we have in the churches, Spiritual maturity is not a 'journey' requiring scores of years but a journey requiring simple 'Faith' in Christ. Spiritual maturity is a long maintained state of Spirit supremacy over all things that makes you "you." In saying what makes you,you I mean things that makes you a Spiritual reta'rd.

And If you are have "perfect" control over the areas listed below then you are Spiritually matured by the Standard of Christ irrespective of what your church teaches.

1. Anger: Anger brought down the great prophet Moses and caused him to be the one of the many who sees with their eyes but taste not with their mouth.Anger is a great hindrance to your growth into Spiritual maturity. To become a Spiritual giant in the Spiritual realm you need to subject anger. Remember no one heard a word of anger in his mouth.

2. Flesh: Talk about the fall of Samson flesh caused it in form of lust. The flesh is not the only hinderance as believed but one of the many hindrances to Spiritual maturity, quick and deadly. You must subject your flesh in all it's form.

3. Appetite: "How art the mighty fallen." Esau lost his birthright to appetite. The right to give birth to the natiom of Israel: for God has promised Isaac "To your seed" and Esau was the fist born; rightful heir but he lost it. Your appetite might hinder you from growing into Spiritual maturity.

4. Tongue: What brought plague upon the Israelites? Tongue. What brought leprosy on Miriam? Tongue. Need I to say anything more on Tongue? You have to subject and control

5. Jealousy: An inbuilt trait present in every single individual. Bad when supreme good when subjected.Spiritual maturity requires you to control your innate jealousy.

6. Feelings And Emotions: Seems a major problem among Christain youths. But if you don't control your feelings and emotions your feelings and emotions will control you and when it does you can never attain Spiritual maturity.

7. Thoughts And Imagination: When you have such a past like I had, thoughts and imagination becomes a great hindrance to your Spiritual growth into maturity.Notwithstanding, you have to have control over them and that is why there is number eight.

8. Heart: "Out of the heart comes......." The Bible admonish us to guard our heart. The ability to gaurd your heart is Spiritual maturity. What comes in and goes out,who comes in and goes out must always be under your control.

Seems hard, didn't it? But not when the Holy Spirit is involved. Remember by strength shall no man prevail even to say,you don't have power over your inner though you may do to some extent over your outer and these problems are inner. Not by power, nor by might but by my Spirit says the Lord.Remember, what the heart can conceive a man can achieve. Trust the Spirit and see if all these altogether will not be evident in your life.

thanks op , simple n short
