TravelRe: Visa Free Countries For Nigerians by dancewith: 7:30am On Dec 22, 2009
St Kitts & Nevis is not really that big. Their biggest city, Basseterre, is only about the size of Surulere in Lagos. Its a breathtaking sight though and they depend heavily on tourism

I am not sure this is the city for you though if you are trying to look for jobs. They are just about 75,000 people in the whole country so every local knows each other. There are hundreds of visitors. I will suggest you look more at Barbados

TravelRe: Visa Free Countries For Nigerians by dancewith: 7:22am On Dec 21, 2009
I am shocked how some pple here display total ignorance. Do you think Nigeria is so bad we don't have countries that are visa free. For your information, St Kitts & Nevis does not require visa from us. I have been there twice. What of Turks & Kaicos Island, just off the Quays of Florida. It is also visa free. The same for Barbadoes (incidentally this is where 2 face had his tow children) is also visa free for Nigeria

The problem is that you may need transit visa to get to these countries. Barbadoes can be reached thru BA so you may need a British transit visa. For Turks & Caicos, you definitely need an American transit visa etc

So stop criticizing people in your ignorance!
CareerRe: UBA Bank Downsizes by dancewith: 7:24pm On Dec 19, 2009
For those claiming Sanusi is a saint, here is this for you: The banks were doing just fine when Soludo came in. banks had capital base of N2b then and some had been in existence for upward of two decades; accumulating bad debts along the way. This is to be expected even in a buying & selling business. some people will just owe u. so soludo decided to shock up d capital and along comes N25b. most banks took their capital bases/shareholders funds aboe N100b. Infact a handful were above N500b i.e Zenith, Oceanic, Intercontinental, First bank, UBA etc. Most took a hit on share loans and Soludo decided to draft the Asset management company, exactly what the US Govt did when wall street were reeling with the Subprime mortgage bad debts

The asset management would ve taken the toxic assets off the books of the banks as these were the basic issues and would ve been simply dealt with simply thus. unfortunately the sanusi craze came in and in a desperate attempt to make name, he went about scattering the industry that was the only major employer of labour in the country and in our backward reasoning as usual, pple were actually hailing him. no we can see d result. all banks are now forced to provision (set aside from their capital) bad loans they ve been carrying since inception, decades ago; most even performing

so the banks are reeling from an artificially created problem as their capital has been forced to dwindle. nobody bothered to find out how this will affect the masses in thier bid to make name and be given awards. meanwhile we are spending billions on fictitious contracts. When they changed soludo and brought on this mallam, they killed the banks, the economy and the future of our graduating youths. if you doubt me, watch what will become of our graudting youths in the next five years
TravelRe: American Visitting Visa by dancewith: 5:46pm On Dec 18, 2009
It is a hard sell but not impossible. The last time I was at the US consulate in Lagos, a young man that was visiting his uncle in the US was given a 2 yrs visa. He just graduated and does not even have a job yet. However he explained in a controlled & polite manner that his Dad is the chief accountant of xyz company and had proof. He also showed his parents statement of account to suggest his family is well off and therefore no need for him to immigrate to the US

However it is not all the time you have the chance at the consulate to prove anything. It comes down to whether or not your appearance, command of English, general body carriage and conduct demands the consular officer hears you out

Remember they care very little about our documentations/paperworks. What you say,how you say it, in the first minute is everything

Good luck!
TravelRe: Uk Visiting Visa Please, How Do I Go About It? by dancewith: 6:17pm On Dec 14, 2009
Now look here, it is very unlikely you will be approved this time. For one, your English is a bit shaky and if you keep reproducing what you are writing here, they will have no choice but to deny you again

Here's what to do: Get a proper education in Nigeria. UNILAG,UNN, UI, IFE etc will do just fine. No need blowing about N600k on a visit to The UK at this stage of your life. concentrate on getting educated first unless you have other motives of wanting to desparetly travel to the UK

They are not buying your story, just as I am not!

TravelRe: How Best Can I Get An Invite To Canada. by dancewith: 7:24pm On Dec 03, 2009
Yeah Dude, they honour the reservation. Dont use the invitation from someone. The consular requirement for that invitation to be considered valid is so stringent and long you may likey run into errors using them

The reservation is considered ok and if everyother things check out, you will get your visa. You do not have to pay for the reservation until you get to canada or get your visa however you want it

Good luck

Dude, The equipment is called TCAS (TRAFFIC COLLISION & AVOIDANCE SYSTEM) Note GCAS. In any case I am aware Aero contractors, Arik & Virgin Nigeria flights are equiped with this system

This is utterly disgusting. and to think some folks here actually supports the kenyans!!! But again, where d hell is kenya?? is it not that backward country where they were actually butchering each other over election? That shit hole with shanty houses? pleaseeee. Its a wonder Nigerians dignify that accursed rat hole with a visit. I wouldn't near the jungle if they want to decorate with a million dollars. divorce the woman and get a life

NB. Please make sure we deport any kenyas venturing near our shores. They need us, we dont need them. Trust me on this.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Citizens To Have State Identity Card In 2010 - Fashola by dancewith: 7:37pm On Nov 24, 2009
This is a bad joke. simply insane is Nigeria. This is a country that has millions of youths & old unemployed and you are busy plotting an ID scheme. For what? What purpose will be serve that the national ID, Passport or Drivers Licence will not servehuh If you issue the IDs this month, by next month ten of thousands that will enter the state what will be their fate?? Ok so you will ask them to grab a card too? At whose cost. What of people like some of us abroad that returns to Lagos periodically. Will I now be discriminated against once in Lagos without a card? or must i get the card, even though i ve got a passport, for the duration of my stay? for what use? In a country without roads, electricity, food, shelter, good water, we are talking of a useless ID card when we already have 3 IDs that cannot be managed!!!! What will stop the Negerians from grabbing the cards too at a token bribe? Crazy. Mr Fashola, you are badly advised here

I still remember the last time i was in naija, DSTV still blinks and goes off during rainy weather. Now thats 'good' service. Maybe someone need to remind them that thats 19th century technology. I wonder if they use this type of technology in South Africa. I doubt that. As for HITV, they just have to improve as I am aware other Nigerian Pay TV are gearing up to challenge them come 2013. Good Luck
TravelRe: Help Plz Dublin Visa by dancewith: 7:49am On Nov 18, 2009
Insufficent funds wont be the only reason you were refused. I am sure they also said something like OB: Obligation to return to home country is not deemed sufficient OC: Observe The condition of the visa: that there exisit doubt you will observe the condition of the visa if granted

These are possible additional reasons they may have stated which you didnt tell us. so as you can see, it is not just about your finance but a combination of other factors. My advice is that you get more documentary proof of your social, economic and material ties to Nigeria to which you must return. If you have kids, add their birth certificates and school fees reciept to your application. Add you marriage cert too. Add your landed property docs plus shares statement/certificates. Finance must not necessarily be cash but cash and cash valuable items

Good luck!

BusinessRe: CBN Moves To Return ETB To Adenuga by dancewith: 5:27pm On Oct 23, 2009
sanusi is a fool. for asking the sole benefactor of a bank to quit just out of jealousy should have been clear to all Nigerians to see in the first place. Can he ever achieve what this man has done for this country? All he knows is to pull successful people down using bogus claims. If we have 100 of the likes of Adenuga the country will be a lot better and many graduates won't be patrolling the streets. I am only too aware the number of graduates Cecilia has taken off the streets. and others. sanusi should realise he won't be there forever. Ribadu and El Rufai is a living example. The day of his judgement will come some day and there won't be any mercy

BusinessRe: Thanks To Sanusi: Foreign Banks Reject Letters Of Credit From Nigeria by dancewith: 3:46pm On Sep 13, 2009
this is what u get when a mad man is in charge of ur economy and a tribalistic president is in charge. we will soon be roasted under a zimbababwe style inflation. in their dash to sell off other people's sweat and property to the northerners, they have mauled d soul of this country's economy. as it is, the poor man on d street is d looser as militant sanusi & incompetent yaradull is already rich to d teeth to feel d impact. its only in dis kind of banana republic dat 5 healthy banks belonging to hardworking citizens without a history of default in their obligations are seized and handed over to freinds of the power brokers, mauling d only sector in this country that still provides living wages without a protest from nobody. bankers are now being sacked in their thousands without any likely source of re employment due to this, these are folks that would have still been employed but for this tribalistic attack and seizure. the banks are now exposed to serious discrimination from their correspondent banks and subsequently have refused to lend to nigerian busineses. how mad can we get, killing off the very sould of our country just so we can get some political score. i weep for our children
TravelRe: If You Are Refused A Canadian Visa? by dancewith: 7:32am On Sep 04, 2009
You are right. if they refuse you, they will stamp your passport. infact, even if they give you, they will still stamp your passport. Their procedure is to stamp your passport with a reference number once it is recieved before any decision is even made. so if you get it, the vsa will show that you are succesful but if you dont, the lack of visa will show you had been refused. good luck
PoliticsRe: Do You Approve Of Lamido Sanusi's Actions? by dancewith: 6:18pm On Aug 26, 2009
This man's action is a good example of a tyrant. For the avoidance of doubt, these banks (the now infamous) 5, had no liquidity problems. there ability to meet short & long term obligations are not in doubt. for some strange and inexplicable reason, we are being told that Unity bank is now better than Union bank; Sterling bank better than Oceanic bank. after having practiced banking for over 18 years, I am of the conclusion that this is a big lie; an action founded on a far deeper reason than we are told. The vanguard foretold this in march when they warned us that some cabal is planning d take over of 5 banks in Nigeria. These group, called the anti-consolidation cabal, will create panic in the sector thereby alarming depositors leading to Govt injection of funds into the banks. The govt will then later sell their stake to d cabal leading to a change of ownership. I am not convinced that Sanusi has good intentions when he came out a few days ago to say he wants to sell the banks. whyhuh and howhuh?

As I understand it, the N420b were injected into tier 2 capital meaning reserve capital. if the banks had liquidity problems, the injection would have been to the trading capital: tier 1 NOT tier 2 which banks rarely touch. Why also audit 10 out of 24 banks b4 sacking d directors? why not finish the total audit first and disclose the result for the banks to react/explain/argue the report b4 forcing them out. Why intimidate them with detention from day 1 as if they had been found guilty already. This seems to me as if the banks were selected. For one, it takes an average of one month to do a proper audit of one bank. Sanusi has been around for 2 months and he would have us believe he has audited 10 banks so exhaustively to make this far reaching decsionhuhhuh Its clearly impossible. It also seems to me the arrested directors are being made not to talk since the continued detention. something is seriously nt right somehwere. Time will tell

PoliticsRe: Problems With Consolidated Banks: Was Soludo A Failure? by dancewith: 7:08pm On Aug 16, 2009
The writer of this piece is a big fool. what Nigerian dont know is that the north has an agenda and that is what sanusi is expertly executing. when the wool is lifted from our eyes, it would be too late. the fact is none of these banks had any probem that would warrant a take over. oceanic has N217b in capital base. their total risk assest (or loans & advances) is N45b. if they are to make a full provision which has been done, they still have over N150b capital base! Fin bank has N105b capital base and total risk asset of N25b. if they make an unlikely 100% provision for the risk asset, thier capital base is still over N70b! Intercontitental bank has over N300b capital and total risk asset of N70b. You do the match. The north is coming back and that is why these people are being pushed out. Dangote has already been imposed on the stock exhange. these banks will soon change ownership to northerners who will 'repay CBN' with the 'injected funds' (when this happens me & u wont hear it) and be sure the take over will be packaged from d north. last month sanusi launched islamic banking and granted them licence. they will take 20% each in these banks. we are so blind. by the time we put two and two together it will be too late. None of these banks have problems. i work in a company that audits these banks. i was shocked when these lies are spread as truths and soon we discovered why. whenever cbn says banks have problems they know the public will buy it hook, line and sinker! there is something seriously wrong going on and we should be very very very careful and pray for this country

PoliticsRe: Obama Wades Into Race Row Over Harvard Professor's Arrest by dancewith: 8:23am On Jul 24, 2009
The sgt should be locked up for good. he deliberatly arrested Gates to spite him as a black man even when he was in no doubt who Gates was and the fact he was in his own house

If it was the British police, they will apologise profusely for the mix up and leave. I once had a run in with them and they were literally falling over themselves trying to apologise for coming to my home after some jerk called them there were disturbances and shouting there which was a big lie.

in America however, civility takes the back seat when police is taking to a black person. So many blacks are wrongly imprisoned there mostimes with the active conniavance of the police and the prosecutors witholding vital evidence from the defence that would have cleared the black person. So many blacks are given up to life and lengthy sentences even when for the same crimes, whites are given suspended sentences or short terms. we are all aware of the shooting death of a black girl by a white shop attendance in texas for the fact she was haggling too much over food items. The white murderer later got a 10 year SUSPENDED sentence! This is for a crime many blacks (mostly wrongly accused) are on death rows

Are Americans racist? you be the judge
