Though sedimentary drilling is the most technical, mowe-ofada axis is not that stubborn. Once you don't jeopardise with the right team, right tools, right Casing thickness then the job is a success.

The image attached is one of the rig we used in ofada, you can see its totally different from the Indian rigs. The Indian rigs are majorly created for basement drillings (they love breaking igneous/metamorphic rocks) and once the overburden is much, they won't be able to do the job.
I have experience a lot of site abandonment from drillers, everybody Don tire

The results of the geophysical survey recommend 80m with an overburden of 50m.

I have contacted few companies in Ibadan including the one used by @diordaves but they cannot do it because of the overburden.

Yes, I have always maintained that no one should drive forever. It should be a step to greater heights.

I do admit that I miss it though. I was making more when I was driving myself than I'm making now with three vehicles on rentals and it's now looking like a waste of funds.

I'm planning to sell off all the vehicles and divest into okada business(not in Lagos) but I'm being careful and taking my time.
Driving is a tough job, especially if you do it everyday, quite dangerous too..Alot of crazy drivers on the street.

I wont advice anyone to go into the business, more if you intend to make REAL money.. The investment/effort/time value etc put into it is not worth the return....Well, maybe they're one or two who made cool money from their investment, but overall it's not worth it if only maybe 10% of investor can rightly claim that it was good...The fees are not encouraging, effort/time does not yield commensurate returns, bad mechanic and most importantly, dishonest people...

Two week ago i picked an old man and his daughter from Ikosi to v.i for 2,500 on indriver, the man was shocked when the daughter paid the fare, he told me he was a retired yellow taxi driver and up until 2002 he was already billing his rider atleast 2,500 from ketu to v.i..How come it's still 2,500 today? I'm sure he did not know that commission will still be deducted!

each 3ft door costs 38,000 and 4ft costs 50,000.

I can waybill to jibowu Lagos and you can pick up from there. Cost of waybill is dependent on the quantity of the doors and if you want other stuff like gate which I can also make.

If you check the thread, you will see that I can do a whole lot of stuff
What should I expect as Cost of delivery for three 4FT door and two 3FT door.....

I just want to pass this information to those building in Ibadan axis and struggling with portable water sourcing.

See the attached photos. The company just successfully concluded a borehole project in Oluyole area. The total cost is just under 500k.

This doesn't include the geological survey. This was done separately. Some forego this aspect but it's recommended. The project is a micro estate cum retirement holiday home. The geological survey identified three spots on the site. This was handed to the borehole company and they settled for the site with the best yield.

If you are having water challenges, you may try this approach. It was successful. Please note that there are some sites in same location that the water table is a challenge, hence the need for a geological survey. There are sites in the same vicinity with no water.

I'm not recommending the company or speaking for them. All I'm saying is that the company just successfully concluded a borehole project without drama.

So if you want to adopt this approach, please do your independent due diligence. No money was sent remotely. Someone was on ground and the company's office was visited. Money only exchanged account when the company was on site.

Do your due diligence independent of this information. Or do your due diligence to substantiate this information. My responsibility stops here.
Pls can you share contact?

You accepted that you received money in advance, if you have deposited the money to a supplier please you can list all what you paid for, perhaps , we might have people on this platform that may wish to buy, so as to free up fund and we settle somehow.

Abi, lets reason nau, this thread is slowing going away with all this issues.

What we are disagreeing on is whether Magodo Brooks is a private estate or public property. And whether the CP was there as a Police man or a guest at a party. So let's agree to disagree that he needs to follow the protocol if he is in mufty on a social visit to a private property. But shouldn't be blocked if he is on police duty whether to a private or public property. I think we are good on that.

The CP doesn't wield infinite powers like some people want us to believe. He is a law enforcement officer, a Police man and should operate within the bracket the law provides.
A lot people just want to sound woke by saying stuffs like "tyranny", " rule of law", etc. Many have forgotten these estates are subsets of a larger society whose laws supersedes whatever internal laws the estates make for themselves. Lots of people have been yelling about the CP obeying the "law of the estate"... The CP is a federal law officer whose mandate grants him access to places on identification of his person. The roads in these estates are public roads you as an ordinary citizen should ordinarily be able to gain access to. It is only into a personal residence you need to be granted access or a warrant. But these estates cordon off entire roads and you people are here talking about " the estate rules". It is because the rich have so oppressed the poor that even the poor think most of these practices are right.

I don't mean to derail the thread.

What caliber, If I may ask? When the chips r down, and the real criminals come knocking, it's still the same police the so called "high caliber" will call.
And not the 30k /month rent a cop they mounted at the gate.

You want to know the truth. The security guards disregarded the office of the CP. They are security men, they are in the know. how long will it take you to clear a high profile officer like the CP.?

See, the issue is not about them doing their job, the real issue is the security guards not giving a care in the world who they kept waiting, they displayed this I don't care attitude,. Haba.. , "Taba ranni nise eru, a nfi tomo je." , it means, if you are being sent the job of a slave, you can as well deliver it in a most dignified manner"

The insignia of the office of the CP was in full display. Not covered. You wouldn't understand if you were not born n bred in the southwest.
I was shocked when i read pearl's assertion..For emphasis, you CANNOT deny the CP entrance into any place/location in any part of the state that falls within his jurisdiction..He's the police chief in the state, the number one security officer, you can't shut him out...I was even surprise the security guard was able to move closer to the commissioner for such communication, usually when this guy's goes out there is usually an advance team or in some cases a "bike team" that moves ahead like 2km to CLEAR all obstacles, including the magodo brooks gate security guard....On a lighter note, he could have been shot! Yes shot and NOTHING will happen, or you think anything will happen...I'm in the know and i have a little knowledge on how stuff like this work.... Do your job with wisdom.....Just like when you are driving and you see Hilux/SUV blaring siren, abeg just clear, some of them are not human..In Nigeria, you can get away with ANYTHING. #WISDOM

Conflicts are inevitable part of our daily living. They do not need to ruin or redefine our relationship with people. They just need to be addressed and resolved rather than allowing our frustrations to build up because issues are not maturely addressed.

I’m not here to discuss who was right or wrong. Who ought to call or not. We just need to move forward.

I understand this hence the reason I didn’t bother to ring you the 3rd time. I could have called earlier but I was on my way traveling that night.

I could have done 1st and 2nd Jan but I know those are days we would be busy with our families and loved ones.

If you ask me as a neutral person, what’s the best way to deal with the issues at hand? I’d say “Have a conversation (one-on-one) with the other person involved.”

Unfortunately my Whatsapp messenger app has been acting funny lately and your request to me was to do a voice note which shows to me you might be busy or not ready for an open discussion.

Avoiding open discussion is not only dysfunctional. It is counterproductive.

When we refuse to communicate, simple misunderstandings often degenerate into long-term and systemic challenges like we are right now....

...speak with the QS
...speak with Mr Fortune
...explain to nairaland

To make things clear, I don’t do “we” against “them” and I don’t assume other people’s position. When issues arise, I deal with them.
Calling a client at 11pm!!! A text saying you just got to your destination and you will call the next day would have been better.

You don't have biz with what he's doing with his family on 1st and 2nd, Just make the damn call please...Stop all of this!

Now this is irritating!

What a long "back and forth" read...Things dey happen sha...

I honestly don't know what to say, except for a few things.

Next's claim that cement was not sold for 3k or less this year anywhere was not correct, i bought 2,950 around Mowe in Feb, later bought 3k around ending of Feb 2021...

l'm happy one thing is clear and that is both party agreed that REFUND will be made, problem is "how much to be refunded".

Secondly, somehow is magnanimous to have pegged refund to 2m BUT there is more.

The QS is part of the project from beginning, paid by somehow and it is EXPECTED that whatever FIGURE he brings will be tilted in favour of his client, atleast they say that whoever pays the piper COULD dictate the tune..

NEXT is not totally wrong not to ACCEPT the proposed refund value from QS femi, moreso if his statement (if it is TRUE) that the figure has been reviewed 4th time, albeit downward, shows that the job was not tidy enough...From some of the upload/communication here, it seems there are some things he was not contracted for yet being ask to make refund-----if this is correct, i refer back to my statement and i ask, did we tidy up before presenting a figure for repayment?

Oga NEXT, you have presented your repayment value to be 1,075M, can you please share how you arrived at your own figure? I want to learn something. You ought to have been present when you got an invite to the site to enable the QS present a more detailed /acceptable report;instead of this ambiguilty....

NEXT, you have WASTED too much time and you have caused alot of pain for your client..i don't know you, never met you but i always look forward to your comment whenever there is issue between vendor/client on this platform...In this case, you have ACTED in direct opposite to what you have always propose/recommend in order to resolve issues amicably. You failed! Please by all means, FIX THIS PROBLEM!

There is a much more important value that was lost in this project, and that is the value of TIME. Who will pay for all the time wasted?

After over a year consistently on this thread, i will be patronising a vendor from this thread... I have always been avoiding that due to the numerous, not too palatable issues in the past but i will buy wood and other accessories worth a million naira from hslbroker2....
He has promise to do POD... I have promise to pay him IMMEDIATELY.... My carpenter and Engr will received the truck, count the wood, ensure it's okay and they will signal me to pay... Hslbroker2 has ASSURED me that what he's bringing will be of utmost quality, not MIX, exact specification and i will be happy with it... I will come here to give feedback... If this goes through, then i will consider this thread for my window/door/plumbing etc... It's my little way of saying, Thank you to the thread and the MEN here, i always receive valuable info.
UPDATE:

I am happy to say that hslbroker2 did supplied the wood and all accessories to my site..Unlike the experiences of some of you here, my carpenter, two other carpenter did confirm to me that the wood is very okay. They collect his phone number from me...He was communicating with me, even when he had transportation challenges, he reach out AFTER DELIVERY for some extra bucks for support which i did...I did not regret this transaction....The POD model is also very good, most especially on a forum and society like ours. My mind was at peace, knowing fully well that am doing POD......I encourage other vendor to adopt the POD model, most especially if your store/office is far from the city, where majority of your customer reside....When we know ourself better, then we can pay ahead and be sure of not just delivery, but getting exactly what we order for. Thank you hslbroker2........I just told someone in my office now about you, he will be roofing his house soon......
Roofing is done!!! We move to the next stage.....Am still thinking what it should be sef?
