I have said it and will keep saying it, since Indriver came onboard Bolt and Uber became a shadow of themselves.

Indriver is not the kind of competition needed in Nigeria ehailing system.

Mind you comrades, b4 indriver started charging and Uber/Bolt has been having a stiff competition about their price increase... Shebi it was N10/min at some point and Uber was N11/min and N65/km while Uber was N67/km but now its about 70+/km or thereabouts.

Remember when fuel was increased we and one of jpworld 's last comment on this thread was that the partial increment by Uber/Bolt commensarate the increase of pump price from N145 to N165 or thereabouts... I wonder if that guy is still in business now self... I'd really like to know but that's by the way tho.

So indriver is the killer to ehailing business and if Bolt and Uber don't find a strategy to take this guys off I'm afraid the business will die in a matter of years to come, because drivers who are the frontiers are not making any profit anymore it's only a matter of time b4 many drivers start realising this.

How do you expect Bolt/Uber to increase price when another app is ready to take that same trip for far less? Take for instance I was at lekki gardens axis yesterday and I was just looking at prices on Indriver...

Sangotedo to far Int'L Airport, Ayobo, Alagbado where picked for 4, 5k the highest offer I saw was 5.5k and these offers didn't last 5secs and never came back again unlike b4 you'll see them come up again if you don't getrit forget about it

Bolt and Uber as well contributed to indriver gaining ground because how in heaven sake would you block a driver who has completed over 2000 trips in less than 8months and all they can say is cancellation and rating... That's nonsense!!!

This left a lot of drivers with no other choice than jump ship because they've to make ends meet and it tied them to what they call freedom, no completion rate, no cancellation rate, no acceptance rate, nothing.

What I think Uber/Bolt should start from to push indriver to the edge is for them to first change their policy of blocking drivers, then unblocked all drivers and give them a bumber bonus to come back onboard, then start introducing surge especially on Mondays, Fridays and week ends. Me I don't belong to the school of thought that it's absence of drivers that make up surge... These things can be manipulated.

Doing this will send a signal to indriver as well to increase their own price to stastoscope.

The most annoying one is the festive period, the other time I said out of about 9trips I completed in December period only 2 where surge and the surge was not even up to 1.9x but pearl1910 argued it's not possible. I just ignored...thank God he's a veteran in the job, can he compare his last December earnings to previous once? The margin will shock anyone.

Indriver is to blame not just the system because Uber/Bolt can't hike price just like that otherwise riders will dump their app and go to a cheaper one where they know even traffic won't change the price

LOL, Indriver na one mad app..i picked a rider from Convenant uni to agungi for 6k...I vex ehn but i no get choice because i waited for almost 2 hour to get a decent trip out of that sch...Even the lady still thinks it's too expensive...The only thing they offer is the freedom.Any rider that port to indriver is not coming back AGAIN to any other app. The only thing they complain about is the waiting time. Many riders complain to me that it takes too long before a driver accept their request, i usually just tell them its because of their shitty prices.

I would say it this way, if your standard is mediocre don’t make it the gold standard.

I remember some years ago when i rented a small flat, try my best to make it habitable, including putting a borehole.. Its about 4 flat, there was borehole when we moved in but after a while the borehole dried off and we needed to dig another.. Landlord no send us and we use our money.. I change the WC and some other stuff and i was so angry and i told my wife that whenever we decided to move out, i will remove EVERYTHING.... At first she did not say anything but when she noticed that am always saying it, she told me that it means God has not bless me enough that i should rather pray for a higher blessing.. When God bleses ur handwork, you will never think of such, you will know and understand that you are bigger than all those things.. My brother, pray for blessing.. Its a poverty mentality... Same thing applies to "some" of our comrade who says they are selling relocation sales.. Even up till early 2000, when people are relocating , they usually call friends and family to their house to come and PICK whatever they need or want.. I remember how i got one very nice sneakers from a cousin of mine that traveled to US around 2001 or so.. Now people even sell their spoon and knife because they are relocating.. May God restore the glory of this country.. Very painful honestly

I bought a land in Lagos 2014 for 6.5 because there was a building in the land and sold it for 40m 2021. I bought half a plot for 5million in 2018 and it's currently selling for 25m (p&t ipaja).
Where I am currently living, I bought it for 7m one and half plot 2013. Current value excluding the building 35m - Ask anyone who knows lagos of peace estate Baruwa.
The land I bought in owerri the current value is still hanging around that 3-6m profit margin.
The thing with Lagos is high demand and less availability compared to Abuja or any other big city.

Please I need your informed suggestions on the best areas within Lagos where I can currently get a half plot of land for 15 - 25million Naira. I am particularly looking at areas with the following features:

- Great Security (very low armed robbery incidence rates, low concentration of louts)
- Decent phcn power (at least 10 - 15hours daily)
- Nearness to social facilities like shopping malls, supermarkets, nice relaxation spots etc
- Non-swampy or prone to flooding

The areas I'm considering that fit the above requirements are Ogudu, Ogba, Isheri-Olowora axis, Ikate, Argungi or any area on the island not beyond Chevron.

Please advise whether and where I can get a half plot of land within the stated budget in these areas or any other area in Lagos that you know is also suitable. Note that Ibafo-Mowe (distance), OPIC estate (flooding), Ikorodu, Iyana-Ipaja/Egbeda/Alimosho (distance), Lagos Island (louts), Ajah (poor security and distance), Agege/Iju/Agbado/Abule-egba axis (poor roads and louts) are out of my consideration due to the various factors already highlighted.

I think your budget is too low for ogudu....You might be lucky with olowora and ogba but i prefer Alapere...You will have most of the requirement there....But even in Alapere, pls there are good and bad places there so shine your eyes..Within the last 5 years i observed alot of decent folks are moving into Alapere..My landlord just sold the house am staying there for over a 100m...Do your due dilligence.

Now this is what happens when you pour synthetic oil into an engine with a great amount of sludge.

Full synthetic engine oils have cleaning additives, they work like detergents, and are able to break down accumulated sludge in the engine very quickly. The ability of full synthetic oils to keep an engine clean, in a healthy engine is harmless, the particles get trapped in the oil filter and after an oil (oil and filter change) drain the process is repeated again. sadly in an abused engine it is not the same. You have rapid breakdown of sludge, it overwhelms the oil filter, clogs up the strainer at the pickup screen of the oil pump, on and no time the engine is running on low oil pressure (which explains why the oil light started flickering in traffic) ultimately from low oil pressure the engine gets starved of lubrication, becomes noisy, rattles and finally freezes up.

@eyinola, this is exactly what happen to your car... As gazzuz will always say, do not revert to synthetic oil if you have been using the cheaper oil (xhp etc) for more than a year.. There is no need, you may have sludge already and the synthetic oil will cause a RAPID breakdown of sludge, those sludge particles affect your filter, clog up your strainer etc.....
