The problem with most of you guys, is because, most people on nairaland has made some derogatory remarks about Nigerian women, you assumed everyone is doing same.

I still stand by my word that, she is not bad compared to others out there married to their grannies, far older women with more than 3 children or ancestor women. This woman is not fat. She could be classified as someone who is little plumpy (check out her hands or wrist to have an idea). It has nothing to do with her being white or not.

If you want to know about fat woman, check the other nairaland thread where a white woman tasted eqwusi soup and garri which she made, and still went ahead to spit it out saying she doesn't hate the husband's culture or place, but that she cannot eat such traditional food.

Though I was not the one it was directed to, let me still contribute my little Quota to this thread.

COA= Cost of Attendance (Total amount to attend the university in a year.... that is, school fees, accommodation fee, living expenses, medical insurance fee etc)

RA= Research Assistantship ( A job offered to student to join research group of the said supervisor in lieu of his fees being waived. Also, has a monthly stipend offered to the said student. As a rule of thumb, PhD students tends to earn more than Msc students in same research group)

Deficit = The balance the student has to cater for either by himself or by a sponsor. Mathematically:

COA - RA = Deficit (which could be 0 or positive)

I didn't say she did it. it is my own personal assumption which could be true or false. And she falls within the age range of someone who could have done such due to her family wealthy background.

Example: There was this Nigerian lady in UK (a student) who died after eating a cookie prepared with cracked, and not properly refined Phyn... (a street drug). No body would have believed she is into such dangerous lifestyle till it happened. (Only child and daughter of her parents. The mother was totally heartbroken)

In summary, I am not buying that genetic shit she said.

It is well known case that, in Nigeria, most students especially women are now into taking ice (Methy...) in order to get extremely high before engaging in a wide marathon sexual romps. Cough syrup mixed with coke, Pepsi mixed with mint drugs etc are something that can get you 'high but also destroy your kidney or livers'.

Like I said, I doubt the genetic stuff she is saying.

And honestly, I strongly believe that non of his siblings would be willing to donate to her.

They know that, what destroys hers is not genetic, but probably her lifestyles, and what she did (like if she was smoking, eating dangerous stuffs etc)

From the rule of thumb (going by what I observed on this thread), they will inform you when to bring your passport for the visa to be stamped into it. Just go for the interview, and excel.

My suggestion will be to go for one that has international branches - as that would mean they cater to a wide range of investors.

Obviously we've had Janus a long time but they're also international.

We chose Hargreaves Lansdown in London for our 2nd one - the kids accounts were opened in New Zealand but we pay into it in pounds and are not resident in the UK for tax purposes but we are British citizens so I'm not sure if that was a consideration.

Ask the class teacher if they have a class WhatsApp or email group - you'll get to meet other parents that way. Also ask the children who their friends are and invite them for a playdate. If they gel, you can make it regular and they will then have a group of friends. You have to facilitate it though and be ready to hear any number of excuses from the parents as well.
