The problem is that the security agencies are not equipped with the right personnel and intelligence to nip crimes like this in the bud. Hence, their investigations are Kickstarted by petitions and not discoveries.

1 Peter 3:15 says: "But sanctify the Lord God in ur hearts and always ready to make a defence to everyone who demands ot doing so with a mild temper and deep respect".
Based on the highlighted, I do not find ur response to be in accordance with the scriptures, rather, ur response falls under wat Apostle Paul described in 1 Timothy 6:3-5.
3: "if anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to the wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness,
4: "he is proud knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions,

That's where Matthew 6:1-4 comes in handy. The church or congregation gives but not through a modality called tithing. The book of Acts 4:32, 34 & 35, gives a clear answer to ur question. In fact, nowhere was tithing mentioned there, even wr there was an opportunity for it to be so mentioned and utilised. Look at 2 Corinthians 8:12, 13. That is the only and current recognised form of giving. Besides, it shocks me how so called MOGs wld place so much emphasis on giving, wen Matthew 6:33 spells out the priority of Christianity.

Firstly, u agree that the position of the levites and Aaron were a priesthood arrangement for the purpose of maintaining the people of Israel's relationship with God and keeping it clean. The levites had no property: no farmland, sheep or any means of livelihood. Therefore the commandment to pay or give tithes wr for their benefits. Hebrews 7:5 says: "And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brethren......"
Now go to verse 12 of the same Hebrews 7 and it says: "For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law".
Verse 18 then says: "For on the one hand there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and Unprofitableness".
This shows that tithing was abolished with the rest of the law that had to do with a priesthood arrangement. The abolishment of the priesthood arrangements had nothing to do with the laws of Moses through the commandments of proper conduct as God's ppl.

The only places in the bible wr the living wr referred to as dead was in the new testament, which is the fulfilment of the promise of a saviour. The old testament made such reference.

In the scripture u quoted, did Jesus Christ mention that the rich man was a sinner (I guess u and ur church just assumed that part into the verse) or that lazarus was righteous(u also assumed that part here too abi?)? And pls don't quote the part of a camel and a needle eye, cos in all the parable of that rich man who asked his soul to rest and enjoy, the picture was clear: He placed his hopes and life on his earthly belongings and in Jesus dialogue with the oda rich man whom he as to give off his wealth, the rich man's response was wat led to the camel an needle eye analogy and not the mere fact that the man was rich.
Jesus Christ had never given a parable that had blank spaces for us to assume facts into the parable. Check all his parables. Here, he wasn't talking about hell at all.
So back to my kweshon.......cld u answer it pls?

Your story is seriously disjointed. Where exactly did religion feature in the hospitalisation of the dude? The oda thread on his purported kidnap cited religious grounds. Rather for ur thread to confirm that fact, u are toeing the pitiable part of a type of speculation common with stark and foolish illiterate (there are wise illiterates, in case u don't know). Since u are aware of the circumstances surrounding his release from the hospital, I believe u cld have also confirmed from him, the basis for his purported kidnap.
How wld one expect critical minds, with critical views among ur ilk and have such leaders as we do today?

Rational minded ones, pls if a man's abductors are unknown, how then can one safely and without fear of cogent contradiction say that he was kidnapped for his atheist views? Moreso, wen there has not being a warning directed at him or an alarm raised by him on a possible threat to his safety.
Since the supposed location wr he is being held is not a secret, cld we rightly say he was kidnapped or merely taken?
