What Exactly Is Nigeria's Population?@poster Truth of the matter is that nobody knows. Politicians influence the population of there state to get more money from the federal government. |
Ask yourselves thses questions, How can Nigeria be a giant of Africa, If@ vigasimple Thank you o jare, what kind of a giant doesn't know how to tie its own shoes. |
stamma, your posts are extremely false and distasteful, obviously you are not Nigerian. |
"When last did you visit your village?" NEVER. |
GIANT KE?? YOU PEOPLE MUST BE JOKING. This is what we Nigerians love to call our country just to make us proud of ourselves, we seem to like throwing the word "giant" around anyhow. Giant ko, vertically challenged ni. |
I meant the job he did in Abuja. |
When was the last time you went to Nigeria. What is common sense for some has to be taught to others. Go to Nigeria. Most of our problems are common sense problems. If they have to go somewhere else to change their way of thinking then I honestly do not care. Most of them probably spend more than that to cure a cough by flying to a foreign country.Thank you o my sister, naija's problems all require common sense. Where is the sense in building eko atlantic city when there is no clean water and constant electricity in lagos. It seems that a lot of Nigerians don't seem to know that lack of constant power supply in Nigeria greatly hampers economic activity and that if we can solve the NEPA problem, we have already solved most of Nigeria's problems, in other words, unemployment would plummet significantly. Our leaders can't seem to figure this out that if you throw all the money that we are using in building Tinubu squares, planting flowers and building skyscrapers and throw all of that at NEPA we could solve the problem. When it comes to decongestion they don't know that having By the way what is Fashola's educational background and previous work experienceI think Fashola is a lawyer. |
What kind of sexist question is this? Unbelievable that people are still asking this kind of stupid questions in the twenty first century. I remember our teachers brazenly telling us to debate useless topics like this when we were still in school. Naija na wa o. |
I would ask him why there are no sufficient internal controls in the NNPC to prevent corruption and when would the company become transparent to the average public. |
It takes a man to admit he was wrong and i would commend Nasir El Rufai for that. Say what you will about the guy, but the man has a penchant for competence. His record may not be so squeaky clean but they speak for themselves. If yar'adua has any wisdom, he would make him head of the Niger Delta so that he can put some of that Harvard knowledge to good use, it could benefit the Niger Delta. This time, there should be absolute transparency in everything he does so that he cannot steal anything this time around. El-rufai who recently graduated with an MA in Public Policy and Management from Havard University Kennedy School of Government said President Barack Obama chose to ignore Nigeria and travel to Ghana in order to support good governance in that country. On a lighter note ONE OF MY FRIENDS MET EL-RUFAI IN HARVARD. |
Some are Nigerians married to white peoplelitmus, what are you? a racist. what does marrying oyinbo have to do with the problem. Geez, instead of focusing on the problem at hand, you are focusing on people marrying oyinbo's. Just wonderful. |
Thanks mustardinc for this picture, it is probably the best picture (most inspiring and touching) i have ever seen on the web.

You don't need to go to Harvard University or Oxford to be a great leader. Most governors in America didn't even go to schools as good as that. I don't even think that Harvard has a university degree. ALL A LEADER NEEDS IS INTEGRITY, A SENSE OF DIRECTION, AND WISDOM TO SELECT THE BEST PEOPLE FOR THE JOB AT HAND. For example you don't need to have a Ph.D in electrical engineering as a governor to realize that NEPA needs fixing. You simply throw the entire kitchen sink at the problem which includes as many experts as possible and throwing enough money at the problem then ensure that the money is going solely to the project and nowhere else. At the end of the day, you hold the people accountable; if they can't get the job done, haul 'em off to prison. |
the italian league is really pissed off about this transfer, in fact, AC Milan fans were protesting. |
Now i dont know how i stumbled on this thread, but "get freekicks, or dive trying" is the funniest thing i've heard this yeah. Lolhe he he. |
ehn |
The americans made a huge mistake remaining behind and trying to develop the placewhat kind of a dumb statement is this? |
I never thought AC Milan would allow it to happen but i guess it was all because Ancellotti left. |
Kaka is moving to Real Madrid. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=653442&sec=transfers&cc=5901 |
what kind of absolute nonsense is this? Instead of this guys being taught millitary tactics and counter-insurgency they are being taught how to plant there head on stones. No wonder they can't quell the niger delta crisis. Incompetence breeds incompetence. |
an average nigerian does not like d word dept on like n d developed world were they live on morgage. This is why i love nairaland, for topics like this. DEBT IS BAD AND SO ARE MORTGAGES. Why not save up and buy your own property, that's the problem with America now, they borrowed more money than they could afford to pay and now they are paying for it. PLEEEEASE let's not end up be like them o. |
This is another very important article http://www.newsweek.com/id/200599 |
khanye west, Thank you o my brother. I don't want to take anything from the Eagles performance, i just want us to put the victory into perspective, its not as if we won the world cup final or something self, its just another friendly match, which the french don't seem to have taken too seriously, if so henry would probably have played and not Gignac. |
Their goal-scoring chances missed were not because they didn't play it well, but because our keeper and defenders were wonderful. Henry or Trezeguet would not have done better. Don't mention Malouda.Jarus WHAT!!! DID I READ YOU CORRECTLY?? You said that Henry or Trezeguet would not have done any better!! You and i both know what the result would have been if they had taken one of those chances instead of Loic Remy. Let's be honest and put this victory in perspective, we still don't have a world class team as evidenced BY OUR PASSING IN THE FINAL THIRD OF THE PITCH. The passing there was just absolutely awful (i hope its because there was no Mikel). Overall, when it comes to passing ability, our play was occassionally scrappy; some of our passes were mistimed, heck, some players didn't even know how to cross. One thing i also observed was that Nigerians still seem to be using the long ball approach of England, instead of the ball possession of Spain, Argentina and every great footballing side. They seem to forget that football is played on the ground and that grass does not grow on the sky. All we did was just boot the ball from defense and hope and pray that Osaze or Ike would latch on to it. All that "spray and pray" nonsense would not work if you want to win a World Cup. I would love to see us play a GREAT team like Spain and Argentina before actually saying that this our team is worthy of being called GREAT. Now having said all this, i thoroughly enjoyed watching this guys play, there style was a breath of fresh air compared to watching European football. The players had so much flare and skill and were willing to attack and take on players. Watching even our central midfielders running at central defenders was fun. I hope to see more of that, now if we can blend this with a much better passing game. We would be absolutely unstoppable. |
Lets go get the following coaches whilst they are still cheap Juande Ramos, Didier Deschamps, Claudio Ranieri, Jurgen Klinsman, Ruud Gullit, Marco van Basten and Frank Rijkaard. |
as far as I am concerned, the boys did a good job. I was impressed particularly with the Defence. If only they can get to play this way(or even better) in their remaining qualifiers?Ehn |
I believe if he's a white he would have won it.Look Greatpeter, okocha was probably the most talented player i have ever seen in my life, but he definitely was not the most effective player i have ever seen. The guy was a late bloomer, he didn't develop until later in his career when he came to Bolton. The man could barely play free-kicks ( i always remember the ball always going up high over the post). One thing they teach you in a football academy is to learn when to dribble and when to pass. Okocha struggled with this throughout most of his career. A lot of Nigerians confuse dribbling with being a great player, If this were the case, then Dennilson would be greatest player the world had ever seen. The greatest players all know this and this is what makes them effective i.e Zidane, C. Ronaldo, Messi, Eto'o. When C. Ronaldo came to Man U he had the skills but nothing else, he was nowhere near a good passer as David Beckham and the guy could barely cross, but after a few years under the tutelage of Alex Ferguson and a lot of extreme hard work on his part now he has blossomed into a great player and not just a circus show. This is a guy who years ago barely knew how to cross, let alone take free kicks and score. Now look at him, the guy is probably the most complete player i have ever seen in my life, he can do it all. by the way, obongproff, Okocha was never a great passer, he was just an average passer. |
As much as i hate to say it, Samuel Eto'o is the world's best striker followed very very closely by El Nino himself, Fernando Torres. |
The man of the match is undoubtedly Vincent Enyeama, without him, they should have scored at least 4 goals. Now i see why he was the Israeli player of the year. |
