I can't believe people here are so naive to believe this myth because of what they read on the internet or some hoax that was passed down from there parents. There is absolutely no evidence at all besides for some conspiracy theorists running around spreading rumors in a poor region where everybody is willing to hold on to something. This myth that igbos are jews is just what Ojukwu propagated during the civil war to create a siege mentality among the igbos (us against them mentality) to rally them for war and to justify secession (treason) as being noble and just. Igbos are Nigerians like everyone else, let me be the first to say it I AM NIGERIAN AND WELL PROUD OF IT. When i was in primary school in naija, they said that hausas originated from somewhere, they also said that yorubas migrated from saudi arabia, which was just a folklore so my good friends don't go around looking like fools abeg, y'all nigerians like everybody else.

For those who say the Nigerian millitary is worth there salt, all they need to do is see there incompetency in quenching the insurgency in the Niger Delta. The only thing they know is how to pick on harmless, defenseless citizens, afterall, this is the same army where in order to cope up with the inadequacies or lack of funding for a well equipped and well trained standing army, soldiers are subjected to inhumane treatment all in the name of toughness. This cadets are not only subjected to horrible treatments, but molestation to make them subordinate. Proper 21st century millitary training is substituted for brutal and archaic "training". Let's see them perform a simple millitary manuever or quell an insurrection or uprising in the North whenever those great ones go crazy again. This is the so called "powerful army" that was woeful while enduring serious casualties during ECOMOG operations in sierra leone and liberia in the 90's despite the fact that the millitary was underreporting or flat out denying the number of millitary dead.

For those who say that Nigeria's army is the strongest in West Africa should know that in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

All hail the pharoahs of Egypt for a great performance. I must admit that i never saw them making an impact in the tournament talkless of winning, but they did a great job. While others were playing direct and physical football and some simply relying on the long ball approach requiring defenders to boot the ball 30 metres in the air hoping a player would latch on to it (just like the english), the Egyptians were playing a slick south american style of play with short passes, speed and creativity, its no wonder there 3-5-2 formation worked to perfection. There formation required them to defend and counter-attack and it worked to perfection. Overall, this was a great team performance by the Egyptians who most people never gave a chance without there star forward Mido who has become somewhat of a cancer on the team, its obvious that they were more united than ever and each one of the players from the goalkeeper El Hadary who was outstanding all tournament long, to Hosni Abd Rabou, Mohamed Aboutrika and striker Amr Zaki. Once again i tip my hat to the Egyptians for retaining there African crown.

The fantastic Aboutreika hands down has been the best player on the African continent for the past 2 years and he finally shown like a bright star when it mattered the most, God bless those Egyptians. All hail Egypt.

you're right, they play a defensive formation of 3-5-2, where they defend together and hit on the counter-attack, that's why they were able to beat there opponents by large margins, especially cameroun who play a more open game.
For all those Egyptian fans out there, sorry for the disrespect, even after you guys beat cameroun i didn't take you guys seriously enough but after shockingly beating the ivorians, i would say for real that the Pharoahs are legit.

Truth of the matter is that if the americans were as dumb as us they wouldn't have been able to put a man on the moon, they wouldn't have built the atomic bomb, they wouldn't have the best universities in the world (Caltech, MIT, Harvard etc), and they wouldn't have become the worlds most dominant superpower within a space of just 400 years.
