Has anyone seen Semi-pro? I saw it last night and could not stop laughing, its a classic, Will ferrel is a genius, in fact, he is the greatest comedic actor of our age, whatever the guy touches always seems to turn to gold. Plus the guy seems to be a great guy, he didn't forget some of his co-stars from Saturday Night Live and he keeps inviting them to play roles in his movies. |
@skyblue Africa it seems is trying to find its place in the world order, maybe it is time it focused more internaly than this begging for foreign investors. Spend time to develop the countries and see if other countries in other continent won't want to come. You are so on point but the thing is that it would take a much longer time, it took singapore, malaysia, hong kong and the other Asian tigers 40 years to develop their economy, it has taken China less than 20 years. Do you think that Nigeria has another 40 years especially with the insurgency in the Niger Delta, we have to placate this dudes as fast as possible or else we would lose them and in turn lose the entire country. |
did you ever watch him fight, tosinadeda, if no please be quiet. |
The food is so annoyingly monotonous and in some cases, extremely bland. In fact, i take that back, they don't have any food at all, all they do is make some concortion. Majority of them eat out and all they do is eat Mickey D's which is the mother of all bad food or subway and those other pathetic restaurants and don't even mention Soulfood, that's the worst because even though it tastes good, it will kill you because it is so unhealthy, that's why African Americans have the highest diabetes and heart disease cases in the country. Boy, do i miss mr. Biggs. In yanki, some of the foods can kill that's why they usually end up with Cancer's and other terminal illnesses, canned foods are usually the culprit and there chicken which is fed with so many chemicals to make it grow larger and when they store it and sell it, it usually has some artificial chemicals added to it to preserve it. Looking on the bright side, at least i don't leave in Europe, outside of Italy, from what i've heard, European food is the worst. The English have no food all, all they eat is fish and chips ha ha ha and the French eat Duck. Even the italians with all there mastery in cooking eating some of there food can cause diarrhoea because they put too much olive oil. But on a serious note, i need some advice that's why i came to this more popular forum. In the place where i live there is no African store so i can't buy Egusi's, stock fish and other naija ingredients, that means i have to make do with what i have, so please Naija people give me any tips on how to make some home cooking. WARNING: In this era of globalization, please make them no bring mickey d's come naija. |
It seems as if you are psychic, this is the same thing i keep telling people, in fact, i was thinking about it yesterday that China which was poorer than most African countries at the beginning of the 90's have one of the largest GDP's in the world and they are the fastest growing economy. That's why we Africanos have to sell our country well and not let in these Western journalists like BBC or CNN spoil our image, in fact, Al-Jazeera is the only foreign media outlet that portrays the Africa me and you know and not the ones on the CNN's. We seriously need to launch a PR campaign to improve the face of the continent and we need to restrict western journalists from our country that's how China did it. Imagine, just after a few years of Tianamen that shocked the whole world, Western companies were flooding there like mad. If the West finds out about the real things that were going on and are still going on, some of them might be too scared to invest there. China had well over 50,000 rural uprisings last year, but you don't see it in the news, the country has over 50 ethnic minorities that are coerced together by the brutal force of the state, it also is the most restrictive country in the world, christianity and all forms of religion are disallowed, it is a God-less state but usually stuff like this don't get leaked out to the media because the chinese would do anything to protect their image. |
real food that can kill you. There food is so incredibly unhealthy its not even funny, why do you think that African Americans die the most from heart disease and diabetes even more than whites and Latinos. |
Novacaine He is the greatest fighter of all time, the guy has accomplished everything they asked of him, what more do you want him to do end up like Ali? |
lepa. |
@redsun find blackman wearing suits very funny, even in the west, not to talk of africaThat is the most racist comment ever? Thank God people like you don't run the country if you did everybody would be going to work all thugged out with there bandanas, their doo-rags, baggie jeans sagging to the bottom and a singlet with braids or dreadlocks on, while the girls would be wearing bikini, or skimpy shorts to the corporate board meeting. From what you said about dress codes it seems that you are still a kid though, but boy oh boy you sure do have a lot of learning to do. For your information, everybody round the world wears full suit and tie irrespective of the weather, in asia where it is brutally hot and humid especially in places like vietnam infact the entire middle east, South America, Asia and even in the carribean, people wear full suits. It is not a white man's thing it is a corporate thing, it is not colomentality, it is a business thing, it is not a racial issue it is a globalization thing so please keep your ignorant comments to yourself. Also, if you hate the West so much why are you in there country, why don't you go back home instead. @coolier Have you ever seen our men in big flowing agbada and socks? I have, you see them at weddings and their offices. And they look so patheticThat is the worst comment ever Mrs. Donatella Versace. In the middle east, people were their flowing gowns from there culture, does that make them stupid. Geez, think before you talk will ya. My goodness! i can't believe i just wasted 20 minutes of my life responding to this, a good 20 minutes i would never get back. |
France is way too stacked from head to toe that they didn't even bring some of there other star players like Trezeguet who was the second highest goal scorer in the serie A and even a resurgent Djibril Cisse. |
Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather is retiring at only 31, the man was supposed to fight Oscar de la Hoya for an 8 figure pay and we were expecting a fight with contenders Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito, now he is retiring. He says that he is retiring because his heart is not in it anymore, this leaves a lot of fans angry at his decision. Let's hope he un-retires like he did 2 years ago. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3429729 |
A-40: Did you just say there was anything wrong about Kobe's J I hope i didn't read right. The man had an off shooting night every superstar has it even MJ had it. There is no way he is going to have a repeat of that again. If there are players jumpers that you should critic, it should definitely not be kobe's. |
Miami heat should draft Derrick Rose to play alongside D. Wade to take some of the load of him, the serious injuries he has had is making him damaged goods plus he has not yet developed a consistent jump shot. |
If you don't like there show, then i suggest that you should watch "Primetime Love" with Deion Sanders. Its a show about him and his family, its one of the coolest and wittiest one out there. @SeanT21 Who said that Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian are not a perfect couple, please be quiet. |
@naijaking1 Who is this guy? I remember having another conversation with another adult, i can't seem to remember ever involving you in this conversation and by the way, with all the childish name-calling it seems i am talking to some really immature people and not adults. |
Sorry, i take that back, the UPE was implemented in 1957 during the macpherson constitution when Nigeria was split into three regions. Awolowo was at the forefront of the welfare program that all kids in the western region should have an education and he successfully implemented it, the others, like the Ziks and the Ahmadu Bello's embezzled or misused the money. |
@mallammusa Who said Awolowo gave money to the Ibo's? The british govt did it but they gave it to all three regions, only Awo spent ours well so be quiet and simply acknowledge that you're ignorant on the matter. |
@mallammusa We are tired of hiring the 'best' engineers. Ijaws should be left alone to manage what is rightfully theirs. We have so many trained Ijaw engineers that are still applicants even after 5 years of graduation when their ibo and yoruba classmates whose tribes control communication,IT and the banking industry take over the only thing that is due to them. I think it's better we use indiginous companies to take care of our oil.@mallammusa Its official, you are probably the most ignorant person in the world. You cannot compare education in Western Nigeria to anywhere in the country. The reason is because of Awolowo's universal primary education (UPE) scheme after independence, they gave money to the igbos and the hausas to implement it but they both embezzled it, you can see it everywhere, here in yanki or even in jand, most Nigerian students are yorubas, of all the flagship or at least most recognizable universities in Nigeria three are in the western region UNILAG, OAU, and UI. The southern region has, ehm let's see DELSU and that is one of the reasons why you have more yorubas in the oil industry, IT, banking, and telecommunications, remember, he who has the best educational system always comes out on top. Now back to what you said, there is tribalism in the oil sector, every ethnic group does it, its just that there is more yorubas in the industry so other ethnic groups don't have the chance to do it to them. Also, concerning managing your resources, i really don't want to comment on that because it would be like trying to explain the Black-Scholes formulae to someone in kindargaten. All i have to say is that if you have the money, try to come to yanki and get a degree in Petroleum in some good and affordable university like Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, or University of Oklahoma and you would see how horrible your statement is. I would just live it at that. |
Bleak, really bleak. |
SeanT21 Is there something wrong with you? don't you know that Soul Food is very VERY bad for your health, no wonder black americans have the highest diabetes rate in America. On a side note, my friend from naija was talking to another naija lady who was in hospital, she is a nurse and she said she is having so many problems mostly because of yanki foods. The lady has been here since she was 15, she is pretty old now and she is having all this kidney problems despite the fact that she doesn't drink. Yanki food is poisonous especially, the canned foods and the chicken. The chicken is fattened unnaturally with so many chemicals and the canned foods are already laced with chemicals so constant exposure to it (probably 2 decades) eventually results in some sickness or the other, that's why yanki people have so many sicknesses that we don't have like brain cancer, brain tumor e.t.c. |
How could you be happy about this? do you know how many people would lose there jobs over this especially those with kids in the US to support. Let's watch as unemployment rises and the only source of revenue dry up. |
Peter Schmichel hands down!!! |
the man has nothing left in the tank. Either way, thanks for the memories Okocha God bless you all the days of your life. |
@akyns Agahowa is at either Reading or Wigan in the premiership. @gabe logan I actually heard Ogbeche was 17 when he debuted with the national team and yes a friend of mine told me that he did go to FGC Okigwe. |
Yepa!!! they don commot my Pistons o and from what i am hearing from our president, Joe Dumars it seems a couple of players would be leaving with Flip Saunders. |
Let's give credit where credit is due, it seems the guy has done OK. |
What kind of xenophobic thread is this? and you guys would have the audacity to blame the South Africans, as if we are better. You better stop this nonsense thread jare. |
mrs. malaysian I am so sorry for all the nonsense those people did, those are the bad eggs amongst us, just don't look at it in terms of race, there are bad people of every ethnicity, we have our own bad eggs like you guys have yours so just simply look at them as criminals and not Nigerian criminals, also to be honest most Nigerians migrate to the US or Europe and definitely not Malaysia which means that you get mostly our bad eggs. So let's not demonize all the Nigerians that go there because some come as students while some come to eke out a living and end up doing criminal things. |
Nemanja vidic had pissed him off and said something about him being a "diver", and throughout the match, they were battling each other as Nemanja was tightly marking him, there was a lot of pushing and shoving so it was inevitable that Didier Drogba would look for an opportunity to slap him. |
This is one of those sad stories of kids that were rushed too early too soon to the spotlight. Credit his demise to shuaibu amodu and the nigerian media who pushed the boy so early to join the national team despite just breaking in to first team at PSG, they should have let the boy develop for at least 2 years. I remember that the boy was introduced to the National team as a result of a spur-of-the-moment reaction by the NFA to disband the national team just a couple of months before the World Cup. Instead of keeping the team intact and introducing a couple of new players, they decided to start from scratch at the behest of millions of Nigerians. Shuaibu Amodu like many detractors out there don't know that the majority opinion is not always the right opinion they failed to realize that every kid is different, and that every player has a different growth curve; some players blow up early like the Ronaldo's and the Messi's, and some develop late like the Luca Toni's, in fact for every Michael Owen there is a Nii Lamptey and for every Rooney there is a Berkant Goktan. The morale of the story is that this kids should be allowed to develop both mentally, physically and football speaking before being introduced to the highest so as not to shatter their confidence. By the way, there is a reason why Bojan Krkic is not playing in the Euros, hint hint: its not because he is not good enough. |
i can't believe this, they shouldn't have seated a single one of them, rules are rules and they are meant to be followed or you face the consequences of your actions. |
hey hey mr dangermous, i don't remember ever discussing with you, i remember having an intelligent discussion with another adult not a young, immature kid, so go play somewhere else. |
