Nothing, absolutely nothing at all, it is extremely horrible being single. |
Nothing good about polygamy. |
First of all, abeg before una go kill me, just cool off (breathe iiiiiiin and breathe out) before posting anything on this board. This is the problem with Nigerian leadership; knee jerk reactions and spur of the moment decision making. They need to teach our leaders and administrators not to make decisions in the heat of the moment when they are all impassioned and emotional. They should step back for like a month, cool off, assess the situation from a broader perspective, gather info. from every corner and make decisions without outside influence (public sentiments) from the fans because we all know that fans are very fickle. When you win, you're the best thing since sliced bread but when you loose everything turns sour, that's why we don't need administrators who are unstable as the fans. Last time we hurried to make a rash decision was in the 2002 Nations Cup when we lost to Senegal, our brilliant minds at the FA thought it would be a great idea to disband the national team just 3 months before the World Cup and see what happened. Meanwhile Germany who got destroyed by England in Berlin 5-1 (worst defeat ever) and had a uneasy road to the world cup kept their cool and ignored public sentiment to fire the coach and they got all the way to the world cup finals loosing narrowly to Brazil (who knows what would have happened if Michael Ballack had not being suspended for the match?). Another problem we have is lack of continuity in the coaching ranks. Who knows what we might have accomplished had we kept Clemens Westerhoff, we might have been on the same level with the big boys by now, instead, our geniuses at the FA decided to send him packing since they claimed that they couldn't afford to pay him (i guess Alex Akinyele, Sanni Toro and the others wanted part of the money that FIFA gave us for getting to the world cup and making the second round: over $10 million). It will take time for Berti Vogts to instill his style of play on us, the guy has only been here for a while, so you guys should be patient abeg. Truth of the matter is that the only problem we had in the Nations cup was that we didn't have a good midfield to supply our strike force with the ball, we shouldn't just overhaul the entire team because of what the fans think, remember leaders are meant to lead and do what's best for the organization and not do what the fans think is right. Also speaking of leaders, its not Berti Vogts fault that a decade after Ammunike's retirement we still can't find a replacement in a country of 140 million. Instead of investing in our soccer program by establishing soccer academies like the highly regarded Clairefontaine academy in France, they embezzle it and expect the coach to work miracles out of thin air. Remember, this man has very few resources to work with, and he doesn't have the right personnel (players) for his style of play. He doesn't have a good league so he can scout players, he has to be sending his own people to be taking trips to obscure places like Cyprus, Malta to see if there is any Nigerian playing there worthy of the Super Eagles shirt. Abeg make una leave am jare. ehn ehn, by the way, do you know how much it will take to buy out his contract? you all would have to donate your yearly salary for four years to do that and since you don't want to just shut up. The man has a $1.5 million buyout clause so oya everybody let's start donating. |

@eclairs Concerning maturity, they might not be truly U17 but the truth of the matter is that they they still play U17 ball and are simply not good enough for the senior level yet, mentally, and football wise. They lack the IQ and football knowledge to perform at this level. Remember the Spanish boys they beat with penalties in the world cup, only Bojan Krkic is playing right now for Barcelona and has not yet being called to the senior squad, if it was naija, everybody would be shouting that they should throw him into the mix immediately. Anyone remember what happened to those little kids that we threw into the fire? Opabunmi, Ogbeche and co. last time i checked they fell off the radar. Thank God people like y'all are not soccer officials, just because you saw messi, michael owen, Rooney, and Anelka blow up at such a young stage doesn't mean that everybody can do it, on average it takes this kids 5-7 years to be ready for showtime because lets face it most of this kids are late bloomers (at least 80%), it will take them quite a while to mature, especially the midfielders, defenders and even some strikers, remember Jaap Stam and van Nistleroy didn't blow up until there early 20's. Don't forget that for every Francesc Fabregas, there is a Nii Lamptey, and for every Ronaldo there is always a Berkant Goktan. |
what a pity i felt so sad i almost cried, may his soul rest in perfect peace. |
We don't kiss in public not only because its not our culture but because its stupid. Even African Americans don't kiss in public, naija sef we don too watch waaaay too many yanki movies. Nonsense, minister of culture and tourism should ban all yanki movies from naija jo. |
Chris Rock hands down. Chris Rock is even funnier than Dave Chappelle. The only gimmick Bernie Mac has is his voice. |
are you serious ? you want to throw our boys into the fire, its as if you've not being watching the nations cup, do you see how physical and extremely fast the players in the nations cup are, our eaglets can't even beat Benin (those guys were extremely fast and muscular). It would take an average of 5-7 years for our eaglets to mature even Christanus (even though he be "agbaya" . As much as you hate the eagles, there only weak link has been the midfield, that's why our vaunted strike force have been sub par, that's why our administration comes in, if our soccer federation cannot create soccer academies like the widely acclaimed Clairefontaine Academy in France or cannot unearth another okocha or Ammunike after almost a decade in a country of 140 million soccer enthusiasts, then you know we have a problem. Lets just pray John Fashanu runs for FA president. |
Tom Brady is injured, he was found with a cast on his leg while outside the apartment of his supermodel girlfriend Gisselle Bundchen in New York. |
this is treason. |
very very very very necessary, God please provide me with the right one o. |
give him time, it takes a while to translate ideas (in this case tactics) into results, afterall, Rome wasn't built in a day. The problem with Nigerian football is lack of continuity, can you imagine were we would be if Westerhof was still at the helm of our eagles but the NFA decided to fire him simply because they didn't want to pay him. |
Nothing special about being single, absolutely nothing, i don't want to sound desperate but yes i really am. heeeelp. |
Its about time, woman have been hiding for so long, can anyone remember the "Better Life for Women" scheme that Miriam Babangida used to decieve us while she was looting on the side. Also, the ministry of women affairs should be scrapped, women dey use embezzle money, its as if the women are competing with there male counterparts in the art of corruption and they are trying hard to make up for lost time. |
stalker alert |
@panafrican I saw the picture in the library and couldn't stop laughing that some people were looking at me. It is sooooooooooooo incredibly hilarious. ![]() |
skin color is superficial y'all |
Oma se o |
Klinsman is a breath of fresh air and represents the new school, unlike his predecessor Hitzfeld, who although is a great coach is still stuck in the good old west german system. |
The Jags were amazing last week but they got beat the Pats just like i said, and who could have guessed that Peyton Manning would lose to the chargers at home and his inconsistent brother would beat my cowboys in dallas, what a sad day for 'em cowboys. On a side note, congratulations on the Packers beating the Seahawks and going to the NFC championship game. By the way, did anyone see the Vince Young's titans get knocked out of the playoffs? With the way the chargers beat them and shut down VY, i would have prefered to watch the high scoring Cleveland Browns instead. |
How credible is the sun newspaper, i am sure its like national enquirer here in the US or some gossip tabloid. If what they are saying is untrue, then OBJ should sue them for slander and defamation or even tell Yar'Adua to shut them down. |
Let's be honest, the guy had it coming. |
That was incredibly saaaad, i read some magazine the other day, GQ to be exact where Dr. Dre said that this guys would have made more money if they stayed together. I think they would have even cornered the market, but their foolish egos got in the way, either way, its useless crying over spilt milk. |
pissed off. |
ETHNOCENTRISM even though i am naija born and raised, that is by far the dumbest comment ever, when would you people learn that skin color is superficial. |
WEEZY F. BABY |
No!!! she is not that talented and she doesn't have the same sex appeal as B, in other words she is way tooooooooo lepa-STIC he he he ![]() |
Cassie be as good as B herself? not in this lifetime. ![]() |
, and the LSU Tigers are national champs. woooooh |
The wild card games last week were amazing including the Redskins/seahawks game, the pittsburgh/jaguars game. Speaking of the Jags, who knows they might beat the patriots next week . Just joking, as good as they are, they can't beat the pats, they can beat indy anyday sha. |
I didn't like the initial selection of the guy but they signed a contract with the guy and they should pay him his money abi what kind of nonsense is this? |
