Tiny23:
People will see a man washing his clothes and instead of minding their business, they'll say "Ahh Oga Ejike, go and marry so you'll stop washing".

They'll see a man cooking and be like "Bro Ade, you need to get married so you can stop cooking".

A mother will look at his 35years old son who cannot wash his own boxers, boil water for tea or even make his own bed, a 35years old that cannot take his plates to the kitchen after eating and tell him "James, you need to settle down, get a woman to take care of you". SERIOUSLY??

In different ways, the society subconsciously tell men that they don't marry women for any reason other than cleaning, cooking and childbearing. I begin to wonder, does the average man need a wife or a glorified maid?

Many women look 3times their age all because of stress and exhaustion. You sit down in front of the TV with your phone and watch your wife work until she's about to pass out. REALLY??

Men, who told you that it is wrong to wash your own plates?

Who told you that it is wrong to wash your own clothes?

Who told you that it is wrong to dress your bed when you wake up?

What will it take to help your partner with chores in the house?

If a man wanted to be adopted as a child to be pet, pampered, fed and nursed. Then, he need not to seek marriage, he should rather offer himself up for an adoption at a motherless home to be picked up.

BUT If you want a wife, who you would love, cherish, do different things with, assist in some chores, and love her for the rest of your life, then get married.

AND if you are getting married because you feel you're becoming too old to do your own chores then get a maid.

Women are to be cherished, pampered and loved, not USED. Likewise men too
Man, it's all about parenting. How you raise your kids especially the male child matters a lot.

See these holier than thou Crittens talking about human rights violations and what not, was it not their own solider Chelsea Manning that exposed their attrocities against human rights in a 700 page document with video evidences to Wikileaks of US military carrying out airstrikes against unarmed civilians in various countries overseas. They can shove their planes up their asses and ride to hell with it.
The more they delay with the sale of these aircrafts the upper hand bokoharam gets.
And by the way what kind of dumb military officials do we have in this country for Christ's sake. Is it only US we can buy weapons from? Russia is there ever, able and willing to sell aircrafts to Nigeria at a cheaper rate sef instead of those world war 2 relic planes US wanted to sell to us at an exorbitant rate.
How dare the Americans refuse to sell there weapons to a country that kills its own people? How dare they?

Staying together is not by force, let's restructure or part ways. The south cannot feed the north forever , some cannot choose to be beggars while others are working .
You do know that most of Nigeria's agricultural produce like tomato etc do come from the North right? because apart from rice, a lot of Agricultural products don't do well in really wet environs. Not only that but the southern climate allows for a lot of diseases for a lot of Agricultural products. Even livestock like cows suffer from diseases spread by mosquito. So abeg stop sleeping on the North. If they can get there act together, they can truly be an Agricultural force in Nigeria and parts of West Africa and Central Africa.

NIGERIA SHOULD BE RESTRUCTURED....
Where there exist equal rights and justice,no body would think of separation...
Buhari's Administration has only created more division than unity. The peaceful existence of the Nigeria state has never been this threatened since the dawn of Democracy.
But what exactly did he do against the ibos? Did you ever hear him say anything bad about ibo people? Did he urge Nigerians to turn against them and kill them? Did he disparage them like Donald Trump did to a certain number of Americans? What exactly did he do or not do? The fact that he didn't appoint many people from the east does not mean he hates people from the East biko.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooo Awesome. Why didn't anyone think of this before instead of fighting online with the Ghaniains why not just settle it in the kitchen. Heck this should be a tv about what African country has the best cooks or dishes.

In addition to that, why not create a cooking competition between the states or different ethnic groups in Nigeria about who has the best traditional dishes (and they must be unique to your tribe). That would be something i will like to watch.

With the level of tribalism I see on every tread these days I think the 3 major languages we have In Nigeria are our major problem, they've bn causing problems for us since 1900
It's the failure of leadership my brother. We have not had a leader who has exhorted the country to put our petty differences aside and unite as a country. Look at Rwanda, since Paul Kagame has been in charge for the mosr part he has abolished tribal classifications that Rwandans hardly refer themselves this days as Hutu or Tutsi but as Rwandans. Nigeria has never had any of the sort.

The first thing a visionary leader should have done was to abolish this whole pathetic 'state of origin' nonsense as it has hardly being of any noticeable value to Nigeria. It just enforces the divisions we have in this country. If you live in a place for a certain number of years or you were born there then that's where you are from not some stupid state of origin. This is how you integrate the country.

Tomato doesn't usually do well in wet conditions that's why the tomatoes thrive in the North.

Nice piece. But why don't we have more people plant it in the south. That will reduce the transportation component of the cost.
Probably because tomato doesn't grow well in wet conditions. Just like livestock (specifically cows) suffer a lot from diseases in the South.

Great insight from you
Bros, the way Nigeria is run is the reason why things hardly work. Almost everything is run from the central instead of by the local communities who know there needs best.
Yesterday someone was complaining that the Fed govt did not build a seaport in the South South and I was so furious at that statement because that should be left to the local govt. Go out and raise money and build your own port. This way of thinking has to stop. Nigeria truly needs a transformational leader who understands how a capitalist system works and who can change the way the people think.

The land belongs to God and to the government.

Read the Land Acts of 1962 /(Land Tenure Law)

The people should shut up and accept their fate.
And this is why Nigeria is still poor. The lack of strong property rights and a strong legal system.
For any country to be wealthy there needs to be a strong emphasis on property rights. The govt has no right to just come and take my land when they see fit. If I own land and I find gold or oil on it the govt has no right to take my land or my oil. Its so sad that most people dont have a foundational understanding of how capitalism and govt are supposed to work. Later on they will say the reason Africa is poor is because of the West. Someone needs to give all the governor's (And leaders) a copy of Adams Smith's book The Wealth of Nations. it definitely should be required reading for all of them.

Are you for real huh

But this sentiments no doubt represents the feelings of most Nigerians who are worried by what will become of the country if the Igbos are allowed to secede.

Hate them all you will, the value and the ever enterprising spirit of the Igbos is second to none.

I'm for one and a big united strong Nigeria where the right of everyone will be guaranteed!
The guy is wrong and so is the national assembly. This bill is really stupid.
This shows That Nigeria truly needs a revolution. Not a bloody one but one that changes the way a lot of people think: that for an economy to reach its potential, the govt cannot be the main driver. It has to be the free market and that development is a two way street. It should not only be about top down policies but bottom up policies. In other words, let the people develop there own region and communities at their own pace instead of this so called model where the Fed govt runs everything. If you want to build your own seaport or your own airport go out and get loans and build it. This is how things work in developed countries.
This so called South East developmental commission is just another way to expand the govt and lead to more corruption just like the Niger delta development commission. We need a smaller and efficient govt not a bloated and wasteful bureaucracy.

We have crossed the Rubicon in the IPOB movement. We are tired of staying together in error. Take everything we have worked together for, let us GO. The North have refused to grow, and have prevented us from growing. Right now, we want to grow on our own. .
