frenchwine: Brother pls don't make unintelligent guesses. It's soo off! If I ask you why you opted for a ready made dress instead of a tailor made; or why you preferred a chemist prescription over going to the hospital, would you also spew this putrid stuff? Think before you speak. The question you should be asking is how many trained doctors do we have in this country? And when I mean trained I mean by world class standards not the ones that can barely do a correct diagnosis And most importantly, how many of this guys do we have per capita? In other words, what is the doctor to population ratio? Show me the numbers then we can have a discussion or else there is nothing else to talk about sir. Have a good day. |

Ovamboland: Do you know how many Nigerian's will apply for the China visa lottery if they start one? Compare that to the number of Chinese who desire to become Nigerian citizen if invited.
Coal burning is one of the traceable reason for this reality. You guys still fail to appreciate the enormous dislocation lack of power is causing this country.
If salvation resides in Solar and other renewable, what do you think is stopping China that actually makes its own solar panels from closing it's coal power plants and replace them immediately with solar? It is now us that knows not how to make anything that is now better placed to see the reliability of and cost effectiveness of solar? Have you done the analysis? Cost benefit ratio, reliability or it's just a hunch feeling?
Even USA with high income cannot do away with coal just like that. It was even a hot issue at the last general election.
LOL at Nigerian's who dream of becoming an industrial giant but are afraid of smoke and accident.
Poverty is a far worse affliction than pollution. Bros Nigeria does not have to be like the U.S. It can be a leader in green energy like the scandinavians are. Nigeria should be looking to be more like Denmark, Sweden and other countries with a higher standard of living and higher quality of life than the U.S. A close friend of mine worked in China some years ago and while he was there his brother came to visit and he said when the brother went outside, he threw up because the atmosphere is so polluted it's not even funny. There is so much smug in a lot of Chinese cities so yes I will take clean breathable air over runaway "industrialization". Have you ever wondered the health issues that come with an extremely polluted environment? Do you even know what the health costs are? If you want to know them move to Mexico city and find out. Bros one thing you would learn as you grow up is that all the money in the world is nothing without good health. Health is wealth. |

Vicoch: I wonder who ever discovered that shit that tobacco plant repel snakes....
Well i don't know if tobacco is it's real name, but that's what everybody calls it.
Had to even kill everything, it just surrounded the whole house, making the whole house look ugly (to me)
I was just going to get something outside when i saw a snake under the plant, I rushed to get a cutlass, but when i returned, it has disappeared into the soak away (abi na sock away), with only half of it's body outside.
Was unable to kill the dangerous animal, i was really annoyed to lose it, but, at least i scattered the plant ... Picture below.
Lalasticlala mynd44 I am sorry bro but I don't think that is tobacco. |

Romance › Re: What My Guy Did Yesterday, He Fell My Hand by davidif: 4:12pm On Mar 07, 2017 |
jonaifame22: Good day all, I hope ur day has been fine, well mine has been fine too,jus that my guy don shit for altar inside church.
My guy and his girlfriend have been rolling for a year and half now and things seems to be going on fine for them both, buh along the line my guy's attitude changed maybe due to insecurities on his part, my guy's girlfriend is beautiful and I mean it I'm so sure when she passes by a statue the statue will turn it's head, buh my guy keeps accusing this gal of cheatn maybe because he's jobless and even at that his gal doesn't ask him for money, she simply beleives in his dreams that he always outlines to her.
But the way he's treating this gal doesn't go down well wth me, there was a time she came around to my shop and she was crying saying that my guy slapped her cos he accused her of flirting wth a guy who was talkn to her on the road and the said guy was her primary school classmate, I've tried to calling him out for this unruly behaviour of his and he'll promise to change buh he won't, the other time he seized her fone and gave her after two days later.
Now he did it again two days ago when she went to visit and she wouldn't have sex wth him then he forced himself on her and after the sex when she told him she won't see him again,he then threatened her and I dnt know what happened between them and he pounced on her beat her and tore her blouse, she then took pictures and came to show me yesterday, and when she narrated everything to me she was crying and I was moved to tears buh I refused to shed tears wth her, I jus went out to watch my face and I returned, my guy is really falln my hand and the thing is paining me, so I took her out and we went to see a movie at sabo yaba, unknown to us he saw us and then he trailed us and when we were done as we were leaving the hall and and was going home, he called us frm behind near the army barrack and started shouting and calln me names and also calln his girl an olosho, that I've gone to sleep wth her and he knows I've always had my eyes on her and that I'm not the kind of guy some one can leave a girl with and still come back and meet the girl the same way infact people gathered and he tried to hit his girl and I defended her and he hit me severally but I didn't hit back, if we had fought he can't beat me cos I trained in boxing for two years before entering university and I had to quit and I went for some boxing competitions too so I'm quite good, I'm not blowing my trumpet, so I didn't hit him back cos it doesn't make sense, then soldiers came out and told us to kneel down and after a while gave us cutlass to clear grass. I had to beg them for the girl to go home that she's not feeln fine and I will cut whateva portion that has been alloted her and after the whole grass cutting we went home and he came to me this morning wth some boyz and they threatened me. Although he's gal came to see me yesterday night and she gave me some drugs cos we did frog jump (me and her boifriend cos of the noise he was making close to the army camp) so as I lay on the table in my shop she was apologising and her hand was on my chest, buh I didn't want to think anything konji related, she has vowed to break up wth him cos he's been calling her since yesterday buh she won't pick up and I know he has an evil plan for me, buh I'm watching wth my eagle eye First of all, you shouldn't be going out with a girl when she has a boyfriend. Especially if her boyfriend happens to be your friend. That's just wrong. Secondly, you should have encouraged her to run from the relationship. That's been your brother (or sisters) keeper. Thirdly, you should have confronted your friend any time he beats her but you kept on looking. |

greenpasture: Trumps executive order included " extreme vetting" Immigration officials can use discretion to void a visa. America has always reserved the ri to turn people back at the gates. What is different is how it is currently being exercised.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with Dabiri's warning. A person in her position has significant off the record back channel chat with foreign consular officials. These non attributable chats can reveal current attitudes and interpretations of immigration.
She was right to warn and the accuracy of the notice has been borne out. Let not turn what is administrative into a political tennis match.
She did well by Nigeria. Finally a sane post. I wish we could move your post to the top of the thread. The misinformation and sheer stupid comments on this thread is just something else. |

ttmacoy: The previous executive order wasn't in effect 2 weeks ago hence if 4 Nigerians were truly turned back it wasn't because of trumps executive order but for something else.
Also with the number of flights that fly from Nigeria to America everyday we can agree more than 4 people flew to America which means majority entered except 4.
I wouldn't be surprised if their visa was cancelled for immigration fraud or something. Dabiri's travel advice is irresponsible and just scare mongering.
Besides the guy has been clear of his intentions and has never targeted legal migration from Nigeria. Dude, there have been several instances of legal residents of the U.S who went outside the country only to be detained when they returned. The other day I read about a popular Argentinian artist who has lived in New York for 10 years and went back home to visit only to be detained for 14 hours at the airport when he got back. He wasn't even allowed to communicate with anyone via phone the entire time not even a lawyer. After everything, he was deported back to Buenos Aires. |
