PoliticsRe: Katsina College Releases Buhari’s WASC Results by dBard: 9:27pm On Jan 21, 2015
SirShymex:
Lol. If folks can compromise logical thinking for sycophancy and stupidity, then their existence needs to be questioned. When you attack, make sure it's something that's legit, with no holes, if you don't want people running circles around your square - thus making you look utterly stupid in the process. No learned person would buy this nonsense.

And nah, our children are going to be Anala Beevers-esque with an IQ of 145 by age 4 (I need to create a thread for the young black genius). grin

Shalom!
That compromise is what makes Nigerians appear so dumb. Every issue is judged on the grounds of sentiments rather than along the lines of reason and logic.
It's highly disappointing this whole mess is bin played out with someone supposedly incorruptible as Buhari.

This result release is just too convenient to be convincing.
Let the confirmation be done and let's move on.

ish is sickening.
PoliticsRe: Shehu Musa Yar'adua Entered Army 1959, How Did He Write Exam 1961 Na???? by dBard: 6:10pm On Jan 21, 2015
This is really unfortunate.
Wikipedia is not a perfectly reliable source to ascertain the time of Yaraduas enlistment, but so isn't a pic of students which could be either a school pic or a class pic...doesn't prove nothing.

Buhari/apc should be careful how they handle this as he is gradually losing credibility the longer this drags on. It's the present talk of the town and most isn't favorable to him..well here tho.
He could've done without the press conference I.m.o.
That no. seems laughable from someone that couldn't remember his phone no. and doesn't convince most ppl.

Watching how it all plays out tho.

Buhari, the man of integrity, has lied under oath.
This is not about the certificate anymore, but how a man that is bin sold as d epitome of uprightness has turned out not to be so.

All these silly arguments aren't necessary.
Let the courts decide.

Disappointed tho.

That Chad and Cameroon have been empathetic and in cahoots with the boko haramites is almost not in doubt.
This insurgency has provided a means for them to fight a proxy war on Nigeria to undermine the Nigerian authority and further their interest.
I view this latest development with a high degree of suspicion...Let's hope it's not the Putin strategy bin played out here...help, hold, annex.

The Church should be non-partisan
The Church IS non-partisan.

This constant dabbling of the Church in the politics of today can only have negative consequences.

If the Church is busy campaigning and being distracted, who then is praying, intervening on behalf of the nation.

No one knows God's Will especially considering..our duty as Christians is to pray for the peace of the land and enthronement of a righteous person through prayers and the power of our votes.

If you read the article at all, you'd note that Buhari was invited to the US. Given the current climate of world-wide escalation of violence by Islamist extremists (not true Moslems), various key world leaders are being invited to the US for very important security meetings.

Having just returned from the US, I can tell you that US TV stations have been filled with news reports about Nigeria, Boko Haram, and lack of leadership by GEJ in addressing the problem. I even heard very prominent foreign policy experts state that GEJ is not adequately arming the millitary because he is afraid a well-armed millitary can threatened his government. SMH

Obviously, the US has long abandoned the clueless one, and Buhari's invitation may be the final nail in the Otuoke bound GEJ's coffin.

Nuff said.
....and in how many 'democracies' has the United states of America intervened that is still left standing or bereft of deep internal issueshuh

killerman47:
This stupid attitude of us is getting out of hand, is black the only race on Earth? Why have africa just choose to constitute problems for themselves and believe their problem should be another man's problem as if she doesn't have her problems to deal with, see the Asians have left us behind standing shoulder to shoulders with the west, tackling their problems , yet we just choose to remain behind , constituting nuisance to the whole world, killing ourselves fighting senseless wars, and expecting the west come to our rescue; how do we ever think we shall be respected or regarded by Them? I just feel like crying anytime I see my country and my race....
Well said, but in my opinion, the whites contributed to a lot of the issues in Africa. From the time of the slave trade when d continent was physically, materially and psychologically raped of resources, to even beyond with the pseudo independence that was granted that still ensured a degree of economic dependence. Even the wars u talked about, a lot has been proxy wars by the powers that be for their own selfish gains.
On the other hand tho, I totally agree with you. It's time we as Africans realize our destiny/ future is wat we make of it. It's time we take absolute pride in our history(as told by those in the know, not through the western eye), our culture, our skin, our color n completely shake off the shackles of the west. The past is the past, let's move on. Africa is a self sustainable, resource rich area, let's step up n make it wat it is.
The Whites DO NOT care about us. The earlier we realize that and grab our destiny with both hands, the better.

FamilyRe: He Wants A Divorce by dBard: 9:07am On Jan 16, 2015
aisha2:
Okay, here goes the story, I am caught in between two friends.

Husband used to work for a bank, he got set up for some fraud which he didn't commit. He tells his wife he is innocent and he will fight it legally. He told his wife who he suspects set him up.
True to his words the guy was promoted to his position while the husband was being investigated. He assures wife he will fight and win as he has evidence to back up his claim.

The man spends 2 months in custody till his case is heard and he is granted bail, he comes out continues the case proves his innocence and the whole web of fraud is discovered. Some big Ogas and the guy he fingered are arrested.

Now here is the problem. He found that his wife was collecting money almost 2 times in the 2 months he was in custody from the man who set him up. She works, even though his own accounts were frozen while he was in custody he made provision for her and the kids before the wahala started. He insists she was party to the set up or she is cheating on him. She says she needed help with lawyer fees. Lawyer says he did most of it pro bono as they were long term friends and the only money he received from her was from the guys brother who living abroad who sent money to help out with legal fees.

The guy wants a divorce, he has moved out, madam is pleading her innocence, people are saying forgive, he is very principled and says no way because he had already told her the guy was his suspect so why even have anything to do with him. She insists she is innocent.

I knew the guy before I knew her, we are all friends but I know him not to ever bend if he believes in something.

I don't know what to say, everyone is already in this issue, I want to ask here what men would do in the guys shoes and if any woman would go to her husband’s enemies for help when he is in trouble
I would walk away.
loyalty IS a big deal, loyalty to your spouse goes without saying.
What if eventually, he couldn't prove his innocence, would he then have been paying her salaryhuh
Greedy ass woman that couldn't see beyond the money.

Reading the comments here, u get the impression this is a classic case of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'. It's a report indicting the present gov't therefore it is correct.
We've conveniently forgotten how CNN tends to run down n sensationalize any bad report coming out from Africa.
Ask yourselves, how believable is that interview??
Wen did anyone here hear of CNN correspondents on ground in Borno or elsewhere.
Where was the interview conducted??
Did the soldier drop names, ranks etc to show he is actually a serving soldierhuh
How was a serving soldier even able to leave his rank n file to do why was done??
Granted, there are issues with Nigerian soldiers n d way the war is being conducted but that report is just derogatory n simply meant to embarrass.

mutter:
This girl was cheating on you. That is hard but we do know that with the situation in Nigeria today, in fact it even happens in some European countries- students are forced into a form of prostitution to fend for themselves.
So I am very careful about outright condemning the girls.

If the soul is left in darkness, sins will be committed. The guilty one is not he who commits the sin, but the one who causes the darkness.
― Victor Hugo, Les Misérables

So basically I blame the politicians and others that made Nigeria what it is today.
She aborted without telling you- that is her right as an unmarried woman. Pregnancy before marriage is hard on the girl and has long term consequences.

The most important thing is that you FORGAVE her and went on to plan marriage.
The sad thing is that you never really forgave her. You just never realized it that you do not have a big enough heart to forgive and forget.

Let me tell you allot of men even husbands of so called virgins are or were in the same position as you. They just did not come on the forum crying.
Be a man and stand to your bride. What counts is that she has changed drastically and she promised to change and you granted her that chance. So what is confusing you now?
I have seen allot of things in my life. So called virgins that turn out to be a nightmare in marriage. Then again women that have even once been in prostitution that turned out to be the most humble and loving wife`s.
Forgiving her and starting a life with her shows character and that you are a real man. Don`T mind some men here that have Ego issues.
O.k... nice advice.

Dude, if u end up marrying that girl, I'll personally fly there,or with any other NLander that wants to come along, search u out, n whoop ur dumb ass till am personally satisfied/fatigued for being inexcusably stupid.

Only married peeps should comment/advice on marital threads like this bf peeps like by van n co cause unnecessary divorces in marriages.

@o.p...looked up ur oda thread,so may have an idea of the 'characters' ur talking about.
That aside, there's almost no one that gets into marriage without expecting some sort of miraculous transformation from their spouse, no matter how illogical it may be. Ur married now, make a conscious effort to drop the habits/characters..but make him understand ur still the same u.
more importantly, put ur foot down on his careless use of d word divorce. Some seeds are best not thrown on fertile ground lest they take root. He Needs To Stop That.

As a guy tho, I can understand the change he's going through, especially with the added blessing of the baby, tho he is handling it very wrongly.
