From Inec to jamb I do not trust any government body in Nigeria, they are full of liars and thieves.

Igbos are hated in this Country, this is the reason why they have always wanted to leave, see the way Igbos in Lagos were treated during the last election by their fellow black Yoruba brothers/Country men. Nobody tries to leave if they are accepted. The fact that Igbos are clamouring for Biafra till date should tell you what is going on in Nigeria.

There's this girl I met..
I sheepishly fell for her after few romantic calls from her
She's fair and pretty.
Then I decided to take her out today,she took a cab which I paid 2k. so we went to an eatery.. then I bought rice and chicken and some stuffs we ate..the bill was 13500, after we were done around 2:35 we left there, she said she wanted to go swimming I then took her to a fancy hotel with an Uber 3k.. on getting there she saw a guy she knew, they exchanged pleasantries which I didn't care about.. turns out that the guy came to swim as well...the swimming was 4k each for both of us.. that's 8k plus the swimming trunks I bought for her that is 3500k...so we freshened up and jump into the pool, i noticed she avoided me inside the pool, always wanting to play alone, and avoided me touching her then I left her on her own..and was swimming alone and having fun, I came back again for her to notice me, she still snubbed me...I left her alone and sat down near the pool when it was raining and there was this cold that pulled me down as I was shivering... meanwhile she was still inside the pool having fun all by herself... until this guy we met when we came.. went inside the pool..I then saw them interacting and I was annoyed..not until I saw him backing her and carrying her around inside the pool while they have fun... Not once not twice, she later came later came to me and ask if I was feeling cold I said yes she said sorry and went back inside the pool...to cut the story short, while I was sitting all by myself interacting with some guys, that guy she was playing with came and told me that my girl said that I was just a friend that he wanted to confirm himself, so he will know he's not offending anyone.. I felt like an idiot, as I went to the dressing room and put on my clothes and left scene looking foolish as she called me back..
On my way back home I bought magic moment vodka.. and drank myself to stupur
Am still high while typing these... What is the problem..I put on an expensive VL shirt with a jogger I bought 21k a slippers of 7k, I sprayed a very nice perfume. I have a very nice facial look...what was the problem if I may ask, I avoided girls like plague all my life and gave this one chance and she made me a fool, am only 23. I think I've learnt my lesson.. my deepest regrets was the whole money I spent, it should remained in my account.. girls fear my return.

I've been observing this for some time now. Once a couple has lived together for ten years,
the closeness between them reduces. As in.. the man no longer sits with the wife to gist or even play. Meanwhile, you'll still see the woman trying to bond and wanting her man to always be around her.

I noticed this in one couple. In fact they are pastor and Mrs. The woman always follows the man every where and wants to sit where he's sitting but the man would clearly avoid her and go out of sight completely when the tailing becomes too much and only come back when the woman is no longer in sight. Why?

No man born of a woman will try such with me, I'll blank you like you're not there.

Women, you too should wise up and stop making yourselves too available. Make yourself a bit scarce and they'll value you.

Hi guys. I usually don't bring relationship issues to Nairaland, but this one is very serious as it concerns the man I am engaged to and scheduled to marry before the end of the year.

I have known him for a year and few months and we are in love. When we started having sex, it was all vanilla and although he was a bit rough; as in throwing me around and putting me in different positions, I was okay with it, and honestly, it was kinda exciting because some of those styles were new to me

However recently things have gotten really weird whenever we are having sex. He requests me to do certain stuff that honestly creeps me out. Sometimes he would tie my hands behind my back so tight and stuff the pillowcase in my mouth, then have his way with me. Sometimes he would blindfold me with my scarf and ask me to beg him to free me, while choking me with his two hands. There was even a time he got a knife and pretended to want to stab me and asked me to play along and act scared. Sometimes he would ask me to forge tears so he would watch me cry while we had sex.

It's gotten real bad that a week ago, I almost passed out when he was doing one of his weird choking sex-plays. In the past I have talked to him about how I didn't enjoy some of these things and how we should do it sparingly or not at all. He sounded like he understood, but after a few weeks he seemed bored and uninterested in normal sex, and begged me to go back to the rough stuff because that's the only thing he likes.

I know he loves me because he takes good care of me and is even friendly with my parents and siblings. But this extreme sex thing is really making me uncomfortable.

I can't imagine going through this sort of sex every day when we eventually get married and live under the same roof.

I need serious advice on the next steps to take.

This is a very tough one.
The girls mother is very bitter. She has been nursing that bitterness all her life since she got pregnant. She doesn't want the man that got her pregnant and abandoned her to reap from the gains that come through the girl.
That is her revenge. To her, that is justice served.

To go see the biological father might not go down well with your mother in law and she will hate you for this.
Since your fiancee and her mother have disowned the man. They have acknowledged the step father as their father and husband, go and honour the step father with the necessary traditional items.

The biological father cannot come out of the blues and reap from where he didn't invest for over 20+ years of the girls life. It is an unfair trade.

Your brother may just be fine and right thinking like anyone else. He just lacks a good opportunity. What kind of employer pays someone 20k for a whole month in 2023? That's more than ridiculous and meagre! Was any contract signed as to when the pay will change and when his training will end? He as an employer assigned him to a client as soon as he resumed, meaning that isn't much of training. His schedule for work is 6 days a week, and probably 12hrs shift a day, for #20,000 ? Why do we think this is right? You did well trying to help your brother, but this opportunity might not be anything near good as it sounds. I'd expect to see the conversation you had with him, and his reasons for leaving . He doesn't like that offer, and he seems coerced to accept it in the first place.

The property shall conform with the existing planning laws and regulations (approved building plan).
The property shall possess sufficient value to recover the loan.
A mortgage property shall be insured against hazards
The loan shall be secured by first legal mortgage of the property between the applicant and the mortgage loan originator and assigned to FMBN.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESSING AN NHF LOAN

Open a savings account with a registered PMB
Contribution to the fund for at least six months prior to application.
Have satisfactory evidence of regular flow of income to guarantee the loan.
Submit photocopies of valid title documents (e.g. C of O).
Approved survey/site plans
Approved building plans
Priced Bill of Quantities where applicable
Valuation report prepared by a firm of registered surveyors and valuers where applicable
Three years tax clearance certificate
Letter of consent to mortgage to your chosen PMB
Completed prescribed mortgage loan application form
Evidence of NHF participation
Copy of pay slips for the previous three months
Equity contribution of personal stake of 30 percent, 20 percent or 10 percent depending on the loan amount applied for loans of N15 million, N10 million and N5 million respectively
Offer letter/Acceptance and Allocation letter (in case of government projects)
In case of registered self-employed applicant, a copy of Articles and Memorandum of Association and a copy of Certificate of Incorporation as evidence of employment status must be submitted.

HOW MUCH TO APPLY FOR

A borrower is entitled to a maximum loan of fifteen million naira (N15, 000,000.00) or as determined by the Bank.
No individual should be given a loan in excess of 90% of the cost or value of the property to be mortgaged.
Equity contribution based on the new loan amounts is as follows:
N15,000,000.00 – 30%
N10,000,000.00 – 20%
N5,000,000.00 – 10%

INTEREST RATE

When I type these words, it's not from a place of hate towards men ( I don't hate anybody) It is from careful analysis of marriages to Nigerian Men which mostly lack genuine love, empathy and kindness. Nigerian Marriages are mostly driven by "needs" and "means" to an end. Too systematic and unnatural and the one with the highest bargaining chip gets the most benefit.

Our mothers didn't teach us enough about Men. They didn't know either until they got married, unfortunately they are still learning about Men too. That is why the popular saying "Ile oko ile eko ni" (Your husband house is a school) is usually the soothing balm to unfavourable experiences a wife has with her husband. One question I always ask myself when I hear these words as parting words of advice for young wife is. Does that mean she is getting married into a strange,unknown and possibly unfavourable world? Why represent her husband as an unending course? And will she ever graduate and be relieved of painful lessons?. Ask these women these questions and they will shake their heads in mockery but the truth is, They weren't taught enough about the Men they are getting married to. How would they when they didn't know who they are either. To understand another person there must be a certain level of self awareness you have reached yourself. This way you have enough level of intelligence to be a perfect judge of character. But when a woman believe all she needs to be is a good cook and good konji reliever then all she will seek is a man who has Kitchen and bed.


Men are the worst in this joke of an institution. Configured to believe all they need to posses is Financial ability to provide. The upbringing of the typical Nigerian Man is very very wrong. Trained with little to no empathy,kindness, self care, sense of belonging, self love but burdened with sense of responsibility brought up like a robot to "provide" only. Most Nigerian men are robotic minded, unable to connect emotionally without aide yet this men are expected to naturally see their brides as a part of themselves. Wishful thinking if you ask me. And when some men luckily achieve this, the society (Men and Women) mock him. Aside this, they don't readily know what they want and are easily tossed by the society.

We create a society devoid of emotional engagement but want the benefits emotions birth. Compassion and affections brings liberty, a man who lacks these will see his wife as his slave and property, he gets to do with her what he seem best and not what is good for her. We really have a long way to go as a Society.
