We have had governors in time past who were perfect gentlemen with finese and carriage that was befitting of the office.

Wike was an imposition by Jonathan and his wife on us. And he is one accident of history that will never happen in Rivers state again.

How Nigerians are able to comfortably deny responsibility after just a few years of dissatisfaction with those they gleefully voted into power is one puzzle which I still can't unravel.
I can't believe that this same Wike whom nearly every Rivers State native here on NL spoke glowingly of and bathed in accolades of being the bold and courageous son of the soil who saved the State from Amaechi's alleged plot to hand it over to APC and by implication the Sokoto Caliphate and also eulogized for being Amaechi's nemesis for assisting Fulani in removing Jonathan is the same Wike now being described as an imposition and accident caused by Jonathan and his wife. Are you suggesting that majority of Rivers State voters preferred to vote for Amaechi's candidate in the APC back then (Peterside or so) and Jonathan used federal might to rig the election in Wike's favour? This is very funny.
It was the same way these crop of Nigerians voted massively for Obasanjo in cahoots with the North in 1999 and 2003 only to turn around later on to accused the North of imposing Obasanjo on Nigeria as if they came out into the streets on voting day and held people's fingers to thumbprint.

During my visit to Portharcourt as recently as April last year Wike was still the man of the people in the eyes of an overwhelming majority of the natives who still held strongly to the opinion that he was their choice in the ballot in 2019 and that a Tonye Cole declaration by INEC as winner would have sparked off a wild and uncontrollable violence as it would have meant massive rigging of the election by Amaechi with federal might.

So when exactly did all these perceptions of Wike suddenly change?

But their daily attack is on Tinubu who has never said anything negative about their 2023 chances or even poked his nose into their affairs directly or indirectly.

It is funny that none of the commentators so far on this thread is able to decipher that by that response Ganduje is only paying Wike back for Wike's sarcastic utterances against him during the Edo election campaign of 2020 in which Wike, who was crazily campaigning for Obaseki then, openly taunted Ganduje as a governor who collects Dollars from all contractors and stuffs it into babariga and PDP members and Obaseki supporters laughed uncontrollably. But today Obaseki has made a fool of Wike and Wike finds himself in a situation whereby he needed to have appolosed to Ganduje first before seeking his support but didn't do so. Put yourself in Ganduje's shoes and see if you won't say something worse to Wike. What goes around comes around.

I can't remember any Igbo man or woman speaking out against Jonathan for cooking up allegations of corruption to remove Ogbulafor as PDP national chairman for Ogbulafor's principled insistence that the PDP did the right thing by way of allowing a Northerner complete Yaradua's tenure before it shifts to the South as contained in the PDP zoning arrangement which even Jonathan himself had once attested to.

In addition, it is not recorded anywhere that some Igbo man publicly berated IBB in 1999 for doling out millions to influence PDP delegates to the favour of Obasanjo who didn't meet a single one of the PDP NWC criteria as against the Alex Ekweme who scored 100% on those criteria and was already ahead of all other PDP aspirations by pure merit.

Then your theory of American spirit of meritocracy and flair for competence dwelling inside Igbos is an empty boast which had no place in existing reality. Else how does one explain how Ikpeazu won a second term by a landslide in Abia at the end of his incompetence-defined first term which was glaring to even a toddler? Or is kerosene sharing now a measure of competence?
How come the Dave Umahi currently showcasing an uncommon competence by moving gigantic infrastructural mountains in Ebonyi with one of the least federal allocations in the entire country is being hated and attempts are being made to hound him out of office just because he chose to belong to a party which is not loved by his people generally?

Most Nigerians are the most hypocritical and despicable beings I have ever seen and I will give my reasons. In the 1960's, while the East was relatively united despite having diverse ethnicities, the North and West were boiling. Ahmadu Bello was having a running battle with some leaders of Northern minorities which culminated in the Tiv riots. He also had serious issues with the NEPU headed by Aminu Kano but the East was peaceful.

Same period, Awolowo was not only betrayed by Akintola, he even connived with the North to have him arrested and imprisoned. It was the crises and fights there that indirectly led to the 1966 coup, then counter coup and eventually civil war. Nothing of such happened in the East despite the fact that Nnamdi Azikiwe, Michael Okpara, Akanu Ibiam and prominent leaders of the minorities were all on ground! Nobody blackmailed the yorubas of being disunited! Nobody accused the Hausa or Fulanis of being disunited!

Much later, Jakande Also betrayed Awolowo again, this time it eventually led to his death and he even said it himself before his suicide. Nobody blackmailed yorubas! What about Bola Ige who was betrayed by Omisore, and till date his murder is still unresolved while the prime suspect is the current secretary of APC!
What about the death of that man that contested against tinubu in 1999 only for him to be murdered? Funsho Williams was murdered in cold blood yet again, till today, his murderers are still walking free! Same thing happened to Bola Ige!!!

Before that, another scammer who calls himself a pastor lied on national TV about how Tafawa Balewa died and cursed Igbos. Tell me which other tribe is guilty of having some of its members taking internal betrayal to such an extent of supporting the Nigerian establishment in killing its own people like Zik and Arthur Nzeribe did in pursuit of either filthy lucre or vainglorious title of "detribalized nationalist".

Niger Delta have two options if Biafra go, a. country of their own or join Biafra, it's like USSR that broke up many countries emerge, if Biafra go out of Nigeria may country will emerge. and mind you Biafra is not landlocked (assuming it's only SE), Anambra has direct acces to Atlantic Ocean through river Niger, Nigeria government failed to develop the sea port.

Well, to the average Niger Deltan, Biafra is not an option at all. The only two options he sees in the case of Nigeria breakup are

1. Niger Delta Republic made up of only the six SS states.
2. Southern Nigeria Republic made up of all the present 17 Southern States.

On the issue of the FG not developing any port along River Niger to the benefit of the SE, you really can't lay the blame on any entity other than the SE herself because under unitary system the FG is overburdened coupled with misappropriation of funds at the center. The fact that even Jonathan, with all the love and support he enjoyed from the SE people, couldn't take the initiative to develop a port for them along River Niger speaks volume of the evil inherent in unitary system. Mind you that unitary system came into Nigeria through SE people.

My point is that no SS state will like to find itself in a country where there will be one single overwhelmingly dominant tribe which excesses will be difficult to checkmate. Niger Delta people feel safer in Nigeria because there are three dominant tribes which checkmate one another. But in a joint SS/SE Biafra, only Igbo will the Behemoth which none of the present SS ethnicities will be able to checkmate. This is the major reason the proposed joint SS-SE Biafra never appeals to the average Niger Deltan.

I wonder what it means to you to work for national unity, else how can you claim you were working for national unity by supporting Jonathan to blatantly violate the PDP zoning arrangement which your very region's political leaders subscribed to in 1998 as a way to enthrench the equity and fairness needed to engender that very national unity?

If after all what you suffered from the first republic through Azikiwe's naive search for a non-existent national unity was not enough to have as at 1999 taught you that national unity doesn't come by making blind and suicidal sacrifices for the convenience of others who don't believe in that national unity, then I doubt you are sincerely wiser now as you are sure to still end up queueing behind Atiku should he win the PDP ticket which is very obvious now.

In 2011, Ogbulafor your fellow Igbo kinsman, took a principled stand against Jonathan's impending violation of the PDP zoning arrangement. In his thinking, if a Northerner was allowed to complete Yaradua's tenure in fair adherence to the PDP zoning, it was a given that the party's ticket would be zoned to the SE in 2015. But Jonathan went to fabricate allegations of corruption against Ogbulafor as weapon with which he removed Ogbulafor as PDP national chairman and replaced him with a Northerner, then he contested and won thus disrupting the zoning and further blighting the hope of future zoning of the party to the SE. In response you folks hailed Jonathan and argued that zoning is not recognized by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In 2015, Jonathan stubbornly contested again thus further burying Igbo chances in future but all you did was to even defend him harder rather than threaten the way you now threaten.

From the scenarios above, it is clear that your threats are empty and not scary enough as you will later queue behind any Northerner that merges as PDP flagbearer.

In 1999 Obasanjo was the candidate of the Caliphate which threw him up in reward for having assisted their brother, Shagari, in the past to power, while Olu Falae was the candidate of the very party of NADECO which had sacrificed lives, resources and emotions to successfully end the Northcentric military succession which had held the country down for nearly 35 years. But against every common sense, Igbos' voted massively for Obasanjo, but have today turned around to accuse Yorubas of being responsible for making the wrong choices and entering into the wrong alliances that have always put the North over the South to the destruction of the country.
The medicine which you Igbos swallow at night to enable you sleep well on your beds after telling blatant lies and revising history with a straight face in the afternoon is something that has to be subject to scientific analyses of its ingredients to see if it can possibly cure other psychological diseases and reprogramm the minds of terrorists, ritualists and kidnappers back to normal human minds so as to save Nigeria of this ravaging and intractable insecurity.

If Dokpesi had chosen to be on the side of the FG thus airing anti-SS narratives those times, he would have made far more money than the SS governors could ever give him. Are you talking of the same Dokpesi who used his AIT in the early 2000s to champion the course of SS presidency titled "The South-South Question" back then? In case you have forgotten, When AIT first came on air in 1998 it had a very professional mien thus was the toast TV station of most Nigerians. But when push came to shove concerning the SS issue especially beginning from after Obasanjo levelled Odi in Bayelsa killing over 2000 innocent women and children, Dokpesi fully converted AIT to a SS-interest-only TV station at the risk of losing its professional appeal. In fact AIT became the voice of the SS as Dokpesi would make sure that any event especially in Bayelsa, Delta, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom reflecting the culture of the SS was covered and aired that very day thus immensely helping to promote the SS identity as being a non-Wazobia territory contrary to the previously held belief that once you aren't a Northerner or a Yoruba, then you are automatically Igbo. AIT was the first to take on the task of going deep into the creeks to interview the Niger Delta Militants and air the videos on national news hours thus championing the media aspect of the struggle for resources control. The overconcentration of AIT on South-South matters robbed it of its initial professional appeal as it became viewed as PDP/SS TV, thus the resulting lack of patronage by other parties and ethnicities plunged it into losses and debts till today. AIT's image would sink further when it continued to promote Jonathan at a time Nigerians were becoming increasingly fed up with his lackluster administration. No SS origin entrepreneur in any business in Nigeria has sacrificed for SS as much as Dokpesi has done. Ironically Jonathan didn't really do anything for Dokpesi's native Edo State as he did for other SS states. So I don't know what exactly you mean by Dokpesi disgracing the SS here. The Amaechi who, despite being a SS person, worked openly against Jonathan in 2015 is not accused of disgracing the SS. In fact some sections of the SS are even promoting his presidential ambition presently.
I have always advised my Edo people to withdraw from the frontline in this SS interest pursuit on the argument that other SS states never appreciate it due to short memory but the average Edo person doesn't seem to understand this yet.
