PoliticsRe: Senate Passes LG Autonomy Bill by Deadlytruth(m): 4:50pm On Mar 01, 2022
SmartPolician:
LGAs don't deserve full autonomy because most of its chairmen lack common sense. You hardly see an LGA chairman who lives in the area they chair. It's just like a governor living in another state. Now, that begs the question: what's the essence of having an LGA chairman?
Some state governors too spend a lot of time holidaying overseas while neglecting governance back in their states.
In my own opinion, LG autonomy is highly welcome. If the councilors in a particular LGA cannot impeach the non-resident chairman for gross misconduct and and negligence of duty, then it is their fault and never the fault of the constitution which has granted the autonomy.

So how will granting them full autonomy address this problem? undecided I do not have anything against them being autonomous but if it means that the citizens won't get value,to what extent then will the autonomy benefit the citizens?
I think this autonomy must be tied with some minimum obligations and efcc should have an operational office in all the 774 LGAs to provide regular updates on their utilization of the funds.
As presently constutued, EFCC can't genuinely fight corruption because the EFCC Act mandated the EFCC chairman to seek approval of the incumbent president before making arrest and initiating the prosecution of anyone suspected of financial and economic fraud.

Come is like this rubber stamp senate is the best since the return of democracy, they have passed critical bills. Saraki led senate was indeed working against Nigerians
I wrote Saraki Senate off the day the power devolution bill failed to scale through under him. Most people who score the Saraki Senate high do so just because it perpetually rendered politically motivated opposition to the executive and not necessarily because it made fundamentally impactful laws.

This is what Igbos should have been doing........ calling out the PDP which they have worshipped, sacrificed and slaved for since 1999 rather than wasting their energy on advising Tinubu and Atiku to jettison their ambitions or asking all parties to compulsory field Igbo candidates. If Ohaneze had started this focus on PDP in the past two years, by now all other Nigerian tribes would have begun to nurse sympathy for the Igbo presidency and would have joined them in accentuating the immorality inherent in PDP's denying them the ticket hence PDP wouldn't have thrown her ticket open.

Apart from the Ezza-speaking clan, particularly the people of Umuezeokoha that has over 300 villages, if you are to calculate the number of Igbo-speaking villages in Benue State, outside Umuezeokaoha, you would be talking altogether about over 600 villages. Three of the biggest markets in Benue are all in the Igbo-speaking part. The markets are Inikiri Ichari, Iddah, Iduokpe. There are also some Igbo speaking Idoma towns in Benue State. . . You hate Igbos thats fine ;but we are indigenous in 11 states of Nigeria.
We are the engine room;the power house of Nigeria economy ;every nation heart beats; is there economic prowess and strength.
Igbos in charge of Nigeria’s economy’ – Buhari
“There is no town you will visit in Nigeria without seeing the Igbos being in charge of economic activities.”
Igbos are like palm trees in the desert. If you see palm trees, you know water is there. If you see an Igbo in a town, you know progress is there. Not as if they go where progress is. They themselves are seed of progress that yield harvests of progress.

To have a proper understanding of what the Igbo have achieved, consider that every Igbo man, woman and child in Nigeria was reduced to £20 after the civil war in 1970. But look at how far they have come since then. They turned adversity to prosperity.

No ethnic group are as Nigerian as the Igbo. An Igbo builds his family, his house and his businesses in whatever part of Nigeria he finds himself. They do not exploit other regions. They expand other regions. It is a disservice to treat them as unwanted.

Instead of making Igbos feel unwelcome, leaders should welcome them. Anyone who thinks the Igbo really want to break away does not understand economics. In 2003, Elrufai revealed Igbos own 73% of land in Abuja. Google it. That is commitment to Nigeria.

This idea that Igbo come to exploit other regions is unscientific. Igbos create value. They do not take value already created. Example, by opening shops, Igbos create value by meeting a need. Without Igbo, the price of spare-parts in the North will be x4.

It might shock you to know there are more Igbo doctors practicing in other parts of Nigeria than in the SE. Thousands of Igbos are battling Boko Haram in the NE. These are critical values. People who bring such value should be celebrated, not denigrated.

In my opinion, Nigeria made a mistake dismantling Biafra’s military industrial complex after Biafra’s 1970 defeat. The allies defeated Germany in 1945 but absorbed their scientists into their military industrial complex.

Biafra developed technology that Nigeria could have exploited. We have issues fighting Boko Haram because we depend on others for weapons. Biafra was surrounded, yet they made their weapons and refined fuel. Nigeria is not surrounded, yet we cannot make weapons or refine fuel! We could have been making our own weapons by now.

While I was writing this, I received news that Sergeant Blessing Onyekwere, a Nigerian of Igbo origin, was killed by Boko Haram as he fought to keep Nigeria safe. Blessing and others like him are the reason why we should do away with the philosophy of Lagos for Yorubas and Kano for Hausas.

‪I do not know if Igbos understand their power. If every Igbo man, woman and child living in Nigeria returns home for a year, the economies of five geopolitical zones may collapse. You cannot say this about any other ethnicity.

Treat Igbos well. Not for their sake. But for your region’s sake. A liability consumes more than what he produces. The Igbos are not like that. Wherever they go, they produce more than they consume. In accounting terms, that makes them an ASSET wherever they are.

Igbos only think they are being marginalised. If only they knew! God is using the marginalisation of Igbos for His purpose. I met an Igbo mayor of a major American city. Many Igbo are mayors/MPs in Europe. An Igbo is being considered as a future British PM.

Like Jews, the more you marginalise Igbos locally, the more they leave to thrive globally. It is the destiny of the Igbo race to restore the fortunes of the Black Race worldwide. Their crucifixion is meant to prepare them for their benediction.

Proudly Igboman.
Let's even take it hypothetically that all you wrote above are true. However, the Bible says; "a little foolishness cancels out great wisdom". What made a mess of Igbos' in Nigeria and brought them into contempt in the eyes of all other Nigerian tribes and ethnic groups are:
1. Their planning and execution of a coup purportedly to rid the country of corrupt politicians but ended up killing politicians from all other regions while assisting those from their region escape to safety despite they occupied majority of portfolios in that allegedly corrupt government.

2. Being the tribe to introduce the abberation of military rule into an otherwise working democracy, and going ahead to be the first to tamper with the sacred and sovereign Independence which we all sacrificed and took pains to draft in an atmosphere of unanimity and agreed on a structure that guaranteed social justice, equity, fairness and replaced it with this present one that encourages entitlement mentality, corruption, non-accountability on the part of public office holders, docility on the part of the citizenry, etc.
These two acts alone put Igbos' across as a very dishonest and unreliable people who one cannot trust to keep solemn agreements.

Just found it now, and it is actually just an 8 point list I composed based on my over 2 decade experience on NSE. Here it is:

1. No stock is worth falling in love with for any reason whatsoever on earth as long as it is not your father's company.

2. Long term investment philosophy on NSE is pure suicide mission.

3. Take any momentary profit opportunity that falls on any stock in your portfolio regardless of how tiny the percentage is as long as it bellies your stockbroker's commission. Compared with staying on a stock for months and years hunting dividends, this practice actually gives you far more profit within a shorter time as it is a path of compound interest.

4. There is no particular or general winning formula on NSE. There might be such on NASDAQ, New York, London and others bourses, but not on NSE at least for now. Each individual devices his own from experience.

5. FA is a very good compass, but as far as NSE is concerned, never rely excessively on it except foreing investors are fully present on NSE.

6. Play the game as you see it being played rather than as you think it should be ideally played. While a commitment to ideals is commendable, unfortunately reality is not dictated by ideals, else the world wouldn't have been this terrible.

7. Always be on the lookout for the next news of takeover of an ailing company on NSE or indication of interest in it by a foreign investor, buy the stock, but never let the euphoria of the appreciation that follows make you buy a mattress for it. a current example being NIGERINS

8. Most importantly, approach investment on NSE exactly as Nigerian politicians approach politics. Have no permanent friends or enemies among the quoted companies. Only your permanent interest should matter to you which is to make profit hence if you are in a stock which is no longer sure of guaranteeing that interest of yours, defect to another one where that interest is likely to be most easily realizable within the shortest possible time going forward.

I couldn't agree more with you, even as a Yoruba man myself, thanks for schooling that ignoramus Jagunlabiodua. He must be one of those gullible Yorubas I've always spoke about, who see Igbos as their friends despite glaring evidence to the contrary. My people are are obviously under a spell(for the lack of words) because I can't fathom why anyone would continue playing the big brother role to someone who despise you, and doesn't hide it, yet you keep extending hands of fellowship. One of these foolish Yorubas even went as far as starting a GoFundMe campaign for Peter Obi, and I asked myself, who bewitched us? Will we ever learn lessons? Why are Yorubas so carefree and nonchalant to see that Igbos are our number one enemies? I worked with men from the SE for many years in the same office and I can say it without mincing words that the hate transcends just nairaland or online trolling as some kids would make us believe. An Igbo man will become governor of Lagos State one day with the way Yorubas have been sleeping on the bicycle, I really hope we retrace our steps soon but I doubt it because most of my kinsmen just have eyes but cannot see.
I have been emphasizing that if, by design or by accident, an Igbo man succeeds Buhari, that is when some of these shortsighted and shallow thinking Yorubas you described above will understand that Igbos don't really hate Hausafulanis as they currently pretend to, and the Igbo president will never use state power to fight Hausafulanis despite all their present cries and allegations of misgovernance and marginalization against Fulanis. Rather it is Yorubas they will use that state power to fight and pull down to total irrelevance. If Zik could use the little power he had as Ceremonial head of government to instigate Ahmadu Bello to so pummel Yorubas to the extent of not minding seeing Awolowo rot away in jail, then one can only imagine how terrible it will be fior Yorubas if an Igbo man gets hold of raw executive state power. The problem actually is that most of these indomie generation Yoruba youths know nothing about pre-independence and First Republic political history. Same with our Edo youths of age 35 down. The latter are even worse as they don't read at all but see everything in Nigerian politics from the narrow tube of the Jonathan's self inflicted 2015 defeat.

Jagunlabiodua:
During the civil war it was Yorubas soldiers that came to rescue you Benin from Biafra forces.
You obviously don't know anything about history. Biafra forces were chased out of the Midwest by the Northerners dominated Nigerian Army who were earlier on deployed to the Midwest by the trio of Tafawa Balewa, Nnamdi Azikiwe and Akintola to wallop the Western Region and decapitate AG after imprisoning Awolowo. Haven't you ever heard that shortly before the war broke out Awolowo was impressing it upon Gowon to order Northern origin soldiers out of the Western Region?

Jagunlabiodua:
Note you Benins were used by the North against Western Nigeria region. You broke away from Awolowo to align with Zik and Amadu bello. A Northern referendum was done and a Mid-west region formed and Awolowo jailed for treason.
You are speaking like an ignoramus. Not every Edo State person is from Benin and Benin is not synonymous with the entire Edo State. Get yourself educated about this and stop the self embarrassment. Awolowo was jailed for treason by the collusion of your own brothers Akintola and Faani Power with Ahmadu Bello, Azikiwe and Tafawa Balewa. No Edo State person had a hand in it. In fact Anthony Enahoro, an Edo man, was jailed alongside with Awolowo due to his solidarity with Awo, so stop talking thrash. All that you Yorubas suffered in the hands of Zik was due to your own decision to hobnob with Igbos' by way of allowing them get into political positions in your own region thinking you were fostering unity in the South. You were warned but you never listened. A Yoruba man, Herbert Macaulay, founded NCNC and handed it over to Azikiwe an Igbo man,' thinking he was cementing Southern unity only for Azikiwe and Igbos' to hijack it completely for themselves, use it to form alliance with the NPC of Hausafulanis and started using the alliance to fight against you Yorubas. How was that the fault of Edo people? In fact when Awolowo was to proceed to the center, his personal choice was to hand over the AG to Enahoro, an Edo man who had been very loyal to him, but Afenifere refused and mounted pressure on Awolowo to hand it over to Akintola who was already showing signs of disloyalty to the party and Western Region interest in general. Enahoro and Edo people calmly accepted that wrong decision by Afenifere and Enahoro continued to be loyal to the party despite that glaring injustice. Even when Akintola later commenced his madness and treachery in full force, Enahoro didn't come out to start mocking Afenifere, rather he continued to battle for the salvation of the party to the extent of being jailed alongside with Awolowo. Wasn't it the Mbadiwe and other Igbos' whom you all voted into the Western Region Assembly through the NCNC that ended up disrupting every attempt to impeach Akintola when Akintola became a threat to Yoruba interest? Was Mbadiwe an Edo person? Have you people learnt any lessons from that? Didn't you still vote Igbo men and women into Lagos House of Assembly recently despite how much Igbos' hate you Yorubas and always work for your downfall? Have you Yorubas ever voted an Edo person into Lagos House of Assembly? Tinubu has appointed a lot of Igbos'as cabinet members in Lagos yet Igbos' insult him and hate him but reasonable Edos who are in the majority have never insulted him or the entire Yoruba race despite Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode and even Sanwolu never appointed an Edo man a commissioner in gratitude for Enahoro's standing by Awolowo through thick and thin. So what exactly are you saying? If Edo people broke away from Awolowo to align with Azikiwe and Ahmadu Bello as you claim, then how come Enahoro the foremost Edo political leader of those times was jailed alongside with Awolowo? You must be a kid. Enahoro actually resigned as Editor of Zik's newspaper, The Pilot, and also resigned his membership of Zik's NCNC to join Awolowo's Action Group when Zik betrayed him in 1948 over an anti-colonialism symposium. Go and study history deeply and stop listening to beer parlour gists. The agitation for the creation of Midwest Region predated the Western Region crisis and was championed by Akenzua beginning from far before independence hence it didn't really have much to do with the issue between Awolowo and Azikiwe with his Northern friends. Even Awolowo himself wasn't against the creation of Midwest, and as the foremost federalist in the entire Africa, he made it clear that the minorities must be allowed to have their own regions. His only grouse was with the hypocrisy of Zik and Ahmadu Bello who wanted the minorities of the West have their own region while resisting same for the Eastern and Northern minorities. Awolowo himself gave his consent right from prison for the creation of Midwest, so stop saying what you don't know.

Jagunlabiodua:
But during the war you were consumed by Biafra and you ran back to the West.It was the betrayal of Benin that led to the loss of oil of Western Nigeria to the North till this day.
Who and who in Edo ran back to the West during the war? You delude yourself. You lost parts of Yoruba land (i.e. the Okun and Illorin areas) to the North far before Nigeria ever came into existence. Even when Awolowo was trying to get those places back into the Western Region it was the Azikiwe whom Herbert Macaulay and other Yorubas gave prominence to in Yoruba land that played the spoiler role against Awolowo. I guess Azikiwe was an Edo man, right?
You people promoted Azikiwe among you and he later used the influence he got from it to fight and harm you to please Northerners and the British but you turn around and blame Edo?
What you don't know is that the Nigerian Army was mostly dominated by Hausafulanis, Igbos and Yorubas and Edo was helpless because they had less than 5 officers in it unlike the Wazobia tribes who had hundreds and thousands of their men in it due to quota system. If Edo people had had as much as any of the Wazobia tribes, do you think either side of the war would have ventured foot into the Midwest and left there alive?
Could any other tribe mess with Edo people in the pre-colonial era when each had its own sovereign army and kingdom?
Jagunlabiodua:
Yoruba know you, you are a foe not a brother but that doesn't change the fact the entire Land called Benin belongs to the Oba of Benin who is a Yorubaman from Ile ife.
Your enemies are the Igbos' whom you keep sacrificing for despite they hate you and call you all sorts of despicable names. Look around Nairaland and you'll see some Yoruba monickers supporting the threats of Igbos' that presidency must be their turn or else. Some would say for equity and fairness, it should go to the very East which threw equity and fairness to vote for the very Obasanjo whom they knew you Yoruboids didn't want hence just to spite you. They voted against your Abiola and colluded with Abacha to deny him inauguration but they turn around today to talk of equity and fairness and some of you Yorubas join them to chorus it as if you have forgotten what you passed through in their hands when Azikiwe was governor general and also when Ironsi was Military ruler. Igbos' have taken over Ojo, Ajeromi-Ifelodun and other LGAs in Lagos completely. They have been terming Lagos a non man's land since before independence and till now. They insult you with claims of developing Lagos and that you Yorubas sell your lands to them and later become their tenants yet you vote them into Lagos House of Assembly and appoint them as commissioners but you leave all that and start chasing after Edo State which is very far away from you and whose people don't call Lagos a no man's land despite they even have a historical stake in Lagos. You obviously don't know your real enemies and it is a pity.

During the parliamentary proceedings of the Old Western Region before the creation of Midwest, the Awujale who was the chief whip would begin by formally greeting the Ooni of Ife, Alafin of Oyo, Deji of Akure, and declare that he had saluted all the Yoruba monarchs and then proceed to sit down without saluting any of the monarch from the future Midwest areas. This means he didn't recognize any of them, be it Oba of Beninz Olu of Warri, Dein of Agbor, Otaru of Auchi, Onogie of Ekpoma, the Urhobo and Isoko Monarchs as Yorubas. To this, none of these unsaluted monarchs would object because they knew they weren't really Yorubas. I guess you now know more than Awujale himself who correctly didn't recognize them as Yorubas, right?

His unethical granting of university license to himself while in power was not a criminal act? Obasanjo endorsed Atiku and Atiku lost in 2019. The Whole Benin and Delta belongs to the Yorubas and the son's of Oramiyan, Benin is just like Ijebu, Ijaw, Ishekiri, you need to understand the OBA of Benin is a Yorubaman and a Yoruba King. If for example there is a civil war in Nigeria, Yoruba will take Benin and Delta, places like Lokoja, illorin will be taken as well.
Unfortunately, you didn't address any of the posers I raised. There was a civil war in Nigeria in 1967 and what you said wasn't even close to happening. If not for Awolowo's wisdom and Ojukwu's own greed, Biafran soldiers would have even taken over Ore and marched down to Lagos.
On the other hand, Awolowo the most politically enlightened Yoruba man and in fact the most pragmatic and most intelligent Nigerian politician ever to walk on the earth did an ethnographic survey of Akoko-Edo and confessed that the people are not Yorubas in any way hence he never targeted them in his Yoruba irredentism struggles unlike how he targeted the Okuns and other Yorubas in the North Central Region of today.

A man who began to insult IBB his godfather as a 70 year old fool just because IBB spoke a very bitter truth to him.

At least the National Assembly weren't complete pushovers in his time. They're the only ones to override a veto. That's how NDDC and ICPC were passed into law.
Are we talking of the national assembly or the man himself? Didn't the national assembly accept it when he signed these bogus federal legislators allowances into law for them?
When Atiku spoke truth to him as regards his evil third term plot, did he take it slightly with Atiku? When Eedris Abdulkareem spoke truth to him in power, didn't he get him arrested and jailed without trial? How did Fashawe, Orji Uzor Kalu, Bola Ige, Asari Dokubo, Uwazurike, etc all end it after speaking truth to Obasanjo in power? The truth remains that Obasanjo set the example of misrule which all his successors have followed.
You recall how Jonathan chronicled the man's hipocrisy in his response to the open letter he wrote to him on his alleged misrule?

Hmmm.. okay.. hope they can at least substantially improve on current dividend
That overbloated OS of the company would always water down the EPS hence affect dividend. It still doesn't allow the stock to rally meaningfully thus making it one of the most slippery stocks on NSE.

Thanks you ma for your ever frequent market update, pls why is the offer side on Morgan capital not showing
It only means that there is no offer at that moment and that indicates extreme scarcity which causes price appreciation.

4 - 5 years time frame is likely a very tall dream. Transcorp's OS is scary.

GreyLaw:
Well, as someone who lived in Benin for quite a while (my parents still live there) I don't see where Oshiomole is bigger than Obaseki. Both of them got both 8 years in power. And like previous governors in Edo, Oshiomole and Obaseki will be forgotten with time. Whatever happens to either of them will depend a lot on how the 2023 general elections go.

Edo state is mostly PDP, to be Frank. And if thr PDP wins again I really don't see how Oshiomole will have a larger stake in the state than Obaseki. For now, in my opinion, Obaseki still holds the aces even beyond 2023 till 2024. Beyond that, God alone knows. However, Obaseki dealt Oshiomole a big blow in the last elections.
Edo State is not mostly PDP. What your likes don't understand is that in Edo State people look more at quality of campaigns rather than the party. Edo State is not attached to any party. PDP won the last election because a slight majority who didn't know the truth about the issues fell for Obaseki's anti-godfatherism narrative. But today, most of them including the PDP itself have been disillusioned.
Obaseki's margin of victory was too slim to be classified a death blow to Oshiomhole. Moreover, Ize Iyamu's complacency was largely responsible for that slim majority votes.
Without Oshiomhole, Obaseki wouldn't have become governor in the first instance but Oshiomhole got to power on his own popularity. Unlike Oshiomhole, Obaseki has no popularity of his own as an individual, no pre-politica charisma, and that explains why he will be totally irrelevant in two years time from now.
Secondly Obaseki's tendency to later fight against his benefactors is already working against his relevance after office. Even Wike and Edo State PDP chapter are no longer in good terms with him. Moreover, most of those who voted him for second term have since been disillusioned of his anti-godfatherism campaign gimmick as he has no projects justifying all the revenues that have accrued onto the state.
Your living in Benin doesn't translate to living in and understanding other parts of Edo State. Benin City is not synonymous with the entire Efo State. Moreover, Obaseki has lost appeal among his Bini people courtesy of his rivalry against the Oba over the about-to-be-returned artefacts, demolition of the monumental 100 year old Central Hospital for a motor park, demolition of the State Library for a shopping mall and many other ill-conceived policies in addition to Wike's recent revelation of one of his numerous shady activities which is his sale of Edo Line property in Portharcourt without due process or anyone's knowledge in Edo State, his refusal to employ teachers in state primary and secondary schools leading to a situation whereby most schools have only one or two teachers amidst Old Boys and Girls associations or host community levying themselves to employ teachers and paying their salaries, and many other ills which were unknown during Oshiomhole's time. As it is presently, Oshiomhole has already been vindicated for his stance on Obaseki, though he himself caused the whole mess by railroading to power a defective character from a family known for treachery and anti-palace activities. Obaseki's has not been able to do one tenth of what Oshiomhole did in terms of infrastructure and as long as infrastructural development remains the primary consideration of good governance in Edo State, I assure you that PDP will loose the next election just as they lost in 2007 because of Lucky Igbinedion's woeful performance which some Edo State people now even argue was better than what is being seen under Obaseki.
With all these and many more however, Oshiomhole's continued relevance in Edo State politics is far more guaranteed than Obaseki's. Moreover, if Tinubu's ambition becomes a reality, then you will understand that Oshiomhole is not retired from politics in any way.

Jagunlabiodua:
The whole of Benin, the Oba of Benin, Akoko-Edo.
I know you would mention Akoko-Edo, and that is actually a huge falsehood. The Akoko tag in the name does not connote Yorubaness, rather it is only geographical in meaning which is "Edo people who are geographical neighbours to Akokos". There are really no Yorubas' indegenous to Akoko-Edo. The tribes in the area are Etuno, Okpameri, Uneme, Ososo, Okpe and others. None of their languages is mutually intelligible with Yoruba. For example, below are some native names of the people, and I would like you to tell me what they mean in Yoruba:
1. Eneze
2. Emmasealu
3. Onyonnude
4. Oyonorifo
5. Ogie
6. Enevara
7. Ajimego
8. Okondo
9. Ozioma
10. Asesho
11. Lawani
12. Ausere
13. Ubani
14. Eshemokhai
15. Uniami
16. Igbelazor
17. Pendo
18. Adeche
19. Utachi
20. Enachi

Note the presence of the sounds z, v, and ch which are all absent in Yoruba Language.

The only actually Yoruba people indegenous to Akoko-Edo are the Imeris who have since been carved into Ondo State to join their Yoruba kit and kin there. While they were in Akoko-Edo they used to complain about being among strangers hence kept on agitation for boundary readjustment to enable them be among their actual brothers in Ondo State. Their prayers were answered in 1996 when Abacha created Local Government Areas and moved them to Ose LGA in Ondo State.

As for Benin, you yourself know that Bini Language and Yorubas Language are not mutually intelligible at all and that Bini culture is poles apart from Yoruba culture.
In essence the only parts of the Midwest that Yoruba or Yoruboids are indegenous to are the Itsekiri and Olukumi areas of Delta State. These people's languages actually are a dialect of the Yoruba Language and they themselves don't deny it.

Oshiomhole retired from politics? You must be a comedian. Philip Shuaibu is already negotiating his way back to APC and seeking Oshiomhole's blessings but he won't get it. Obaseki has just two years to go completely into political oblivion. I hope you watched the scene between Oshiomhole and Obaseki in Ogbe Stadium during the burial of Victor Uwaifo? If you didn't, please do and then come back here for analysis.

EDO NOR BE LAGOS BRUH
Godfatherism started in Edo State far before it started in Lagos. As far back as 2003, Gabriel Igbinedion publicly declared that even though his biological son failed woefully in his first term, there was still no vacancy in Osadebe House because he had bought it for his son. Edo no be Lagos was a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
I guess Abia where ex governor Theodore Orji's is in the Senate while his son is speaker of the state's House of Assembly is Lagos.

Is Edo State not presently doomed under Obaseki with tears and regrets by those who voted him? Or you haven't heard that Wike his new godfather has just revealed that he secretly sold Edo Line property in Portharcourt without due process or anyone's knowledge in Edo State? Do you hear of any performance from Obaseki presently except fighting his own PDP for party structure?
