Karlirk:Where were Aguiyi Ironsi and Nnamdi Azikiwe from? When will it be the turn of Edos, Urhobos, Isokos, Efiks, Ibibios, etc? Where is the justice in seeking to be president of a country you believe is a zoo? Where is the justice in seeking to rule a country you are asking to exit? Or will they rule Nigeria from an independent Biafra Republic? Where is the justice in carrying out a coup killing political leader of every other region while assisting all their own political leaders escape into safety? What is the fairness in insulting all other tribes continuously for eight years over the electoral defeat of a man who is not even a kinsman of theirs even when the region that owned him only mourned his loss for a year? Is that kind of approach to politics not dangerous to the society? |
Eastlink:All these you mentioned were never about agitation for presidency by the respective groups. Like I said before, while the OPC, Niger Delta Militants, Sharialists, Boko Haram, etc, did all that; none of them as a group derailed from it into insulting other ethnicities claiming they were responsible for their predicaments and rewriting history against them. If you can cite an instance where Niger Delta Militants, OPC, Boko Haram, Sharialists, etc ever insulted any other single tribe the way Nnamdi Kanu and Ipobians are known to, then I will change my views. In fact IPOB's agitation was founded largely on Jonathan's loss and not even really about any of the injustices you lots now accuse Nigeria of against you. Uwazurike was handling the Igbo agitation sensibly and devoid of insults to other tribes and regions hence was already gathering trans-regional and trans-ethic sympathy and support before Nnamdi Kanu hijacked it and made nonsense of it with his puerile hate campaign and revisionism of history against other tribes and regions. Had Nnamdi Kanu never come into the picture, Uwazurike's style would have made an Igbo man president far before the SS clinched in through Jonathan. |
Eastlink:The difference is that the blackmails of the SS, SW and NW were all directed at the FG and therefore attracted sympathy and support from the other regions unlike that of the SE which is directed more at other tribes and regions than at the FG hence attracting disgust and resistance from these other regions and tribes. If you Easterners had focused on the FG alone all this while without bringing in other regions and even twisting history against them, you wouldn't have needed all these talks of fairness and equity to get all other Nigerian tribes queue behind you. But your insults since 2015 on account of the self inflicted loss of Jonathan who is not even from your SE has complicated everything. There is no equity or fairness, either, in twisting history against others and insulting them continually for 8 years running. |
CoalcityBoi:You kept yourself and everyone else in Nigeria. Remember Azikiwe's stiff opposition to secession clause motion and Aguiyi Ironsi's Anti-secession Decree, Azikiwe's long speech discouraging Northerners' 1953 secession demand, and Ojukwu's violent sabotage of Isaac Adaka Boro's Niger Delta Republic declaration of February 23 1966 which was 15 clear months before Igbos ever thought of secession from Nigeria? |
Valueinvestor:Money dey where e dey. Na only who no sabi dey talk say money no dey. |
Marketapprentic:Very unlikely especially if the free float is way below 50% of OS, but could still spring a surprise all the same, just that the rally is not likely to deliver 100% using the N3.00 starting price as reference point. |
SOFTSKILL:First of all I am not an Igbo person. Before you try to guess the tribe of a monicker here you are supposed to look up the history of his posts. So Obasanjo has become a beloved son of you Yorubas? Then why did you reject him like a plague in 1999? We are talking of killing of innocent civilian women and children in Odi and Zakibiam through the levelling of whole communities and this one is trying to equate it with killing of members of a militia group which had been guilty of violence against civilians and doesn't even equate to a village let alone a community. Is OPC a town like Odi and Zakibiam are? Why didn't he level Ota which was a town? So the killing of Bandits by Buhari now can be said to be social injustice if we are to follow your warped logic? |
Marketapprentic:E be like say temptation don dey worry you o! ![]() |
Nonybb:A detribalized man who massacred thousands of innocent civilians in Odi (SS) and Zakibiam (NC) on the excuse that security personnel were killed on duty but looked the other way and feigned ignorance when security operatives were likewise murdered on duty in his home town of Ota (SW)? I have said it that the biggest political fraud in Nigeria is to ascribe detribalization to a Nigerian politician. |
Romanoff:So you knew they have ordinary folks yet you implicitly termed them the non-dead areas? Anyway they have far less ordinary folks than the areas won by APC, and that is my point |
Romanoff:But those are the areas where you have most of the population and the ordinary folks. That means the common man in Abuja still prefers APC to PDP thus still sees PDP as elitist party. |
slimshady1000:Our constitution doesn't allow independent candidacy so in the eyes of the law you vote for party and not for the candidate. |
fyneguy:The funny hypocrisy about that talk is that they've all left out of mention the others like Saraki, Atiku, Amaechi, Obasanjo, Tambuwal, SLS, Kwankwaso, etc who even committed themselves verbally than Tinubu in the campaign for Buhari. The ambitions of Tambuwal, Amaechi, Atiku and Saraki against 2023 are very clear as most of them have declared formally but you'll never hear or read these folks accuse them of bringing disaster. Only Tinubu is now 'guilty' of that. They argue that Tinubu has pocketed Lagos but they have no problem supporting the bid of Atiku who, as revealed by Obasanjo his boss, has pocketed Nigeria through the privatization exercise of 2005. They have no qualms with the ambition of Saraki who inherited a pocketed Kwara State from his father. Some are even considering Orji Uzor Kalu who has been to jail for pocketing Abia State. All these show that their hatred for Tinubu really has nothing to do with bringing Buhari but all about envy of his intimidating political profile and his being from the SW. |
locodemy:Kk. We watch with fingers crossed. |
Marketapprentic:My newness description for NCR is in the relative sense. Please check my comment again and you'll see the word 'relative'. Its OS is too low to consistently secure the 100,000 threshold volume required to push price up should there even be any positive news or rumour about it. A fall from an all-time high of N18 (according to you) to N3 (one sixth) is also not good enough to stir up primordial sentiments in the wake of any positive news of geometrically improved earnings. Compare all these with RTB BRISCOE which fell from N40+ to 20 Kobo (i.e. one two hundredth) and has about 1.18 bn OS which is far from being overbloated yet can generate the 100,000 threshold units everyday during a rally as it is currently doing from the 20 Kobo it kick-started from last week Monday or so. Recall that when the rally took a break at 30 Kobo a lot of folks jumped out thinking it was a sign of being over. |
Marketapprentic:CHAMS is a case of he that is down needs fear no fall. And as long as it is liquid even in its seeming static state, it may spring surprises. |
Marketapprentic:In SA, one of the most powerful tools is primordial sentiments. Unlike RTB, NCR is a relatively new stock and is not known to have fallen from a very high price to the current one. RTB was once selling for N40 before it began to gradually drop over the years and finally to 20kobo. If NCR had once traded at, say, N200 before dropping to this current N3 amidst other factors like not too low OS, Good dividend history, etc, then it would have passed the SA test. |
Marketapprentic:I am rolling on the floor with laugher. Actually I am not in NCR because my SA does not pick it. |
Marketapprentic:You have forgotten that Guinness was once way above what it is right now but crashed progressively to less than N20 and stayed there for donkey years before moving up to 30 this time last year and staying stagnant there until now that it just chalked up to N60 which is still a far cry from the nearly N300 it crashed from. Vitafoam has a relatively small OS of about 600m or so hence it is easily lifted. UCAP was listed at N1.5 or so almost 12 years ago, if I am to be conservative, meaning it has as of now given you nearly 900%. With the price now at N11+ can it give you 900% (I.e. appreciate to N110) in the next 12 years? Think about it. As for NXGGROUP, the future has a lot to say but I doubt if it can give you 100% appreciation in this current rally. |
locodemy:I burnt my mattress and pillows courtesy of my experience with Oceanic, Intercontinental and Afribank. |
safepaulooo:For the bolded, you seem to live in my mind. |
Marketapprentic:Even the fundamentally sound stocks are not immune to post-reggae blues. Check CHAMS right now and see the crazy bid loading and obviously pregnant with meaning. Oando was once trading at nearly N200 and there were people who bought mattress, pillow and bedspread for it seeing it to be a fundamentally sound stock, but where is it today? Guinness was once at N270 but would later send people to the village when it crashed to sub N20, but now flying again. What of the likes of Oceanic, Intercontinental, Bank PHB, Afribank etc which all once straddled the NSE landscape like invincible collosus only for SLS to finish them off and thereby sending shareholders to the village? What matters is to know exit point and use it. My own reason for coming to the Market is capital appreciation and not dividend or a feeling of being secured in bluest chips. If I want security, I would just buy Treasury Bills or convert my Naira cash to Pounds and Dollars then go to bed. |
locodemy:Words on diamond! Stocks on NSE are known to strangely defy financials and move paradoxically. It is a market driven more by emotions than by reason and that is a reflection of who the average Nigerians attitude in every human endeavour. We have severally witnessed companies announcing good results with dividends and bonuses only for their share prices to immediately nosedive. We were all here when CHAMS in 2019 announced a not so good result, declared a dividend and added that it had no cash to pay the said dividend anytime soon hence gave no specific date for payment but CHAMS immediately rose from 20 Kobo and galloped to 55 Kobo on a stretch. We saw how JAPAUL suddenly flew from 20 Kobo to N 1.67 within two months this time last year all on the wings of sentiments while the Fundamentally soundest stocks have been on super glue to their static prices all that while. |
obynzo:Idiotic defense as usual. Do you know what representation means? So the senator representing your Senatorial District in Abuja is not a leader of your Senatorial District? Which bush school did you attend? A person is appointed by a government to represent it before other countries governments and you say that person is not in a leadership position? What is political representation all about if not leadership? So someone representing you in any political capacity is not your leader? This Mkpurumiri scourge really got you. As envoy to Mali, Jonathan was the president of Nigeria in their eyes and that is how representation works. Zik was an envoy tasked with seeking recognition for Biafra. Why couldn't just any citizen of Biafra go and seek that recognition back then if the position wasn't a leadership one? The issue of Ojukwu versus Awolowo was brought up by you and I decided to demolish your propaganda using logic woven on hard facts. I repeat, explain how it made sense for Ojukwu and you Igbos to have expected Awolowo to participate in a secession movement in which the very person who had earlier on sabotaged all his secession clause motions was actively involved and was playing an important role in it. This is the question you can never answer. Trust me! So in your deficient brain the Awolowo's declaration that "If the East is allowed to secede, the West would follow suit" means exactly the same thing as "The West has already entered into a joint secession agreement with the East"? Didn't you see the "if" which makes it a conditional statement? Was the East later allowed to secede and Awolowo chose to remain back thereafter? Supposing the East was allowed to go and Awolowo thereafter remained back in your Azikiwe's fraudulent one-Nigeria, then your insinuation here would have made sense. If I say, "If you are allowed to go home, I will follow suit", does that mean I am implying that I will join you in fighting to see that both of us are allowed to go home at the same time and to the same house? Capital NO! I am only saying that your being allowed to go is a pre-condition to mine, i.e. I can only start considering going home after seeing that you have been allowed to go and you have actually gone. Why are you this dense and block headed with your entitlement mentality? That is how you lots automatically assumed that the SS owed you joint secession partnership if you voted for Jonathan and carried his issue one your heads more than they themselves. Awolowo never signed any joint secession pact with Ojukwu in the first instance hence didn't owe you any allegiance be it legal or moral. He decided to go with Gowon just as Azikiwe went with Tafawa Balewa and Ahmadu Bello at independence thereby weakening theSouth politically whereas if he had done the opposite the South would have been united and find itself in a position of strength that would have seen the North negotiating about everything as against how they imposed their will on Southerners till today. |
obynzo:It is now clear that those who paid your school fees did a very bad investment. Only a person hard of understanding would still argue that an position representative of a whole government is not a leadership role. If someone represents a president that makes him a president indirectly before those he is dealing with. The US ambassador or envoy to Nigeria becomes the US president to Nigerians at the moment he is doing his duty. When a president is away and an acting president holds forth, that acting president weilds all powers of the president at that moment. When you are asked to go to school and stop licking Lamidi Cownu's poo you refuse. See how you are disgracing yourself now with his miseducation? That was how he told you that Buhari has been dead and replaced with Jubril Al Sudan and you believed and still believe. Mkpurumiri victim from AfghanEASTern Republic. |
BrickDevo:But he had already collected his share of the loot (as far back as 2008 during Yaradua's rule) before 2015 when he began to identify with IPOB and Ipobians were celebrating him for that. So what has changed now? |
obynzo:Crap! See the definition and explanation of envoy below. Your denial cannot change the fact that Zik held a leadership role in Biafra as an envoy (a representative of the Biafran Government in other countries) hence his being able to solicit for recognition of Biafra in the international community. If that is not leadership position to you, then we can comfortably say that not even Ojukwu himself was a leaders in Biafra. It is that simple. You are trying to explain away Zik's leadership role in Biafra because it is something that punctures the age-long narrative that Awolowo betrayed Ojukwu. Even if we are to take it hypothetically that an envoy is not a leadership position, but as far as it is an important position in Biafra, then it still begs the question of why Ojukwu was expecting Awolowo to join an ideological secession movement in which the position charged with the responsibility of seeking recognition for the movement was occupied by his ideological arch enemy who was himself initially against that very ideology. It simply doesn't make sense. It is just like how your kinsmen currently, though falsely, accuse Tinubu of betraying a fellow Southerner in 2015 for power to go to the North, but now seeking the support of the same fellow Southerners to take power from the North. If you are this conscious of why a saboteur of a movement can't later turn around to demand support for the same movement when it appears to favour him, then why can't you apply same reasoning to the issue of Ojukwu appointing Azikiwe the Saboteur of secession into Biafra cabinet and expecting the original advocate of secession to partner in that secession plot? This is the simply logic you are finding difficult to understand. If anything Zik introduced bitter politics by trying to take over a Region which was not his while his own home region was burning. Didn't he later return to the East to out Ita Eyo? I guess that was sweet politics, right? I will continue to punish you with the demand to show me any dictionary screenshot which explains that an envoy is not a leadership position.

Still on conjectural merry-go-round.
|
obynzo:You are not making sense. I too have asked you to explain to me how the position of an envoy is not a leadership position in a new country and till now you haven't been able to. Obaseki is an aspiring godfather and clearly so hence he is the one that needs to be strangulated, but just because he defected to you Igbos' beloved PDP which though has never acknowledged the suicidal sacrifices you have been making for it since 1999, he became your darling leader and role model overnight. Before the whole saga you all had been insulting Edo State people and calling them slaves of the caliphate, but all of a sudden Edo people became reasonable in your hypocritic eyes. The shameful thing about you folks is that you are easily predictable even in your emotion-driven inconsistent and erratic nature. Obaseki has fallen out with all those who assisted him and voted him for second term thinking he was sincerely committed to the strangulation of godfatherism. Even Wike is now disgusted by his shenanigans of trying to upstage him in the PDP relevance status. He recently revealed that Obaseki secretly sold for a whooping N4.5bn Edo Line property in Portharcourt and till now not him or his aides have come out to refute it. The godfatherism that has been happening in Abia state that saw Orji Uzor Kalu install the catastrophy called Theodore Orji who milked the state of over N500bn and then imposed his son on the state's House of Assembly as speaker, and as well imposed the kerosene sharing Ikpeazu who gave only N500 to pregnant women is obviously none of your concern but the need to strangulate milder and productive godfatherism in Lagos preoccupies your hypocritic mind. Bad as Tinubu is painted with godfatherism, he has not imposed his biological son on Lagos State House of Assembly let alone make him speaker. Okorocha tried to impose his inlaw as governor of Imo but you are selectively blind to it. Peter Obi singlehandedly brought Obiano from Lagos and imposed him on APGA and then the whole Anambra but that is no godfatherism in your eyes rather it even qualifies Obi to run for presidency. Can't you see your stinking hypocrisy? Wike imposed Secondus as PDP National Chairman and got him removed when his continued stay started becoming a threat to his ambition of being running mate to the hopeful Northerner PDP candidate for 2023 but when Wike came to Edo State hypocritically to 'kill' godfatherism you all bathed him in accolades of propriety. Ibori remains the ultimate godfather of all Delta State politics till death do him and the state part but your likes don't feel the need to strangulate him obviously because he Is of your PDP. Only APC godfatherism is bad to you. What a people! I thought they say charity begins from home? Well I am not surprised because Azikiwe, your role model and overall leader, left his own region to start charity from the Western Region and once his hypocrisy was treated he began to cry tribalism. I am still waiting for your explanation on how envoy position is not a leadership one and why you and Ojukwu expected Awolowo to have agreed to be part of a secession project under the supervision of a one-Nigerianist who sabotaged his own secession clause motions countless times on the floor of the pre-independence parliament. What an interesting Irony! |
Abujason:Unfortunately, the foremost Igbo leader, Nnamdi Azikiwe, was, with his one Nigeria sloganeering, responsible for this situation as it was he who played the spoiler role against Awolowo's attempt to get the Yorubas in today Kwara and Kogi States carved into the Western Region to be with their kit and kin. So we are all reaping the fruits of Azikiwe's one Nigeria political doctrine. |
Throwback:Don't mind them. Even Funsho William's children would later publicly hand Fashola their Father's Lagos developmental blueprint to spite PDP obviously out of the unshaken conviction that their father was killed by the Lagos PDP. |
Oduduwa707:Then how come Obasanjo till today swept under the carpet the report of the investigation he ordered into Funsho William's assassination? |

that's market for you. But never worry, NB go still do his own. I think that they are tactically holding it down and don't want it to react to Guinness upward movement .
