element1313:You should have, from the content of my comment you quoted, known that I am not a novice in it. |
ayo6hammiey:I had the same experience. I applied but saw alert after 2 days when I had sorted myself out through another means yet they were expecting me to pay back with interest. |
element1313:But then, anyone who just jumps into Bitcoin trading without any deep knowledge of RSI dynamics and the influence of North American and European economic statistics is likely to lose all his capital within just one candle stick. |
lkillbrokehoes:Most of those credit companies begin to harass you for repayment even before the due date. This is very common with this very Soko Loan which would begin to make deductions from your linked account as early as 12:00 am of the due date i.e. 24 clear hours ahead of the due time. Some will give you a call promising to increase the amount of loan you worth only for they to decline your next loan application after actually paying before the due date. Some of them like L-Credit double debit your account on the day of repayment and all your calls to complain will never be answered neither will your complaint message on the customer care section of their app ever receive a response. It is time the authorities deal with those unprofessional ones among them. |
hakeem4:Your explanation is quite illogical. He actually did so not because his people were actually already dominating any facet of Nigerian life but because he wanted them to dominate in an unmerited manner just as Hausafulanis are doing today by bountifully harvesting the unitary system imposed on us by AfghanEASTerns. You would recall that prior to Ironsi's coming, we were practicing true federalism marked by 50% resource control and regional autonomy which gave each region the power to make her own laws. Now, in a federal system it is common to have in place in each federating unit a law that precludes non-indegenes from certain benefits e.g. school fees rebate, state-sponsored scholarships, recruitment into state police, etc. until such a time the government of those regions/state deems them qualified to share such benefits on account of having lived there long enough and become integrated by naturalization just as it happens in USA and Europe. For the fact that Igbos had already migrated in large numbers into every other region, Ironsi and Azikiwe wanted their people in the Nigerian diaspora not to have to wait and pass through any probational period before being treated as equals with the natives. It is like wanting a Nigerian migrant to the US to get stay permit and citizenship on arrival right at the John Kennedy International Airport. So Aguiyi Ironsi abolished federalism to remove the lawful barriers which subjected his brothers to probation in other regions. |
obynzo:Stop this terrorist behavior. Only terrorists see superior facts and arguement but refuse to bow to it hence they go on killing spree. You have been given the link repeatedly together with a snapshot of the specific page the information is contained in. Here it is again: https://www.academia.edu/6198062/The_Fall_of_the_First_Republic Go to page 29 and read, you AfghanEASTern terrorist. |
obynzo:I wouldn't expect you to know the difference between an envoy and an ambassador. Nigeria presently has an ambassador to many countries and that's what you use interchangeably with envoy. Go and check your dictionary first. Meanwhile you can't know Azikiwe's role in Biafra more than Azikiwe's son himself who granted the interview below: https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/we-sensed-dad-was-disappointed-about-nigeria-before-his-death-ziks-son/%3famp Note where the son says in response to a question asked about his father's role in Biafra and as follows: Of course, initially, he was skeptical about it, but when it was obvious that there was Biafra, who was the spokesperson for Biafra? He was the one. He was the one travelling around the whole world to get support. He was the one that was meeting leaders to get them to support the Biafran cause. He was also an adviser to Odumegwu Ojukwu for a long time. I guess that the role which confereed on a man all the duties described above was not a leadership role but that of an ordinary follower in your AfghanEASTern reasoning? |
Tareq1105:If you watched how Dan Orbih suddenly made a U-turn to start bathing Obaseki in accolades of performance after four years of constantly adjudging him a monumental failure based on hard facts on ground, I doubt if you would have any sympathy for Orbih's current travails in Obaseki's hands. Dan Orbih even deserves more than this. Even the market women who chanted 'Ogbane' are now crying over being taxed N50 per chicken which they are yet to sell. Same with those doing roadside petty trading. |

obynzo:Why you have not been able to show proof to the contrary and still as well not been able to explain how Ojukwu's making Azikiwe an envoy in Biafra didn't translate to giving Azikiwe a leadership position. AfghanEASTern terrorist like you. |
obynzo:It is obvious that this AfghanEASTern has lost steam and unable to counter the hard facts kissing him in his terrorist face. |
T9ksy:Don't mind him. He saw me refer him clearly to page 29 yet still asking me to show him where the line is. These AfghanEASTerns can deny the existence of the tallest building in the world even when standing right in front of it. |
obynzo:So you now suffer partial blindness hence couldn't see where I made reference to page 29? |
ityP:In one line you argue that elections at both state and federal have never been about the people, but in another line you implicitly complain that those who voted for Buhari harmed the people. So where exactly do you stand? No Buharist has complained to you that Buhari has disappointed him. But those who supported Obaseki are the very ones now accusing him of failure. There lies the difference. If they the Ogbanes and Towargbas weren't complaining and asking for Obaseki's head right now, we wouldn't be in this argument. Then I can't even make any meaning of your claim that Oshiomhole rained curses on Obaseki's opposition and contributed to his woes at the polls. I can't make any sense out of that. As for Tinubu, his supporters can't be crying at this time seeing the gale of direct and indirect endorsements flowing his way from across the entire nation and even from among the PDP. You are the one crying about Tinubu while I am only responding to the Ogbanes and Towargbas now crying about their Obaseki. Likewise, At the point of entry into PDP, Obaseki was very loyal to PDP which initially adjudged him a huge failure but changed tune on signing him in but has again changed back to their previous tune now that he is killing the party and demanding for their structure by suspending Dan Orbih and Ogbeide Ihama. I repeat; at state level, politics is quite issues based because state governments are closer to the people and are more responsible for their needs than the national government hence people could afford to use federal elections as weapons of political vendetta than as tools to vote for the actual betterment of the country. I have already given you a lot of examples which you have not been able to counter. |
ityP:I would that you prove that position wrong with facts. Please visit Obaseki's Facebook page and see for yourself that those currently denouncing, insulting and cursing him are those who campaigned for him under Sun and rain chanting Ogbane and Towargba. I guess they are Tinubu's lovers too yet they campaigned for Ogbane, right? The truth is that within just 10 months Obaseki's campaign gimmick has been exposed for the monumental lie it was and those who fell for it can't now forgive themselves while those who saw through the facade back then aren't even complaining right now. |
ityP:This is not about Buhari. We all know that choices on presidential elections in Nigeria are not about issues but about the need to prosecute political vendetta or prove the point that no tribe owns Nigeria hence people would not mind voting for the obviously less promising candidate to prove that point. We saw it happen when in 1993 the current SE voted for Tofa against the obviously better MKO just to spite Yorubas and how the Old Rivers State (Now Bayelsa and Rivers) gave Tofa a whooping 66% in that election out of loyalty to their NRC in pursuit of what they felt was a better deal for them at the center rather than what was better for the generality of Nigerians. Also, the people of the present SE and SS voted in 1999 for Obasanjo who had failed as military HOS, and again voted for him in 2003 which was just 3 years after he ordered the genocide in Odi town located in their own SS region....all in a bid to spite Yorubas. And mind you that Yorubas even voted massively against this same Buhari in 2011 in the interest of Jonathan who obviously appeared better then, but in 2015 had to vote Buhari to prove a point to Jonathan. But, at the states level, elections are less about political vendetta and more about germane issues hence you can't compare it with federal elections. |

We saw it happen when in 1993 the current SE voted for Abiola against the obviously worse Tofa just to spite Yorubas and how the Old Rivers State (Now Bayelsa and Rivers) gave Tofa a whooping 66% in that election out of loyalty to their NRC in pursuit of what they felt was a better deal for them at the center. Terrier99:You missed that monicker's sarcasm. In addition, please be more civil. Yes we know it pains for one to realize he was fooled and scammed as those who supported Obaseki have. But it is not the fault of Yorubas or Igbos that Edo people, with all their acclaimed intelligence, could fall so cheaply for a campaign lie that a primary two pupil could have deciphered without much racking of his head. |
Terrier99:Edo State people are not Igbos please. The monicker you quoted is not an Igbo person but a full blooded Edo son who happened to be a fan of Jonathan hence the automatic hatred for Tinubu and Oshiomhole which made him fall for Obaseki's fraudulent campaign gimmick even though Obaseki's failures all over the state were kissing him in the face. |
Raiders:I want to assume you are just being sarcastic. But if not, then I will like to know how you came to the conclusion that Obaseki ever fought godfatherism in Edo State talkless of actually defeating it. I am all ears. |
Codebite:I disagree with your attempt to heap on Esans the blame of voting based on sentiments in Edo State. Was it also Esans that voted out Ambrose Alli who moved mountains in each and all of the 19 LGAs of Bendel State within just four years? If anything, it was the Binis that voted against him all because he was Esan. Remember that part of the reasons you Binis voted against him was that he was trying to divide the Benin Kingdom with his proposal to create LCDAs back then. Though it was a narrative that emanated from the Bendel State chapter of the NPN, Binis were the first to fall for it. Then on Obaseki's second term victory, please go over the results again and you'll see that the votes he got from the 7 Bini LGAs was what actually gave him the upper hand after the votes Ize-Iyamu had from Edo-North had drowned those Obaseki got from Edo-Central (Esanland) |
Runaway:So you really swallowed the false tale that Oshiomhole was trying to control Obaseki? Then you weren't following the issues. What happened was that immediately Obaseki got sworn in in 2016, he began governing in a self-opinionated manner, and was outsourcing appointments to his friends from Lagos, Delta and Rivers States and also to some people whom he made to come over from the UK while largely ignoring those home-based Edolites who worked so hard to market him against the fact that he was a very hard sell especially when compared with Ize-Iyamu back then. Even the relatively few natives he gave appointments, he refused to pay them decent wages . To be specific he was paying his own appointed media aides 50k monthly without any other form of benefit whatsoever all in the arguement that he wanted to reduce cost of governance and bring about a paradigm shift in Nigeria with Edo State blazing the trail. Meanwhile he would allocate as much as 4 to 5bn Naira for the executive arm of government in every year's budget. To mention a specific one among the numerous instances of Obaseki's self-centered style of governance; after emerging the APC flagbearer in 2016 through Oshiomhole's help, he placed a call to one of Oshiomhole's former media aides who had left Nigeria to permanently settle in the US to relocate back to Nigeria and use his widely acclaimed guerrilla warfare journalistic skills against the PDP which was obviously having the upper hand in the media aspect of the smear nature of the campaign. On Obaseki's promise to make him Special Adviser on media if he became governor, this guy, abandoned what he had already ventured into in the US, relocated to Nigeria in good faith, and used his mighty pen to drown PDP and sell Obaseki to Edo State voters who hardly ever knew him all before then. But on assuming office Obaseki appointed this guy as Interim Chief Press Secretary and within 8 months, sacked him, scrapped the office, now actually created the office of special adviser on media into which he appointed a totally strange journalist from Lagos who had never been involved in Edo State politicking let alone being part of the struggle to enthrone Obaseki against the ravaging PDP and the powerful campaign force of Ize-Iyamu. Numerous other examples of such treacherous dealings by Obaseki were rife in his government. Such attitude of discarding the intellectuals who worked for him and replacing them with strangers and mediocres who were his own personal loyalists became too irritating for the Edo State APC to continue putting up with amidst poor performance on basic infrastructure and abandonment of Oshiomhole's initiated projects like Central Hospital, Red Roof Revolution of primary and secondary schools, Benin Storm Project, etc when compared with Oshiomhole's. This led to friction between Obaseki and the Edo APC members who feared that the party would lose Edo State in the next election if Obaseki was allowed to continue that way especially considering the fact that he won Ize-Iyamu very narrowly in the 2016 election. Led-by Samson Osagie, the concerned party members took the matter to Oshiomhole believing that Obaseki would respect his intervention as leader of the of the party in the state and nationwide. But rather than respect his benefactor's advise that he should be more accommodating, he cooked up the narrative that Oshiomhole wanted to become godfather and also accused him of mounting pressure on him to share the state's resources among party members. Unfortunately, the unsuspecting public which wasn't aware of the details of the issue fell for that narrative and voted him for second term and here we are today with the deadly consequence. |
DubaiLandLord1:If you are wondering why Edo people gave Obaseki a second term even though he couldn't name one major first term project of his during the campaign, then you probably never heard that the same Edo people voted Lucky Igbinedion for a second term in 2003 even when they heard Lucky's biological father say during the campaign of that year that his son's first term was a disaster. |
edmaraja:APC recognized and admitted the need for justice to be done to Igbos towards the peaceful coexistence of Nigeria and therefore held out the olive branch offer for Igbos to partner with the party in 2015 so that by 2023 (which is less than 2 years away from now) the party will concede its ticket to the SE, but you Igbos rejected it, insulted the party all you like, and chose to stick to the PDP which only considered you for VP slot after being out of power. So APC is not likely to offer you 2023 ticket now for fear of a repeat of the 2015 experience. Therefore only PDP is morally obliged to hand you its ticket, but unfortunately PDP is on the verge of betraying you right in your face in return for all the unquestioning loyalty and sacrifice you have made for it in the last 22 years as the PDP financial leader, Wike who is even a cousin of Ndigbo, has openly declared support for zoning of the party's ticket to the North even when Northerners themselves are afraid or at least shy of saying so openly but using the language of throwing it open, yet no single Igbo man has risen publicly to condemn him. So what exactly is the justice and fairness you folks always harp on with respect to 2023? |
JustforMen:While I don't support illegal refineries, I would agree with the monicker you responded to because, if anything, GEJ with his PhD should have known that the fact that those operators of those refineries labelled as illegal could refine crude oil without having seen the gates of the university let alone study Petrochemical Engineering while our graduates of that discipline cannot, is a pointer to the fact that all that is needed to simultaneously address the perennial relative fuel scarcity in Nigeria and restiveness in the Niger Delta over this same crude oil politics was convert the huge Niger Deltan Militants' amnesty budget to sponsor the operators to overseas schools for better training on modular refineries operation. But what did he do? He too, like all his predecessors, used JTF to haunt them throughout his tenure. No country becomes self sufficient by ignoring or haunting her indegenous talents for any reason. |
bkool7:Your submission above is exactly the position of mine and the other monicker Ussman. Recall that our argument is that Nigerians naturally prefer to vote for old faces and big names who ironically failed them in the past hence all this slogan of We-are-tired-of-old-faces is only a manifestation of fear of defeat by those currently on the weaker side but who ironically and hypocritically voted for an old face when they were on the stronger side in 1999. So how do you trust that they are sincerely committed to seeing a new face in Aso Rock when in 2019 they voted again for Atiku another old face to the rejection of young, fresh, and youthful new faces like Moghalu, Sowore, Durotoye, etc were begging them for votes and showcasing brilliant and workable ideas to back up their bid for the topmost office? |
ANDREW91:You seem to have forgotten that 1. Under the present government, a bill was sent to the National Assembly for devolution of more powers to the states but both the Senate and House of Representatives voted it down. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/1999-constitution-alterations-senate-votes-powers-states/amp/ 2. Buhari was, in a report of Punch Newspaper, was quoted as saying that he is not against establishment of state police as long as any state that decides to embark on it can fund it hence not start disturbing the FG for support. And come to think about it; with the over 700 million monthly average going to the states governors as security vote, which state can you argue will not be able to fund state police? Why are state houses of assembly not creating police for their respective states except Kano which created a religious-based one? |
Wahalaperson:You get time sha! A young naive innocent girl deeply in love with a castrated man and hoping that the man will one day love her back, sleep with her make her happy in bed has higher chances of realizing her dreams than for you to get Obaseki's supporters to, with all evidence on ground now, shamefully and humbly accept that they were fooled by Obaseki's Edo-No-Be-Lagos and kill-godfatherism gimmicks in the last election. |
ANDREW91:By my elementary knowledge of Government as a subject in secondary school, changing the laws of a country (which in this context is restructuring back to the true federalism we started with at independence) is a duty that rests with the legislature and not the executive. So how this argument about the prospect of Tinubu, Atiku, Osinbajo, etc being able or not being able to give us true federalism if they become president is something I don't understand. We can only talk about who of them is genuinely pro-restructuring and judging from antecedents, Atiku should not be mentioned where Tinubu and Osinbajo are being listed as advocates of restructuring. Atiku was with Obasanjo when the later convoked a parallel SNC to that of the civil societies in 2005 and he didn't take exception to Obasanjo. Atiku had and won eleven court cases against Obasanjo and none of the suits was about restructuring. |
bkool7:Are you suggesting that it was the military establishment alone that voted in 1999? Were there no members of the military establishment in Yorubaland where Obasanjo was overwhelmingly rejected at the ballot? |
discusant:APC recognized and admitted the need for justice to be done to Igbos towards the peaceful coexistence of Nigeria and therefore held out the olive branch offer for Igbos to partner with the party in 2015 so that by 2023 (which is less than 2 years away from now) the party will concede its ticket to the SE, but you Igbos rejected it, insulted the party all you like, and chose to stick to the PDP which only considered you for VP slot after being out of power.
