Head trauma even in the best of climes has a high fatality rate because even a 10minutes interval between when the incident happened and commencement of treatment on the head/brain can be fatal.
Now imagine when you have to prepare the person for operation that involves getting a neurosurgeon,that is not available or far away,even in developed societies.
Yes,the measures and equipment to keep the patient alive while definitive neurosurgical surgery is carried out still leaves much to be desired,but serious head fatalities eventually has greater death outcome than survival.
I agree that in areas of resuscitation and stabilization of patients in Nigeria,there is still some way to go.

I have a married female cousin who takes church serious more than her life, well I don't wanna waste your time with that part of the story.

I have tried to help her husband and her financially for a long time now and I'm afraid I've turned from helper to head of household, not funny. I jokingly told them to hang their boots after they had their fourth child but as I'm typing this, baby five just landed.

Their first son just got admitted into Unilag and guess who they called to help. I've severally decided to stop helping but thoughts of those lovely kids of theirs have always affected my decisions.

I told the newly college admitted boy to open a bank account so that I can channel my help properly but her mum said he wasn't 18 yet so she would be the one running the account until then.

A little background story.

My cousin is a graduate but helps her husband in an imaginary business of his which I have put in like N10m if not more yet nothing to show for it. I later switched to helping my cousin get a job, she ended up getting duped of the money meant to pursue the job Nigerianly.

She was/is my favourite cousin growing up and she was more than a nanny to my sister and I when we were little.

How can I put an end to this madness without feeling guilty about the kids? Mind you, I love their kids very much.

this ur statement is part of the reason why matters like this is difficult to address. always looking for whom to blame. And if u think this government have u in heart, u would just be joking. i tot u people use to say all this killing didn't start in this regime. If it has being happening while before now, why are you trying to attribute it to people trying to sabotage the government. I wanted to buy Yuko before I finally bought Favoil. Though the description on Yuko meets the specification of the Oil I wanted to buy. I didn't buy it because the oil does not have address of where it was produced. It only have made in EU (where in EU?). EU is a big economy community. its just like saying a product is made in Ecowas. Upon further research, I discovered that the Yuko is a Ukaraine company. I have nothing against Ukraine, just that I expect the address of where it is made to be boldly written on it. It may be a very good oil though but I have not used it yet. If I get good recommendation for it, I will try it.

Has anyone heard about an engine oil called Favoil fully synthetic engine oil. The oil was recommended to me and I was told that it was imported from UK. Though the oil is reasonably priced, cheaper than mobil 1 or castrol. I am just being careful not to use the wrong oil and at the same time I think the mobil 1 and castrol are very expensive.

Someone please help

look for yuko synthetic oil it's very nice i have being using it since last year on my Toyota Camry 2008 and my wife car i can beat my chest for that oil.
