bepositive11: You don't understand why I'm saying. If they're so desperate, why are they issuing so many refusals study permit? There are particular kinds of candidates that they're looking for, and for them PPR comes easy. For others, PPR is hard to come by. They’re 100 percent desperate to get more people in their country, under population is a problem for them. I have seen genuine and very solid applicants get denied and I’ve seen zero efforts get approved so please forget this your quality over quantity. Because the Uk is allowing students come in they’ve lost their lustre? The Uk has always been kind to students but not visitors, it’s just the situation(inflation, lack of employment & insecurity) in this country pushing everyone out that has made it very evident that people are leaving the country. Students have been going to Canada, usa, Uk and other European countries for many years but because a lot of people are struggling to leave at the moment it has made it more evident. |

bepositive11: I understand the frustration but I think Canada prefers quality over quantity. There are particular kinds of people they're looking for. I won't say that they're daft. This is laughable, which quality over quantity do you mean? Most of the people relocating to the Uk have their first degrees and are going for masters so what is the difference between them and those going into Canada for their masters? If you follow the immigration news for Canada you’ll know Canada is short-staffed immigration-wise and also just trying to develop new and better policies to make things faster. This whole influx is what Canada wants but they haven’t been able to handle it well, you can’t compare Canada with the Uk and the USA in terms of advanced immigration policies please this is not a hidden fact although geographically the UK is smaller. As I’ll always say Canada and the USA are neighbours but cannot be compared in terms of everything. |

Now,have come to believe that, 80% of people posting ppr here are fake like what eagleeyes said...Because I can’t imagine if that’s how ircc gives out visa,we won’t have a large volume of people traveling to UK every fucking day! Should we say charito’s documents are not perfect or her application is not strong enough....I have like 5different people that I know physically that applied since last year,no response from ircc till date including me...so sometimes, when I see some people posting their ppr,I be like ehnnn ehnnn this people go sabi the VO handling their applications o....Anyway,it’s well...getting Canada visa is not for the weak! Na steady stand strong This is a very hasty conclusion. |

fkj950ax: If I were Delta Airlines Africa or Nigeria Country Manager, I will do the same. Because Nigeria can’t get its act together because of bad governance doesn’t mean my income as a company should suffer. Find a friend or family in the US to book and pay for the flight for you. Arrange repayment to the person directly. For the first one, I cancelled I paid via Expedia with my dollar card. Expedia has a linked payment system with the airlines because the debit came from delta airline Atlanta. The second one I did I used vpn to access the delta site directly and paid with my dollar card too. So as a tip for anyone looking to pay ticket fares for delta and United during these hard times just use your usd card and make the payment via Expedia or use a VPN to access the airlines site to book with the airline directly. God help us all. |

fkj950ax: The flight cost hasn’t changed much from the good old days, even if you factor in inflation. It’s our economy, currency and FX policy that has gone to the toilet. Last year it was 444.5 now it’s about 755 or you pay your own usd. Everyone knows it all boils down to Fx and inflation and this airline one only began after the government didn’t give their funds a release from the central bank. Have you tried searching for flights on delta.com recently? It won’t even go if you input lagos as origin of flight, I had to use a Expedia. |

I’m just here to rant because I wonder where this country is going. If you want to fly delta or United to the USA you have to pay with usd (delta) or take the Naira rate by 750 not even the regular black market price United lagos office is quoting, I was happy when I rang their office and heard oh yes we take Naira until I heard the quote . I remember the 290k 250k good old days on Delta, will it ever return. God help us o! Flying them Qatar and others be like Israelite journey but some people are left with no choice. |

If you have answers already, why ask the question abinitio. I agree with you. A user asked for information, she responded to user from an angle of urgency, the same “question asker” is trying to push her to the kerb. Wahala dey this thread. This is why people will keep the jumping and passing questions. Most questions asked here have their answers on the internet but they won't search and someone still takes time to answer the questions and you get such a response. |

naxee9294: good morning yall pls is there anyone that can help us in this situation i got friend who was denied visa twice in lagos first one july and the second september all this year b1/b2 the first one we clearly knew why coz she was not the one that filled the ds160 an agent did and he already submitted for her to know what he filled second one we did shes a first time traveller and on a virgin passport this her transcript below where you goin NEW YORK u have any relative in the u.s YES MY UNCLE where does he work SHE TOLD are you married NO shes just 21 and in both forms her uncle was mentioned at point of contact now the question is IF SHE WANNA APPLY AGAIN CANT SHE JUST FILL ANOTHER FORM AND BOOK HOTEL INSTEAD OF HIS ADDRESS WHERE SHE GOIN STAY AND DONT MENTION HIM AT ALL AT THE INTERVIEW PLS HELP My personal opinion and I don't intend to be misquoted, twice this year is already enough please wait it out for a bit and reapply when her circumstances have changed, maybe new job or marriage. I don’t think the issue is filing her uncle as a point of contact. The issue is one of ties, what are her ties to Nigeria? Children? Good job? Husband? Investment or landed properties. The visa officers usually have boxes they want you to tick for them to issue the visa and she didn’t tick the box for the officer hence the refusal. If she keeps applying without a tangible change in circumstances she will keep getting refused and in this scarce date era please don’t stress yourself. If I were a visa officer I will wonder why you're applying for holidays in July and September of the same year, reeks of desperation. |

bepositive11: It's good that Canada has made the application process easy, but lawyers are sadly still needed in some situations.
That makes your situation harder to judge. I wonder if his Nigerian influence had something to do with it. Anyway, I hope it all works out for you. Sadly ke, Abeg o. Just have a contemporary perspective, it’s uncommon in nigeria to have a lawyer except you're in a crime that requires litigation but abroad you go get lawyer (crime or not). So lawyers aren’t sadly needed, in many cases abroad they’re essential and there are checks and balances in place. By the way, not all immigration consultants are lawyers, to be an RCIC doesn't require a law degree, it's a separate diploma anyone can study for and be licensed in once you meet the requisite requirements. |

tmtech: Morning guys , pls my guy needs help.
I introduced this page to my friend when he started his Canada student visa application. Unfortunately, he was denied on his first attempt , so someone introduce an agent/immigration lawyer (in Canada) to him. He paid close to 500k for the first application which was still Denied. The agent reapplied for him and this time , it came through. The agent is now demanding additional 730k to release his details to him and it is 1week already , he has 3 weeks to submit his passport.I tried to chat with the agent to pacify and bargain the money to a more reasonable amount, the agent blocked me .
Please is there anyway to retrieve his details or atleast get the agent to come to terms with him.
@sapte in noticed you had some issue with your agent at some point. Pls help.
Gurus in the house , kindly help. Don’t stress yourself, if this is truly what has transpired and there’s evidence, approach the law society via email or telephone call and report the matter , they will handle the matter properly. Every province in Canada has a law society and the province the lawyer practices in is the province he is admitted to the bar in. E.g for Ontario it’s the law society of Ontario LSO |

Why do most brothers or sisters who have lived in USA for over 20 to 30 years don't think of bringing their siblings in Nigeria over to join them in USA?
What could be the cause?
Is it that it is not possible or what because I am not understanding atall. It’s faster to bring parents in than siblings, you can file for your sibling but it’ll take many years for it to come through. |
