Same UBA that refused to increase final dividend in a long time. I trust Zenith and GTB more than the duo of Access and UBA.
stcool:
UBA yes, but Access is a doubt for me...That Wigwe man and pinching dividend na 5&6 grin grin grin

Bros, itchy finger is worrying me like this. I am currently sitting on over 200% in profit from access bank and the thought of a yearly dividend in 6digits when whatever he's cooking matures leaves me so undecided.
Mpeace:
Reason I didn't use Access as example.
I already promise that guy(Wigwe) that whatever he does, I will not sell my Access until whatever he is cooking with our money is done.
He wants to buy all the banks in africa before rewarding investors.

Mpeace:
Uba eps for the year should be over 15naira. So ordinarily they can pay even more than that. But...
Na Wigwe de fear me pass. Man can decide to pay 1.20 naira like he did last year. Imagine every other bank increased interim dividend but they still maintained their 0.30k.

That's exactly what my question points to. You can max out 300-400% in some stock(penny stocks for example) and as body de sweet you seeing other stocks still riding the wave, you are tempted to enter there too.

How do you manage your emotions during bull season like this particularly those already in the market seeing their portfolio rising in leaps and bounds. I see emotions are high cheesy so one doesn't end up selling gold to buy bronze angry

I comot cap for people with the courage to still buy when we don't even know the top. One might end up being the one to carry the kaya in some of these stocks.

If you build a house for say 20m and another person invest in FGN bonds at 15 per anum, he gets 3m annually he can pay his rent with 1.5m and keep 1.5m for other investments. I personally will recommend investing first then build later from proceeds of investment especially if the building is for personal residency. In building you tie down both the value of the land and the money used in building.
Thank you

The koko is passive income or Investment income that is more than 300% of his rent.

Anything can happen to salary this is true. I remember how colleagues lost their jobs between 2015-2016. It came as a ride shock to everyone.

Since his passive income or investment income is about N6 million and his rent is about N1 million.

I don't think he should rush to build a house.

He will spend about N20 million or more to buy an apartment just to avoid paying a rent of N1 million per annum,
Your opinion will be passed on. Thank you

[quote author=emmanuelewumi post=127578236]I believe rent should not be a big deal if you have Investment income that is over 300% of rent expenses. This is well taken care of from his salary.

Value of the assets quoted above are an opinion and can be lousy, cash flow is a fact.

In my personal opinion, his cash flow is more from salary and dividends from shares. Those are guaranteed. Total cost of his shares is about 18m. Rent can be unpredictable but if his tenants pay as they should, 2m is guaranteed

What is the average Investment income generated by his
cypto - not sure, but over 4yrs he has made at least $30k in profit.
Mutual Fund - $2000
shares on NGX - 2-3m in dividends annually and
property - 2m minimum
Then what is his rent expenses per annum - less than 900k
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by debeey87(m): 6:26pm On Dec 22, 2023
A 36yr old with rental income of 2m annually, monthly salary of between 900-1m after tax. $50k(total portfolio valuation) in crypto and $20k in dollar mutual fund, over 20m in paper profit from ngx shares but pays rent.

If this were you, would liquidate any of this asset class to purchase a home or continue to grow your networth

Don't join them in doing that please, it is not good for your mental health, always trade with the money you can afford to lose. Some that traded with loan during 2008 meltdown found themselves in grave, some resulted to stroke.

People need to abstain from greed while investing. It better to sell your existing stock to buy another rather than taking loan from finance houses.
Depends on your risk appetite, age and approach to investing. Moreover your collateral is the same stock you want to sell to buy another.
I don't do it tho as I am not that risk averse

This is an extract from agm resolution from pz. Appears they reduced their share capital by halving it.

Does this have any implication on the delisting price? Also the price jumped more than 2naira on the day this agm was concluded perhaps as a result of this decision.

I recently discovered that money apps like palmpay and opay give 20% and 16% respectively on their savings account for 1yr.

The interest are also available daily on a prorated basis. Asides the fear of closure r loss, isn't it better than fixed bonds(of course one can earn more from bonds if rates changes).

Will appreciate opinions.

Aside from the fear of delisting Oando, all eyes should be on the day oando will conclude with Naoc. Expect massive bull from that day.

Buying NAOC makes oando an operator in the E&P
They have always been an operator only that they mostly are in JV with the major IOC.

Earlier in the week, someone asked if anyone had received Berger paints dividend. In case this is your first time buying the stock and have other shares with meristem as registrars, send them an email @ info@meristemregistrars.com. I did same and no need to fill share transfer form or e-dividend form.

Except Stanbic IBTC nominees are selling their stake for a premium, there's no way the purported cabinet member will get a controlling shareholding. GSK PLC is the parent company of the largest institutional investors in that business bringing their total shareholding to at least 44%. So how will a hostile takeover happen? Stanbic holds 9% taking you to 54% so how the minister wan do am?

Over 3 million units of NAHCO are currently on offer. Seems your broker is bidding at the bottom price of the bid side.
I am not bothered about the offers. Asides from today, it trades over a million or less on most days and price will still close the same. That was what prompted my statement. I de behind the driver seat from km7. We will see where we're headed soon.
