They are more like a custodian company for debt and equity. Seems a lot of the tier one banks have such in their portfolio. Stanbic IBTC asset management limited uses Uba nominee's account to receive money from investors for some of the funds they manage like the money market fund.

But no one knows who UBA nominees is. For all we know, UBA nominees might be made up of a consortium of shareholders. Ote$ is still the largest individual shareholder in Transcorp today as we speak and if he wants to vex, he can begin fight with TOE. I'm just surprised at how Elumelu owns such a tiny stake in Transcorp and yet he is so powerful in the company's affairs.

Dead company
Buy the time they start making profit, they will come for delisting Lol
That delisting after becoming profitable is the worse. They will use the market to raise money to better the company and when it's time for shareholders to start enjoying the company, the offer MTO at a ridiculous price. Only Alhaji did well with Dangflour MTO by Olam and I'll say it was because he had a larger shareholding in the company.

with the raw cash DS control now. they are capable to pay all N4.5 earnings as dividend without seeking for external finance for it operations but they decided not to.

last year div. was N1, 50% improvement on last year dividend is not bad in my opinion.

like i said earlier. I expect the company to pay interim dividend this year.

DS will rise very well but it will not be on a straight line... watch out

will find time to check my bedsheet for the FP of the stock cool

grin grin grin grin
Improvement of almost double their sales in their retail sugar sale boosted their revenue. I can only hope the continues to improve their bottom line in 2023

Also, we have different of of ways of single phase
We have 4-way, 6-way, 8-way, 12-way. So you need specify number of ways

These arrangement is according to their quality LEGRAND, ABB, SCHNEIDER MEM(original), AB&T, HAGER, HPL, HAGER, HAVEL

20mm and 25mm pipes original is 2.9m long the short ones are not original dignity pipes So go for long one
Thanks for the response.
On the DB, I am considering AB&T and 8ways for 1-bed, 12 way for 2-bed. Community didn't allow us to take supply for 3-phase, so 3-phase DB was jettisoned for Single phase supply

@topsy @twinskenny how much does single phase DB cost(range looking at different brands of products) and what brand will you recommend.

Also why are there long/short PVC pipes for 20mm/25mm for conduit wiring. I am not getting a suitable explanation from Google.

Thank you

Per the plastering before ceiling or ceiling before plastering, I would go for any method that would not allow gaps for insects to crawl in.
Ceiling before plastering will definitely take care of that. Thanks for sharing
PropertiesRe: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by debeey87(m): 1:01pm On Feb 23, 2023
Are there other options for ceilings asides PVC, pop and slates.
I know there has been several arguments on the thread against PVC (aiding combustion during fire outbreaks, durability).

POP is out of the equation for me considering the initial capital outlay and the going rate for rent in my vicinity. I am left with PVC and slates or any other option available.

Also my carpenter is advising we do the ceiling first before plastering so the plaster can have a fine finishing over the ceiling wood as the wood no de straight sometimes.

Please share your thoughts.

Una don talk very well on the matter. My question stemmed from what we do now and what was obtainable in the past. My dad did surface wiring for his house and it's still standing like @redgem said.

I remember asking here months ago why we first do plastering on bathroom and kitchen walls then still use plaster sand and cement again to fix tiles instead of eliminating the first plastering and just fix the tiles directly on the blocks.

Personally, the cost implication is minimal but it's what I have seen people do around hence the question

@Topsy, @twinskenny, is it necessary to have 20mm pipes running through ceilings/woodwork or let me just ask, are there downsides to just running conduits in the walls only and running the wires naked in the ceiling cheesy

The question is now about original parts because the parts I replaced with were brand new to the brake pad sef. Are there brands that can be guaranteed as original?
Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by debeey87(m): 9:47pm On Feb 16, 2023
I changed the shaft and brake disc on my car last December because I hear that crank sound when the steering is fully turned bother ways and the steering vibrates when I brake from 80-100kmph.

Barely a week after that fix, whenever I turn the steering fully in the left direction, there's noise from the rack within the car, it has become more audible over the last couple of days.

Also, The vibration when braking has also returned but this time even at 60kmph, the steering shakes but not regularly.
The crank sound from turning the steering fully has also returned but not as bad as the prior to December fix and it happens when the steering is turned fully in the driver's direction to the left.

There's also some sort of drag when accelerating which wasn't present before the December job.
What line of action is best for me to take next.

Free cash flow of N11.7 billion, compared to operating profit of N8.6 billion and profit after tax of N6 billion.

Not forgetting the cash and cash equivalents of N68 billion at the end of 2022 financial year

Very good working capital with a current asset of N101 billion compared with a current liability of N50 billion.

I have a cash flow return on investment of about 18%, which I got by dividing the net operating cash flow of N12.5 billion by the capital employed of N72 billion and multiplying by 100.

Quick ratio of about 133% ie the cash and cash equivalent of N68 billion divided by the current liability of N51 billion .

EV/FCF is less than 1.CROIC ie Cash return on invested capital of about 130%

@ Current price, I don't believe these figures, can you assist me by digging deeper into this?
Thank you for the analysis. I was referring to Conoil I believe your analysis was on Unilever

Calculated my total dividend yield last night and saw that the bond yield currently will give me 50% more yield if I put my total money in the bond market.

Even at that I am not able to decide whether to sell all my shares and move it to bonds for the greater yield grin perhaps because of the ease with which I am able to cash out from my shares plus capital gains that has helped my portfolio grow in terms of capital appreciation.

I have even rebalanced my portfolio but it doesn't come close to what bonds will give even at 14%.
I'll like to hear opinions on what the best action will be. Steady cash flow is my investment objective for both short and long term

There’s a sawmill along obasanjo road, not far from the state hospital Ota. If you cross to the other side, okada guys can take you to another one inside Oloko side.
If you don’t want to go through much stress. There’s a small sawmill at a street along oju ore ilogbo road (Ahmed Akindele Street) . That Ahmed Akindele is a wood seller and you can trust him.
I have a property in Afobaje area. I paid 80k for my woodwork (Initial quote was 250k I think) back in 2016 and used about 60% of the quoted woods, all because of that man. I don’t have his contact again but he’s somewhere along that axis.
Building a property in Ota is not for the faint hearted. I must commend you sir.
This amount you paid back then was just for the wood work or the entire job itself
