TenQ: Islam had been a tool Mohammed had used to brainwash Muslims. The more the lies of Islam are exposed, the more they clutch on to it.
It beats my imagination when all the atrocities of Mohammed are ascribed to him as righteousness! If you really want to have a huge laugh about Islam, you should take a look here - https://www.nairaland.com/524918/muhammed-teachings-shaitan-satan-just. |

TenQ: I know you subscribe to neither: however you seem to be completely IGNORANT of Islam.
Mary the Mother of Jesus CANNOT be the Sister of Aaron or Daughter of Imran because they lived at least 1200 years apart. Mary is NOT even from the tribe of Levi which is the tribe of Moses and Aaron I am fully aware of the time differential - and I would have thought that you would have framed your poser with that as the key question, rather than wondering about the difference between a daughter and a sister and a wife. If I was you, I would simply have pointed at the time differential and left it at that. The question of daughter and sister and wife is neither here nor there. As I said, they could well be references to different people. Also you should be careful about lineages because they can skip erratically between the lineage of fathers and that of mothers. Jesus is called Son of David for example, notwithstanding being generations away from David - and not being the biological son of Joseph! |

TenQ: Is Mary the Daughter of Imran? Is Mary the Sister of Aaron and Moses? Is Mary the Wife of Pharaoh?
These are the Questions I can't see how it is impossible for her to be all three of these. I also can't see how it is impossible that these are references to three different people. I am just pointing something out, I trust you know that I do not subscribe to either the Christian or Islamic narrative. |

Now buying property is now a crime? What should be investigated is that if the fund used to buy the property is fraudulent. If not, then go to hell.
If EFCC list a building for sale and I bought it. Does that means I did wrong because the house was once seized due to fraud? What is wrong with you people? Is it that you are prepared to be fleeced and raped forever? Do you simply enjoy being stolen blind or what? How can you not ask yourself how the boy came about $11 Million for such a side luxury? Politics › Re: My Take On Comparison Between Ghana And Nigeria by DeepSight(m): 10:13am On May 02, 2023 |
wirinet: I believe the difference between Nigeria and Ghana that makes things seem to work is their value system is not as corrupted as Nigeria (yet that is, a we are moving our churches and prosperity nonsense over there). People still do their job without enducements. Police still works, civil servants still works, etc.
That's why I wrote about our value or should I say our religious system. We concentrate too much on the self, the ego instead of trying to build a just and prosperous society. We are taught that personal wealth and development is more important than societal wealth and development, and so we don't mind killing, cheating and destruction to achieve personal wealth and development. We can always "Japa" after destroying our homes and society.
That's why I support banning all Nigerian public officers from obtaining US, UK, Canada, European and Arab countries visa. Let them stay and suffer the destruction they caused. Abi oh my brother |

I think you need to experience Ghana to discuss this subject properly. There are some things which have since ceased to be a problem in most African countries, which are still a daily hassle in Nigeria. Nigeria is a peculiar place which seems determined to beat the life out of its long suffering people. |
Politics › Re: My Take On Comparison Between Ghana And Nigeria by DeepSight(m): 9:41am On May 02, 2023 |
wirinet: I don't believe the Ghanian economy is doing better than Nigeria, in the same vain Ghana is not better managed than nigeria. They are pactically in the same category. The difference is in the scale and size. Buy scale and size, i mean population, geographical size and the number of tribes and ethnic groupings. From the statistics you presented, these three are the most critical factors; Population: 32,833,000 213,401,000 Inhabitants/km²: 137.6 231.0 Birth rate: 28.04 ‰ 37.47 ‰
The population of nigeria is 8 times that of Ghana, the population density is about two times and the landmass is about three and a half times. To make matters worse, the birth rate is unsustainably high.
Now, one factor that affects Nigerian development and progress more than Ghana is religion. Nigeria's extreme religiosity which started in the late 70s/early 80s has had a destructive impact on the value system and morals of the society. And thus Nigerians are unable to distinguish rights from wrongs. Nigerian religiosity focuses on the self - self prosperity, blessings and interests, instead of pursuing societal progress and development. That's why Nigerian has the highest number of religious buildings in the world but the most criminal minded, wicked and unsympathetic people. There are crimes that only happens in Nigeria - like using women and children for money making rituals.
Those things you mentioned like poor infrastructure, poor security and the systemic collapse are all human problems and not necessarily government. Why, because Nigerians choose to be dishonest in the dealings with others. Those charged with responsibilities are only interested in stealing the money. If you like change the system and the personalities 10 times, the result would be the same. In a country where Professor Nnenna Oti is celebrated for just doing her job, then you realise little is expected from an average Nigerian. How familiar are you with Ghana? |

xevove2061: Look at then in the 50s, these men were in their late 20s and very early 30s when they took the helm of affairs of the nation at the time, but a 30 year old man in present day nigeria has not dome anything meaningful with his life yet. Without making excuses for anyone or any generation, I should mention that there is a deeper historical reason for this - and it rests with the fact that as a new nation just coming into its own, the younger generation formed the majority of the educated class at the time, while much older people were, more often than not, either illiterate or semi-literate. Needless to say, as time went along and things evened out, that younger generation has grown into an educated and experienced older generation. That's the reason. |

The book of kings and chronicles contains what history? State it. Not to forget that most of the books are written by unknown authors and gotten from different sources.
If something is of genuine history, why won’t historians quote it? How then did you conclude is it of true history? You’re been apologetic right now.
Mention the single true line in the bible if you are sure and not been delusional. You need another good clock to know when the broken clock will be right twice in day. What are the sources outside the bible? Or you are using a broken clock to know when a broken clock will be right twice a day? My dear, I don't owe you an explanation. If you believe every single line therein is a falsehood, that's your cup of tea. |

Maynman: Bible means collection of books, that’s many books were added together to make up a single one called bible, so which book in the christian bible or jewish Bible has a great deal of wisdom? The Books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. Which history does the bible have? The Books of Kings and Chronicles detail quite a bit which should not be lightly dismissed. Do archaeologists or historians quote bible as a source of history? They don't need to. Please tell us the truth inside bible. I cant do that, there is too much to cite (just as there is much falsehood, myth and barbarism to cite). If your view is that there is not so much as a single true line in the Bible, that's your cup of tea. That's of course, an unrealistic view. Even a broken clock will be right twice a day. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Nigerian Lady Says Prayer Is A Waste Of Time, No Jesus by DeepSight(m): 12:12pm On Apr 21, 2023 |
Maynman: Scripture means writings, you mean jewish scriptures? If you’ve ever look up on the origin of how “scripture” was written you would have seen that it was written as a fiction. The Bible is not my creed, and it does indeed contain a lot of myths, fantasies and even outright falsehoods - aside from barbaric injunctions. However it also contains a great deal of wisdom, useful moral counsel and yes, history. If you are one of those people who are "all or nothing" in their perspective, that's your problem sir. The world is seldom all white or all black, it is mostly grey. People are not all good or all bad, they are a mish mash of both. In the same way, something like the bible is a mish mash of all sorts. You seem to have the misguided view that it is 100 per cent fiction and 100 per cent false hood. That is not a nuanced take. |
