He had no real control over the dollar to naira rate in reality. The pegging of exchange rate was a subsidy disguised with accounting and financial jargons. It is like blaming Kyari of NNPCL for subsidy removal instead of those who supervised a porous border and those he reports to. Emefiele's job was to ration scarce forex. He doesn't generate forex. NNPCL largely does.
The USD spiking from N200 to whatever was a function of demand and supply of forex. As the main source of forex, govt was selling fewer barrels of crude at lower price and that impacted the availability of forex at that time limiting forex emefiele had access to. In order to meet diverse needs of importers of various goods which include boxers(underwear), milk, toothpick and toothbrush. Tell me if in his shoes, will you deny an agriculture firm forex to import machine part and continue massive food production or send the forex to a toothpick importer too lazy to process chewing stick into toothpick locally? Emefiele rightly disowned such importers and condemned them to black market for forex while the forex govt(NNPCL) supply dwindled. Supply and Demand are tsunamis of economics that influence prices and they are not determined by one man who foolishly tried to become an overnight politician.

Its obvious to me that you belong in the category of people who deserve leaders like him. I leave you to your thoughts.

I already aired my thought on those. He messed up big time with that. But before then his thinking and actions were balanced and he was undoubtedly the Akinwunmi Adesina of Buhari's govt. Well, I am glad you at least admit this. But please know that at no time was this man a star performer. The USD at less than N200 in 2015 to the way it spiked speaks to his incompetence as well. Furthermore the Naira redesign policy was a disaster and many people lost their lives as a consequence of that nightmare, please do not lightly dismiss it. Overall, he was dripping with corruption, abuse of office and the worst kind of incompetence and thoughtlessness.

The only issue I have with this is that it is universal and impersonal. It indicates nothing personal in life whereas the inner subjective life of each person is very personal and driven by personal goals and ambitions and I think thats what is being asked here.

I don't know why the Senate and House of Representatives are holding their sessions in committee rooms. I can only assume that it is because the main chambers are being renovated (I don't know for sure).

A similar thing happened in the Executive sometime around 2020/2021. For several months President Buhari had council meetings at the First Lady's Conference Room, rather than at the Council Chamber. I assume that the Council Chamber was being renovated at the time.
