There's also a possibility the lady is already dead . But hospital staff should learn to communicate properly.

Islam › Re: Controversies Sorronding The Celebration Of Maoulid Nabiyy by DeepSight(m): 10:04am On Sep 29, 2023 |
Lukgaf: There have been controversies surrounding the celebration of the birth of our noble Prophet. Inspired by a post I found online, which was credited to Mufti Menk, I would like also to pose the following questions in the hope that they will help clarify some doubts.
Let's ask ourselves these questions; we don't have to be a Mufti or a Sheikh to know the answers.
Question:
1. The Messenger PBUH lived for 63 years in this world. Did he, for once, celebrate his birthday? NO.
2. The Quran was revealed over a period of 23 years. Did Allah forget to send down a verse instructing the Prophet or Muslims to celebrate the Messenger's birthday? NO.
3. Abu Bakr, Omar, Othman, and Ali were the best of men to ever live after the Prophet. They loved the Prophet more than any other person, dead or alive. Did any of them celebrate the birthday of the Messenger while he was alive or after his passing? NO.
4. Fatima lived for many years during her lifetime. Did she, for once, celebrate the birthday of her father? Do you love the Prophet more than Fatima? NO.
5. Al Hassan and Al Hussain, the two grandchildren of the Messenger, lived for a long time after the demise of their grandfather. Did they, for once, celebrate the birthday of the Prophet? NO.
6. After the Quran, Sahih Bukhari is the most authentic book in Islam, the highest authority concerning the sayings and actions of the Prophet. Did Imam Bukhari ever mention Maulud? NO.
These are simple questions, and the information is not fabricated. You can check any history book or Hadith collection, and you will confirm it.
No one, including the Prophet, celebrated his birthday, and Allah did not instruct anyone to celebrate it. So, who are you to come and tell us that Maulud is prescribed for us? From where did you get this prescription?
Do you love the Messenger more than Allah?
Do you love the Messenger more than his friends (Companions), his daughter, or his grandchildren?
Why are you introducing an act of worship after the Messenger has already said: "This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as a religion." - [Surah Al-Ma'idah | Ayah 3], meaning that Islam is complete. When did you start receiving revelations from Allah?
I will conclude with the hadith of the Prophet: “Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt.” [At-Tirmidhi]
May Allah guide us all and protect us from the whispers of Shaytan. Same with Christianity and Christmas I guess - save that Christmas (and Easter) actually both have pagan origins. |

zeestone99: It's sheer absurdity, why was it there in the 1st place and not talked about until now. The reason is it was put there intentionally and now it backfired. Who do we blame. There was nothing put there that was not normal. Its only a very perverse reading of what is there that will twist it to mean 25 % of FCT is compulsory. |
Politics › Re: Presidential Poll: Abuja Can’t Be 37th State, Atiku, Obi Tell Supreme Court by DeepSight(m): 8:50am On Sep 23, 2023 |
wirinet: The constitution (as interpreted by President Tinubu's distractors) did not talk of disqualification, it says a rerun shall be held between the two leading candidates, and anyone with a simple majority in the rerun becomes the president. They interpret it as 25% the states of Nigeria on one hand and 25% of Abuja being a representation of the whole of Nigeria on the other hand. And also due to the fact that the president automatically becomes the governor of Abuja. It is nothing but sheer absurdity to ask for a rerun if one candidate wins 100 per cent of all 36 states and fails to get 25 per cent in Abuja and the law avoids absurdities. Furthermore it amounts to giving the people resident in Abuja an undemocratic veto power over the rest of the population. |
Politics › Re: Presidential Poll: Abuja Can’t Be 37th State, Atiku, Obi Tell Supreme Court by DeepSight(m): 8:48am On Sep 23, 2023 |
wirinet: You still don't get it. We are talking about the misnomer in mixing the Governorship election and the presidential election in one vote for Abuja only. No other state has that problem. When Abuja residents and indigenes go out to vote in the presidential election, they are also voting for their governor. You would expect under a democracy that the person that hopes to govern a people would at least have a minimum number of votes from the same people. I think your mistake is not understanding that all Nigerians are stakeholders in the FCT and thats why all Nigerians get to decide the governor of the FCT (the president). I also hope you know that the land which comprises the FCT was since formally appropriated under law decades before the FG moved there, along with movements of populations and compensations in land and funds. |

The ignorant pea brains don’t know the western nations where the demand for chocolate is high, have imposed impossibly high tariffs on chocolate and processed cocoa imported from Africa since over a CENTURY ago.
Forum of ignorants. Many thanks. It is truly pitiful when people are either ignorant of, or discount the effects of colonization and neo-colonization. Take Haiti for example. They had to pay France in order to get its recognition of their sovereignty - and that recognition was crucial to be able to trade internationally at the time. This payment went on for over a century, thereby badly retarding the capacity of the country to meaningfully develop. This is just a tip of the ice berg. there is so much more and so many layers to this all across the world. This is not to discount our responsibility to take our future in our hands, which of course we must do and are doing - it is just to say that one must have a round picture of the whys and wherefores of things. |

A nation which is last in everything in the world and their coconut and believe they are the best Well you are definitely last when it comes to the written word. wirinet: I must confess that I am exaggerating the positives of military governments, you too must recognise that you are on the other extreme, which is failing to see whatever positives the military rule and failing to acknowledge the flaws of democracy as currently practiced. All we can do is acknowledge that Nigerian Governments have all been corrupt, civilian and military, and stop trying to exalt the military over the civilian. One thing you cannot take away from previous military governments is they are highly patriotic than the current set of politicians. Yes they were autocratic, but they were less tribalistic and less disruptive to national unity. They did not tolerate any threats to the unity and sovereignty of the country - both external and internal. I was in Sokoto for 2 years during the reign of IBB and I had the best time of my life. I guess less tribalistic is why almost all the military Heads of State were northerners, and why Northerners dominated the army from the sixties. Yes no lawyer was jailed by the civilian administrations because most if not all prominent human rights lawyers have become political, and so do not confront or protest against civilian misgovernance. But others who do criticise or are in the bad books of the civilian administrations had been harassed and sometime locked up for long periods without trial. El Mustapha was locked up for 13 years without trial. Many journalists and their media houses have been harrased for being critical of the government. A student was locked up and beaten up by the first lady for writing a critical post on social media. All these were under civilian rule. All this is child's play compared to what went down under the military. I dont need to cite instances, I am sure you know. Let me also add that the human rights abuses by SARS is not rivalled in any military administration. The only difference is that it affected only the poor and powerless, while most human rights abuses by the military was felt by the elite. Like the June 12 riots right? Please sir. I still stand by my assertion that very few military administrators and generals stole during civilian regimes. I know a few of them. Name one former civilian administrator that became a billionaire on leaving office. I am sure I know the general you are referring to personally, and i can tell you he never stole while in government. He became a billionaire more than 18 years after leaving the army and government.
Which senior military officer is a billionaire? Is it Marwa, Rasaki, olurin, Bode George, or Diya. Even Aikhomu could not be said to be a billionaire before he died. How funny you choose to list these mostly southern powerless officers when everyone knows that power and privilege in the military rested mostly with the Northern corp of officers. |

wirinet: I agree with you 100%. The president and Governors in this our version of democracy are more like Emperor and Kings. They fear no consequences for any action they take. See Wike that rigged an election openly and brazenly. He was rewarded with the governor of FCT. I really feel sorry for the people of FCT. Wike will rule them like Pharaoh.
Under military regimes only the head of state and very few aids were able to steal. Most of the critical infrastructures in the country today were build by military regimes. Under our socall democracy, stealing is free for all. Even a CBN governor was stealing without any fear or favour.
Military regimes in Nigeria obey court orders netter than the so called democracy. Gani Fawehinmi, Fela, Tai Solarin all survived under military dictatorship. I doubt a Gani Fawehinmi could survive under the current civilian government. A democracy where a governor is controlling the judiciary, the legislature and the Local governments and elections, is that one Democracy? You always exaggerate the positives of the military governments. I only smile each time I hear you repeat the falsehood that the military obeyed court orders better. For what its worth, Gani went to Jail a zillion times under the military. Someone like Femi Falana who is still alive and practicing has not been to jail once since 1999. Nor has any civilian government jailed any lawyer or journalist of note over criticism. Something that happened all the time under the military - even to my own father. I doubt you even know what an Ouster Clause is. Clauses in military decrees which oust the jurisdiction of the court. My friend, you need to pipe down on this adoration of military governments. I have told you before that it is natural that critical infrastructure would be built in our earliest days - military or civilian. However it is not true to say that civilian governments have not built equivalent infrastructure all things considered. Also this idea that only the Head of State and a few cohorts were able to steal under the military is so false that I have to wonder if we live in the same country. There isn't a senior military officer of the military era who is not a retired billionaire up till today. If they didn't have billions, they occupy most of the prime real estate in the country up till today. |
